✓ Why so greedy?The game’s great... the first half hour. After that, the greed these developers have is clear to see for everyone. The boxes you get after a race take hours to unlock and only give lower end parts and a tiny (and I mean TINY) amount of cash. If you want to be competitive you will be forced to spend real money. Parts cost thousands to upgrade and when you get $33 from a box that is pointless. Before long you have a ton of parts ready for an upgrade and no in-game cash to do it with. This game has so much potential, cause it would be awesome if you could be competitive without breaking the bank. Unfortunately it’s spoiled by greedy developers. 5-star potential, 1-star execution..Version: 3.10.2
✓ Fun for awhileReally enjoyed this one initially but ultimately you seem to get stuck in no mans land with a bike that’s too slow to win anything substantial. ✓ Worst than the original - avoid.This maintains all the bad things about the original and adds nothing new that is in any way an improvement The daft control system of the first game stays, but has been made harder to use because the track now twists and turn, making it almost impossible to tell if you’re on flat ground, descending or meant to be climbing. At the same time, tap / tap and hold does way too many different things, so it’s easy to mess up. The game is also plagued with the same stupid obsession of collections parts, currency, credits, gems and god knows what. I know this is common is most free to play games, but it doesn’t stop it being annoying. Somehow, 15 years later, this is still not as good as Downhill Domination on the PS2. Someone just give me that on my iPhone and I’ll be happy. Avoid this slow, annoying rubbish. If you like the first one, just play that..Version: 1.6.2
✓ Pay to play as alwaysDevelopers can’t be patient and get revenue from people voluntarily buying upgrades and getting revenue from adverts, no, they make you pay to play these days. Clash of Clans had the balance right, you can upgrade in your own time and meanwhile, only take on people on your level or below. In this game, I’m put against bikes with overall performance of 890 to 905 whereas my bike is only 704. So yeah guess what I come in 3rd and 4th a lot. You get boxes to open but all you get is the same upgrade parts for the lower end forks, tyres, frames etc and nothing for the better stuff you manage to unlock. So to get better parts, you need to pay, then you have a chance against people with better bikes. When you do finally have some better parts, the cost to upgrade them goes up, 2000 coins for example but cos you keep losing, you earn 54 coins per race. Lovely. The game is good, addictive, graphics are great and it’s smooth running but yeah, sick and tired of the greed, why don’t they just let people choose to buy upgrades with real money rather than being forced to. When left to my own ideas, a good game is rewarded by me and I’ll spend real money. When they’re like this,I just delete them. If we all backed away from these greedy sods, they’d rethink they’re strategy..Version: 3.8.1
✓ This game is 😕This game is great, but there is no way to get rid of a reward crate or play offline so you don’t waste the rewards. Once you get a reward crate, you have to start the lengthy unlock process and you can only do one at a time... unless you pay for it with the units in the game that cost real money! I think you should be able to throw the crates out without opening them for the space so you don’t waste a reward. Apart from that the game is pretty good, but it also crashes sometimes which is frustrating because it means you waste free attempts, tickets and rewards..Version: 3.10.2

✓ Good Time KillerThis game is fun, I had to set a screen timer just for it cause I’ll play it all day. Enough tracks to keep it pretty diverse, and each track will benefit from different bike setups so makes you pick parts carefully, and when you clear a line it feels great. There are also other game modes like slope style and weekly challenges to keep you busy. My biggest issue is the ranking system. I’ve been stuck between diamond and master for awhile, I can place top 3 final in diamond with no issues and win all races, as soon as I get to master I’m dead last, like setting PRs on runs but still 1-3 seconds behind the pack, which makes no sense at all. All I can think is that they are probably trying to get you to buy upgrade packs 👎🏼 can’t say fer sure that’s the case, but it’s a common strategy in a lot of other mobile games to put you up against stacked players to entice you to buy packs to keep up. Either way that’s 2 stars off from me, because when I get to Master I am not incentivized to race cause I get nothing, then once I downgrade back to diamond i can actually compete..Version: 3.8.2
✓ Game with great potentialThis game has great potential and is addictive. The only downside is that I feel pedalling slows down the rider and also you have to land hard and early to avoid being overtaken. I think if these small changes were fixed to improve the momentum when playing this game could be great..Version: 1.8.4

