A Life SaverThis app is beyond amazing. I had severe chronic pain from a sciatic nerve being pinched to the point I couldn’t even get out of a chair because it hurt so much. Eight weeks of using the app has seen me walking every day, I’m off all heavy duty pain medication and I’ve even gone back to yoga. It’s been a life saver - literally. If you’ve reached the end of the road with chronic pain, this program is as good as they claim..Version: 4.1

Learning to let go!I’ve had a roller coastal ride trying to find someone who could tell me why I hurt everywhere in my body. I’ve met with more than 15 specialists and they kept telling me, “everything is normal”. Pretty upsetting I’ll tell you when your experiencing crucial pain! Anyway I met a young intern at a hospital and while he was taking my history, he asked “do you have anxiety and chronic pain?” I told him I couldn’t find anyone who could help me. This young intern told me about a doctor who specializes in Tension Myositis Syndrome. I became so excited that finally I’ll have a doctor who would understand what I’m telling her without feeling like I’m crazy. She recommended Curable to me and said it would help me. The first time I did an in depth meditation I ended up crying. The relief I felt was like walking on a cloud. This app it well worth the money it cost. Beside, you’re investing in you. Excellent appI’ve been using a similar service to heal from nervous system dysfunction with some degree of success, however this app is far more comprehensive and feels much more personalised. Worth trying!!This app is well worth trying for a chronic pain condition. I suffered TMJ pain for 18mths and tried everything and most things worked for a short time (a day or 2, or a week or so) but the pain always came back. It is not a quick fix but definitely helps you rethink your pain. I don’t like paying for apps but this has been worth it, it was charged as 1 annual fee though, not a monthly payment..Version: 4.12

Changing My LifeThe curable app is changing my life. I have struggled with chronic pain for about four years along with a significant amount of anxiety and depression that has affected my life for the negative. It has been particularly frustrating because I eat well - I am in school for integrative nutrition but still couldn’t find a natural cure. I’ve been in therapy for a year and a half but nothing has helped me more than this app. I feel like I’ve had several years of therapy in just a few short weeks. This app is able to get to the heart of the matter while providing helpful tools to get you where you are going. I love the person computer assistant. That may be one of my favorite parts. I like that they tailor the program to your needs and the assistant makes it just personal enough. I think it’s easier to make progress when the therapist in a sense isn’t real. It’s also easier to go deeper in my own home. I can spend a few hours or a few minutes in the app and I always come out with something helpful. Chronic painI’ve had chronic neck pain since 2007. Had MRI and scans but the docs can’t find anything wrong. I’ve had to use paracetamol regularly to stop the pain. Been using Curable for 3 weeks and with no change in lifestyle, diet I’ve only had 1 flare up. This is very interesting because nothing else has ever worked. A life changer - literallyI woke up this morning and genuinely wondered if this app had all been a dream because I still can’t figure out how it’s had such a profound impact on my life in such a short time. Until recently I’ve had a migraine almost constantly, hovering over me waiting to make work, relationships and socialising that much harder. Medications sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t, and then along came this app and everything’s changed. Through a mix of education, meditation, brain training and writing it’s helped me to understand how pain works, removed the fear, and reduced the severity and frequency of my migraines more than any of the medications I’ve taken. Amazing!!! I’d given up!These guys were a game changer to me, after receiving the news that I had an “incurable” neurological condition which caused me so much pain and suffering. I was looking for a pill, a procedure or any other medical intervention and there wasn’t one. This app made a whole lot of difference to me - and the team are fantastic. At the helm someone who truly understands pain. Fantastic app, can't recommend highly enough!I found my way to Curable through a Facebook ad, while recovering from a car accident, and it remains the only time a Facebook ad has ever been useful! I have chronic pain with migraines and scoliosis anyway, and have had a few injuries and accidents along the way since I've been using it too. The information in there is super helpful, well researched and delivered in an easy to access, supportive manner. It's definitely helped minimise my pain over time and make me feel more in control. I use it almost every day when I have flare ups and it is the best pain reliever I have found including anti-inflammatories and pain meds. Thank you, Curable! Time for a changeI’ve just started using curable app after spine surgery failed and left me with chronic nerve pain. I’m a life long mediator, so those resources are not new to me , but the brain science is fascinating and keeping a curious mind is one path to