✓ Great App but the hints make it hard for me to learn anything.What do the colored graphic hints mean? So far I’ve seen red squares, yellow, pink, and green highlighted squares. The apps help section and websites help section don’t explain anything..Version: 2.1.0

✓ Chess King is an excellent chess learning toolThe modules for Chess King are relatively inexpensive compared to a book or video course. I think the big advantage is that Chess King is interactive and can give feedback on wrong or inaccurate moves, guiding you to the correct answer. I considered myself a reasonable chess player(but still with a huge amount to learn). I was surprised that I was having trouble seeing even some of the basic tactics. The big benefit of this app, apart from the ones above, is that you can go over the tactics as part of a training schedule. I was alerted to this app by the book Rapid Chess Improvement by Michael de la Maza, which recommends using CT-Art as the foundation for repetitive training on tactics to see a rapid improved in your game, more so than studying any other area of chess. ✓ Very Stimulating and enjoyableExcellent chess course. A mixture of didactic theory in combination with loads of stimulating practice lessons. Very enjoyable. You also get rated which encourages you to progress. You must know a bit of chess (rules etc.) because it does not teaches you chess from a complete novice’s prospective but does start from quite a basic level. ✓ The most useful and accessible app $$This app has ebooks, exercises, and sorts them by category. It has world chess championship annotated games. A lot of free and cheap paid content that’s great! ✓ Broken but fixed!!Boards don't show properly, sometimes not at all. Used to be a favourite, but it needs a developer to update and test it for iOS 13. At its current state, it just doesn't work. EDIT - these issues have now thankfully been fixed!!! Back to five stars!!!.Version: 1.1.3
✓ Could improveIt’s great l love it. But if could have a few gm videos talking through game advancing in all stages open mid end game. And how to set up attacks or defend them. The app shows you these and that’s great for autonomy play. All permit the user to continue playing against a chess engine at any intermediate or final position to check his own ideas. A demo version of each course is available for download before purchase. Email messages to the developers are generally answered overnight and are most helpful. Problems to solve are grouped by categories but can easily be switched to random to make solving each position more challenging.
