Toggl Track: Hours & Time Log for Positive User Reviews

Awesome!!!!No words.Version: 4.9.1

Game ChangerThis is a game changer for anyone wanting understand how they can be more productive and effective in the way in which they allocate their time in order to change their work/life habits..Version: 3.8

Very Handy!I haven’t been using Toggl for long, I am seeing the benefit though. It’s interesting to see how long certain things take and will eventually help me become more efficient..Version: 4.2.0

Pretty Good. Has lots of potentialI’m a professional driver and needed something to track jobs. This app seems to cover most of what I need with a bit of tuning. The timer is pretty good, probably it’s best feature and the accompanying website app is very good. Lots of ways to shape and display stats. I would like to see a way of disabling from view Pomodoro. It’s just not in my eco system and I don’t want to see it. Also job numbering assignment and subsequent reports and stats. If you have to maintain a volume of tasks with plenty of meta data, using projects and tags makes this easy, need to play with it a bit to find your happy path. Recommend..Version: 5.2.0

Simple & efficientI use Toggl Track for freelance & project work - it makes it easy to see where my time is spent & easy to invoice correctly. Simple to use & very effective..Version: 4.8.1

Product is AmazingIt is a fantastic tool although I only use it how I spend my personal time so probably not using more than 10% of its features. Extremely easy to use, no significant administrative overhead to operate, accurate stats even when flipping between tasks rapidly with great insights and dashboards..Version: 5.5.2

Very useful for small businessThere are a lot (heaps and heaps) of digital productivity tool out there. As a consultant who bills for time, this app has enough features to make it perfect for reporting on my work but simple enough for me not to get caught up in unnecessary features. I highly recommend Toggl and Ove been using it now for a few years in conjunction with my other digital business tools..Version: 2.19

Superb design!I’d love a theme, too! ;-) but an outstanding product all the same. Well designed. Thoughtful. It’s like you actually use the product yourself. Great job!.Version: 4.9.1

Good tracking appGood tracking options, I like being able to categorise by projects or with tags. Syncs with google chrome extension which is a great feature. Would benefit from some UX improvements for ease of use..Version: 4.10.0

Great app for my iPadI used the web interface for a long time before I discovered that there was an iPad app. Now that I'm trying to work primarily from my iPad Pro, it's even more useful. My only note is that reporting on the iPad app isn't detailed enough for some of my purposes, but I can always go back to the web UI for that occasional need..Version: 3.9.1

Love Toggl. Easy to use.I have tried numerous time trackers including ones built into CRM’s but I keep coming back to Toggl. The extension makes it super easy to use and much more efficient than switching between browser tabs. The free version allows all the features required for our business. Reports are easy to access. Projects are easy to create and use. I only recommend Toggl to my clients for time trackers..Version: 3.5

Amazing how much better this has becomeI mostly used Toggl on desktop and the iPhone app was a just in case. But the latest version of this actually makes it better to use my phone for it all. The live tracking on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island is absolutely brilliant. The pomodoro timer is really useful too. Wish their desktop app was anywhere near this good!.Version: 5.4.1

Easy to use, extremely usefulI’ve been using this app since last year and it has helped me be more efficient and productive..Version: 3.3

Great overall, inconsistent google cal syncingI have used Toggl on desktop and mobile for a few years and love it. I have never personally had syncing issues with my time entries, but the google calendar integration syncs inconsistently. On desktop it is accurate, on mobile it is showing an outdated version of my calendar. If I uninstall and reinstall the app, sometimes it will be a newer version of my google calendar, but it’s usually missing some events and still isn’t the most up to date. Would love for this to get fixed as having that juxtaposition of my google calendar and Toggl time entries on my phone would be a game changer for my workflow..Version: 3.11.0

A companion for my time tracking needsEvery feature you need to manage your business with precision and accuracy is right here. You will not be driving blindly after this and drastically cuttting down on your waste. A well productive day recorded is a source of great satisfaction and sign of your business.Version: 4.8.1

Très facile d’utilisationApplication très intuitive qui s’intègre avec plusieurs applications. La version gratuite offre beaucoup de fonctionnalité et on n’est pas ennuyé par des pubs. Bravo Toggl !.Version: 5.1.0

Really happy with the app👍🏻.Version: 4.10.0

IPad version! Now that this is available on my iPad (with Slide Over!) I’m truly happy. What a great time tracking app. It fits with the way I work and study, and doesn’t try to force me into something too strict. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!.Version: 1.21

Super appli pour personnes mal organisées (comme moi)Je suis très heureux que l’on m’est parlé de cette application. Une fois qu’on a figuré comment structurer les clients / projets / taches, cette application est un plaisir à utiliser!.Version: 5.0.3

Great time tracker, very user friendlyI use it every day, both actual tracking and manual setting as a record of time spent on certain things.Version: 5.5.0

Incredible! But keep it simple.I started using Toggl six months ago and it is such a fantastic addition to my life. I'm such a data-driven human, so seeing charts, graphs, and statistics on my everyday life is so powerful. I have improved my time management skills, motivation, and have been able to more accurately communicate how I spend my working hours. I use it both at the office and at home. I recommend to absolutely everyone who will listen. My only advice is to keep it simple. I began trying to write a little description for each project and session and I became frustrated and considered not using Toggl at all. But then I switched to limiting my projects to broad categories like "To-Do List", "Email", and "Exercise". Greatest decision ever. Since making that change, I have used it everyday as though it was second-nature..Version: 1.12.1

Perfect for tracking my work time. Helps me catch up on work and keeps me on trackGreat app for tracking work and time spent on each projects. Allows me to have the flexibility to work some additional hours on some days and take it easy on some other days - but thanks to Toggl I can always make sure I put in the required hours. Also helps me keep an eye on if I am overworking. Great tool to help keep focussed hours so that you can get in chunk of work ours in..Version: 5.2.0

Great app, almost completely reliableI have used Toggl daily for close to ten years and have relied on it to keep me in touch with my work patterns and what I need to do next. Even when there are minor glitches the customer service is excellent..Version: 3.9.3

The best time tracker goingThis is the best time tracker going. I love it and I use it all the time. It works, across platforms, the design is great and it does everything I want it to..Version: 5.1.0

Very handySeems very simple to use- I am new to it and am still figuring out how my time tracking data is organized, but I’m loving how simple it is to start/stop the timer for different projects and tasks..Version: 4.8.1

Study Holy Grail (small suggestion)I’m a high school student and I started using Toggl after my previous time tracking app “updated” to be more inefficient. I haven’t regretted the decision. Toggl allows you to track+record time for literally any activities and also lets you edit your logs- very useful since I sometimes complete work without my device and many other apps don’t let you add logs without running the whole timer. Also has a clean and minimalistic layout with all the functions needed without flashy distractors. I’m using the free version right now, but I’ll definitely get the premium version after I leave school to support such an amazing product. I would love it if Toggl could provide the option of a timer (like pomodoros) but it’s not a major issue since the current layout motivates me to concentrate on progress rather than purely time. Love the new updates btw! Syncing time has shortened dramatically :)).Version: 2.8

Finally! A simple and easy solution with an iOS widget!I feel like I’ve tried every other time tracking option out there. The single greatest feature of this app is that I can use the iOS widget to start tracking time with a single click and no other information! I can go back at any point during or after the work to add details like project or adjust my starting time if I forgot to start the timer until partway through a project. Other features I’ve enjoyed so far include a calendar sync so you can see your time tracked in the app overlaid on your calendar/schedule to make sure you didn’t miss recording any appointments, and the weekly summary which makes billing or time clock input a breeze..Version: 4.9.3