healing. I love the pod casts. At first I avoided the written exercises, as I’m not keen on “navel gazing”, but did two of them today and understand the value. Game changer!This app and the science behind it is a game changer in understanding and curing chronic pain. Within days, it dramatically increased the quality of my life, and I can’t think of a single greater purchase for my entire well-being. I’ve had chronic, lower back, pelvic and hip pain for the last 12 years. The pain has been constantly present for the last 4, especially first thing in the morning. I’ve seen chiros, physios, osteos, naturopaths, medical doctors, massage therapists, and I’ve religiously followed their exercises only to see mild improvement for short periods and a general downward trend. I was desperate and stumbled on this app two months ago. It has changed my life. The morning stiffness is largely gone. And I’ve gone from varying degrees of constant pain to no pain for most of the day, even days on end. When I first started, the exercises and meditations blew my mind. I’d start in intense pain and stiffness with greatly reduced flexibility, and 15 minutes later I felt no pain, no stiffness and much better mobility. Highly recommendCurable has some great free resources and I’ve found those like the podcasts super interesting and informative. RecommendI love this app. I’ve suffered from migraines for many years and for the first time in my life I feel like I have control over my pain, in large part by understanding it & understanding how it can be exacerbated. The frequency of my migraines has reduced as well as their duration when they come on. The app is easy to use and full of; guided meditations, scientific information, little bits of CBT & expressive writing. I never thought anything could be this helpful and am SO happy I found it. I love this app! It does what it says!This app is so good! If you have any uncontrollable pain, or even a persistent discomfort, this app can help you. There is a wealth of knowledge that helps you understand that your brain is what tells us that we have pain. All pain originates in our brain - this does NOT mean the pain is in our heads, but that our brains generate the amount of pain we feel. We can also change our brain’s response to something that has caused us pain, and therefore reduce the pain. Knowledge is power, and in this case it is a scientifically proven, therapeutic way to reduce pain. I also love the recovery stories and expert interviews. There is guided meditation to help you relax (not my favorite because I don’t like her voice - I use a different exercise app), writing activities, and brain training. The only thing I wish were improved was that there would be more education and brain training into opportunities. For me, these alone helped get rid of my pain. It also reduced or eliminated other uncomfortable sensations I was feeling in my body (e.g., a really weird metallic/sour taste in my mouth I experienced for 9 months with no other medical explanation). I really think it was stress, and this app took it away for me! Please don’t hesitate to buy this app. It is worth it’s weight in gold (and cost of medical and psychotherapy sessions)!.Version: 4.13

Excellent-highly recommendedSuffered from neck pain for around 2 years. After I discovered it could be TMS which is basically a mind created pain with no actual damage to my neck I came across curable. This app takes you through the process in a very clear structured way and keeps you on track with all you need to cure yourself. Life changing appI can’t express in words how grateful I am to have stumbled upon this app a year ago. It changed my life. I am healed. I suffered with chronic foot pain from a running injury 10 years ago and off and on shoulder pain from a car accident 5 years ago. I started using the app a few times a day- along with using Nicole Sachs techniques (journal speak). My pain slowly decreased over the course of 6 months. It blows my mind. I am so beyond grateful. I am tearing up writing this because it really did save my life. The pain I was once obsessed with is now gone. Chronic painI found curable at a time when I was desperate. I was willing to try anything to help get alleviate this pain as I was pushed aside by physios and my scan came back clear. I was told it was all in my head. I was getting burning stinging pain from the waist down. It started off in the back before it just spread. Curable not only helped my understand this type of pain but actually how to completely get rid of it! I was pain free for 3 months but it has come back but no where near as bad as what it was just localised in the back . I am working again on curable to get rid of it once again. The techniques you learn allow you to teach your brain that the pain is safe which rewires your brain and turns off the pain. I have learnt so much with curable and I will tell anyone who listens how powerful this is. From being skeptical to seeing first hand that it works. If you are hesitant or unsure if this will work for you. Do it. You have nothing to lose. It will be the best decision you have made. Most worthwhile app. Period.As a chronic pain sufferer for almost 30 years, I can’t thank the developers enough for this app. The information is so valuable and so overdue. I can only see this gaining momentum as time goes on as it