✓ Like the control BUT....I love this app because i can control how much my kid plays and what I can restrict. What I don’t like is the bug I noticed right away. I was testing it out and when I switched from a bedtime to NONE, it still was counting down 5 min on the switch, which made no sense. Also I keep getting error messages on my app which I think is weird. Anyways please fix these issues, check the app for bugs nintendo! UPDATE: One thing I recently don’t like is that if I disable the parental controls on the switch itself, I can’t enable them from the app. For example I disable the controls only so my son can play “fortnight”. But that also disabled the bed time and the game shutting off. I HATE this! I need it to be where I can disable for that game only but not the time limit. Nintendo please fix this!.Version: 1.10.0

✓ Generally works, but clock should offer 24 hour restrictions vs 4pm onwardI like that I can set maximum daily usage for my child, however I wish I could restrict access prior to 4pm given we are all home working and schooling during the day. ✓ Everything’s great, except...I absolutely love this app. It lets you see what games were played, on which profiles, and set limits on both age restrictions for the rating of games you’ll allow your family to play, AND it lets you set the amount of time you’ll allow them to play in a day. You can set bedtimes each day so no games can be played after the set bedtime as well. The only thing I don’t like is that you can’t control which profiles the limitations are applied to. It’s applied to every single profile on the console or none at all. What if I want to play after my kids go to bed? What if my kids sucked up all the play time for the day and now I want a turn? Technically, I could just enter my pin and temporarily give myself access, but I don’t want to have that barrier for my own profile. I understand why they did it that way, but I’d rather have the option of choosing who the limits apply to rather than it forcing me to apply it to everyone. Minus one star for that, but everything else is amazing..Version: 1.7.2
✓ The best device management appThis is by far the best device management switch out there. What is has done so successfully is changed the behaviour of my kids where they now understand ‘time management’. They know they only have a set amount of time to play the switch per day so they now break up that time efficiently placing homework and other duties around it. ✓ Needs just a bit more control on timingI love having the ability to control my kids’ playtime on their Switch from my phone. My kids have to earn their playtime by doing chores/schoolwork and the only thing lacking on this app is that I cannot create a “start” time that says they can’t play before noon for example. I also cannot limit them to 0 minutes of playtime to prevent them from playing before they have completed their required jobs. The best I can do is reset the time limit to 15min each night so they don’t end up playing for hours. But even 15min is more than they have earned at 7am when I don’t want them playing at all..Version: 1.14.0
✓ One thing missingThis is a great app that helps me control when my kids can play on their Switches. For the most part it works pretty well as expected. The one major feature that I see missing is the ability to set a "start time." For example, you can set a time which is considered "bedtime" and the Switch will suspend itself and the child will not be able to play anymore past that time. Which is great for preventing them from sneaking out of bed and grabbing their Switch and playing it. BUT, for some strange reason you can’t set up a start time, so if the kid wakes up at 6 AM and you don't want them to play until 8 AM too bad. They can wake up at 6 AM and play on their switch for two hours before you even wake up and there's no way to stop it. Please Nintendo add this feature and I will rate it five stars..Version: 1.7.2

✓ Easy to useThis app makes it so easy to mange my child’s devices. Would like to see functionality added that allows a zero minutes play (so when children have lost privileges the device cannot be used - currently the minimum time you can set is 15mins. Would also like to see ability to ‘blacklist’ apps - so, opposite of white lists. There are some apps I don’t wish my children to be using but they still fit within the age bracket. ✓ Not many parental controlsThe app is useful only insofar as it provides a summary of games played and amount of time played. The actual parent controls on the app are pretty minimal. Beyond being able to set a restriction on age appropriate content there aren’t really any other controls. We set the time limit on my son’s game playing but this is just a very quiet alarm which my son ignores, and he keeps on playing. Unlike parent controls on other devices (eg my son’s laptop) it is not possible to turn off the switch when the time restriction comes up . I suppose from Nintendo’s perspective they would rather kids kept playing…..Version: 1.15.1

