Jabra Sound+ for Negative User Reviews

Nags more than my ex wifeKeeps asking for a review. Here is your reviews.Version: 4.12

MediocreApp has a fair number of helpful functions, but they seem to all be hidden several layers deep under the gear function and it’s hard to remember where to look even when you’re aware they exist. Also, settings like voice guidance vs. tone guidance for some reason seem to be saved as app settings rather than in the firmware, so every time my earbuds periodically have trouble connecting, I get to hear the irritating “select the jabra product from the list” voice clip repeatedly while trying to reconnect even though I have tone guidance selected in settings, and if I have to remove and re-add the earbuds in phone Bluetooth settings (which is generally true whenever it refuses to connect) all of my settings are reset and I have to go redo them every time..Version: 5.0

Unable to locate my Jabra eliteIt’s sad that the app doesn’t really help you to locate the device. It gives an approximate location (with a huge radius)and not the exact location. Also the app doesn’t enable the the device to make some kind of sound/noise, which can help to find the device. Bose earphones has this feature that if device is lost, it makes sound using their app. If I am not able to locate my Jabra then definitely I am moving to BOSE earphones. It’s a shame that we spend so much money on these devices but can’t locate them, if lost..Version: 2.6

Good but needs a few featuresHeadphone: Elite 85h. App is ok, I mostly like the customizations for voice calls. A couple of issues that need to be worked out though. Connectivity issues happen often where the app does not recognize the headphone as connected, even though it is connected (possibly the Bluetooth LE part). Please add ability to manage Bluetooth connections (similar to Bose and Cortana apps). The Elite 85h is able to connect to 8 devices, but with many devices previously connected laying around the office or at home, it’s difficult to know which ones are connected. The headphone only says “two devices connected” so at the minimum please make it say the names of the devices. If I want to connect another device, I have to disconnect one of the two already connect, then connect the other. It won’t connect to a new device and automatically drop and replace one of the connections. Sometimes I have to go device hunting to see what it’s connected to (iMac, surface, iPhone, iPad).Version: 3.2

Waste of money and timeUnable to pair to PC or laptop although it indicates is “paired” NO SOUND AT ALL just getting the voice that says hear through or ANC or download the sound plus app to personalise your head set or if I click the other button just says voice guidance on or off Besides that NOTHING else happens It’s been a NIGHTMARE trying to pair them in different devices such as 2 different iPhones DON’ T waste your time and money as I did !.Version: 5.8.1

Ok I guessNot Super impressed with the headphones and the related app. Each time I sit nice cancelling setting it seems to revert to us making it kind of useless..Version: 5.2

Sabra Elite Active 75 TConnectivity poor and everyone complains they cannot hear me. Have to wear both at same time for functionality.Version: 5.4

Booth won’t find deviceMy iPhone 13 will not locate the earbuds. What now?.Version: 5.17

Not able to customizeConstantly having to go into the app and set my preferences from the default. ie. “noise canceling - hear through - off” needs constant maintenance and nothing stays.Version: 5.14

Right ear gets loudEvery time I click noise cancelling feature right ear bud gets extremely loud.Version: 5.17

Great for Music... don’t even bother for callsBought these earbuds after reading reviews that they were great for music and calls but I have never been so disappointed as they are utterly useless for telephone calls! Recipients can never hear what I am saying due to the surrounding everyday sounds. They can actually hear someone standing down the street better than they can hear me!! Will there be a fix for this as I actually like them for the music and streaming the likes of Netflix but don’t want to have to negotiate removing them just to take a call...kinda defeats the purpose of why I bought them?.Version: 3.4

Find my location doesn’t workWhile I like the app, a big problem is that find my jabra does not work unless the app is open even if the location is enabled all the time in the settings. So unless there is a way to have location tracked when the earbuds are connected via Bluetooth even if the app is not open, find my jabra is of little use. I lost a pair earlier and if I lose another one I will have to switch to AirPods unless the above is fixed..Version: 5.14

Bad connection with iPhonesTerrible to connect when Bluetooth is turned on. If you didn’t refresh the connection then it would not connect..Version: 5.11

Won’t find my earbudsThe app gets stuck at the pairing stage with my active active 75ts. The earbuds connect to my phone just fine on Bluetooth so I can use them, but they have lost all functionality provided by the app like equaliser or other sound test settings. The app just keeps telling me to pair my buds with the phone and return to the app once paired, but then the app does nothing. I’ve already force quit the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, unpaired and paired the buds. The lack of a functioning app means my buds can only function in the most basic way..Version: 5.2

The microphone is bad can’t use for phonecallI really love this sound everything is great. The really bad is the microphone. If you use the headset to make a call that really bad sound quality. Your friend very hard to hear your voice and I never use this headset to make phone call. Furthermore the headset sound very weird when you use to make a call. Probably it can fix by next firmware. Overall this headset is for listening music only, can not use for phone call..Version: 4.12

Buggy as hell.Software has a tough time interfacing with earbuds. Half the time it doesn’t do anything it’s supposed to..Version: 5.16