provides a sort of “fix” for where traditional medicine is not able to identify and treat the source or root cause of ongoing pain. Thank you for the information and techniques (that have worked for at least three people I know), and the hope it gives people who have tried everything. Thank you for making it as accessible as possible (eg no unmanageable fees, program flexibility, quality of resources, etc). To anyone who is on the fence, just do it. You’ve probably already tried every treatment reasonable to your life situation. If you’re still on the fence, listen to the podcasts (Like mind, like body. Tell me about your pain.) to get a feel for the techniques used in the program. Practical and useful help to help you take control of your healthCurable has helped me control my chronic pain. Worth every pennyHonestly incredible app, it’s helped me to reduce and manage my pain more than any other health professional I’ve seen or medication I’ve taken. Excellent App, highly recommendAfter 3 months of using Curable my migraines (of many years) have improved by 50%, I still get them but not quite as often and I am able to carry on at work without feeling sick. I am very hopeful that with continued use they will disappear altogether one day. My suggestions for improvement in the app would be more meditations specifically targeting anxiety and daily stresses rather than having to keep going over gratitude, forgiveness, past experiences etc. This would encourage me to buy again when my year comes to an end..Version: 4.12

Migraines more maneagableI’ve had migraines for over 30 years. Sometimes they can wipe me out for a week, and sometimes it’s felt like I just have time to start recovering before the next one hits. It’s exhausting. Since using Curable, I have reduced severe migraines by around 80%. Normally I’d be in bed for several days each migraine, every month, several times a month. Now it’s *maybe* one day a month. I’m still getting headaches but they are less intense and I don’t seem to be getting the “migraine hangover.” I still get headaches but when I feel the warning signs I sit down & work with the App, & they either reduce in intensity or go away completely. Made a big difference, quicklyI have had debilitating back and hip pain for over a year. I did physical therapy which helped me gain function, but the pain has not resolved. My doctor didn’t know what to do. I thought maybe this is just what happens as you age and I would be stuck with this forever. One day I read about neuroplastic pain therapy and thought it was worth a shot. This app was a relatively cheap / easy way to try. Within a week my pain levels were down substantially. I am doing things I haven’t been able to do in a year. The proof is definitely in the pudding. The app is very thoughtfully put together, well designed and easy to use. It has a wide variety of exercises you can try out and it learns from your feedback what is relevant to your situation. The writing exercises are maybe not “fun” but very effective. A side benefit of using this app is resolving the issues that are manifesting as pain just makes your life better in general. This app doesn’t just help with pain, also with anxiety and depression. It’s like having a therapist in your pocket (but you’re the one doing the work/in control). If you’re wondering whether the approach used here would work for you I recommend the “Tell Me About Your Pain” podcast which accessibly explains a lot of the ideas informing this app..Version: 4.12

Curable is the best help I got in 2.5 years of foot and leg painI’m usually a western medicine person, but after 2 years of agonizing pain (started as plantar fasciitis) that left me barely able to walk or stand, I was desperate and tried curable. After dozens of doctors appts, two full rounds of physical therapy, and seriously curtailing all activity, Curable was what helped me get back to my life again. After just a few weeks i was 60-70% better and that allowed me to start being active again and I’ve slowly eased my way to 90% better. I’m mostly pain free now and working on building up to being the runner and mountain climber I once was. I can’t say enough about the techniques and thought process in this app! Finally something that helpsAfter an almost 12 month journey of chronic pain and medical treatment I found Curable. I’ve learned that what I have is neoplastic pain. Curable appI am only 3 weeks into using this app and it’s brilliant. I have suffered from chronic migraines for 10 years. My first episode in 2008 lasted 9 months and I bed was ridden for some of that. My 2018 episode lasted 8 weeks, despite being on enough medication to slay a horse. Excellent app for at home mindfulness trainingBeen using this most days for a few weeks, after seeking brain training for pain relief following back surgery. The meditations have been helpful and I can definitely notice a difference after only a few weeks, and have been in seemingly relentless pain for several months. Also useful for stress relief. It’s a little repetitive, the voice clips are copy-pasted after the introduction so this can be abit annoying once you realize you can anticipate what she is going to say next - after a while you recognize that the inflections are all identical . Overall though, a very helpful piece of technology, especially if you don’t have easy access to one on one brain training specialists!.Version: 3.3.4