✓ A really annoying bugSo I just tried to collect a season reward, and for some reason it didn’t so I restarted the game. When I opened it back up it said I had an unopened sponsor pack and when I went to try to open it, it wouldn’t. Then when I went back the whole main interface started frizzing out. Also sometimes when I watch a video to retry a heat it won’t restart it. Please fix your game and then I will give 5 stars.Version: 1.6.7

✓ Don’t recommendThis game is really annoying because when you get to gold and platinum league your bike is always worse and you always come forth. If you want a super rigged game then this is for you. APP DEVELOPERS please make it an option whether you choose to level up or not. It’s super annoying when you are competing against people who are really good and with really good bikes and it’s super hard to place even third. ✓ Fantastic until it isn't.Up to platinum league was amazing, kept it fresh and always seemed like I could get further. Once I got to platinum it gets incredibly stacked and it isn't worth the grinding. Boxes give you useless upgrades, if you drop back a league and grind to get ahead you're simply put in the same place in an overall better league. The tricks get super stale and you never unlock new tricks or perks. I grinded to get a season pass without paying but it's not entirely worth it. ✓ “Multiplayer”I highly doubt we are racing real people because I can wait as long as I want to start a race but somehow when you get to the last race everyones scores are instantly available. So how did all the other racers in my match get finish the race before I even started or are they waiting for my score to continue? Ive never had to wait on someone to finish so I dont think thats the case. What i think is happening is the game is constantly winning against you with bots to encourage you to pay real money to get a better bike so you can win. ✓ Huge step backwards.Well somehow this game seems to be a huge step back from the first. Only been playing for 1 day and already bored of doing the same race over and over to get nothing. The new slopestyle events give you barely any control over what you can do to score points, instead you just have to hope other players miss the automatic tricks. ✓ Upgrade boxes are worthlessFun to start. You can earn a lot of upgrade boxes but they just keep adding low end components and parts, which are of no help. You can never seem to upgrade your best components either. Even buying more gold and crap is no help. ✓ A great buildup to a giant disappointment.This game was very fun to begin with. The simple controls make it an easy game to pass the time a little bit. However, in the last couple weeks the game has been slowing me down so that I literally cannot win. I upgrade my bike and I not only run the exact same tracks over two seconds slower than I have from a LOWER LEVEL bike, but I lose by more than three seconds sometimes to people who are over 250 points below me. What is the point of upgrading a bike if the game literally won’t let me win? For how much fun this game was at the start, it’s disappointing to see how much the developers clearly give preference to people who pay real money to play the game versus those of us who play for fun but still want to succeed in it. Although, it is a mobile game and it’s difficult to make a mobile game based purely on skill, but still. It’s a bit disappointing how it has turned out.Version: 2.2.2
✓ Overall good game, lacks contentFor the most part this is a good game, it just needs some tweaking. The cost of upgrading parts, etc gets to be extremely unbalanced when compared to the rate at which you earn gold, even if you pay for the season pass. The largest disappointment to me though is the lack of fresh content. A daily event that you can play for free 3 times, after that you have to use tickets (which cost money), then a couple events that last for days, but you still only get 3 chances to play them without using tickets. There is only one racing series you can enter as many times as you want, and that gets repetitive. All that being said, I do enjoy the game. It just needs more diverse content that is refreshed more often than once or twice a week. The season pass should at least give you unlimited race tickets since you have to spend real money for it, and still have to earn the rewards through racing, which cost tickets, which cost more money... ✓ AnnoyingDon’t start off the game being good because it will punish you for it, I got into gold rank really quick but I don’t have the bike for it, all my races I’m put against people who have much batter bikes because they didn’t match the gear I was getting to what I would need it for, only to what I was in when I got it, so now because I’m losing all my races, I’m not getting any gear and I’m slowly down ranking. In all honesty, other than that issue I can’t find a fault, the controls are quite smooth and easy to get to grips with, decent graphics for a mobile game, and you start to learn when to pump and when not to after a while. But honestly I’ve uninstalled it due to the whole being stuck in a league where people have bike that have 300+ rating on mine, I’m going against 700+ bikes when mine is barely over 400 there’s no way I can win that so I’ve just uninstalled it. ✓ Slow ProgressionWhile I enjoy playing and building my bike, the loot boxes have nothing but rubbish in them. I raced and raced and raced, manage to win a tier 3 box, it had the same 1 star quality components as the tier 1 box. ✓ Large game size with not much to doThis game takes up 1.55 GB of space. I have no idea how this is even possible. On any given day you can race about 5 different “courses” with about 2 different backgrounds, and these are in rotation every few days or so. It is very easy to get “burnt out” playing the same few tracks all day. This also makes it a pain to progress. Progression in the game is painfully slow. The concept is great - Real riders, real bikes and parts, etc... but the game itself is slow, progression is slow, and I have no idea why the devs can’t keep a simple game like this (which of course requires a constant internet connection) under 1GB. I’ve seen much higher quality and more complex games that fall right around the 1.3 GB mark. I downloaded this game when it first came out and held on to it thinking “maybe it’ll get better....” But it’s just the same game with a different few tracks once in a while..Version: 1.8.11