Easy, versatile @ powerfulLove it - just easy to use.Version: 1.13.1

Refined! The logo and pink icon/theme made me hesitant to try this as it reminds me of poorly built government apps, but this app is actually built very well!!! The colour scheme is growing on me but the logo still looks too generic. The app is faster and easier to input data and sync your calendar then other apps I tried. I downloaded this in order to track my daily personal and professional activities in my calendar, and to find out were my time goes each day and week. I like how I can easily add new event to the calendar by pressing and holding, and dragging the event time lengths. I also really like how it displays my Apple calendar events on the right, and my activities made in this app on the left. because of this nice layout, i have started to play around with trying to match my real activities tracked in this app with my phone calendar’s planned activities. Hopefully this trains myself to be more disciplined. If I could request any features it would be for Home Screen gadgets like Atracker that shows you your time goal progress for a specific category. Also the ability to use emoticons for category icons that show up on the Home Screen widgets would be cool. Thanks!.Version: 4.2.0

Amazing!I use it to track my Upwork time on my iPad. It’s great because it has the actual time and I can have projects for each of my clients, I can edit and add a hashtag #added after I actually add the time into Upwork so there’s never any confusion on what needs added and I use the notes to add to my memo so I never forget what I was working on! I added the widget to my iPad on the Home Screen in landscape mode and in portrait mode I just added a shortcut so I could easily open it and start adding time. I also love that I can use it on my phone too and it syncs perfectly so even if I need to reply to an email or check something while on the go I’m not loosing out on time tracked. I also love that while a timer is running it shows up on the notification or Home Screen so I never forget to stop it!.Version: 5.5.2

Best time management appDiscovered the website version earlier this year. Really changed how I view my use of time. Now I use it to track every single minute of my time to the point that it has become a habit..Version: 3.11.0

Lover this appHas made time tracking just that little bit easier. I've been using it for months and I've had no problems. So easy to use and has a home screen tracker that I can see all the time. I used to leave it running for days, on my computer and that's not an issue any more. Recommend 100%.Version: 4.7.0

Awesome! It makes me save a lot of Time! I really appreciate the rounding ferrure..Version: 5.0.1

Simple to use, flexible trackerEasy to use time tracker - lets you tag by project and edit start and end times as you need. The suggested activities feature saves typing and time too. Links to a clear website with good reporting and time editing features..Version: 3.11.0

Works great. Here’s an idea:Could toggle support two separate accounts? I would love to track work and my personal projects separately. Great job otherwise!.Version: 5.2.0

Can’t live without Toggl!Toggl has been my go-to time tracking program pretty much since starting my business in 2012…luckily I found it before wasting too much time using inferior time tracking resources. The app is a convenient, on-the-go alternative to the web-based and desktop versions. I can’t get through my workday without Toggl! The app is also super helpful when I forget to clock out of a job when I leave the house in a rush or when a work meeting pops up unexpectedly. Everyone has their phone handy all the time nowadays - the Toggl app ensures you’ll be able to track your time wherever you are. tldr: just try it and see for yourself - you won’t be disappointed.Version: 4.0.2

Really beautiful and easy to useToggl is a great app for any time tracking endeavours, whether it is recording hours for client work, logging your study hours or even trying to see what you do through the day. Toggl has a beautiful interface and makes time recording easy and even enjoyable..Version: 2.2.1

Excellent time tracking appI’ve been using Toggl for the last few years as a freelance consultant. I couldn’t live without it. It’s so easy to start and stop my timers on both mobile and desktop. The UI is really clean and the free version has the majority of the functionality I need. The paid version had a few nice things like rounding up too..Version: 4.1.0

Toggl - great time tracking appI’ve tried a few time tracking apps until I came across toggl, which delivered everything I was looking for: simple, easy to use, intuitive, editable entries, flexible stats generated instantly, free. I’m using it to track my own working hours only, i.e. not commercially or to manage several other people. Have used it daily for about 2 months now, and haven’t come across a single reason why I would change to another app. Well done, toggl team!.Version: 2.17.1

Track my billable time to the minuteWhen beginning my first gig as a consultant I found tracking time between projects was difficult. Moving between tasks and projects made accounting for the time … time consuming. I found Toggl Track a couple years ago and have used it and even recommended to colleagues. I export time weekly into a csv, import to Excel where I have formulas and pivots that allow me to quickly enter time into my company’s ERM. Takes me less than 5 minutes to do my time sheet. The most difficult part was forming the habit to switch the task/project when changing directions throughout the day..Version: 4.8.0

Most thoughtfully designed time tracker I’ve usedToggl’s biggest strength over other time trackers is the low overhead involved in starting, stopping, and editing tasks. The interface is quick and responsive and rarely leads me to make mistakes. It’s a slick, judgment-free, neutral experience that’s forgotten as quickly as it’s over. Low overhead is important to being able to make it a habit, and making Toggl a habit has changed my life! Being able to see where my time goes helps me be more productive and prioritize tasks better. As someone who’s easily distracted, setting a timer for myself helps keep me on task. I even use it on the weekends, just to see how much time goes to watching TV vs being outdoors or other enriching activities. If you’ve ever wanted to track and reclaim your idle time, at work or otherwise, Toggl is perfect for you..Version: 2.4

Time keeping is a doddle with togglAwesome application. Can't say enough. Revolutionised my poor time keeping habits..Version: 1.20

Love it! But…I really love this. I use it as my time tracker for all of my client’s hourly projects. I even use a filtered view and export the “reports” feature every month to accompany my invoices for added transparency to my clients. I really feel like that helps build rapport on a monthly basis with minimal effort (which is important since I’m an independent contractor and don’t have anyone in payroll). The one thing I was hoping would be a little more useful is the “insights” feature. I upgraded to use this feature and was hoping for more of a growth projections type tool but it seems to be a little thin especially if you have no employees. I still see it’s value for someone that has employees or additional contractors on an project but it’s unfortunately not very useful otherwise. if there was a way to input expenses or integrate with quick books for actual profitability and growth trends then that would be super useful..Version: 3.11.0

Best app ✨Best app as a graphic designer this is a life saver.Version: 4.10.0

Toggle TrackerLove love love this. Shows how much exactly you spend in your tasks-to-do; that some tasks take so much hours to get ready and start, but just minutes to complete Oh, and if your project doesn’t bloom, it’s may be because you spent so little time on that very project Oh, and it is FREE and no advertising 💚💚😻.Version: 3.11.0

ExcellentJust what I meeded.Version: 4.8.1

The best tracking app I have used! This is such an easy to use tracking app, specifically because you can start to track without the need to add any information. You can easily add this later at any time. If you have set up a client it will be easy to add this client (or project) to your tracked time. The feature to mark a task as billable or not is also very sweet! The only thing I am missing is the ability to pause a task. But the availability solution to press play on a previously recorded tracker to start a new tracker with the same details is a neat alternative. I think this app totally takes the stress out of tracking and is in its free version better than most corporate solutions I have used! All thumbs up and I would definitely recommend this app. Especially if you have ADHD and need to learn to manage your time better!.Version: 4.10.0

Easy and EffectiveI’ve become much better at managing my time since I started using Toggl about a year ago. The monthly reports let me pick up on trends in my productivity too. Great app!.Version: 3.1

Pretty good time keeping appI’ve used Toggl for a long time to keep track of my video production work. I used to be a bartender and was used to clocking in and out at the beginning and end of my shift. I have never been good at keeping track of my own time outside of work either. I decided to give toggl a try after a colleague of mine recommended it. At first, it was annoying because the mobile app had a hard time syncing with the desktop version, but that seems to have been fixed. The mobile app runs well now and is easily organizable. It helps me during invoicing and helps reflect my strengths and weaknesses when I view the toggl reports..Version: 4.2.0

Intuitive and helpfulI am really enjoying using the app Toggl. I will often look at an app and try it out for a week before I decide if I like it or not, based on my specific needs. I do not have to create a billable hours list, however I do like to track how much time I’m spending on different parts of my Job responsibilities. If my responsibilities start to get out of whack, I won’t up having very little free time! Toggl has been so helpful for this purpose. It has a very simple interface, works across multiple digital tools, and does just what I need without a bunch of fanfare. I recommend everyone try out their app to see if it fits their bill as well. Well worth the small learning curve..Version: 4.0.2