Powerful knowledge, evidence-based therapy — good therapyThis app requires a subscription to gain full access. If you suffer from chronic pain, think of the subscription as just one or two co-pays to see your doctor. The relief I felt came quickly. The rest of the techniques require some practice and introspection, but relief is available. It’s all evidence-based education and techniques... no new age hokum here, just solid info and techniques from a neurological, muscular/skeletal, and psychological perspective. If you’ve done psychotherapy or any kind of mindfulness practice before, you’ll probably recognize some of the techniques. But the way they put it all together just works. I’m only part way through the course and it’s already changed my daily relationship with my pain condition..Version: 3.3.6

From couch to ultramarathonsAfter developing extreme lower back discomfort, I went from running over a dozen competitive marathons and ultramarathons to having trouble getting out of bed. I was diagnosed with an L5-S1 herniated/bulging disc in my back and tried everything I could find to help find relief. Nothing seemed to help and I became a different person, completely focused on the discomfort, worried my life was over as I defined it. 1.5 months in and my life has changed for the betterI’ve had headaches my whole life and migraines since age 22. They’ve gotten worse over the years and became chronic after I had a baby and was using medications very liberally to get through the days. I wish this was integrated into Mainstream medical thinking.Love the idea of this app. Whoever created it- thank you. I’ve only been recently using this but this is already amazing. Pain is a very delicate thing and even more so when it becomes chronic. Something needs to happen to break the cycle and quite often its not in a pill or miracle cure, but is found within one’s own mind. This is not voo doo its based on researched neuroscience. I would know, bc I suffered too but I am also a Dr. of Physical Therapy so we were taught elements of this in PT school, however, going through this myself, it’s very poweful and really works but it takes work. On the mend 👌🏽I have experienced headaches, migraines and neck pain and curable is really helping me on my way to recovery. I know it’s not going to happen over night, but I’m really understanding the tools to help me feel better. The other day, I had the worst headache, it was on a scale 9, I decided to do some Somatic tracking and deep breathing and within a couple of minutes the headache had totally disappeared. 12 months ago I could barely walk to the shops, my body would collapse from exhaustion and I would have to stay in bed for the rest of the day. Life changingAfter 15 months in agonising pain my son, a newly qualified physio said … it’s in your head mum … and told me to try Curable. I was open to it , I’d discussed pain pathways etc with him , but I’d also seen the terrible MRI scan so there was evidence and there was anxiety. I think after 2 weeks using the I was off the meds - and waking 6km plus a day… I’d been through major life changing surgery, a divorce , lock down and a house move becoming a single parent with children all in the space of 2 years … I coped with all that but my back pain floored me … it was like my body was screaming out for a change , for help . Discovering that I could rethink pain in this way …. It’s life changing . In fact it shines a light on to many aspects of your emotional life … so be prepared for a steep learning curve. I was skepticalThe curable app is not free but well worth the money spent. It’s there when you need it and there are several different options. It’s not only helpful to know why you have pain but reassuring to know it’s not as serious as it feels. When I have a migraine I sometimes wonder if I’m dying of an aneurysm so it’s helpful to stop me over dramatising. It’s nice to know someone cares and that others are in the same boat. Give it a try!!I’ve had chronic pain for over 13 yrs now with Drs and specialists saying there is nothing they can do and I just have to live on painkillers the rest of my life and I will never be able to get back to doing the things I love (running) and actually they want me to avoid all exercise including walking ! My migraines aren’t in control anymoreI had to write another review just to share how much progress I’ve seen! I’ve been taking it very slow with this app, and have been targeting one symptom at a time to see how it helps. When they do occur I’m able to stop them from getting worse and continuing on for 3 days making me cancel all plans and lay in a dark room. Reduced migrainesI purchased the app on sale in desperation when I was in the middle of an horrendous migraine. I am so glad I did! I have found it so helpful and interesting learning about pain. I now use the techniques when I feel any pain coming on and I often find it really reduces the pain and sometimes stops it in its tracks. Migraine Support and Life-Long Pain and Stress Management TechniquesAbout 3 years ago, I developed migraines that got increasingly worse and more frequent over time. I was having 2-3 per week, leaving me exhausted, frustrated, and very behind in work responsibilities. I found Curable and it was such a huge help. My RSI is gone2 years ago, I