✓ Time limitsI absolutely love the features on this app! Being able to disable the console after a certain amount of hours or after a certain time is amazing! My 9 yr old would spent every minute of everyday on it if we didn’t have this feature! I also find it helpful to view his screen time and what he’s been playing on. ✓ JazOverall a great App, I love that I can have the Gaming stoped by a certain time, setting times is easy, would be great to have a play no earlier than... option, we have a 9 yr old that will wake early to play when he should b still sleeping. My only gripe is it’s confusing to set up profiles for each child especially when they both have switch lites and a joint switch console, ( 3 consoles) my son plays games my daughter also wants to play but she can’t if my son has downloaded it on his Nintendo shop profile, the only way I can see them being able to play each other’s games is if u buy the physical game at the shops. ✓ Love the app... wish it does more...I like the you tube app on my Switch, but my son loves to binge on it, and I rather him doing something else on my Switch. Also, since the you tube app doesn’t switch google account when Nintendo accounts switch , my son ends up using my google account and screwing up my history—I have to manually out of you tube before closing the app to avoid this, which is inconvenient. ✓ 5star review - deffo worth the downloadI would deffo recommend this app, it does what it says it does. It reminds my child on his screen (top corner so doesn’t disturb game play too much) makes a little bell noise so that they look at it and realise that it’ll soon be the end of game play. The reminders are good as let’s my son know it’ll be over soon and won’t be too upset by the game turning off. 5stars in my opinion as u can set what ever time you wish for your child to play for. ✓ Fairly vital feature missingIt is pretty useless if you use one machine for multiple children, each with their own account. The way it is setup is great, but without the ability to set all the possible settings per account on the switch, it is pointless for a family with more then one child and “only” one nintendo switch..Version: 1.6.0

Changes are typically synced from the app to the Switch in under 10 seconds (and the “busy syncing” graphic is delightful). Two key quality of life improvements I’d like to see added are: 1) don’t just have a TURN OFF time (e.g. the Switch will only work until 9pm), but also a TURN ON time. I’ve got kids up at 6am on weekends playing on the Switch because there’s no way to restrict this - I’d like to be able to set it to not turn on until 9am for example. Please make this happen! 2) ability to easily grant “1 more hour” when time runs out. ✓ Thankful for this appI am very thankful for this app! This app has allowed a healthy balance for my kids. Once their time is up I can either add more or say “not right now” and they are perfectly fine with either answer. ✓ Pretty goodI don’t use this to restrict gameplay, I’m just using this to see my daily screen time, the time it says I play games for is fairly accurate and I found it to be pretty useful for checking how much time I spent playing games on my Nintendo switch. My only issue is that sometimes when I’m playing on my Nintendo switch it doesn’t notify the app, this usually happens when I’m not playing for a long time or if the app is running on my phone as I am using my switch, I would appreciate it if it could give more accurate results and to notify me when I’m playing for a short amount of time and when the app is still running of my phone.Version: 1.17.0
✓ Great but missing a few key optionsReally happy with very user friendly app based parental control options for the Nintendo switch. Best I’ve seen of comparable devices by a long shot. However there are a few key features missing: - really need a passcode lock for the whole device. My kids can pick it up an turn it on at any time. I’d much prefer to be able to allocate game time to them without having to hide the switch in the cupboard. - need an option for allocating 0 minutes play time on particular days. The minimum is currently 15mins. But some days I’d like to be able to keep the device turned off. - would really like to be able to allocate different levels if restriction to different users. Our kids are 13, 8 and 5. Is like the 13 year old to be able to play games that are too old for the younger kids but I have to log in and change while of device settings each time. ✓ Nearly perfectThis app has been a game changer in managing screen time and the ability to restrict timings individually each day is great but I do have a couple of suggestions. The first would be to add a start time as I don’t want the kids playing until 8am but the default is 6am. This would allow us to change the schedule each day more specifically. Secondly it would be helpful if when I disable alarms for the day I can turn them back on and when there seems to be a connection issue turning on the alarm there should be a background refresh from the cloud so it can be turned on when connection resumes.Version: 1.13.0

Setting a time limit for the whole family means one family member often ends up using all the time and not giving the others a go. ✓ Great for controlling game timeSo my kids love their switch! This little app allows my wife and I to set up an end time each day so the kids don’t stay up all night playing the console. Works like it’s supposed to when their timer is up the console essentially locks itself. Only way to unlock is to enter the passcode which is generated by the app or you can set one yourself. My wife and I use the one generated by the app so the kids will never guess it! Only flaw I can find is the app doesn’t allow for a start time for the console to be turned on such as 8 am etc... besides that every parent with a child who owns a switch should have this app!!.Version: 1.10.0