App does not workI linked the earphones up to my mobile in Bluetooth connections and they work. I downloaded this app (the reason I got the earphones in the first place was to be able to switch noise cancellation on and off as needed), have tried following the steps on the app as well as guide online and no option is coming up to allow me to link the headphones to the app. It is sending me on a wild goose chase of repeating linking the earphones to my Bluetooth then re-owning the app to be given the same instructions over and over when it is already setup in Bluetooth connections and won’t allow me to proceed any further. I’m really annoyed as I will have to return them as not fit for purpose bought..Version: 4.10

Left ear bud low volume.... ANNOYINGI’m currently on my second set of the elite 75T. I returned the 1st set due to the left side being next to silent, did all the obvious tests with balance etc. Got a new set under warranty. The second pair seemed to work for the same period of the 1st set. Tech support advised to completely unpair / forget device & hold both buttons to get flashing purple lights. Repair etc. voila , the left side is balanced again , after a few days of use the same thing happens again. Google shows many people with the same issue. I don’t think it’s acceptable to have to keep repeating this process every few days. Another thing I found was to charge them with the lid open for like 3 hours after they’ve fully charged. I think a firmware update may be required. Other than that they’re the bomb diggity! Jabra - sort it out pls.Version: 4.5

Headphones are nice/Update is HORRID!!!The Elite 65t earbuds worked fine prior to the latest, October 2019, update. To be honest, my phone's battery is suffering the most due to the latest updates, which I have mentioned above. The left earbud had a horrible time syncing with the update but now it works. However, my iPhone battery is draining so rapidly that I deleted the Jabra Sound+ app just to have enough battery life to make it through the day. But get this, this happens even when the earbuds are not being used!!! Prior to the update, my phone's battery would drop to 78% every day!!! Since the update was installed, my phone's battery drops to 39% by 5:00PM; this NEVER happened, as stated above, before the update was installed. I will now try to re-download the app. I hope this corrects the problem. Regarding sound: I wish they had more depth: the treble levels are stronger than the bass levels. Therefore, melodic music and classical music have strong highs but the depth of the bass, when EQ'ed, becomes a muffled distorted addition to the track. Overall, I enjoy the product but I truly miss the Klipsch and Bose sound I enjoyed when my phone accepted headphones; now I can only use Bluetooth headphones with my new iPhone..Version: 3.6.2

Need tunesI’m getting older and love my music loud always have,I call it music that can control your heart beat still haven’t found one that can do that for you like back in the eighty’s with the big getto blaster.Version: 5.16

Jabra sound+Painful! Half the time the app cannot discover my Elite Active 75t. I would also like the option in the app to switch to which ever device you want to use, as having 2 devices connect usually it’s the wrong device I want the head sets to act with. Please put an option in the app that lets you quickly select phone or iPad or computer etc, that would be nice..Version: 4.4

Jabra elite 75tI read all the reviews about this product and was blown away. When I received it the sound was amazing and couldn’t compare to any other product in terms of clarity of sound and bass. 2 months after purchase I noticed that the left earpod stopped working and did a number of resets then exchanged it for another pair. After receiving my replacement pods, couldn’t be happier with the sound once again. Again about 2 months after receiving the replacement, the left earpod stops working. Did all the resets as I Googled all the various options including holding the buttons as well as charging the case with the flap open and removing the pods. Worked for just a few minutes then the left pod died again but for some strange reason, the hear through button still works. For the price I paid for these pods, was really expecting a much much better experience but reached the point now where I’m going to return again. Sorry Jabra, your App works just fine but the actual product and reliability of it it terrible. Horrible in fact..Version: 4.3.1

Très bienFacile d utilisation comme appli , annulation du bruit ou non accessible rapidement . Seul bémol equaliseur ne fonctionne pas vraiment , on entend pas vraiment la différence dans le son en jouant avec , c est la raison du 3 étoiles.Version: 5.18

TrackingI love the product but the tracking needs improving when I delete location data it comes straight back and would be useful if you could see the location 24/7 ( it doesn’t show useful data either and always comes up with a date about last year normally ).Version: 5.18

Overall horrible experienceSetups fail, app is slow. Requires constant disconnection and reconnection. Overall do not waste your money.Version: 5.8.1

Same issue as donaldtech8Brand new Evolve2 85. App does not find the headset. I know it senses it. The iPhone will pair with the headset independent of the app, and it can make calls and play music. During the app setup, however, it doesn’t recognize the headphones and requests a manual selection. I can have music playing, and the app will prompt to find the headphones in the Bluetooth settings. Also, while the app is attempting to recognize the headphones, the music will fade from playing. I can press the play button and restart the music. It stops several times without recognizing the headphones. Is there a solution? UPDATE: (1-day post purchase) I turned the headphones off and on while doing the app setup. The app now finds the headset. All good for now. Update 2: (1 1/2 days post purchase) The phone app will not continue recognizing the paired headphones..Version: 5.13

Its ok, needs workThe Sound+ app is ok, but only kinda works. You can change the Isolation type which is good especially if you take regular calls and move between loud and Quiet environments. Main downside is its only picks up the Headset when the app is fully closed before turning headset. Of the headset is already on the App just sits at tue pairing screen. Have also noticed after some time the widgets to change isolation and EQ will disappear. Only way to get them back is to uninstall and reinstall the app. 3 star as when app works its works nicely but can be a task to get there. Also customer service for Jabra and App issues isn’t great. The person/s i spoke too made the issue i have worse, and i had to self solve to fix that before getting back to the initial reason for contacting. And was treated like I don’t know what headphone or a PC is with condescending and rude emails..Version: 5.18