was diagnosed with repetitive stress injury in my arms, supposedly from typing too much at work. This app got me my normal life backAfter suffering a herniated disc at 27 from weightlifting I was completely lost in a haze of chronic pain. Even after being released from physical therapy and cleared to go back to work teaching I was still struggling with severe pain in my leg and back. I was still unable to stand for longer than 30 seconds, to walk more than a quarter of a mile. My job, showering, going to grocery and working out all became huge sources of pain. I was really down. Back pain recovery after surgeryThankyou to the amazing and hard working Curable team! I’m 26 and after 3 years of chronic back pain and trying everything under the sun, I’ve finally found some relief. About 8 months ago I had a spinal fusion for Spondylolisthesis (a vertebrae slipped half way out of place) and I was struggling to stop worrying about my recovery, the pain that still remained after my surgery and the painkillers I was still on. Using the curable app for the past month has meant that I haven’t needed to take any painkillers at all and my pain levels have reduced from a 6-7 to about a 2-3 most days (which is awesome!) it’s given me the confidence, motivation and mobility to keep doing the things I love. Exciting and hopefulI’ve only been using the Curable app for just under two weeks. 16 years of severe intractable facial pain and Trigeminal neuralgia and cluster headaches. 3 years of neck painI was 2 months into studying the mind body connection to my long painful journey of neck pain that ended up with cervical disc replacement. Incredibly helpfulI have referred this to my GP and physio and they are referring patients to the app. I have rheumatoid arthritis and was recovering from total knee replacement. I loved the self paced nature. It adheres to adult learning theory and offers range of actions - not too long at a time- so they are digestible. This is a great appI can’t say this app was the only reason my pain has drastically reduced (I’ll never say it’s gone but I feel like I’m in control now) but I am confident it played a significant role. I have suffer from chronic back pain since I was freshman in high school (I’m now 43). As I got older I developed other chronic issues as well but the back pain was the longest and worst of it. It’s one of the reasons I became a physical therapist. I tried numerous doctors, therapists, chiropractors etc…to find a solution to my pain throughout my life. Helpful visualisations and meditationsI have just started using this app and have already found both the information and the exercises helpful. I do however find the virtual assistant annoying in the extreme. Real healing from chronic painI was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis when I was 26. I was told I would live the rest of my life in pain and to expect it to get progressively worse. I was told there was no cure only one surgery that was too dangerous and would likely leave me worse than I was in the first place. I received injections for 4 years until I had to have the surgery due to emergency progression of the disease. I was at the point of desperation- I didn’t want to live feeling the way I had been. This app has helped me more than I have words to describe- I tried it after hearing a recommendation from Nichole Sachs’ podcast. It is life changing. Comprehensive, intuitive, brilliant and meaningful!I was curious and doing research for an approach that would give me answers. I wasn’t actually expecting much from an app but I was blown away by the ease of use, the depth and variety of educational tools and expertise the app provides. I’ve had chronic pain for too long and it became completely devastating when I broke my hip. There were complications, dislocations and all kinds of drama. But essentially it all comes down to chronic pain— more of the same but even worse. Helping me manage pain from FAI/ labral tears/ back pain - amazing!This app has been an absolute lifesaver over the past month. I was laid up in bed for 10 days not only with the pain of my congenital injury, but also with side effects of prednisone which led to excruciating muscle spasms in my quads that forced me completely out of commission because of the pain. I was on hydrocodone, but I was able to wean off of it by using this app to change my relationship with the pain and to breathe into a different mindset. Just this morning, I woke up with my back spasming, and I immediately went into fear mode. But I put on a meditation from this app, and I was able to calm my mind and my body, and therefore the pain has subsided considerably and I am able to move and function today. I also just completed the journal, and it helped calm my perspective on what lies ahead for me. I love that all of the lessons are research-based with valid scientific evidence. I hold a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Integrative Wellness, and so I understand the research that is relevant to this app since I have studied it previously. Even with that “logical” background, I am human and can still spiral into overwhelm and fear when the pain flares up. Sue UKI read Dr Sarnos book ‘The Divided Mind’ then came across this ap which appears to be based on his teachings. I love the ‘emergency’ meditation which lasts about 10 minutes. I