✓ Would Give 4 Stars But...I saved up all of my obtainium to purchase the season pass, but I had already reached level 30 on the season pass. When I bought it (yesterday) the game only gave me the chests, not all of the rewards. Now the sponsorship packs seem to be multiplying in my inbox (now there are three) and none of them can be opened. ✓ Pay to winThe game is fun but after a certain point progression is extremely slow and you’re placed against bikes that are much higher rated in the same league. With only getting two star boxes for winning events it’s rare that you’ll be able to upgrade any 3 or 4 star parts so your bike is stuck around a 700 rating whilst everyone else is on 900+. The only way to be able to keep up is to grind for a season pass or spend real money on better parts. Essentially the game doesn’t come down to skill and it’s more about how much money you can spend to get the best bike.Version: 2.8.0

I even decided to spend money on the game and pay for the season. After playing for a few weeks I got tired of playing the game on a small screen and wanted to begin playing on my iPad. To do this (play across multiple devices) you must connect the game to either a FB or Red Bull account. When I did this, it erased all of my data, starting the game from the beginning. Guess they are taking a day or two to decide to raise the price of the season again. Season 1 was 400 gems and they raised Season 2 to 1000. Raise it again, I’ll just delete the app. They raised the price for a season again. That makes it $12 if you just buy enough gems to join. ✓ Stupid ranking systemThe ranking system in this game is quite literally rigged. If you move up to the next league you are immediately pitted against people with faster bikes, better parts and who are at a higher level in general. And if you move down you are against people who are just too easy to beat and then you move back up and the process starts all over again. This is fun for a while until you get to silver or gold league, but after that, I’d say it’s pay-to-win. You’d have to buy all the coins in order to pay for good bikes. So if you’re looking for a little bike game to enjoy yourself for a while, get this (that’s the only reason this isn’t one star) but once you get to the point where you can only get third place, stop playing. By the way, if you haven’t noticed, all of the other players are just ghosts. Just a little tip, in case you thought anyone actually played the game with you. ✓ No boostI’ve played the game for a while now. Luv the game. But I have managed to get to a competitive level in free play. but free play & paid play are way to far apart. ✓ After a few months...I truly loved this game at first! It’s a fun game and brings out the competitive side. The tracks are fun, the bikes and parts realistic and the technique takes some grasping. Sadly the game has one downfall, upgrades. While I appreciate the game is free, if you’re a grafter instead of a spender you’ll be here forever. My parts are on around level 5 costing 2000 coins per upgrade. If you manage first place three times in a row you get around 160 coins if you’re lucky meaning you have to come first 37 times to upgrade one tire out of many or, one crank out of many. Sadly the game is now moving so slowly I’m losing interest rapidly. Overall a fun game but if you want to upgrade everything expect to spend forever doing it..Version: 1.8.6

