✓ Compatibility with Apple WatchHi Brandon, I’m so excited to have found the My Ear app. It was shared on a group I’m a member of “ Meniere’s Awareness Project“ and they shared it yesterday. I have tried several different apps and was always disappointed. Your app is just what I need. I noticed that it also loaded onto my Apple Watch 5 which is really great. I can hold my iPhone towards the person speaking and I can read what they are saying on my watch. This way I don’t have to use headphones to capture what they are saying. I sent you an email because I could not find a solution in the FAQ’s. When I clear the conversation on my iPhone, it doesn’t clear on my watch. I tried closing the app on both the iPhone and watch. When I went back it was still clear from the iPhone but still on the watch. The only thing that worked was to actually turn the Watch off. There has to be an easier way to clear the watch. But I must say, overall, I’m extremely pleased and grateful with your app..Gma2Version: 3.0.5

✓ WowThis is a game changer. It does one thing, and does it right. I ended up with a significant hearing loss from a case of the measles when I was 8 (before vax was available). Hearing aids can only do so much. Lip reading is useful, but this really makes a difference. More effective than the close captioned services that use an interpreter. ✓ Thank goodness for Brandon!I lost all (yes, I mean all) of my hearing ten years ago and went through so much depression, agoraphobia, anger, frustration, and just plain embarrassment over the whole ordeal. Losing your hearing is a traumatic event and my friends pulled away from me as much as I did from them. It felt like I died, it felt like I didn’t count anymore, I am now discriminated against right to my face, it is a real tragedy that I hope not many others begin at age 36 like I did. This device, however, has the power to change this. This is not Dragon Dictation or any other dictation app you have tried and fought with them eventually gave up on. I tried it simply because I figured a man who built this for his father did it for real and with all his heart and wanted to change his father’s life. Well, he has in just three days changed mine also. I used it all day each day so far and I am so happy that I can so easily communicate with my relatives and friends that I I have now. This device is real-time, not deaf-time. There’s no delay and it simply listens all the time. My mom was so very pleased when we ate lunch today and had the fullest conversation we have had since I went left in 2008. This is a real game changer and with a man like Brandon behind it doing it all for his dad, it can only get better! So worth it. Wish it had existed sooner! ✓ Excellent app for the deaf.Yesterday I attended a knitting class and one of the ladies was deaf. The instructor thought she would have to talk face to face with the lady to teach her but the woman brought out your app on her cell phone and whatever the teacher said translated very fast on her cell so she could participate in the class. I tried four different “free with in-app purchase” voice to text apps. I was not satisfied with any of them and felt tricked into paying an annual fee for supplemental tools, such as grammar and punctuation, that were necessary to make those other apps useable. MyEar was the fifth app and the best. I appreciate the one-time, up-front cost. The transcription has the highest accuracy of the five apps I downloaded. It even correctly spelled common Hawaiian words: Honolulu, Waikiki and Ala Moana! My mom lives in Honolulu so this is a huge plus! What sets this app apart from any app I have purchased is the support. I had a number of questions about compatibility and programming. I received detailed answers within 24 hours. ✓ This app exceeds expectationsMy hearing husband loaded this app today after reading about it on the internet. He says it performs so nearly accurate it rivals the other speech to text software. He said even the punctuation is mostly accurate. It ran perfectly upon installation. He adjusted the size of text and that was it. I am running iOS 14.2 on this iPad Pro. ✓ Life saverMy hard of hearing, elderly Dad was in the hospital recently. I set up the app MyEar on an iPhone for him to give it a try. It worked wonderfully when we, the nurses, physical therapist, and doctors came in to chat with him. I enlarged the text size size so Dad could read it easily. The speech recognition is excellent. There were only a few misses. After chatting with Brandon, the developer, we tried the app with the wired Apple ear bud microphone. It worked even better, particularly in the restaurant associated with Dad’s senior living center. The background noise did not interfere with the transcription. My parents are using the app all the time. Dad also holds the microphone up to the speaker on the landline phone. Phone calls have become so much easier. ✓ BrilliantBrandon, I just have to say .....you are a genius! My 92 year old mom has been hard of hearing for 30 plus years. The last 2-3 really bad(she doesn’t like the deaf word though) Her lip reading skills are not like they use to be. We have tried the hearing helper app, but it is no where as efficient as your is. We have tried writing tablets, use a lot of hand gestures, but as you know so frustrating. The reason I found your app tonight, was my Mom was quite pitiful as she came into the kitchen area where me and my sister were talking..and said...”I am so tired of not being able to be in a conversation with anybody, the two of you just don’t understand what it is like not to be able to hear and have conversations”. It was then I realized, have I just been complacent with what we had that I wasn’t searching for help anymore. So, I decided to search again....entered talk to text device for the deaf...and up your app came(okay maybe the the 4 th or 5 th thing on page). Anyway, I read the first review and downloaded it, tried it with mom and omg it picked up my every word and yes I could even change the font size and I can point the screen to hear as I am talking. ✓ Having to press clear text with long pause communicationI was watching NASA TV and I have to clear text every time there’s a long pause with the communication between crews of Dragon & Mission control. How do you fix that so that I don’t have to press “clear text”. Other people don’t have the ability to wear hearing aid and wonder why nothing shows up after long pause of communication. ✓ Love this AppWe have been using this app with my father-in-law who suddenly lost all his hearing. His 85 year-old eyes really appreciate the ability to change the font size so he can read the text comfortably. Also the accuracy of the speech to text is quite good. In the days of COVID-19 we would love to know if there is a good remote microphone that works well with this App on his iPad. He would like to see friends from 6 feet away, but he can’t understand them with the masks and can’t pick up their speech from that distance using just the microphone on his iPhone or iPad..ECtraveler2Version: 3.0.5

✓ Very usefulThis is great for glancing down during a conversation to make sure you’ve got the words right or even in louder situations when you can’t understand them at all. It is very accurate when it transcribes it on the screen. Definitely worth the money and it has an Apple Watch app to go with it. PLEASE MAKE THE WATCH APP USABLE WITHOUT HAVING TO HAVE YOUR IPHONE APP OPEN. I can just hold the watch up toward the other persons mouth when they talk and access the app quickly on my watch but it’s kind of a hassle and sort of defeats the purpose to me if you have to use your iphone at the same time you use the watch. I want to be as hands free as possible this would be a great problem solver for me. I’m a PE teacher and coach so I’m always on the move and talking to kids and adults.