feel as if I am going deep into my subconscious and releasing negative emotions. I also love the internal ‘talks’ reprogramming our subconscious. I’ve done a lot of crying during the journal writing. I already knew I was suffering from bad memories. But I’m feeling liberated from it and my RLS and ankle pain which I’ve had for 20 has disappeared. Initially I was going down the list and repeating exercises I’d already done until I realised I needed to press the top line to get the new lesson. Massive reduction in pain and fearI’ve been using this app for a month or so and it’s been a massive part in my recovery from severe hand, shoulder and finger pain. In conjunction with food supplements I’ve seen a marked improvement and feel positive and strong and able to think about an active future, one which I could see quickly slipping away. Didn’t know what to expectThis app has really surprised me with its variety in techniques and skills. The meditations are deeper and more intense than others I have ever done in the past, it’s kinda like therapy on steroids. I think the app does a really great job of helping you get to the root of mental, and emotional traumas, and helping to work through them in a way that feels safe and manageable. I haven’t started the writing exercises yet but I have looked at some and they seem incredibly thorough!! Mostly they seem daunting to me and I’m not ready to do that kind of work yet. The meditations, brain trainings, and education has all been so wonderful and illuminating! When I started this app a few weeks ago I was really struggling with what I feel to be long covid, fatigue, nausea, weakness, dizziness, many yucky feels. I’m not sure if it’s the app or other factors, but I am feeling notably better since I started. I highly recommend this to anyone who has chronic pain or mystery illness, or anyone who has experienced prolonged stress, trauma, or just wants to work through some stuff!! Eases my mindI have some chronic nerve pain in one arm and arthritis pain in one foot. Both of these pains had been getting me down for years. I’ve only recently started with the curable app, but already my mind is soothed - I understand that the pain that I experience does not correlate with “physical damage”, so I am able to sooth my worries away and relax into the pain, knowing that it is not dangerous. Just when I thought there was no hope…I’ve had chronic low back pain for four years. I’m 42 and was told that I had a tiny herniated disc. They didn’t understand why such a tiny thing would give me as much pain as I was feeling. I hardly sat, I was always standing. I didn’t believe that my pain was neuroplastic when I was first told. But I decided I had nothing to lose. Within one month of using the Curable app, my pain went from a seven out of 10 to a 1 or 2 out of 10 depending on the day. Hopeful for the first time in a long timeI saw an article about Curable and was skeptical - it seemed to good to be true. I’ve had back pain due to arthritis for over 20 years and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 2 years ago. This app seriously saved my lifeI had chronic back pain for eight years, seeing every doctor, being told that there was nothing they could see wrong with my back, and I really didn’t know where else to go. My life had become incredibly limited by the pain that I experienced, and I was in a pretty dark place. A physical therapist handed me the book Explain Your Pain by Dr. Lorimer Mosley, and through looking at the resources in that book I discovered, through a series of steps, the Curable app. I devotedly worked through the exercises in the Curable app and learned, for the first time in my life about the emotional and psychological connections to physical pain, and the way a hypervigilant nervous system can create sensations of physical pain in the body. I also contacted a member of Curable’s scientific advisory board, Dr. John Stracks, and joined his mind-body education groups. Using both of these resources, over a year and a half, I was able to get my pain from an 8-9 to a 1-2 and sometimes a zero. It was absolutely incredible. Best most affordable brain retrainingI have m.e and although my symptoms are not somatic - because they would have been resolved by now i am sure - i do find curable has given me loads of tools for managing and reducing some symptoms. This app gives multi faceted approaches and tools to pain and other neurological symptoms. But it is at its best when tackling chronic pain. Recommended it to a friend who was about to go private (uk) for a foot operation and has cancelled. The structural problem is still there but the pain has gone. Think the tms community and the physiological illness community both need to open up to the reality that our bodies are whole systems, not everything is tms and not everything is physiological because essentially the two are all part of the same system and interact..Version: 4.13