AVOID! Breaks your 65t ear buds!I’ve been having major issues with a pair of 65t earbuds I bought less than 6 months ago from Jabra. The volume in the left earbud was always dramatically lower than the right (out of balance), and there was zero bass from the left too. Contacted Jabra support who just suggested re-installing firmware, then they went unresponsive when that didn’t work. Solution was the flash the earbuds with firmware using this app, then delete the app BEFORE turning your earbuds back on/getting them out the case. This fixed the problem and now I have perfectly working Jabra 65t’s again :) In short AVOID THIS APP - until the developers fix this issue!.Version: 3.2

App crashes every time it opensThe app crashes every time it opens. This is not the first version to do this, despite claimed support for this OS..Version: 5.18

The tracking doesn’t work perfectlySo today i lost my earbuds at work so i go ahead and use the app to find them but it doesn’t work at all even though i allowed it to track me always so it showed that it was at a place that i haven’t visited in a month so because of that i lost permanently my earbuds because of it this is a problem that should quickly be fixed.Version: 5.13

Circumvents In-App Ratings & Reviews settingThe app circumvents Apple's In-App Ratings & Reviews setting (Settings>App Store) and presents the user with pop-up messages requesting the user rate the app on the App Store even when the users has opted out. Here you go, Jabra, here is a review..Version: 5.16

I dig itI love the options the app gives you. After watching 4 reviews of the Jabra I gave them a try. I was impressed! Great sound. Great app.Version: 5.14

Not very reliableThe app the the headset itself have proven unreliable from time to time. Sometimes its connected and you can controll the headset via app and still audio will play on the phone speaker. Sometimes it works fine but not 30-40% of the times. So overall I wouldn’t recommend jabra headset to anyone , very overpriced. I purchased for 350$ and after 2 months the higher up model was selling for $149, not very reputable strategy.Version: 5.0

Faulty firmware / softwareHi All, Elite 65T is one of the best headphones I have ever had. I was a happy user for around 3 months. Out of the sudden my left bud started fading away few minutes after recharged. When I put them on it was working beautifully for minute or two and gradually the sound volume of the left bud goes down until it completely stops. After a charge it worked fine so it is not a hardware issue. The app showed them both fully charged even when the left fails. To me that’s a clear software or firmware issue. Anywho.. I read in forums people experiencing the issue mentioned that after exchange with new pair as long as we DO NOT install that app or UPDATE the firmware they work fine. My pair was exchanged with a new one and I’m scared to install that and “fiddle” with their firmware or software with that app. I’ll just use them with their factory setup. So far they work great and they are much louder than the faulty one. Cheers .. no offence Jabra but you need to work harder when you have £160+ taps out there!.Version: 2.7.4

Nice app but needs functionality to manually update latest firmwareThe Sound+ app appears to be work well with my Elite 7 Active. However, my earbuds were shipped with an old firmware. I’ve tried to search for the latest firmware update but it is still not available on the app. I need the latest firmware which supports multi device connectivity. The app needs to be able to manually check for the latest firmware and allow the user to update at any time. If I can’t update the firmware, I will be returning the earbuds..Version: 5.9.1

MehApp is just average. Sound quality if my Jabra Elite Active 65t is great but it’s a shame they aren’t optimised for wearable devices eg Garmin Fenix watch series. Also an audible beep option on the headphones would be awesome. Mine have fallen out during exercise several times and trying to find the errant bud has proven very difficult! Even with the “find my Jabra” feature (which is pretty useless if you don’t have an active internet connection) also a less bulkier design would be nice. I have small ears and even with the smallest buds on they aren’t a good fit..Version: 3.6

Let me personalise my buttonsI want the ability to change the default tap features. Holding down 1 second for volume up/down is a bad design choice. I want the app to allow me to change it. Also I have to manually change ANC and hear-through mode to OFF instead of using the buttons. Otherwise, decent app.Version: 5.6.1

EQ Preferences not saved - DealbreakerThe problem is the app doesn’t save or retain the selected EQ Preset. Dealbreaker. I have the Elite 3. The Sound Modes section of the app has 6 Music Presets for hard-coded (by Jabra) settings of a 5 band EQ. The 6 Presets have labels like Neutral, Speech, Treble Boost, etc. When I take the buds out of the case to start a new listening session, the Sound+ app takes a few seconds to find the Elite3’s, and the Sound Mode in the app has changed back to the default value of “Neutral”. WWWHHHYYY? This is ridiculous. EQ should be a one-time configuration setting that is saved in the app and in the headphones. The user should not be required to manually put this back where they want it, every time they listen to their music. Now…the confusing part is that the headphones actually appear to retain the EQ setting, at least for short durations of being in the charging case. I repeated the following test a few times with the same outcome: listened to music with the EQ set to “Treble Boost”. Put the buds back in the case for 1 minute. Take the buds out and start listening to music. The buds still sound like “Treble Boost” but the Sound+ app says the EQ settings is “Neutral”. Change the EQ setting to “Treble Boost” and there is no change to sounds from the buds (since the buds had remained in “Treble Boost”). Change the EQ setting to “Neutral” and the sounds then changes to Neutral. Confusing and totally unacceptable. You never know what you are getting for EQ by looking at the Sound+ app. There is no info on this in the User Manual. I haven’t yet tested this to see what happens if the buds are totally shut off, or after being in the case for an extended period of time. A prior comment from Jabra on a similar complaint suggests the earphone EQ will reset if powered down (vs retain EQ if in the charge case?) This would be a complete dealbreaker for any larger over the ear BT headphones with a power button that gets turned on only when used (Jabra office headsets: I won’t be buying you). Other buds for sure don’t have this bug (eg; Sony XM4)..Version: 5.14

