✓ No train and bus trackingThis app shows you route maps and where you are with respect to stops and stations, but doesn’t show you where the train is located on its route so you know how soon it is coming. This was what I was hoping for so I can select the soonest bus or train and time my arrival at the stop or station..Version: 4.10.1
✓ TrackingThe only thing I hate is that the app tracks my location even when I’m not using it and it’s not even open. I’ll be sitting in my house and it’ll tell me I’m almost at my stop.Version: 2021.1
✓ Cancelled BussesI’ve been using RTD for years and was hoping that this app would finally give me the cancelled ride notifications that we all want and deserve but, no. No such luck. RTD will forever cancel busses without informing anyone at all. It’s literally a two second fix, but the developers of this app can’t make it happen. Instead, you can look forward to being informed that your bus is due at any moment despite the driver not showing up for work five hours ago..Version: 2019.11
✓ It’s fineThe RTD system is virtually useless - times are either incorrect or missing, updates to service changes give you an unusable link for “more information” and often times the transportation you’re waiting on just doesn’t even show up or show it’s cancelled, causing you to waste even more time waiting on the next one to (hopefully) show up. Denver needs to fix the entire transportation system, but starting with this almost useless app is a good start. At least it’s better than the other “app” that just opens a browser page for every link..Version: 2023.1.12
✓ AmbivalenceI finally figured out how to plan a trip and save it. Nifty. There’s a problem for me with viewing the trip, however- once I’ve scrolled down the screen, I can’t scroll back to the top of the trip and must “go back” to resubmit as a workaround. Not sure why. ✓ Fix your timingI have been using this app a lot recently and the past couple times I’ve been trying to go on the 1 it says it’ll be here in 9 min then I’ll wait a bit and it’ll say “57 min “ and then I have to find a new route to get home please fix this it makes everything harder it’s overall a good app but that one bug keeps making me miss a lot of important things ..Version: 2022.3.2
✓ Usually goodOccasionally i experience phantom trains on this application. The application will show the train’s arrival time at a station, show the train approaching the station, show the train as having departed the station, and show the train as moving toward the next station. The only problem is that I am at that station and no such train has arrived. Otherwise, it is a good application..Version: 2019.12
✓ Works well if you already know what you are doingIt’s a sound app that runs quickly and integrates the map well. It doesn’t help you figure out what kind of bus pass you need based on your route though, which seems like a big oversight. I don’t know what counts as local or regional (and the RTD website doesn’t specify either) so I have no idea what pass I need. Fix that and I’ll bump you up to 5 stars.Version: 4.10.1
✓ DataI think you should make it so you don’t need data or WiFi to use this. My phone isn’t turned on and I need to take the buses and I have a hard time kwnoing where to go because it doesn’t keep up with me. I think this would be super beneficial for a lot of people. ✓ Needs some workThis app seems a little wonky to me. I was actually sitting on the A-line train at the airport the other night and wondered what time my C-line connection would be at union Station. The app never gave me the A-line to C-line connection. It continually gave me bus routes from the airport to union then the C-line connection so proved to be of little use in trip planning. It was useful in looking up schedules and other good info about RTD so gave it 3 stars.Version: 4.9.1
✓ Limited usefulnessThe app would much more helpful if it allowed bus stop numbers to be entered as favorites so you get information on buses going in the desired direction instead of a vague spot on the map that doesn’t necessarily give the desired bus information..Version: 2022.6.1
✓ Terrible.I am a student who use the light rail to commute daily. The times are always off, I find myself constantly trying to find the quickest way home, and trains are always late, arrive earlier than it is listed on the app, or they never arrive at all. I find myself constantly trying to rearrange plans for the day because the app is so inaccurate. I am currently waiting for a train which said it would arrive by 12:34, but I got to the correct station, and when I refreshed the page it said the train had actually arrived around 12:27. Fairly disappointed with this app, I will be better off finding a new method to rely on for my transportation..Version: 4.10.1
✓ Update is terribleI don’t know why you idiots thought it was a good idea to take away the “estimated arrival” times for the individual busses. I don’t want the departure time, and then have to do math to figure out what time I’m going to be at a certain stop to transfer busses, how am I to know I’m going to make it in time to transfer busses? ✓ Absolutely embarrassingRTD app is absolutely the worst reliable source for accurate times. They calculate your travel time by their schedule rather than the actual time the bus is going to be there. You expect a bus at 1:00 pm and it doesn’t arrive leaving you to wait in Denver winter for another half hour before the next bus (if it does come) to arrive. ✓ InconsistentI have used this a couple times, half of the time it’s accurate, and the rest it isn’t. I’ll be waiting at a bus stop for a bus scheduled to come in 5 minutes, it never comes, I refresh the page and somehow that scheduled bus stop never existed and I’m left either waiting for thirty minutes to multiple hours more, or walking to where I need to be..Version: 5.3
✓ Bus is never on timeI just recently had to start using RTD, can’t say it’s the best service. The app will say the bus is leaving at one time, but you get to the stop and the bus is always late. In fact as I write this review the bus should have left according to the app at 10:11, according to the driver not until 10:19 however we are still sitting here for some reason. It’s really sad since so many people depend on this service to get places on time..Version: 2019.12

✓ Easy fix for 5 starsThis app has the most infuriating shortcoming, and it’s a 30 minute developer fix. When searching light rail, you have to start with “Line” instead of the destination like “Ridgegate”. No one says “I’m going to take Line Ridgegate”. Literally no one. Change search logic to “contains” instead of “starts with”. It’s that simple. And then this app would be one of the best. I’ve brought this up to the developer inbox multiple times, it’s insane they’ve redone the UI and still haven’t fixed this one issue. If there’s a reason for this I’m missing, I’m all ears..Version: 2019.9