I think the amount of gold that comes in the prizes could be higher as well. I have 22 improvements I can do but can’t in any way upgrade. ✓ TediousI love everything that RedBull does for mountain biking but apparently they should stay out of computer games. This game looks great (I’ll give you a star for that) but the actual gameplay is extremely limited and repetitive. The only control you have is to hold the screen on downhills and tap it on the uphills. That’s it! Any tricks are done for you. There’s no steering, no braking, no gears, no anything else. In fact, the aim of the game seems to be not to ride your bike but to upgrade it by constantly collecting new parts and this seems to be the only way to improve your ability to win races as well. It’s really frustrating when you’re holding your finger down to go as fast as possible on a downhill and still watching other players (actually bots) simply going faster. It’s fairly easy to collect new parts, at least early on when you can win a few races, but as you progress you find yourself finishing 3rd or last over and over and get few rewards. Also they don’t bombard you with ads (hence 3 stars) but it does seem to be an endless process of tiny incremental improvements and there’s no way I can maintain interest when the gameplay is so limited..Version: 3.24

I thought it was going to just be about mountain biking and getting better but it is many about upgrading your bike. Also there is very limited maps. Also you have to pay for a lot of stuff. So it is a pay to win game. An annoying thing about it is in speed and style the players you are racing against don’t do any tricks, while I would have to do tricks which would slow me down. Also in speed and style it is judged on if you are first, second or so on. I KNOW in real life it is judge on speed AND style, if it is only based on speed there is no point on doing tricks. ✓ Fun...for a secondThis game truly becomes trash after a couple times playing. All race results are solely based off of bike upgrades - the “real time” opponents are just CPU’s with much better bikes. The ranking / point system is skewed and varies drastically day by day - one day your ranking class will be too easy then the next day it becomes impossible to place higher than 3rd (all due to opponents’ bikes being upgraded). All race modes are essentially the same and repetitive and will require a purchase 90% of the time. Terrible lack of explanations throughout the gameplay (slope style point system unclear and inconsistent, and never explained). The UX & UI is average at best, ton of boxes and buttons with little to no function. App becomes incredibly limited once you realize you can’t progress any further and / or don’t want to spend money..Version: 3.16
✓ Fun until it becomes impossibleEarly on it’s great: You win, you upgrade, you advance. Once you hit the Grand Master league, the point and part gap between you and the others in that league is so great you have literally zero chance of placing above third, and you’re generally going to be dead last. Moreover, it’s the only racing game where you can place third each round and somehow place fourth overall. You’ll reach grand masters, lose a bunch of points trying to compete, then get bumped back down to masters where you’re likely going to come in the top 5 without really even trying (it’s based on overall career point accumulation, not in any way related to race performance in the current iteration). Repeat for a few decades and you might get enough to buy parts which allow you to compete in GM. There needs to be another league level (or several), otherwise I’m basically earning better rewards by NOT playing so that I don’t risk coming in anything but first as it causes a loss of points. Kind of a joke, but it’s a mobile game, so that’s typically the paradigm..Version: 2.2.2
✓ Decent but could be improvedThe wait time to open the crates are ridiculous. It basically makes this a game you play for a few minutes and quit for a few hours until you can get more upgrades. The ad that is supposed to give you a crate doesn’t do anything at all. At least for me. I tried it 5 times and each time there was no reward after watching the advertisement..Version: 1.6.2