Annoying low battery warning at 15% makes it unusableInsane low battery beeps or voice that kicks in at 15% and will be screaming every minute from each bud independently, interfering with what you are listening. It can last for hours (if you have enough patience). The option in the app to turn it off isn’t working for some reason and will switch to that annoying voice again. Tried writing to support. Completely useless. The only thing the girl in support told me was, “It’s the main function.” Really? I didn’t realise that the low battery warning is Jabra’s main function….Version: 5.14

Active 65t does not connect to appThe functionality of this app would be great if it only connected with my Active 65t. Similar experience as previous reviews whereby it initially connects with the headphones the first couple of times but subsequently fails to connect to the app. Headphones are paired with the phone and work great. As previously suggested, no power optimisation is on and wifi signal is strong..Version: 3.4.1

Sound+ jabaThe custom eq doesn’t remain as default when restated. 👎🏻.Version: 5.13

Beware: extremely buggy performance on iPhoneAfter I sold the Jabra Elite 85h because of buggy performance on iPhone when connected to two devices (dropouts etc.), I just wanted to give a second chance to Jabra when I looked for a new headset for work. This morning I unboxed the Jabra Evolve2 65 MS headset, connected it to my PC, updated firmware through Jabra Direct and voila, everything worked flawlessly. Then I wanted to connect it to my iPhone 11 Pro Max running on latest iOS 14.6. The headphones paired and everything worked (music, calls, MS Teams…) EXCEPT your very own Sound+ App that cannot recognize your very own Jabra Evolve2 65 that shows up regularly on the list of my phone’s Bluetooth devices. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME! In your answers to other users encountering the same issue you advise to turn off, restart etc. and YES, there is a workaround to make the headphones appear for a limited time, until iOS kicks the Sound+ app out of the memory. Then, when you re-enter the app it’s the same story all over again. Ridiculous!.Version: 4.11.1

Just OkayHad these buds and have used this app for over a year now. I do like the sound quality and the inner ear configuration cuts out surround noise, hard stop. But the app and firmware updates make using that feature trouble some. When placing buds in case for storage they automatically turn on during recharge/storage and will reconnect the Bluetooth signal as the primary source. Which is trouble some when listening or watching sources with the phones speaker. And the app takes a minutes to recognize the buds to enable some of the features ie Hear Thorough Mode. It also seems like recent updates have cut out sound while listening to anything after turn on the hear through mode. But not the guy in charge of fixing that so guess I’ll see it that is corrected at a later date. Oh forgot to note these were used with an IPhone X and now a 12 Plus. But with all that said the buds are okay but not sure I would purchase again if lost, damaged, or stolen..Version: 4.12

Doesn’t even support it’s own devicesHave a evolve 75 l, not detected. Not listed anywhere. Can’t use it. Only used the mobile app because the pathetic desktop app won’t work without an internet connection and is blocked by work network. Dreadful software from this company. Shame. Headphones are ok..Version: 4.12

ANC disactivatesThe active noise cancelling switches to HearThrough at random times..Version: 5.17

Great at first. In the Jane’s app it only recognizes the right ear bud. After about 5 minutes the sound gets to low to hear. Don’t buy..Version: 5.16

Jabra had great potential but lack of support and creativityJabra Earphone still have the bug with iOS with two devices connected and keep losing temporary the connection. As for App work but no innovation or new feature since I bought my Jabra Elite Active 75T many year ago. At this price rang, I was hoping they can fix and improve with the possibility to upgrade firmware but like other companies they keep changing model instead of fixing or supporting the old model..Version: 5.16

Good at firstGreat app until it would no longer pair with 85h headphones. Headphones on and connected to phone, app tells me I need to turn on and connect my headphones. Would be a good app if fixed. But worthless as is..Version: 4.11

One connection wonderUsing this app with Evolve 65t ear buds. I have only managed to connect them to the app on the first run after install. The app fails to connect to the ear buds after every subsequent use. I have reinstalled the app and reproduced this behaviour. Pity. There's some good features I'd like to use in the app. The buds themselves work well with the phone..Version: 3.3

Very bad piece of softwareHave a designs the headset, the driver that allows a phone to connect and this application. Yet, even if they manage the whole chain, this is still a piece of junk..Version: 5.16

Useless appKept going round in circles trying to pair the app and my headset with my phone. Gave up & deleted the app!.Version: 5.2

