✓ Black Veil makes my top 10!This was fun! This was my first run through, and I had to skip a few puzzles. I’m usually pretty good at them, but some were nice and tough. I like that. I will play again and try finish them all. I also love HOS, so you can never have too many of those, as far as I’m concerned. The graphics are very good where you can tell an egg-roll from a snail. The story and characters are very well done. Watch out on how addictive this is! I couldn’t put it down! I had a hard time catching all the puzzle pieces because some of the scenes were too dark. I’ve downloaded the guide, so hopefully I can work through what I missed on the first run through. I’m a tail end Baby Boomer and just love the G5 Big Fish mystery games. You can tell a lot of hard work and awesome talent went into this game. Keep them coming and thank you!.Version: 1.0.0

✓ Not my favorite MCF game, but worth a play!I’ve been a big fan of Big Fish’s Mystery Case Files games for years...Dire Grove, Ravenhearst, 13th Skull to name a few...and was excited to try this one. Great graphics and voice acting, but found myself skipping puzzles and using the Hint button because I was at a loss far too many times for my liking. Interesting concept for sure, but the ending was a bit abrupt and didn’t wrap up a the story as I would have hoped. Definitely worth a play, but not my favorite of the series. Also, not sure what happened to the back log of the other MCF games in this series?! Would love to go back and play Dire Grove but it’s no longer in the App Store??.Version: 1.0.0

✓ Excellent!FINALLY, Eipix gives us a great MCF game! I LOVE the super puzzles, and this one has 4! Just really well done game, unique puzzles and hops, spooky creepy story, great visuals. All the usual Eipix bells and whistles, but this time they went above and beyond in creating a unique, disturbing, and poetic storyline. ✓ MCF - Black Veil - So far its Awesome!Eipix did this round and so far it’s pretty spectacular. Custom difficulty, journal, map (one downside- hard to read map icons) morphing object in HOP with puzzle in puzzle sometimes, and collecting puzzle pieces in every scene. Indicator on inventory bar lets you know if one is available. A match3 option in hop would be amazing but no such luck. Storyline is kinda twisty so far which I adore! Graphics are crisp and characters well fleshed out. Verdict: Buy!.Version: 1.0.0
✓ The Mystery of the Aging AnomalyUpdated: I am deducting a star because the HOS scenes after the trial are mainly lists and the graphics are decreasing in quality. Based on free trial: Right from the start, I was ensnared by the beautiful and mysterious opening cutscene with a strange creature whose head is wrapped in bandages saving a war veteran. The graphics seem like they have improved, but some cleaning would be great to enhance the game. The puzzles and HOS are creative and challenging which is expected in this series. I LOVE find and use HOS, especially the one in this game. A couple of puzzles are incorporated into the HOS as well. The pace is a little bit faster in my opinion than other MCF games which I do enjoy. The plot will most likely unfold even more as I progress because I will purchase this game! My true rating is 4.5 due to graphics, but I am rounding it up to 5 stars!.Version: 1.0.0

✓ It’s okayHaven’t finished the game as yet. I find I can only play so much at a time as it is heavy going. The mini puzzles are not all that clear and sometimes don’t respond. I am using the iPad Pro and updated to iOS 11, luckily I still have an older iPad so my games still show. ✓ Huh?I have gone way out of my way to try to buy this game. It tells me that you can’t buy from within the game. It’s the first time I’ve gotten that message, but fine, I’ll try some other way. But no matter where I try to do it, it won’t let me. I liked the game as far as I could go and I expect that it would continue to be good. But I couldn’t say since I can’t go anywhere from here. ✓ The Black VeilI gave this game 5 stars due to its incredible detail and imagination. For my liking there were too many puzzles and many were too difficult. About a third less puzzles would have been about right. Despite that, I’m still giving the 5 stars as it’s so well done and for those who like hard puzzles, it’s perfect. ✓ Nice gameInteresting storyline, complimentary atmosphere, lovely graphics, smooth gameplay and a good map. Lots of varied puzzles of mixed difficulty and a few super puzzles (always a bonus). Not too many HOS and if you miss any collectibles you can replay scenes in the extras to find them. Only 4 stars as I did find the graphics a little too dark in places (especially in the HOS) and had to crank up the brightness on my iPad also the ending was very abrupt and didn't make any sense but otherwise an enjoyable game. Oh, and I did think that the references to "Dire Grove", Fate's "Carnival" & "Ravenhearst" at the end on the main game were a little thoughtless considering I, and many others, have paid for these games and they are no longer available on the App Store!😪.Version: 1.0.0

✓ Great Addition to the series, but not as good as some othersThis is my absolute favorite hidden object series. I actually like the adventure, story, and puzzles more than finding hidden objects. I love puzzles, and the puzzles in this series are the best. I am deducing a star because, even though I played (and always do) on the hardest level, I thought the puzzles were easier than usual and the game seemed shorter as well. I will continue to buy and play subsequent releases, but hopefully the puzzles will be more creative and challenging next time around. Also, I don’t understand why Big Fish is no longer selling the backlog of this series on the App Store. Sad only a handful of games are available. PS- I read a couple of other reviews, and they said there were too many puzzles and they were too hard. There are hundreds of HO games to choose from that are easier to play. ✓ IntenseThis is technically a brilliant game but it is so macabre and intense. Quite easy to play on the hard mode and full of variety and changing scenarios. The only reason I have given it 4 stars and not 5 is because the voice dialogue has little or no sound even when you pump it up and reduce the music and effects sounds to zero. ✓ Eipix brings another winner!Of all of The Big Fish Game creators that aren't given nearly enough credit, Eipix is number one! I honestly don't play anything but their series' anymore. They have stepped up the HOPA game to whole new level. I love the multi part puzzles, the mini games inside the HO areas and the artwork. Beautiful, beautiful artwork. I will probably never enjoy any of the voice over work but that's just my own personal bias. All in all, every Eipix release in 2017 has deserved a 5 star review. ✓ Addictive!Here’s what I like most about this game. You don’t need energy, or lives, or anything else to play. You can get the trail version for free, and if you like it, you can buy the full version for pocket change. No other in-app purchases. It follows a story from start to finish. You have to be pretty clever to solve some of the puzzles, but if you can’t figure them out, you can download the guide, for free, and it gives you the solutions. The only thing I don’t like about the guide is it keeps pestering you to turn on notifications, even after you click cancel. The only downside, is it does finish, and you have to make a new profile to play it again, but why would you? It was very satisfying for the price. I don’t want to play it again, unless I get bored and forget how it ends. It’s a very refreshing change from most of the games in the store..Version: 1.0.0

The world is immersive, although I don’t understand the backstory (which I guess references another game). My fault there but it is one of the delights of these games that they are so fascinating in their narrative.