Great multi platform app to track timeWorks really well. Wish my employer would use it !!.Version: 4.8.1

FantasticI don’t think I’ve ever written a review before, but this app is amazing. I’m a game developer and I wanted to track my hours. Simple. This app does it beautifully, as well as providing an insight on monthly weekly Daqing hours etc. Great app, visually beautiful. My only critique would be to have the option to change the calendar format to something more visual, but that’s just personal preference and me being picky. Great app.Version: 2.7

A New Revelation in Time Tracking!I was looking for alternative time tracking apps over the years, but was never able to settle on one; that is, until I came across this app. The very fact that this app allows for tracking time on all the Apple platforms (Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad and Mac) seamlessly is a big plus. The syncing between all of them has been spot-on thus far, and the simplicity of starting and ending a timer is also good. And, with the three different "layers" of classifying tasks (in terms of Task Description, Project, and Client) is causing me to think even more purposefully about what I'm doing. Lastly, with the ability to really look into the data that is being accrued (even via the fourth layer of detail, which is tags), that definitely is a plus as well. The only things I would suggest to the makers of this app is that 1) the web features need to be integrated into the actual Mac app directly (instead of having to access the web portal via a link in the Mac app); as a result, all of the data accrued can really be managed and analyzed by the end user even more effectively. Also, 2) the data analysis also needs to be more fully integrated into the iPad and iPhone apps. Other than that, I must say that this is truly a great app that the makers of Toggl have created. I look forward to using this app for the foreseeable future..Version: 5.1.0

So easy to use!I’ve been hunting for a time tracking app for ages but I never remembered to set or change the timers. Ever. This app comes with a web version, phone app and desktop app so I can hit start and stop anywhere I like and the desktop version will even auto track for you if you use certain apps for tasks. Oh and it has reminders to you know remind you to actually use it. Breakthrough lol.Version: 1.9

Love the app. Needs a restructureI love Toggl, and will keep using it because it has everything I need. I write this review as a suggestion to the developers. I truly think the app needs a complete overhaul. They need to make it easier, its a bit finicky. Its easy to accidentally do many things you dont intend to do, and then not notice. Using the Timery app as an example, that app runs way better than the Toggl app. Toggl on browser runs way better than the Toggle app too. The app needs some quality of life updates, mirror the website if need be. Make a menu to create, edit, add, remove projects and tags like on the website. Make it easier to notice when you accidentally start/end a timer. Make it easier to adjust how much time you've been working on a timer, if you forgot to start it. As I said, Toggl is great, I just wish that they would make the app a bit better. I see myself using toggl on browser way more now that I found out about it, ive always used the app before this..Version: 2.15

Life changing for my small creative businessLoving this app. The days of using laps on my timer to time tasks, manually transcribing in a notebook at the end of the day (and inevitably having to somehow remember what-was-what) are behind me and I couldn’t be happier. Great UX and functionality..Version: 4.7.0

Does the jobI have multiple contracts that all demand time. This really helps inform how much time i spend on certain contracts and helps manage expectation. Simple to use. At first had to remind my self to start the timer but as you use it, it becomes a habit. 5 stars for me..Version: 2.2.1

Perfect for my needsThis app has been a game changer. If you’re ever swapping from one project to another (or one job to another) and need to keep track of hours, or even if you just want to know how much time you’re really spending on that hobby, then this is for you. You can start and stop sessions with the press of a button, and it’s easy to edit afterwards too (eg when the phone rings, causing you to change projects for the duration of the call). The free version is all you need for personal tracking and the daily and weekly reports make it all so easy. You can even get a report for a custom time period! Syncs quickly and automatically making it seamlessly available across all your devices..Version: 4.10.0

Fantastic Time TrackerThis is hands down the best time tracker I have ever used and I love how I can start a timer on the web and stop it later on my watch or phone. Using it is so easy, I just type what I am doing or select an existing entry and press start and when I’m done just press stop. Entries can be tagged and assigned to a project and can be edited later if, for example, you forget to stop a timer before signing out for the day..Version: 4.8.1

Easy and smartGreat app. I’m an artist and this is great for tracking how much time I spend working on different projects. It’s super easy to use and adjust all the entries if you forget to start or stop a timer, which I do all the time. Nice looking and useful graphs to break down how much time spent on each task from week to week. I do wish it had was an easy way to see total amount of time spent on a task over all time, or at least yearly, as you can on the desktop version. Also in the app you only have quick access to the top three most used tasks, having all immediate accessible would be nice. My favorite little thing is that I work nights and it learned that automatically and doesn’t split it in to two different days at midnight. Would definitely recommend..Version: 2.15.1

I use this app all the timeSuper useful to keep track of my time on different client projects. It is really easy to step and start as I move through different tasks. The reports in the online app are a great way for me to collate the totals of my time.Version: 4.10.0

Great app for work or your own productivityThis service is fantastic. Makes it really easy to see how you’re spending time, either in your own life or just professional one. Charts are useful, and helps you gain insight quickly. I will comment though I set a project colour in light mode, then when it switched to dark mode I could no longer see it (I picked black), and there’s no clear way to change the colour assigned (so I’ll have to go to desktop to fix!) other than this it’s a fabulous app.Version: 2.8

Terrific Time TrackingI HIGHLY recommend Toggl. And as much as CGPGrey and Myke rip on this app, I find it to work perfectly for what I need out of it. I’ve used it mainly for tracking writing time and how much time I’m spending on each of my college classes. This is useful because it can help me plan how much time I need to allocate for these activities, as well as sometimes surprising me with how much or how little time it took to do one activity. One thing I think would make a neat addition, if it’s possible, would be health app integration. That way, workouts could be automatically added- since you’re theoretically already tracking them with your Watch or an app..Version: 3.1

Fantastic appToggl is super easy to use and generates useful reports on the weekend. Very grateful for this simple little app..Version: 2.8

Best all-round time tracking tool availableToggl has been my time tracking tool of choice for a while now after I spent a long time comparing the available options. The mobile app’s usability and performance has been a low-point until this recent update, which has made a big improvement. There is still work to do on improving the timeline editor usability on desktop and mobile, but I’m very pleased overall..Version: 4.8.0

Brain saverThis app has saved me untold missed income I otherwise would have not billed. No more having to remember what hours I did 2 weeks ago. Easy to use and even easier to track the hours I do on multiple jobs every day. 👍👍👍👍👍.Version: 3.11.0

Simple but effectiveFor my purpose of quick and simple logging of time against activities I have found Toggle - via Chrome extension and the app - to be very convenient and effective. They are also responsive..Version: 1.20.1

Best time tracker by farI have tried various trackers, but all have gaps and challenges that result in them being dropped. toggl Track is intuitive and prompts you to switch on when it sees you’re doing something but haven’t recorded it. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and it’s invaluable. Strongly recommend.Version: 2.21.2

Works perfectlyUse for any task, even monitor your habits to see how long it takes to do a certain daily task. Very easy to use.Version: 4.8.1

I love it for my small business! This works extremely well for logging hours for my small business. I use the free version both for tracking my own hours and for a few employees to clock in and out. When it comes time to invoice clients it’s a cinch run a report and have all the hours I need to bill for. I use the tag feature to record which hours have already been invoiced. One small change that would make this app even more fantastic is if there were an option when running reports to select all entries that do not have a particular tag. (i.e. not tagged “invoiced”). Overall a superb app, I love that I can track my hours on the go using my phone and my employees can do the same. If I forget to start or stop a timer I can always edit the entries at the end of the day. This app has saved tons of time and ensured that I’m billing accurately. I love it!.Version: 4.0.0