Still on road to recovery but very helpful!Curable has turned out to be a vital tool for me when it comes to solving my chronic pain. I have chronic pain in both knees with no obvious diagnosis (cartilage fine, blood tests show know arthritis markers) and have been trying to get on top of it for 18 months. Curable was the first time I started looking at psychological factors and it’s really helped. I don’t have any trauma issues or childhood stress so that part of this app is not relevant. But the meditation and brain training have been very helpful indeed. The app itself has good UI but sometimes the audio features are a bit clunky. A major improvement for me would be the ability to search for meditation based off of keywords that the person says during the meditation. Relief for anxietyWhile I do not have physical pain now (I would have loved the Curable app the 20 years I had migraines!), I do often feel anxiety and have difficulty relaxing enough to get to sleep. Sometimes I may need to listen to several of the Curable meditations or talks, sometimes just one, but always they help calm me down and I can relax and fall asleep. Today I listened to the “Surrender” meditation while undergoing a root canal treatment at the dentist’s! It really helped calm me. The woman who talks through the meditations has such a beautiful calming voice. What pain?This app has blown my mind. After seeing every kind of doctor, I finally had one tell me he thought it might be emotional pain. I am an emotional intelligence coach and have done an insane amount of work on myself, thinking there was nothing left in there. This app completely changed my life!I’d been having migraine attacks for over ten years before I found Curable. At their worst, they were happening three times per week and I’d have to cancel work appointments as well as social appointments. Great concepts. Too wordyI had already been on a path to treat chronic pain through the mind body connection. This program took it even further and I’m finding parts of it very effective. However… most everything is unnecessarily wordy. This tool needs more interactive elements. It is very self-directed and what to do next is a little confusing. If I want to go back to a meditation, I have to listen to a bunch of instructions again. I also wonder if it might be helpful to have more than one voice. Just to give an example, I wrote and culled four stressful events in my life and wrote them with instructions that “we will be using these in the future”. So far, we haven’t. I feel like it would be better to have a more concentrated, clear and repetitive program to unlock the unhelpful mind-body pain framework. But I’m not a neurologist so I could be dead wrong..Version: 4.13

Making progress resolving chronic Neuropathic PainI have experienced 20 years of burning neuropathic pain in my right side, especially face, neck and arm, since brainstem bleed and neurosurgery to remove an angioma. I was researching new methods for dealing with this pain recently and came across the Curable website. I decided to subscribe to the program for a year and commit to daily activities using the Curable App. I have been working on this program for a month and already I feel the intensity of the neuropathic pain has reduced. I have also found some excellent strategies for dealing with anxiety issues arising from my medical condition but also from childhood experiences. I am learning so much about the way that the brain creates pain and how emotional issues can impact on pain becoming chronic well after an injury has healed. I have practiced guided meditation for many years to help with my neurological recovery following the brainstem damage. The Curable Program has enhanced my daily meditation practice and I am feeling a sense of peace and understanding from this journey, especially from learning how to process unresolved emotional issues. Curable is Fantastic!I’ve only been using the app for a short period of time but just the education that I’ve listened to so far has made such a huge impact on my pain. Now I understand why I have pain and know that I have very usable ways to unwind that pain. I’m just starting to get into some of the exercises like brain training and writing and meditation. Curable gives you very specific usable directions that can be completed in a short period of time. It tells you upfront how long an exercise will take so you know if you have time right then and if not you can save it and choose something quicker. Brilliant app using science to bring pain relief!As it says in the title, this app has had a genuinely positive impact on my life. I have come to accept that I will probably always have to live with pain but this app has meditations, brain training tips and techniques, education and writing exercises that are evidence-based and effective. Some of the techniques I’ve learnt using this app to control the pain I feel during “flares” are super effective and get easier and quicker the more I use them. I was so skeptical as it was a lot of money up front for an app but, it’s worth the money I paid many times over. Now, if my family will see me in greater than usual pain and they will tell me to go use my app. It has a “panic buster” mode you can press if you are in a pain crisis and you are bound to find one of the visualisations, meditations or other techniques that will suit you. I would say “buy it” and wring every last drop of help and advice you can out of it. Go in with an open mind and really put effort into the learning and exercises. New mindset may be the key for meI have only been using curable for a week and I feel so different already. The mental relief I feel from lightening the load of fear and depression is pretty major right out the gate. Herniated disc? Not quiteThe