Won’t pair with deviceHave tried multiple times, my headphones (75t) are connected to my device and work. The app however hasn’t found them at all and even when they’re connected tells me to go into settings and connect and then re-open the app. I have tried removing and reinstalling and it refuses to recognise the connected Jabra 75t headphones in anyway and has therefore made this app redundant to me as I’m unable to use. I’ve seen this same error has affected others too. Hoping there is a solution available soon?.Version: 4.10

SidetoneI have to and still could not to disable the annoying sidetone. The only sneaky way to do so is via app which doesnt work when connecting my headset to pc anc on pc my IT dept struggle to install it because of security measures. Why to have this sidetone "feature" (or rather I would call it bug) enabled by default forcing your users to install the SW at first place? And why there is no swith off function on the headset directly? I would never bought jabra by myself because of this sidetone thing..Version: 5.4

Yet another useless update for IOS usersThis pointless software just clogs up your device . My iPhone has my headset pair and it works fine . The stupid software doesn't detect it , so all the wonderful feature they brag about are of no use. A bit like the software developers . I have been complaining for yrs and zero response ! The only way the software works is to cable it to a windows 10 device . They should be ashamed for how much these devices cost.Version: 5.6.1

Takes forever to detect/‘configure’ Elite 85t’sThe app is great for the most part; however frequently on startups, it takes a long time to detect my Elite 85t’s; I’m then forced to close the app, start over and hope it finally detects my earbuds..Version: 4.12

Volume earbud imbalanceI’ve had the Jabra Elite 65t for 3 months and they were the best wireless earbuds. Only a couple of days ago, my right earbud started playing music at a low volume while he left volume would be loud. Occasionally, there would be a “hissing” sound through the right one. Idk if the earbuds are damaged or there’s a fault in the software. I’ve checked online and there’s a lot of people complaining about the same thing. Please look into this because I love these earphones and it would be a shame if this issue wasn’t fixed or clarified by the developers. Thanks :).Version: 2.5

Latest version(s) are a hot messA few days or a week ago I attempted to update my Jabari Elite 65T’s through the App. The update gets to -50% compete before it cancels... then tries to update again every single time I take the buds out of their case or turn them off, then on again. Each time the update takes a few minutes , gets about halfway done and fails and there is no way to just cancel it. This affects whatever I’m trying to listen to as well as the call that I’m tying to answer. Today, Jabra had an update that was supposed to fix the problem, but made it much worse. Instead of getting stuck 1/2 way and cancelling, the update gets all the way complete and I get a notice to put the bids in the case to complete the update. Once in the case, the light blinks purple, as it should and then stops, as it should. When I take the buds back out, the update that already happened starts all over again and cannot be cancelled. This happens every time. The buds update the same update every time I take them out of the case... infuriating..Version: 2.4.3

Complete disaster - doesn't work at allThis is a hopeless app. I've paired my iPhone 11 Pro (running iOS 15.1) with the Evolve2 65 headset via Bluetooth. It shows as connected in the Bluetooth menu. I launch this app and it can't find the pairing. Tells me to pair the devices then come back to the app, but the devices are already paired. The app just blatantly does not find the headset and keeps asking me to select my model from a list, then tells me to pair it with the phone that's it's already paired with. Tried force-quitting the app, turned headset off, launched app, turned headset on...app still doesn't detect it. What an exercise in utter frustration. I can't give this any more than a one star review because it simply doesn't work..Version: 5.2

No Battery NotificationsWhile the app does well with the equaliser and anc settings it fails with the basic taps of providing battery notifications. The earbuds only warn you when you are down to 10%, however there is no notification at all for the case. This has resulted in the buds not being charged time and time again, usually leaving me with the buds running out of charge 10mins into a gym session or walk. Fixing this issue would change this to 5 stars, but with such a fundamental function being missing 2 has to be maximum..Version: 5.12

Okay but not greatApp only connects with the headphones intermittently. Headphones stop playing music on the phone when the laptop has a pop-up notification. The greatest value headphones could provide in the modern office environment is 100% blockage of other human voices but this objective is nullified when the music and white noise is stopped because of an issue in Excel that is also visible and does not require redundant notification..Version: 5.16

App never works wellI’ve used Jabra products for years and have never found the app to work that well with the product but lately, it’s gotten worse. I have the 85t earbuds (which I really like sound and fit wise), but hate that you 1) can’t see how charged your earbuds are until you turn them on and look at the app, as the app won’t show your case or earbud charge unless you have your earbuds out of the case and on; which is made worse because 2) the app only shows my earbuds as connected (despite them working while connected to the same phone the app is on) about half the time now and won’t let me re-pair them despite doing all the suggested troubleshoot steps & being able to listen to the earbuds. This means I can’t use any of the features of the app to adjust the earbuds while in use, and it’s always a guess the true battery charge of my case and buds..Version: 5.2

Just okayIt does what it should but no more. It would be a good idea to have better personalization and support. You can’t rename your device so it is quicker to identify on machines at the gym for example and it would be nice to see suggestions for connecting to multiple devices. Not a bad app but not a great app. The ear buds on the other hand are my favorite buds and I have a fair few in my collection..Version: 4.6.1

InconsistentI hate having to set my preferences every time I start up the headphones..Version: 5.13