Don’t wait another minute to download! My only regret is not downloading this app sooner. I love the flexibility of being able to use Toggl on both my desktop and my phone. Toggl makes tracking my consultant work super simple and efficient! If I forget to start the timer I can easily create an entry with a previous time/date. And best of all, the basic version is FREE! Thanks Toggl! (Note: I primarily use the web version on my desktop. I can’t speak entirely of the functionality of the app but so far the iOS version has synced without a hitch to the web version and the UI seems simple enough to navigate. Since I just joined Toggl, I can’t compare the app to previous versions but it works well for me.😊).Version: 1.12

Great cross-device integration, dependableI’ve been using the free level for several years to assist with timekeeping for my solo law practice. I’ve never had a problem with reliability or stability (data loss or system outage). It syncs across my devices with little to no lag and the web summaries are great for pulling the data together. My only compliant is that the monthly summaries can’t be sorted by client and then tag, so I have to keep using typed descriptions for my time entries in order to get convenient, cumulative totals of each time category per client at the end of the month. Still, the descriptions autocomplete based on earlier entries so it isn’t that onerous. It also seems like there might be a solution to this in the monthly subscription service; the inconvenience just hasn’t warranted that level of expense for me..Version: 1.9

Super usefulThe app is essential for those who need time tracking, and recent updates have made it even fancier. Love the live activities! My one wish is that starting entries from Shortcuts would also start the live activity..Version: 5.1.0

Great app! BUTI love this app for tracking how much studying I’m doing, but I’d love to be able to break my summary down into individual tasks and not just see the whole task. I’m studying a language so I have 2 main tasks, studying grammar and studying vocabulary, so I’d love to be able to break down the summary into how much time was spent on each. Other than that I love it!.Version: 2.3

Great appI’ve been using this app for years and it’s really great. Great company and communications, too..Version: 5.1.0

Love the appLets me keep track of my work and the best part is that it’s available on mobile, tablet, desktop app, and browser, plus there are widgets available. Very easy to switch from one device to another as I’m working on multiple devices..Version: 5.1.0

Good trackerPretty straightforward and convenient, also has some pretty nice weekly email reports.Version: 5.1.0

Consistent and reliableToggl is great, whether it’s in the browser or in the app. It’s very easy to start and classify a timer (in either order) and you can start the timer in one context (ie. the browser) and stop it in another (ie. your phone). I’ve also never had it glitch or crash in years of use..Version: 3.7

Great Time TrackingI love this app for time tracking. It is easy to keep track of work on different projects and allows me to produce reports so that I know where my time has gone..Version: 4.8.1

Simply worksI really like toggle. Lets me work on all devices mostly for free.Version: 5.4.1

Improving againAnd we are back to regular crashing again - so frustrating! The app takes steps forward and then the developers take their eye off the ball and the crashes return. I use it constantly for my working day, across several devices - the sync works well, apart from frequent crashes. Previous review: And we’re up to five stars at last! After some serious issues over the last few months I can happily report that the app is stable, works well, and has a good interface. It is flexible for editing timers, as well as simply to start recently used timers. Coupled with the online interface and desktop apps, this is brilliant!.Version: 3.1

Your most valuable resourceI tried every free time tracker app before starting my new job. This was the best one. easiest to use. Best reports. Most customizable. That was over 3 years ago. I still use it every day and so do my direct reports. It is so helpful to be able to see at a glance how we are investing our most valuable professional resource...our time. Also helps me with work-life balance. In my field, the work is never "done." I used to just stay at the office until I was too tired to do any more. Now, once I've spent my number of budgeted work hours for the day, I go home. This has paid huge dividends with my most valuable personal resource...my family..Version: 5.4.1

Super easyGrateful for how easy it is to track my time with Toggl. I get a clear picture of where my time is spent each day and haven’t had to invest lots of time learning the app to make it happen..Version: 4.8.1

Enjoyable time tracking?Toggl is the only time tracker I actually enjoy using..Version: 2.16

Changed my life.Thank you.Version: 5.1.0

Very easy to usePretty good feature set and very easy to use..Version: 2.15.1

I always come back to this oneI think I've tried every time tracker out there to track my project hours for work and freelancing gigs. Most other trackers can get really complicated with billing and requiring projects, but Toggl is only as complex as you need it. It's especially great for those impromptu meetings--no need to assign a project and client before it lets you track your time. I invariably end up with a few line items with a description and no project, but it's super easy to go back and edit those later. If you forget to track something, it's very convenient to add it in later to get a picture of the day and see if there are time gaps that need a time entry. I like the web interface but I really love the simplicity and visual design of the mobile app. I can quickly edit the time entries I messed up or forgot while I'm commuting, or stop a timer I accidentally left running all weekend. I can easily enter my hours for work either for the day or week, or if I've tagged items with process tags, I can easily see how long tasks take and better scope future projects..Version: 1.17

👍🏽 Pretty goodI started on the trial to track hours for different accounts I have. Now, I also use it for everyday things like workouts and errands. It helps me with improving my time management. I'm on the free version, and that works for me. What I would Improve: I wish I could delete “what am I working on” entries because it looks messy with entries during the learning curve I had. 🙊.Version: 5.5.2

The best time tracking software!Toggl has revolutionised my thinking about time tracking. Currently I manage my team, my time and my business efficiency through toggl and the best part is that’s actually free for small business (up to 5 employees). Highly reccomend to anyone that want to improve their productivity and be on top of what’s happening in their business..Version: 1.8.2

Great flexibility and ease of useThis app has great flexibility. I use it to track my time for my own use. I’m able to track against projects and use the tag feature to identify the type of work I’m doing. This enables me to evaluate how much of my time I spend in meetings, administratively, and on real work. The only recommendation I would provide is that it would be nice to have a separate discretionary notes section for keeping track of notes related to the work performed. If I was truly billing out time I would want to toggle on and off this notes section at my discretion. But likely it would be kept for internal purposes. The application is easy to learn and master. I have used this with my teams for time tracking on shared projects and it works great..Version: 3.2

Freelancers dream !The essential tool for freelancers! Keep track of your time spent on clients work, download time reports and see where all your time is really going! Toggl helps me to stay focused, productive and organised. Excellent, simple to use app that I now can’t live without.Version: 4.0.2

Best Time Tracking AppRecommended to me by a tech guy and I’ve never looked back. I’m a freelancer and tracking my hours effectively and with flexibility (different clients, projects, billable and non-billable hours) and I’m sure the team features work just as seamlessly. I started with a free account but chose to upgrade to a basic plan and it meets all my needs..Version: 2.8

Love TogglReally good tool for effectively managing and understanding your time management. If you’re trying to work out where your time goes, or are looking to manage your time better, such as outsourcing tasks that you spend a lot of time on, what a great tool. Also good for billing if you charge based on time spent on tasks..Version: 2.11

Better than DeltekI’ve struggled with keeping a timesheet for years, largely because of the user interface (or lack thereof) from giants like Deltek and Ajera. The simple play/stop button on Toggl is exactly what I’ve been searching for, and the graphic UI is delightful to deal with daily. The program is installed on all my devices and is very fast to synchronize, Toggl’s reminders that I have been idle on the running time-clock are always timely (yes I DID forget to change my task), and the reporting is almost exactly how I need the data to transcribe into Ajera. So far I am only using the free version, but features like time rounding are catching my interest for a paid subscription. If only there was a way to import into our company’s system- then Toggle would be priceless!.Version: 1.20

Very good so far - simple but effectiveI’ve used Toggl for a month so far and find it simple to understand, makes me more effective at work and achieve more, and will help me bill for my work. I think that latter bit - billing and downloadable reports of your records - are a premium feature. The way I’m going so far with the free version, I’m going to be happy to pay. Great app..Version: 1.21.1

Great app, cross-platform, really easy to useYou can find anything you need for productive work. The analytics is great. You can use it from different devices and you can customize your projects and tasks quite well as well..Version: 5.0.3