pain started suddenly just before college. My doctor told me, referring to an MRI, it’s because I herniated several discs during a sandstorm. Years later, I’m still struggling with seemingly random bouts of severe, debilitating pain in seemingly random areas of my body. After downloading and binge-listening to this app today, I had an aha moment. I opened a book my mom had bought me, which I had dismissed as silly - Heal Your Body by Louis Hay - and looked up my symptoms. Cindie’s BeginningMy story almost feels too much to say out loud. I have had big structural problems— 9 major surgeries in the span of a decade. Completely changed my outlookI have been using this app for a week and have already seen significant results. Help for Fibromyalgia :)This year I’ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, not sure how long I’ve been experiencing symptoms but probably since just after the birth of my first child, which was traumatic (post natal psychosis - joy!). Tinnitus, IBS, muscle pain, extreme fatigue, sensitivity to sounds and light, stiffness, etc. A combination of low dose pregabalin, lifestyle changes, acupuncture and curable have made a huge difference. The four-pronged approach is so helpful in the app, meditation, education, brain training and writing. I try to do one of each every week. Changed the way I viewed my chronic back painI had a back pain issue for over a year that Curable helped me totally reframe. I felt less scared and alone because of the new tools and approach to thinking about pain. It was totally different than any of my many doctors approaches and yet so true to my experience. Extremely helpfulI have suffered from chronic low back pain and sciatica for 44 years. I feel I never coped well emotionally with the pain, mainly because I didn’t understand it. Just wowThis app is good and keeps getting better. It is amazing to me how much is in it! Like it’s never ending. I’ve been using for about a month now and have learnt so much. This really works!I’m a medical student and my education has focused only on the “traditional” treatments for pain, so at first I was a little skeptical that this could work for my pain (chronic SI joint pain). I’d tried everything I’d learned about in school (PT, cortisone injections, exercise, sitting differently…) with no change, and then I read an article in the Washington Post about the new advances in pain science and the idea of neuroplastic pain. Even reading about these ideas made my pain a little better, which clued me into its origins. UnforgettableI will never forget the date that I was able to take control of my pain and anxiety with help of Curable. I feel so empowered now, I no longer have fear of my pain and anxiety or of future pain. I’ve struggle with anxiety since childhood. Cheaper and more effective than a physio appointmentGot this out of desperation, not being able to afford treatment. Only stuck to the program for about a month, but saw major improvement. I like that it’s always there (not a subscription) so I can go in and out of using it as I please. Even being able to afford practitioners, there seems to still be a lot of denial of mind-body / subjective / trauma connection to physical pain (especially among older generations and less up to date practitioners) which seems to halt or slow progress. This app is great for treating that aspect of pain when your resources are limited..Version: 4.13

A painless four-pronged approachVarious dentists had assured me that my teeth are in good shape. so i wondered if the recurring bouts of toothache i have endured for three years might be due to trigeminal neuralgia? the idea that i might be able to successfully overcome this unpleasant daily experience on my own, as suggested by curable, seemed too good to pass up on. i thought i’d give it a whirl before embarking on new medications and possible surgery. since starting, the four-pronged approach curable adopts has made me focus very constructively on the pain. they do this firstly, by ‘education’ ie providing clear insights into the nature of pain; secondly, by ‘brain exercises’ : exercises which although are often counter intuitive have frequently helped; thirdly, by ‘meditation’: through guided sessions ( i’ve always found meditation nearly impossible); and lastly by ‘writing’ that is by persuasively getting me to think out my thoughts on paper. most importantly, i get to choose which of these i feel in need of most at any given time. i still find the pain coming but i’m more aware of when it comes, and often why it comes. i can look my mr. pain in the face and even ridicule his petty cruelty. i no longer allow him to be the important chappie he likes to present himself as, so often he lingers less…wif that makes sense..Version: 4.13

Great app, expert, personal, professionalI am currently off work with chronic migraines and after having bad withdrawal symptoms from changing meds, I began searching for a non-drug treatment and came across this app. I am really enjoying all the four types of lessons. RevolutionaryI haven’t been doing it long. But I’ve tried many meditations in the past and none have really touched my core like these. It’s been amazing making certain connections that pain/anxiety are connected to different feelings and past events etc. It’s been more beneficial this week than hours and hours of therapy.