Support unusableI would like to know what kind of imbecile implemented the support page. It is unusable on ipad because the tabs do not activate the virtual keyboard in order to fill the requested information. Instead you have some obscure option to scan text. I never seen anything that ridiculous in ages. I have a set of ear buds with no sound coming our of the right side while every other function work and I am unable to contact the support on my ipad because of this non sense..Version: 5.8.1

HearThrough feature unsatisfactoryHeadphones are good (Elite Active 65t). I’ve noticed occasional 1-2 second dropouts while on walks/runs. Other than that I am pleased with fit and sound quality. HOWEVER, The app is a bit of a nightmare. I’ve never been able to control HearThrough since purchase—no slider for adjusting. I also had to download app twice and reset the headphones after the most recent firmware upgrade. After I upgraded firmware, the slider for the Call Sidetone setting vanished. So I was without control for both that and the HearThrough features. Lucky that the Sidetone controller came back after deleting the app, fully resetting the headphones, restarting iPhone and then reinstalling app. I’m still without the control of HearThrough, though. From reading other reviews it looks like this has been a chronic problem for a year or more. Please fix this glitch. App gets 2 stars (barely). Headphones themselves 4 stars..Version: 2.7.1

Good, but...I have been a user of this product for years and, for the most part, does as advertised. One thing that really bothers me is the save feature for different scenarios. I walk my dog daily and use only the right earbud. For some reason the app will not let me save the hear through option. This forces me to mess with the app every morning. Such a small thing to fix but they just tell me over and over again that the developers are working on it. UPDATE: The developer is missing my point. I want to save the hear-through setting on the app so that when I open the app, I don’t need to remember to switch on hear-through every time. NOTE to developer: Take the time to really understand the review before giving a response that does not address the problem. Let me be more clear: The app WILL NOT save the hear-through setting on the app. NOT IN THE DEVICE, THE APP!.Version: 4.4

Earbuds won’t turn offThe earbuds never turn off when not used, if they aren’t used they go into sleep mode. I don’t want them to go into sleep mode, I want them off automatically in order to save battery life. It would be great if they had the option to turn off after not using them for 30 mins (instead of pressing both earbud buttons to manually turn off). Sometimes I put them in the charging case and sometimes they don’t charge properly and therefore the battery dies. I need an alert/notification that my earbud’s battery is low and that they need charging please. Otherwise the earbuds need the ability to automatically turn off (not sleep). I also need an alert that notifies me when they are charging/fully charged please. Apart from the earbuds not charging sometimes when I put them in the case, the app is user friendly..Version: 4.8

Great Earbuds - not so great appEarbuds really are amazing and worth every penny but unfortunately the app keeps forgetting the buds which mean I keep having to pair them again. This wouldn’t be so bad if the app paired easily but it doesn’t - I keep getting a ‘failed to download information’ message. Without the app I can’t use Hear Through or any of the other functions. Once this bug is fixed it’ll be a 5* review..Version: 3.3.1

Functions well but pushes advertsApp functions well but has started pushing ads. I’ve had to disable notifications for this app. You may need to do the same..Version: 5.2

CrapTerrible product and app. I’ve owned a number of Jabra pairs and they’ve gotten progressively worse over time. They never connect, never charge properly. Absolutely trash..Version: 5.16

Great to begin with...however later will experience a sound imbalanceI have had my earphones for a couple of months now and they seemed to work great! The sound quality and performance were all working amazingly. However I’ve started to notice couple days ago that the right key earbud has a more muffled sound compared to the left earbud. Even when you turn up the volume to the highest, you can notice the left one being definitely more louder. I’ve searched this issue and saw multiple complaints from back in mid 2018 with the same issue. They clearly have not resolved this issue for a while now with all their firmware updates. Its quite disappointing as I enjoyed it a lot in the start. Would definitely recommend IF they resolved this issue!.Version: 3.4.1

App makes my headphones not workI love these headphones! Everything about them is great. However, over the past few months I cannot get them to turn on and off properly. Instead of beeping twice and turning off, they beep twice followed by a triple beat that I have not heard previously. I have the latest firmware installed & the latest app version, but nothing would fix it. I even took apart the case thinking it might be some sort of connection issue to the case, but I found nothing. Finally, I had to uninstall and reinstall the app & now they work perfectly. I enjoy the functions of the app, but it really isn’t feasible to have to do this daily in order to get the headphones to work properly. I’ve searched online, and I cannot seem to find anyone else experiencing this. Maybe it’s just me, but I wanted to leave this bit here in case anyone else has this issue!.Version: 3.6.2

UnreliableHear-through no longer works..Version: 5.1

Evolve2 85 Headset seems fine. Software is crapEvolve 2 85 headset seems to work fine with my PC and iPhone. The Jabra software on iPhone is horrible. I managed to get the headphones to pair once with the software and that was it. Every other time I have connected since (many over the last few days since I got the headset) the software doesn’t recognize the headset. The iPhone fortunately does recognize the headset and it seems to work fine regardless of the Jabra software. Without the software on my iPhone I guess I cannot create my own profile. Not sure if that is a big deal or not since I can still cycle though the different modes (ANC, hear through and off). The Jabra on my PC recognizes the Jabra Link 380 and my headset. I know the firmware is up to date according to the Jabra software on my PC. Disappointing experience on my iPhone considering the cost of this headset..Version: 4.12