Toggle app is the bestI'm a student currently doing A levels i felt like i was studying all day but saw no improvement after getting this study tracker i found that i was sitting at my desk getting distracted and not studying for most of the time barely getting 4 hours of work in now i am able to track my time and know exactly how many hours i've done daily without distraction.Version: 4.6.0

Watch app is awesomeI hardly ever write reviews for apps but the new watch app for toggl made me do it! I’ve been using toggl for a while but was so frustrated that a timer app didn’t work on Apple Watch— but now there is one and it does everything I want it to!.Version: 3.7

The best in classThis tool is amazing for tracking time for freelance professionals. I love the accessibility of it on all my devices and browsers. I love the integrated prompts especially when it detects idle time or starting work without starting the timer. The reports are great and I use them as basis to bill my clients. Overall an indispensable tool that I highly recommend..Version: 1.12.1

Great for tracking my artI’ve used this for a year or so, I draw pet portraits. This is great way to track how long each one takes. Can’t recommend enough. Great for tracking crochet or knitting projects too, or anything you need to track. You can edit, change time, if you forget to turn it off, editing projects, easy on the website too..Version: 4.7.0

Can’t believe this is free!I’ve loved using Togg since day one and can’t imagine using any other time tracker app anytime soon..Version: 5.4.0

Great to keep track of "where does my time go"I crochet, and had no idea how much time was going into projects. I know use toggl to track how long each project takes. Useful if I needed to estimate how long a similar project would take. I can be on any device and it updates in real time. I can start on my iPad, and stop it on my iPhone. I like that I get an email if a timer has been going for hours (oops!). Love it!.Version: 2.17.2

Great app but Apple watch app is laggy and buggy.I am loving this app. However when I click on the complication on my watch to start or stop the timer it sometimes says syncing and takes a long time to switch off/on. Sometimes I think it has switched off but timer is still running. My iPhone is next to me..Version: 4.5.0

Fantastic tool for tracking professional servicesI’ve trialled Toggl to be able to track my billable minutes for reporting purposes. I was using a spreadsheet. Enough said right? It’s sleek, easy to figure out and syncs easily with my exisiting tech. Saves me about 30 minutes a week.Version: 3.4

User friendlyI set this up in an hour today for my service based business. Fantastic help via chat box and user friendly interface. I set up all my clients & projects with ease and I love the time tracker & reporting features. Thank you 😊.Version: 2.5

FlowmadoroI use this primarily to replace the pomodoro technique, where your focus flow is limited by a countdown timer. Evidence based study demonstrate a better learning/productivity style to be following an individual’s natural focus rhythms throughout the day. This app is great because it allows a running stopwatch to record how long I have been working, and then I can then use the pomodoro timer to set how long I want to actively rest based on the length of my focused work, which is between 20-25%. The app then compiles the total time I have been productive/rest/any other activity I want to record into a pie chart. I can then view them from a daily weekly or monthly manner. Simple but very effective, this app have everything I need without all the fluffs. Definitely recommend!!.Version: 4.8.1

Love the design but wish more functionality was available in the Apple Watch appIn my opinion, Toggl is one of the most beautiful unique looking apps. The entire aesthetic is consistent and very distinguishable but at the same time fits well enough with the current iOS design language that it doesn’t look off. Incredible job keeping that balance! The only thing I wish were different is the Watch app: a lot of the time as a person with ADHD I try to put my phone away while doing tasks and use solely my watch. And unfortunately Toggl’s app there is not stable enough (I regularly see the screen that asks me to sign in on my phone again even though I never logged out) and doesn’t have some of the features such as the ability to set pomodoro sessions. I hope you’ll be able to enhance the watch experience in the future updates! Thanks for everything folks!.Version: 5.5.2

Time Tracking at its absolute bestToggl is not only the best free time tracking app, it is the best time tracking app. I’ve been obsessed with time management from most of my life, and have used day planners, calendars, E calendars, worksheets, Excel, etc. recently I’ve tried the majority of the major time tracking application that are available and Toggl is by far the absolute best in class. Incredibly simple, intuitive, fast and amazingly effective. This is not a replacement for my calendar, this is an important and highly effective tool for finding out where life‘s minutes hours and days actually go. The reports are extraordinarily valuable as are the projects and hashtags. More than a time tracking app, this is a life management device on so many levels. Thank you for creating such a beautifully designed, sophisticated interface that in its simplicity has added value to my life!.Version: 4.0.2

Awesome productivity appThis is an awesome productivity app.Version: 5.4.1

Pretty greatUsed this for about a week for personal time tracking (not business related like it seems aimed at). Works perfectly. Can switch between phone and pc whenever I want. Helped me organise my time better by showing me how much time I actually spend on various things..Version: 4.1.0

Can’t log in!!!! Please fixAfter the new update to Toggl Track, it doesn’t let me log in on the app anymore. It asks me to update the app to continue and takes me to the App Store, but the app is already on the newest version. Pls fix this ASAP!!.Version: 3.9.1

I love toggl!!!I was recommended toggl when i started working as a graphic design contractor and needed to track my hours and keep an organized log of all my projects. toggl does that perfectly for me. it works across multiple devices really well, i use it on my iphone, macbook, and ipad, and the mobile app is great for figuring out how much i need to be paid. it has a calendar feature where you can mark which days you’d like to see hours for, i usually do the current pay period so i can report my hours to my boss and it’s super convenient to do it from my cell phone. you can also filter by project which i love. if my boss asks me how much i’ve worked on a single project, i can easily check using the helpful filters :) if you’re a freelancer, contractor, or anyone who juggles multiple projects at a time, GET TOGGL. i have nothing bad to say about it after using it for about a year. it is genuinely one of the best apps i use for work. thank you toggl for existing, i love you ❤️.Version: 4.3.0

Great tracking app so far!Great tracking app so far!.Version: 4.10.0

Easy to use & Loads of functionalityVery slick app and very full functioned for a time tracker, especially considering all the features I need are free!.Version: 5.5.2

Best tracking appLove it since installed, best one..Version: 5.5.2

Keep it simpleIm using it. All day everyday for the past 6 weeks. I didnt think It would stick. With it Ive been able to track how much time Ive been studying on each of my 5 units for university, exercise, sleep and “the blackhole of nothingness”. Really useful..Version: 3.2

Works great on phone AND on watchUPDATE, they just released a new Watch update and it works smoothly now, would recommend. The app itself is fairly user friendly and straightforward. The Apple Watch app doesn’t work tho.Version: 5.4.1

BEST APP TO TRACK YOUR DAILY ACTIVITYI use it daily to track my day.Version: 4.9.2

Time-saving and convenientIt’s helpful to the ones who have different projects and contracts. Also, it triggers your undivided attention when you select what you start working on..Version: 4.9.3

My go to app for tracking working hoursAll the hour tracking and reporting functionality I need.Version: 3.11.0

Everything is so easyLove my toggl app - makes keeping track so easy. And fun!.Version: 4.9.3

I love this appThe free version is sufficient for personal time management and the pro version is awesome. The interface is clean and user-friendly. Thank you guys at Toggl.Version: 5.5.2

Extremely useful for academicsI use Toggl Track to categorize how I spend all of my work time. It’s helpful for me as an academic because I can look at my reports to see whether my weekly time is appropriately distributed between research, teaching, and service. I can also see, over the long term, how much time I’ve spent on each writing project (which really helps with planning around deadlines), how much time it takes me to prep for one class in one semester, how much time I’ve spent on a particular service activity, and so much more. I would recommend it to every academic, and especially to early-career faculty..Version: 5.4.1

AwesomeI’ve used Toggl at times to see how efficient I’ve been at tasks versus my estimated time. Easy to use in my browser and phone, with quick and easy reporting..Version: 3.11.0

