✓ Buying 5 star reviews?First off, offering to pay for 5 star reviews is pretty sad. That should tell you that something isn’t right somewhere, dontcha think? I can’t honestly give OS a five star rating, at least, not the current version. I bought OS 2020 a while back and it works fine - I use a dedicated iPad and an AirTurn bluetooth pedal - beats the heck out of a big clunky music stand and shuffling paper charts. I did try the “updated” version… basically, not much has changed. A couple new features that I don’t need or want and - yes - the obligatory damnable suckscription. No thanks. I’ll stick with OS 2020. Obviously, I won’t be paid for this review, but it’s my honest opinion..Version: 2023.1
✓ ReviewJust getting into on song, didn’t get brought up with the computer age. So it has taken a while to get used to the various aspects of the app,, but now, after only a couple of weeks the benefits are starting to shine through my very cloudy head. It has already made practise sessions so much easier and tidier. Hopefully no more loose piles of various bits of paper with songs on floating around. So pleased My friend directed into this app . ✓ Reliable Top Notch InterfaceAn early adopter of OnSong who has relied on the contents of an oak file cabinet filled with paper lead sheets (chords and lyrics) organized from A to Z containing folk songs, Irish, Newfoundland, Xmas music, Americana, soft rock, hard rock, Piedmont blues guitar and more, I can tell you that there is no interface for doing music more satisfying than OnSong. ✓ Perfect for my needsOnSong is perfect for my needs. I needed an app that would load all of the songs My band performs and organize them alphabetically and also by set. I can even scan handwritten lead sheets. It’s just perfect and does everything I needed to. I just swipe from song to song or bring up the Setlist. ✓ Totally unusable!Since OnSong just updated to 2023 my experience is that it is totally unusable. It opens on the same page each time and freezes with the new information about the update. Even restarting my iPad doesn’t help. I rely on this App every day so please help!!!!.Version: 2023.0

I can easily change key for the singer and I get to show others that play different instruments their chord diagrams. Setting up a set list is so easy. ✓ Great worship app!This app does everything you want and more! It can grow as you music team expands, synchronise LIVE! As you play! Fully integrated set tempos, metronomes, pads, keys (changeable with capos etc). And that’s not the half of it - PRESENT! Live from the app! We trained an 8 year old to operate out church presentation software! Control Lights! Set lighting scenes to create different atmospheres! ✓ LifesaverI’m the Bass player in a little hometown band named The Paul Boggs Band. We play a large variety of music. If not for OnSong we’d be shuffling papers on stage and playing many incorrect notes. We’ve been using this app for years. It has a few hiccups. Sometimes it randomly changes the key of our songs, but most of the time it’s a lifesaver. It was money well spent..Version: 2023.1
✓ Great app!!I don’t usually give reviews but I got tired of seeing all the negative reviews on this product. I am not dismissing all of the concerns others have as we all have the rite to express how we feel about products. I have been using this product for about 5 years now, and find it does everything I need it to. There is plenty of online and email and chat support for things that I needed help with. It does have a learning curve with it, but once you get the hang of it it’s pretty easy going. There have been a few glitches but what software doesn’t have that! Most of the glitches for me have ended up being user error, this is very powerful software. I am now paying for the premium version as I find the use of “console “ very helpful for me. I see a lot of complaints on how expensive the premium version is and I don’t see what the issue is? It’s the cost of one Starbucks coffee per month. I’d give that up for the convenience I get from all the premium features you get with premium membership. But to each their own. I highly recommend this app (especially the premium version) to anyone serious about their song library and live play. It may not be for everyone, but it’s definitely worth a look and a try!! ✓ Consult with your longtime users seems to be the cry here in feed backI have used OnSong on the same iPad for 10 years and loved it. I have just upgraded my iPad and found out that I couldn’t transfer songs to the new iPad. (Well I have worked out that I can transfer my songs from Dropbox but have lost the ability to change key, use post it notes, change font etc,) without paying an annual fee. I have introduced many people to OnSong over the years, and I wouldn’t even mind paying a nominal fee. But no consulting with the long term users has left many disappointed with the decision to charge a fairly excessive yearly fee. OnSong, we ask you to reconsider the fee..Version: 2022.6