Difficult to switch between devicesI love my 75ts, but it’s such a hassle to switch between my mobile and laptop. With my previous earbuds with one click on a button and then a click on my phone/laptop and I was good to go. With these I literally have to forget the device on my phone/laptop and then re-pair them to my device for them to pair because for some reason pairing them regularly just won’t work? Like I just want to be able to listen to music on my phone then switch back to listening to tv shows on my laptop where I have a bigger screen to watch them without dealing with this hassle. And now the app, why does it automatically forget my earbuds when I connect it to a different device? I have to restart my earbuds every time I reconnect to my phone and want to reconfigure my earbuds. It’s quite annoying..Version: 5.0

Decent, but EQ is buried & customization too limitedThe new app (ver 2.0.1.6 released April 2018) is better in some ways, but worse in others. The good (at least in theory): now there are several profiles for different listening environments. The bad: only one profile is customizable – which is the only one that’s really useful to me anyway due to the lack of customization on the others, and worse, it now makes you go through more steps to reach the equalizer and HearThrough options. Frustrating, since I have to change the EQ twice daily, once for normal daytime listening and once at night to fully lower all frequencies to reduce overall volume as much as possible. (Even with volume set to 1% on iPhone via Siri, the Elite 65t is still too loud for nighttime listening.) The other improvement is that the app now recognizes instantly when you turn HearThrough (ambient sound) on or off via your headset. This wasn’t working before. The app retains its clean, simple, appealing look. Just needs quicker access to options, and more options. Doesn’t seem hard to fix..Version: 2.0.1

App does not sync with headsetFirstly, each time I use my Jabra Evolve 85 headset I have to try to manual pair it to the app - it’s disappointing that the app cannot automatically connect after the initial configuration. Secondly, I often find that despite my headset being connected to my iPhone and working within teams calls, the app stats that there is no headset connection. Often I find that I am unable to sync/manage my headset via the app as a result. For such a powerful headset, it’s extremely disappointing that I am unable to properly utilise and personalise its features due to the application often failing to sync with my headset..Version: 4.10

Unusable, won’t connect!Jabra Evolve2 85 for work. This isn’t about them (they require a whole other critique!). I cannot get the app to recognise the headset. I’m tech savvy. And Bluetooth isn’t all that complicated, but I know it sometimes can be picky. The Bluetooth connection to the phone is fine. Headset works. But connecting to the app? Nigh on impossible. And then on the single occasion I got the app to recognise the headset, it then disconnected when I connected the headset to the laptop. Never to reconnect again. For a device that claims it can work seamlessly between two devices, it’s doing a terrible job. It should not take rounds of on/off install/uninstall pair/unpaid to try and get a Bluetooth device to be recognised by the app associated with it. Trash. Garbage. Avoid. Given I need it to work seamlessly between personal phone and work laptop with all the features available, it’s likely these very expensive headphones will be returned as unfit for purpose..Version: 5.11

BalanceNeed a control.Version: 5.16

It’s OkayThe eq adjustments are good. It’s annoying having to reboot the app and wait for eternity before it connects to the device..Version: 5.13

Fails to identify paired earbudsUsing this with Elite 65t earbuds and the app frequently says that it cannot identify the paired earbuds. So annoying.Version: 3.3.1

Ok but needs more control. The app doesn’t allow fine enough control over what I hear and when. It would work totally fine for 99% of people but I have hyperaccusis and need to explicitly cut out specific frequencies from external sources AND calls or music. It’s better than most but there should be “Advanced” options that their developers would totally have access to instead of the very basic ones. I need 100% control of my soundscape but the app doesn’t acknowledge my disability and give me extra control..Version: 5.4

Left earbud quietJabra Elite 65t. my left earbud went really quiet all of a sudden. i know this doesn’t relate to the app per se but i’m still providing this feedback. the same problem is apparently widespread as i’ve found many comments online. it’s unfortunate as this is otherwise a really good product. UPDATE: i fixed it by cleaning with a toothpick inside the mic hole near the 2 copper contacts on the ear bud. they sound amazing again! BUT I feel there should be a disclaimer written in the manual about keeping this hole clean. i could have saved hours of digging around on forums.. ALSO: under the rubber molding inside the case, 2 silver magnets tend to become unglued and roll around loosely which causes problems. this too is a widespread problem as the adhesive is done poorly. i fixed it by pulling the rubber right out of the case and re-gluing the silver magnets. CONCLUSION: it seems maintaining these over time becomes a diy project. fixing the issues isn’t terribly difficult. just know that they will probably need maintenance over time..Version: 3.4.1

Doesn’t recognise headset with more than one Bluetooth sound device connectedI’ve got issue where the app doesn’t see my headset, I’ll have to turn all other connected devices that has “sound” off for the app to see my headset... and it includes my smart watch! The moment I turn them back on and open the app, it cannot see my connected headset again.Version: 4.10

App is garbage.Just got my active 75t and Bluetooth pairing was super easy. However, I cannot for the life of me connect to this app. I follow all the steps and it keeps telling me to pair up with Bluetooth first than reopen the app. Complete trash..Version: 4.8