✓ R line frequently cancelled.I look to the radio wave symbol next to a train because that is supposed to represent real time. I rely on accuracy and real time to arrive at work on time. I have come to expect that one or two trains will be missed due to inaccurate info and cancellations, which are NEVER shone. This site is a best case scenario marketing platform. ✓ TerribleThis app is the biggest piece of garbage ever created. The times are wrong more often than not. The bus’s location is always off. I cannot even count the amount of times I’ve missed a bus I needed to get on because of the app’s terrible accuracy. ✓ Fix itWhat happened to just showing me train times? Why do I have to tell it the time of day I want to travel? Useless extra steps. Also live tracking? ✓ No way to contact & routing needs to be improvedProblem #1 is that their in-app “Send Feedback” page doesn’t allow you to submit your message, so there is no way to contact them without digging on the internet to try and find contact info. Proble #2: I wasted my time finding their website and typing out a message only to encounter another error with their contact form - HTTP 401 on their own form submission to their own site. If they can’t even maintain their basic website, I have no hopes for the app to be improved. Now, on to the app: The routing could use an refactor. For a trip from North Boulder to Union Station, a chosen route taking the 204 to FF2, why do you have the trip transfer at Broadway and 20th instead of the downtown boulder station? One reason to do this is to ensure that one can get on the FF2 with luggage or a bicycle. Another benefit is that when people board the FF2 at the station while the bus is just sitting idle is that the trip times will decrease with less people getting on the bus mid-route, decreasing dwell time. Making apps for public transportation should not just check a list of features, it should be tested and thought out to the actual experience. Otherwise it’s just another app in the App Store..Version: 4.10.1
✓ UnreliableI’ve waited for buses that show up on the app but the bus never shows up. This has happened more than once. I see the message stating that the buses position is based on the schedule which suggests to me, what is this app good for. I can read a schedule. ✓ Not ImpressedI’m a software engineer and this is a mess. You click show me train and light rails only and it gives you the next bus route, only! Not intuitive at all and it freezes up too. ✓ Functional butApp I good and useful. But there were several annoying things. When you zoom out too far on the map, the stations and stops disappear. Please make it so the icons stay no matter what so folks can find their nearest station that way. On the map view, the top left icon (Apple app) that appears to be to sort transportation types does not seem to change anything or open a window to edit filter on the map. Finally, when trying to submit feedback in the app, I cannot press the preview button to advance to the submission stage. So I can not submit feedback. ✓ WorthlessThis app is completely worthless. RTD is plagued with canceled routes due to driver shortages and these are known by RTD the same day. However there is no indication on this app of when a rout is delayed or canceled. The map and schedule functions on the app show canceled routs as being on time, even show the train arriving at the stations. The only thing the app is useful for is that it has a map. ✓ Horrible timing.Bus never comes when it’s due. If you check how long til it arrives, it shows a bus icon approaching. No bus comes. I usually have to wait an additional 15 minutes because the app screwed up navigating the actual bus that was supposed to be due. I’m extremely disappointed. Always late. ✓ Useful only if you’re leaving nowIt isn’t very easy to try to find today’s schedule for rides, just the one coming up next. I spent a few minutes poking around and still can’t find all the times that Skyride runs to the airport today. I can find every stop that the next run makes. But I can’t find the next run after that. Not to mention that the app is still tied to an iPhone size interface. On the iPad, there should be plenty of room to build a decent UI. The development team needs to find somebody who’s never use the app before, and watch them try to find data on it, to learn how non-developers think..Version: 4.12.1
✓ Don’t Heavily Rely on itPlenty of times I’ve checked the app for a bus and see that it’s quicker to walk than wait for another bus. Then a bus that’s not supposed to be there for another 25 minutes pass right by me. Sometimes the buses won’t pop up and I’m guessing it’s because the bus is supposed to have already arrived. It’s 1/10 times this happens to me, just a little inconvenient sometimes..Version: 2019.11

✓ One star for the issue with the airport stationI’ve tried to convince so many people to use rtd to get to the airport. it’s like a 30 min ride from union. but if you put it in this app to find the next ride, it will always say it’s an hour trip. it’s not . the end of the trip says “walk 20 min” to your destination after getting off at the airport station. if you look closely at the map, this app thinks you have to walk around the whole airport to get to the car entrance for the airport. you don’t. it’s literally 2 min from the train stop to the doors that open to the security line. no crossing roads, no sidewalks even. it basically drops you off *in* the airport. the airport ride is the most useful train ride we have here, make it accurate!.Version: 2022.6.1
✓ Fine but very limitedIt works fine, not buggy. It generally tells you when your next bus will be. The Plan Trip feature does not always include all buses departing from your initiating point going to your destination, so there might be a better route but the app won’t tell you about it. What I don’t like is that it does not have a feature to tell you when the standard departure times are for a particular route (it will tell you the standard stops). You have to go to the RTD website and pull up the route info to get the times. Overall not a good substitute for paper route booklets..Version: 4.12.1
✓ Difficult to actually find departure times from busy stationsMaybe I’m missing something but there is no way to look at individual departures from union station by specific line. I take the W line and it is difficult to discern when it will be leaving from union station. If I select the W line it only allows me to see what time it is getting to the Decatur federal station. It’s really aggravating to not be able to easily see when a train will be leaving from union station. And then when I tried to post this as feedback it would not allow me to submit, so now it’s a review..Version: 2019.12