ADHD SaviorI really struggle with being unable to break hyperfocus to the detriment of my health and wellbeing (I forget to eat), and I also struggle with time management. I work FT and study FT, so this is going to help me so much in the weeks to come as I build better habits to navigate a lot on my plate. I’ve quickly been able to jump in and the platform was very intuitive. I love that this will be able to replace the manual time logging that I was doing before, and I can use this at work/school/and home. That may not have been the original intention, but it’s a fantastic timesaver itself. I’m also excited to see it is able to integrate with platforms that I use at work as well. I just started using this a few hours ago and have learned as I go, but I have a few pieces of critical feedback that would help neurodivergent folks even more: -On-Device Mac Widgets for Pomodoro and Track -Cross-Device Pomodoro sync -Apple Watch Pomodoro I intend to use this to track everything from chores, assignments, and work tasks in one project to better assist me in reclaiming time and establishing a true baseline for time per task so I can implement time blocking properly. This would help me ensure that I am successful at that no matter which device I have on-hand. Thank you for creating something I didn’t know existed or that I needed desperately!.Version: 5.4.0

Amazing study appI tried a couple different apps after my study app had an annoying update but now I’m really glad I found Toggl! It’s very easy to use and the stats are simple yet useful. I’ve had slight issues when using the desktop app but the support team has always responded promptly, thank you. Great mobile app to hold yourself accountable to your study schedule and I hope to support Toggl after I graduate and earn an income..Version: 2.18

Highly RecommendThis app helps keep me on track. I’m often spinning plates between roles and projects but Toggl Track is fun to use, with great interactive ways to manage your time and keep control of your time. I particularly like the fact you can label and tag activities so you can monitor how long you’ve spent on each. PRO TIP from me: make a hashtag label for 5m screen breaks and add a label then under the overarching activity / project you’re working on. That way, you get a true-sense of how long you’ve been doing something, whilst recognising your eyes need a rest. Breaks are needed for cognitive processing - just make a conscious choice on which breaks are factored in as the work and which are just distractions! 😃.Version: 4.8.1

Toggi TrackFantastic,very useful.Version: 5.5.2

GreatGreat but old time tracking calendar view was better. It was better to get a breakdown of what time was spent within apps and on which files or browser tabs..Version: 4.9.3

Awesome time keeping app/serviceI’ve been using toggle for years now and I love it for tracking time spent at work and even for personal projects. It is by far the best time keeping tool I’ve tried..Version: 2.21.2

Love itThis is a great app. Almost too good to be free. Sort of waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak. But it seems like the basic features remain free. We’ll see but in the mean time I highly recommend..Version: 5.4.1

Incredibly goodOffers perfect functionality for tracking time spent on lots of different projects with various clients. Syncing across devices and apps is flawless, editing entries is flawless. The UI is totally intuitive and things work just as you’d expect it to..Version: 3.9.3

Ridiculously usefulOnce you get the hang of remembering to press start / stop (& it is literally THAT easy to use) it becomes indispensable — certainly has to me. If you track how much time you waste versus how much time genuinely important stuff takes to get done... Well... It’s an actual game-changer!.Version: 3.1

Find more time for fun stuffIf you’re ready to stop wasting time and start being more efficient with your time use this app! I started using Toggl 10 years ago when I worked in a fast-paced corporate company. After using it for a week (tracking time spent on tasks and projects) I realized I was wasting 2 hours a week walking around talking to people. Two hours I could have been home. Recently, I’ve been running a business and I’ve found gaps in my “productive hours” where I wasn’t really doing anything. Since using Toggl I’ve seen a transformation in the intentionality of my time and the profits from my “productive time.”.Version: 5.1.0

SO helpfulThis app is SO helpful and the main time (non-pomodoro) timing arrangement is really easy to use, it’s really illuminated my creative work practices. I still need to get to grips with the pomodoro aspect though (I’ve used the pomodoro technique for a while just with my own timer (before I got Toggl) but I don’t yet get how it works within this app- it’s a bit confusing to me. But overall I love this app and I’m going to use it all the time now..Version: 4.8.1

So incredibly helpfulI was someone who thought that it would only take ‘5 mins’ to do a task for work… then I started tracking it with this app and now I know where all my time goes because it’s never just 5 mins. I’m able to now take the appropriate amount of time for project because of this app. I love how it’s designed so I can accurately put aside different projects and know how and where my time goes. I’ve recommended it to all my friends. Don’t hesitate!.Version: 4.8.1

Great for personal use, for minds that wander.Using projects, tags and the simplicity of adjusting the timer retrospectively, helps keep track of how much time is spent on side projects and distractions. This can be used to recognise patterns and make changes if desired; which the included Pomodoro timer is perfect for..Version: 4.10.0

Really good free version! This app is very simple and easy to use once you are aquatinted with the settings. It has quick selections for recently used time tracking and a easy to access quick start button. It also has Siri support! +1 Great app people..Version: 2.8

Motivating and LIFE CHANGING!As someone who has ADHD and autism, it’s super hard for me to focus. I’ve been using Toggl to organize and time track my life. This has LITERALLY changed my life. Because of Toggl, I have mentally trained myself to immediately stop the timer when I get distracted, and have even found the patterns of how I got distracted, and I have been able to change as a person. Toggl is FAR beyond just a time tracking device. I have used it as a reward system. It helped me start my art journey (which is developing into a career) It raised my self esteem, because I’ve been told so much in my life that I will never be normal, that I’m too distracted and weird. I’ve never felt so confident. Thank you Toggl..Version: 2.15.1

Helps with time blindnessThe app helps with time blindness for both personal and professional aspects of my life. I can now see how much time every task takes..Version: 5.5.2

Best time tracking app I’ve usedA few years ago I went on a journey to find a time tracking app that worked for me. I probably tried a dozen before this one and I’ve never looked back. It has most of the features I could ask for, easy use and integration with my work calendar..Version: 4.9.3

Love this app to keep track of my time! This app was introduced to me by a mentor. Before this app, I never know how much time I spend on studying, you know, time flies very quickly when you accidentally move your attention to something else that’s more fun than studying. So Toggl really helped me as if I need a break, I pause it. Then come back when I am ready. It’ll sum up the time you spend on whatever you are doing on that day so that you actually know how much time you put yourself into the work. After been using this app for at least a month now, I would ask my friend, “did you really study for a long time on #{some_day}?” , if they say yes, I then ask, how long did you study? The answer would always be IDK. Lol To be able to see how much TIME I’ve actually put myself into studying, the more encouraging I am to keep it consistent everyday. I really love this app!.Version: 2.6.1

Great time tracking app!I used Toggl a long time ago and ended up coming back to it when I started a new job. I really like the project and tag organization as well as the computer activity tracking. My two wishes would be for more functionality on the mobile app and the ability to add notes aside from the entry description..Version: 4.10.0

Great service, great app.I use this on a few devices and I really enjoy it. I don’t use it for billing, but more just to keep track of how I spend my time. Reading books, playing video games, excercising and working. My main gripe with the app used to be the modal way that the new time entry button worked. Tap to start a timer and hold to create and entry. You could swap those functions but having them both on the same button, and that setting not syncing between devices, I would often do the unintended thing. I really like that the app has been updated to have two separate buttons now. My only problem any longer is that sometimes the widget display is out of sync. I can imagine this being a very tough nut to crack, actually, and think the way widgets work may be more to blame here..Version: 4.0.2

