✓ Ouch.Why they didn’t create two tiers blows my mind. I paid for content that was taken back from me. I bought a new bow this year… imagine hoyt taking that back from me because they came out with a “better model.” I see no difference. If elk nut announced this change and told us there was much more content available, I likely would have subscribed. The price is reasonable, however, they took back something I paid for, which left a sour taste in my mouth. Now I’d rather pay $15/month, download you tube videos, and call it a day. Ultimately it’s more expensive obviously, but it’s upsetting that elk nut has done this. I was out hunting today and went to access something from the app when I was presented with the dilemma. ✓ Why the switch to yearly subscriptionThis was hands down the best elk hunting app and probably still is but I’m not paying 25$ a year for something that was free for the last 3. All this info is available for free on the dozens of podcasts Paul has been on..TheBlackwalnutVersion: 3.1

✓ SubscriptionWas able to download the app, create an account and sign in. But wasn’t able to purchase a subscription. It just reloads and reloads. Resulting in not being able to use anything without purchasing a subscription. But I can’t even purchase a subscription..Ever slack boyVersion: 3.0

✓ Major disappointmentI gladly payed for this app earlier this year and now can’t access the content without paying for a yearly subscription. To do this during the middle of elk season and prohibit access to all of the downloaded content mid season is wrong and greedy. We should have access to the content we payed for and downloaded to our devices for offline use. I’m very disappointed and will not continue.ElknoobVersion: 3.0

✓ Forced to pay for something already boughtI am disappointed that the new update forces me to pay again for access to what I already purchased to use the last couple years. Was a great tool. I wish the new update was just a new app that you could choose to go to if you wanted to get more recent calling teachings/techniques. A discount price for the first year is still a second charge that shouldn’t happen from my perspective. It is certainly your choice to change the access to your teaching and experience. Thank you for your teaching and experience that I was able to access for the last couple years. ✓ The new app is garbageI bought the old app in July and used it almost daily getting ready for my archery hunt. I when out Labor Day weekend and the old app worked great as a field reference. Then when I got back in service the app updated and I lost all of my old content. They said I could get a free or discounted subscription but couldn’t get it to work so I ended up paying $14 for the annual sub. I downloaded content for off line usage, and when I went back to the mountains the new app wasn’t opening up the calls and sequences tab. THIS APP DOES NOT WORK IF YOU DON’T HAVE SERVICE! It is pretty useless now, and I’m upset they got money hungry and changed it right as hunting season started and screwed up my field reference guide that I had already paid for and they charged me again for and inferior untested app. Good content but garbage app..Mr.V iiVersion: 3.0

✓ DisappointingI bought this app and was happy with what it taught me. I was very disappointed that Paul changed the app to a yearly subscription. I will never buy this app again. ✓ Review was removedI wrote a review last week and my review somehow got removed. Either way I find this app terrible. Complete bait and switch. I purchased this app 3 years ago and had full access. Now it is no longer available. The fact that this was done during elk season also goes to show the ethics of the company. It would have been in the company’s best interest to provide an elk nut and elk nut pro. I would’ve been interested in purchasing the pro version if elk nut hadn’t taken away what was already purchased. Poor business practice..TrustmedudeVersion: 3.0

✓ Bought app few years agoI love the app and bought the app a few years ago. They changed the app and now have to pay every year instead of the one time. Very disappointed that this is the route that was taken. ✓ Had access less than a monthBought the app for$9.99 about a month ago because it was a one time purchase. Good content but when I went to refer back to it out in a hunt had lost access. Now it’s a subscription. That’s not what I paid for and only got a month out of it. I have hunted my whole life and was willing to pay 9.99 to see if I could pick up any tips, but not annually. ✓ MisleadingI want my money back. Very Misleading elk vocalisations, some of these calls will blow elk right out of your area. This app needs some elk behaviour and the meaning of most elk vocalisations. Without proper knowledge of what the elk are saying, it’s a guessing game on which call to you when. ✓ Not up front before updating appI agree with everyone else writing 1 star reviews. Every other app I’ve ever purchased, I still have access to. When I purchased this one for $9.99 it didn’t say anything about expiring or subscription. I go to use it for the second time and they want me to pay annually now… I understand the business standpoint… however, you have to understand the frustration with your customers and the lack of transparency..KennygunitstarVersion: 3.1

✓ What a jokeBought this app, it was great for about a month, then i couldn’t access any of the content without having to create an account and pay a subscription. I recall hearing a podcast paul spoke on, he said “I would never charge anything for this Information” and the original one time payment for the app was only to cover some production costs. At one time I would’ve given this a 5 star rating, pretty disappointed with it now, just wish I didn’t waste my money to begin with.