✓ Really isn’t that great.This game is very overrated and the rating is most likely fake. The game engine itself works great, ok graphics but that’s what ones and zeroes are made to do. The problem within the game becomes apparent the more you play it. If your too good and you have an easy start by advancing through leagues too quickly, be prepared for agony. In the platinum league the AI is very clearly getting boosts and you as a player are being negatively impacted too. This becomes apparent when your in first place all the race yet, the AI gets a big boost and all of the contestants outrun you; this is also obvious when peddling up a hill to “maintain” speed whereas the player’s speed is hindered abruptly making you loose your place. As a matter of fact you don’t even have to play the game itself as the store offers many things which will give an immense boost and essentially make you “good”. All summed up; the game itself is good yet, the developers are scummy and if you really want to enjoy the game your going to pump a generous amount of money into it, your much better of playing other games but if you’re willing to grind and loose often then it’s not that bad; it is quarantine so what else do you have to do?.Version: 3.16
✓ Good game but glitchyGood game but power and data hungry. Goes slow and jerky at times costing you the race and trophy’s. Hard to gain trophy’s once your in grand master league. If you don’t win or beat the person with much higher trophy’s you loose loads. Take ages to get them back. Definitely a pay to win game..Version: 1.8.6
✓ Fun until you hit the paywallThis game is a lot of fun when you first start out. You don’t have to worry about the small mechanics in the game. Every setup you create is fast and you can win by doing just about anything. Then you start getting up in to the higher leagues and you start to realize that even though you’re actually going faster than you’ve gone on some of the tracks, you’re constantly getting beat. This starts a loop where you can’t earn any rewards to get upgrades to beat other, and you’re stuck. Your only option when you’re stuck is to pay up and get the upgrades, which is not a fun feeling. Also, when you start to have to worry about the smaller mechanics, like knowing when to tap or hold when going over rollers or rocks, it gets extremely confusing. I found myself staring at my rear tire to see whether tapping or holding was the correct thing in certain spots, and when it’s not correct you immediately drop to 4th and can’t catch up..Version: 3.26
✓ Update changed thingsBefore this most recent update I would have given it 4 stars. It wasn’t impossible to upgrade your bike and compete but the game was definitely geared towards getting you to buy upgrades. The game isn’t hard but it is a lot of fun to pass the time. However, after this most recent update, it’s near impossible to place, let alone win, in any races. With no changes to my bike setup, my times are almost always over a second slower than my best times. No idea what they did but they definitely nerfed the power ups and made so you really have to pay now to compete. Before this update I didn’t mind paying a dollar here or there to compete, but now, no thanks..Version: 3.10
✓ Headaches!!This game is really good, however I do have a couple of headaches, both literally and figuratively about it. I was able to get into the platinum league really easily, and now lose every race I enter, so it’s harder to earn points, I would like to be relegated/demoted but that doesn’t seem to be an option. Very frustrating that I have to lose the same race a few times to be able to open any boxes. Also, despite the graphics being great, some parts of the courses are too dark, leading to missed hills/jumps (again, frustrating!) but the serious matter here is I’ve ended up straining my eyes to see anything in the forest runs, even with my brightness turned all the way up. Still, a simple and fun game to play- just a few improvements!.Version: 1.8.11

✓ Fun Game but Not ConsistentSeason 15 I was winning races and setting my own personal bests on tracks. Season 16 and I am consistently over second behind my normal times either with no changes to the bike and even with big upgrades. The game will not allow me to do better. My best guess is that they slow you down until you spend money. Losing is fine if the other racers are better but not when the game is cutting back on your normal performance..Version: 3.10

✓ EhI play this game everyday , and I can say with confidence that this is genuinely one of the most impossible games I’ve ever played. It’s very fun to start out with , but once you progress in the game it gets very hard. If you don’t plan on spending lots of money on this game , good luck , because this is the most pay to win game I’ve ever played. There’s almost 0 game modes , ranked being one of the only free game modes you can play. Later on in the game bike parts and the biker cards are very hard and expensive to get unless you rank very high in every event. Winning 1st place in event is a diffrent story. I swear to god the AI’s in this game are the GOAT of mountain biking and literally impossible to beat. I should not be loosing to a 540 bike while I’m 1100.Version: 3.10.2