To the penny! I Get Paid What I Earned Now!As an independent consultant and advisor, I am regularly charging less for my time than I should be because I multi-task projects so I used to jot start and end times but then I’d have to think about any breaks I took or calls that should be billed to someone else. Let’s say that I have shorted myself many times, until I discovered Toggl! Now I can stop a project and instantly switch to another project or even a different client in seconds. I click the start the timer button and then I click stop and jump over to the next project or go back to the client and project I was working on before the interruption. I can then start the timer again and it picks up where I left off. Not only am I ensuring that I get paid appropriately but I also have very professional reports of the client’s name, the project name, time spent on each of their projects and then tags that provide explicit detail of what I was doing with the time being billed. Clients love receiving these reports because it gives them an idea of what is involved in a service and how much time it can take some like myself with more than 25 years of experience. So if they pawn it off to someone that charges less they usually end up having me redo the work and give them advice for future activities that are on their horizon. Love this app! I tell others about it regularly but I’m also kind of selfish. I don’t want everyone to use my competitive advantage..Version: 3.10.1

Exactly what I was looking forI don’t have individual clients because I’m not a freelancer, but I am a data nerd and was desperate to find out where all of my focus time was going. I also wanted to know exactly how much time I was spending on work. Aaaand, I wanted something with an integrated pomodoro timer. I can’t believe that I found toggl — it checks all of my boxes and works like a DREAM. The UX and UI are intuitive and there are never any bugs (I haven’t found any 🤷🏾‍♂️). The uptime is also impressive — reliability is the most valuable currency in the software game. This app is a joy to use and I cannot wait to see how the product continues evolving..Version: 3.11.0

Brilliantly designed. Love itI love toggl both Web and mobile versions. There's nothing else as easy and quick to log time. Plus the new branding is a sight for sore eyes! Love it.Version: 3.9

Simple Productivity TrackerThe free version provides great multi-platform use for someone like me who doesn’t own a freelancing business and, as such, doesn’t need the capability to export billing documents or whatever to receive pay. I just use it to track how much time I spend studying, completing homework, and writing reports for each of my classes so that I have an overview and graph of what subjects I focus the most on. Seeing the numbers of hours worked on each subject helps motivate me to continue to keep my bar graphs high, and the timer function is much easier than imputing your own time into something like Google Sheets if you want to see graphs of your productivity. The ease of use is superb and simplicity of the app’s aesthetics is pleasing to the eye as well. It doesn’t look cheesy and that’s another big plus. There are also browser extensions and desktop applications for people who want to track their time offline. And the app itself also helps you track your workflow without a connection, then syncs when you’re connected to the internet. A+ job!.Version: 1.19

Really good for tracking my timeIt just works.Version: 4.0.1

Easy to use, straightforwardBeen using this app to track my time for almost 5 years. It’s simple, straightforward, and has whatever I need..Version: 5.4.1

Easy to use and still powerful appI’ve been using the app for couple of months and really like it. It’s very easy to track different activities through the day thanks to ability to see tracking on all my devices including watches. If forgot to start tracking its easy to add a block later on. The only thing I would like to have is more advanced reporting, for instance, each activity reporting through the month..Version: 4.9.1

Just a really really good appA really good app for keeping track of different tasks. I did need the added functionality of the desktop application to get everything set as I needed. It has helped me immensely. Thank you developers.Version: 5.4.1

Love the flexibility of using both desktop & mobile appI mostly use the desktop version of Toggl, but it’s great to know that if I forget to stop the timer before I leave my desk that I can stop it using the mobile app as the two synch.Version: 1.14.2

This is great for keeping track of tasksBeing a business where jumping from project to project with multiple clients is essential, this app makes keeping up to date with time useage really simple. It is easy to drop one thing and toggle to another with out losing sight of time accrued for billing..Version: 4.8.1

Issue with Pomodoro TimerThe app is great but when I use Pomodoro timer and lock the screen, and it's time for a break, the break timer is not available when I click the notification on lock screen and get back to app. It works properly when I don't lock the screen, but I wish also works well when I leave the app and lock the screen..Version: 5.4.1

Awesome Time Tracker and PlannerOver the past 10-15 years, I’ve experimented with various techniques and time management systems, and this one stands out for its intuitiveness and ease of learning. It’s an excellent choice for managing both business and personal time. My only critique is the lack of functionality for adding bullet points or creating lists in the project notes section. Currently, all information must be entered in a single line, which isn’t ideal. Nonetheless, this app is fantastic, also accessible via an internet browser. Despite my minor grievance, I highly recommend it and give it a five-star rating..Version: 5.5.2

Helps me defend my profitability. There’s how much time you *think* you’ve spent on something, then there’s how much time you’ve *actually* spent on something. Having toggl reports is similar to having clean financials as it measures resource (time) allocation and helps me know what’s realistic for work moving forward. I track every part of my business activity and can tell you how much time the team has spent on sales, admin, education, and on every client individually. I use employee time reports to identify when teammates are getting stuck on things that shouldn’t take as long and overall reports to determine when monthly cost adjustments are needed for clients. Toggl rocks!.Version: 5.0.0

Nice appWell designed and easy to amend entries. Widget is useful too. Only issue so far is that I haven’t been able to figure out how to create reports for daily/monthly time spent on particular combinations of projects. But I don’t really expect that from a free app..Version: 3.10.1

Best FREE time management appIt’s a genuinely free app. Hasn’t bothered me to spend $1.99 on an in app purchase to get full functionality of the app (as far as I’m aware) and compared to another time blocking app, this is way better. Not only is it a great app, it has genuinely improved my time management skills so much within the first weeks of using it. Time blocking can be daunting at first, so if you’re interested in it, I would recommend not being too strict with yourself at first, but this app has genuinely increased my productivity. Love that there’s a pomodoro timer built in too. My only critique is that the calendar is very janky when trying to move events around and it can be difficult to use the time sliders to adjust the start and end times of events after they’re set. But props to the developers, thank you for making a genuinely free app that has improved my life..Version: 4.4.0

Simple interface, easy to useI liked the reminder so I would remember to start the timer if I was working. Having it work across mobile and laptop is super convenient. Also being able to change settings like the day the week starts helped with my timesheets. Plus it was free!.Version: 2.1.3

Best time tracking appI have been using Toggl Track for years for my work and use Zapier to add my work times to my Google calendar. It’s a great app to keep track of the time spent for different clients and/or projects. I can tell in a blink how much time I worked in a day, week or month. My work has it’s own timers when I start projects, but they stop when I don’t touch the interface for a few minutes. This app keeps track of the REAL time I work, like when I look things up or am emailing a client. Provides a great overview of how much time spent in total in one or a few clicks. I would not know what to do without this app..Version: 3.9.1

Couldn’t live without this appI am a freelancer with multiple businesses. I always need to know where my time goes. I reach more of my personal and professional goals because of this app..Version: 4.9.3

Good tracking of timeThe app helps me record the number of hours I spend on my thesis writing versus those I spend on other activities. Just love it!.Version: 2.21.2

Supports Apple WatchGood. And support Apple Watch and I can use it for PC..Version: 4.9.1

Love itI love using the app extremely easy and convenient to track my time across multiple clients I don’t use the advance features that actually interestingly enough I would be willing to pay a small amount even for the functionalityIt has for free.Version: 4.0.0

Super easy to use, changed my work lifeThe combination of phone app and desktop app, both of which are really easy to use, has made my work life so much easier to manage. It takes a little time to get projects setup and get into the routine. Once that’s all sorted it’s a breeze to track and report on who costs you the most time..Version: 1.8.1

Second time using Toggl was the charmI first tried Toggl in late 2019 / early 2020 and it just didn’t gel with me. But the pressure to track my time for my own benefit was so strong that I tried it again in early 2021 and the difference was amazing. It’s as frictionless to use as oil on a road and gives me good visibility of how I’m spending and wasting time - and that accountability is a great way to waste less and achieve more..Version: 3.0.4

Review updatedI was unlucky enough to install the app while they had technical issues. Would not load on iPhone 11pro. In fairness the developers replied almost immediately to warn me about the problem and updated me when it was fixed (only a few minutes later). Really first class service..Version: 2.13

Super helpfulA great way to keep on top of how much time is spent doing what - allocating and understanding productivity, task management and how much time things can take..Version: 4.8.1