A bit disappointing.Still a bit buggy. I’ve had to uninstall and reload it twice to restore the soundscape options, which mysteriously disappeared. I’d like a few more facilities, like balancing the hear-through level against other sources — whatever the slider is supposed to do, it seems rather ineffective. And it takes a while to learn how to navigate the app to get to all the facilities, but hey, it looks pretty..Version: 5.17

Worst earbuds ever. Their product is defected [do not purchase]I got my earbuds recently and didn’t really start using them for a few weeks until I got my Netflix and it worked fine for just a day and then rumbling and tapping noice started coming out of the left bud and then from both buds. I tried all possible solutions with no luck. The ANC and Hear through make these noises. I tried solutions with no luck, resetting the device and firmware. When I was searching online about the issue I got thousands of people having the same issues for years. How can this be possible for a company like Jabra? Jabra clearly don’t care about their customers. It’s a dubious company. They pretend to care and will leave you a reply on Reddit and ask you to message them on Facebook, Twitter or through their online form but you won’t ever get a reply Since I spend so much energy after paying this much money. I’ll spend equal amount spreading awareness that not to ever buy anything from JABRA. If you value your time and money that is..Version: 5.16

Jabra Elite SportNot sure why this app isnt compatible with Most Expensive Jabra Elite Sport! Jabra Sport App is useless as you can not adjust any things for music equaliser etc.! Reply : yes i use sport life app however it does not have all the great features what this app offering so disappointed with Jabra . i even think ing of resell EliteSport and get the 65t instead because of the App support.Version: 2.8

Continual re-pairing requiredUnsure why this keeps happening, but the ‘Find my Jabra’ function keeps failing and when I follow the instructions to re-pair the headphones to the app it doesn’t seem to work (including having to remove the existing Bluetooth connection from my phone). The only way I’ve been able to re-pair them to the app is to delete the app and re-install which isn’t ideal. When they are not paired to the app, all of the functionality falls away too (I.e hear through settings and Equaliser etc).Version: 3.3.1

Faulty headphones with a frustrating appThe hear through and ANC functions are bad fresh out of the box and then fully updated they make a rumbling noise like you are standing in a breeze even when inside in a completely silent room with no air movement. Have had two sets replaced under warranty but they have all had the exact same issue on opposite headphone L/R. Additionally the hear through and ANC turn themselves back on even when disabled in the app and the touch controls for this function are not set..Version: 5.16

FrustratingWhy does the welcome tutorial pop up EVERY time I connect my device? If you want to leave it accessible via the menu, fair enough, but don't have it pop up every single time and make me skip through it before I can access any settings..Version: 5.16

Sent work evolve2 65 head setSimple really. It never finds the evolve 2 65 head set. I have the headset working on my computer fine. It’s also connected to my iPhone 12 mini via Bluetooth just fine. But the app lacks the ability to identify that this headset is connected so I miss out on its features. Also if I walk out of range of my computer, the headset breaks the Bluetooth to my phone. So I listen to music on my phone, go to the kitchen with my phone and headset, but as soon as the computer is out of range, it messes up the Bluetooth to my phone which is in my hands, therefore stops my music..Version: 4.12

Constant harassmentThe app has nothing special in terms of features the existence of it could be questioned if one does not care about an equaliser. HOWEVER, the app has been running Black Friday promotions through notifications through notifications for a while. I already paid for the product (the last time this brand will see my money because of this btw) so I should not need to be subject to their adds through notifications. Really cheap move that will see me move to another brand as soon as these earphones reach the end of the line..Version: 5.9.1

Wow!I really love the Jabra Elite 85t head set. The app sometimes works efficiently and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I open it and it goes directly to the controls applicable to my head set and sometimes it hangs up on configuring head set... For minutes. Frustrating. Sometimes I can change sound modes from OFF to HearThrough to Active Noise Cancellation.... And sometimes I can't. And the sound mode chosen when I open the app seems to be random. Which doesn't really matter unless I'm on low battery and it comes up in ANC and I can't turn it off. A little frustrating. Maybe I have the app configured in a weird way but I have played around with the settings and have not found a combination that provides a more predictable result..Version: 4.12

Not working as advertisedI can pair my Elite 3 earbuds to my phone and use them, but the app doesn’t work properly. When initially pairing, the Quick Start Guide doesn’t load anything, so I had to skip that. Then on the allow notifications prompt, I tap Allow, the pop up shows up and I confirm, but the app doesn’t progress past that screen. Tapping Allow again doesn’t do anything so I have to tap Not Now to move on. Then on the main screen, the only widgets are the Hear-Through toggle and the preset EQs, not the Soundscape. Under the Discover tab, the Allow Notifications card is still there and tapping Allow doesn’t do anything. Tapping the Quick Start Guide card just turns the arrow into a spinning loading icon but nothing ever happens. Under the Information tab, all the links work except the Jabra Support link. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere to register the earbuds for the warranty. When I disconnect and reconnect the earbuds from Bluetooth, the main screen only cycles through the identifying device and configuring device screens without ever connecting. Force quitting/restarting the app, uninstalling/reinstalling the app, restarting my phone, forgetting and re-pairing the earbuds, and factory resetting the earbuds gives the same results. I’m using iOS 15.7.1..Version: 5.9.1