As a freelancer, I can’t recommend Toggl highly enoughI have used Toggl for many years as a freelancer to track time spent on multiple projects for many clients. I’m very impressed with its ease of use, functionality, and elegance..Version: 3.9.3

Valuable tool, UX niggles which I'm prepared to ignoreI agree with other reviews I've read of Toggl before, that the UX can be a bit confusing nowadays, and you sometimes have to use a few too many taps to get your task done. BUT, this is one of the most valuable tools I use on a day-to-day basis (as a busy software engineering manager, who likes to keep tabs on where his time goes). I am incredibly quick to discard a tool which I find hampers my work, yet I've been using Toggl daily for years now. I was miserable when the new version of the app had problems with consistency when it first launched, so I refused to upgrade; now though, I'm happy again, with Toggl slotting seamlessly into my working day..Version: 1.12

Love it on the pc, love the appToggl is the best time sheeting program I had found. I mostly use it on my pc but the app is very easy to use when I am with clients..Version: 3.7

Allows me to easily invoiceAllows me to see how much time I am spending per client and the highest value clients. Makes invoicing a breeze and is super easy to use. The synching between my phone and laptop is invaluable..Version: 3.6.1

Very useful. The app is a bit fiddly until you use it correctly. I kept accidentally creating time entries. So created a test project & read the Help section. It’s actually very simple to use. The Toggl product with the website & desktop apps really works well and the free plan is perfect for solo freelancers with a small number of clients like myself. 4.5 stars. Possibly the scrolling time entry list could be collated for entries more than a week old..Version: 1.14.2

Excellent app for increasing time awarenessThis app is really aimed at people monitoring their work productivity and hours, but I wanted something to keep me more time aware, focus on tasks and to waste time less with distractions. It also shows me ‘where the day has gone’ rather than having that sinking feeling that ‘I’ve not been very ‘productive’ today but not sure why. I have many roles and activities rather than one ‘job’ and I wanted to see how much time I spent doing what. The app is flexible enough to be used in this way and so far it’s worked well for me..Version: 4.0.2

So simple and yet so helpful !!!Before I started using Toggl I had no idea where my time was going - I knew that I was very busy, but I didn’t know what I was busy with. Toggl is easy to set up and easy to use - and now I can get great insight into where I’m spending my time. Thanks Toggl !!!!.Version: 2.21.2

Best professional time-keeperAllows you to log time to projects and add tags, as well as adding a description and retroactively editing entry’s, plus analytics, literally a dream app..Version: 4.0.2

Love it so far!I’ve only been using this briefly, but it’s perfect for my needs. I’m a salary employee with little supervision over my time, so I wanted a way to keep track of my hours and productivity for my own peace of mind and paid time off. Basically, I open a time clock entry, type in the description indicating whether I’m at the climbing gym, at home, or out running errands, and create new tags or select old ones based on the task at hand, e.g. “emails,” “staffengagement,” “meeting,” etc. Then when I’m done for the day or the session, I just press “stop,” and it automatically records my hours for me. I can look at the day or the week, etc to see how many hours I’ve worked and what I did those days. I love it so far!.Version: 4.0.2

Nice tool to track time usageEasy to use.Version: 2.1.2

RecommendedHelps me keep track of my hours. Works well across macOS devices..Version: 5.3.0

Best tracking app!For work I need to keep constant tracking of my time for each issue in the day. Sometimes that was challenging because of dealing with more than one issue at a time. But Toggle Track allows me to quickly swap and change which issue I am tracking. Definetly I recommend it..Version: 4.8.1

UPDATE: Amazing new calendar feature and interfaceThis app used to be one that I kept on my phone and forgot about. I never used it as I didn’t find it helpful logging my time, and it didn’t really help my time management skills. But the calendar view is the single most useful feature on here, and I now find this app super helpful, as it actually lets me visualise where I’ve spent my time, rather than just making a long list of all the things I’ve tracked. I love the new interface too, it’s much simpler and it’s quicker to enter what task I am currently doing. If it wasn’t for the new free features, I probably would have ended up deleting the app and never used it again..Version: 2.19.3

Free version is amazing for the solo workerThe fact that the app’s paid tiers are for teams makes the free version an incredible resource for people who work alone and just want to know where their time is going. For example, I’m an academic. My “clients” are teaching, research, and service. A “project” could be a course I’m teaching or an article I’m writing. And then tasks are more granular components of those projects, like “Lesson planning, week 8” or “Lit review.” It’s eye-opening, it’s a self-accountability tool, and honestly I think it helps me waste less time because I want to maximize the ratio of hours on the Toggl clock to hours spent in my office. Also, major props for the online syncing between app and website. That’s not easy to get right, and it’s been flawless for me in my time using the app..Version: 1.20

Great AppI use it for virtual work and it’s great on desktop and the app. Was recommended by a friend and I love the free features..Version: 5.5.2

So practicalThis is a great app. Works so well and is versatile. I have used fir a couple of years and have no complaints..Version: 4.8.1

This is a great appI rarely give feedback but this is a great app for tracking your work quickly and easily. I have used it for a year and integrated it on my Mac and using a stream deck so I just press a button and it just works. The reports are really good out of the box too..Version: 4.7.0

Good appDoes the job well. I wish there was a specific screen for project organisation (add/delete). Also, changing the start/stop time sometimes shows and sometimes doesn’t show. My opinion: it should always show when you scroll down on a time entry.Version: 3.9.3

Great easy to use trackerThis app has been so helpful, easy to use, able to have the app on my mobile and desktop sync. Helped me clearly see what I was working on and keep track of my work hours while working from home..Version: 3.9.3

Instant feedback through great graphics & reportingVery easy to setup and use. Great graphic reporting for any time frame you want to look at and get an instant idea of where your time is going. Has blown away other time logging apps I've looked at and used. Essential tool for anyone that knows how important it is to analysis where your time is spent. Love it!.Version: 1.13.1

Toggl on your time managementI love his app. It makes tracking my time at work so easy and seamless! I can spend more time working and less time figuring out my invoicing..Version: 4.0.2

Simple and effectiveI’ve used Toggl Track for about a year continuously and it makes time tracking to projects and tasks very simple and much more accurate than trying to remember at the end of the week what you’ve been working on!.Version: 3.2

Great app!Love it for working on multiple projects. I can bounce back and forth between them all..Version: 4.8.1

Just what I needI’ve been looking for an app like this for years to record my timesheets. It’s great! My only suggestion would be that there’s a page with all your projects clearly to select the ones you’re working on. Thanks!.Version: 3.7

Nice UI, but sloooooooowI really like the way this app has been evolving over the last year or so. The UI is super clean and easy to use. But: Even on an iPhone X, typing the description of a new timer is so slow that I want to throw my phone out of the window every time I do it. (Note that I track my time 24/7 and might therefore have many more time entries than the average user, so it might not be as bad if you only track your work hours. But still, when I type a 3-word-long timer description, I don't want to wait 5 seconds for the words to show up after I'm done typing. Just make the recent-timers-search asynchronous and don't block the main thread! *descends into incoherent screaming about software architecture*).Version: 1.12.1

Workstyle changing appVery good. Very easy to use and include all features I'm after. My workatyle has changed after switching to toggl and have much more control and better estimation of tasks..Version: 1.21.1

Amazing for productivity and planningI really wish they had per task reports in free version. Else it is an amazing app 5/5 recommended.Version: 4.8.1

Big help working from homeI use the app to track my hours while working from home during the pandemic otherwise I’d either not work enough and feel stressed over the weekend or hyper focus too much and do double my hours during the week. This helps with the birds eye view of my time. I would LOVE if I could find a way to keep the quick select option at the top for ‘what am I working on’ even after I delete entries below as I reset the timer every week!.Version: 2.20

EverydayUse this app everyday for my time keeping- and in turn billing, very simple and easy to use. Thanks toggl.Version: 1.14.2