✓ Linking iPadsI love this app so much I just wish it wasn’t such a problem sharing my set with other iPad users in the band.. it just keeps disconnecting from the router so I have to keep searching for the other iPads. I use iPad Pro 6th gen and my band members all have iPad Pro 2nd gen so I use my iPad Pro as master and 2 band member iPad Pro as slaves.. have you any idea why I can’t keep them connected ? I know that the app can be a tad cumbersome and I was concerned when they went subscription but they have honored my loyality and think that is a great quality in a company. ✓ Incredible app with amazing customer support!After purchasing the app, I had an issue when I discovered that my Macbook was too old for the latest Monterery update. I was unable to download the app as it was showing as incompatible with OS Big Sur. I immediately contacted the customer support and explained my situation. Not only did they immediately issue me with a refund for my peace of mind whilst they looked into the issue, they managed to rectify this so that I could then download the app! I wanted a versitle app that I could use both on my Macbook and iPad, and OnSong was not only the most userfriendly app, but the only one I could find that was not iPad only. ✓ A musicians best friendI have used this app since 2012 and it just gets bettr and better, I love the dark mode as I strugge with black on white. I have used it on contracts abroad, night after night, its so easy to add songs, chords, sets etc and to move between them all, choose a song quickly in the middle of a performance or alter the set order. I like to organise into genres and the different projects I have. I constantly delve in to my archived sets too to get inspiration for upcomming events. I've tried other software and nothing comes close. I also have backing tracks stored in my onsong library so its a an essential part of my performances. ✓ Valuable Piece of our Show!So I’ve used OnSong since the beginning and it’s grown to become a key part of our show - we use if for onstage sets, just in an iPad. We don’t hook up external screens but have used DMX lights etc. It’s such a powerful system - we only use a small percentage of its power but it’s always been a reliable, simple solution for our sets and lyrics via a Bluetooth page turner pedal. I love that we can tweak stuff on the road and make changes on the fly. Sure there’s bugs with iOS updates and the odd gremlin but the team are always on hand to help and the support site is usually full of good tips. Process was simple, can use either their Chord over Lyric format or pull in a pre-existing pdf chart I'd prepared. Now have everything available at my fingertips with a 12.9" iPad and can annotate with my Apple pencil. Life just got a lot more fun. ✓ A New OfferRecently I received an email from OnSong offering me a ‘Lifetime subscription with updates’ for $100 USD for the 2022 version. Because I like how this app works, that offer was too tempting to refuse. When they came out with the annual subscription I too was angry. I hate annual subscriptions. I’m not a professional paid musician and I don’t use OnSong for praise music. I couldn’t justify the cost. I use it to prepare for a gig and jamming. This new offer means I continue to get new updates and I can access chord charts and do edits on my desktop. I also get more features which I have to yet explore. ✓ Such a useful toolI am a pro musician and I use OnSong whenever I need set lists, chord charts or lyrics. I’ve been an OnSong user for nearly 10 years and I’ve seen it grow into the powerhouse app that it is today. Mine works hands free too because I send Bluetooth MIDI messages, from foot switches on my pedal board to my iPad, to scroll down charts and turn pages. Awesome. ✓ Annotations Keep DisappearingI keep adding drawings, sticky notes, and text and they just disappear. I just wasted three hours. There is no excuse for it to be this easy for these annotations to just disappear. There are some nice features — at this point, I don’t trust this program. I can’t find a save button anywhere. It has gotten to the point where I take pictures of my annotations so I can go into Abobe and add there and then use FILES to add the song. MAKE THIS THING NEVER DELETE ANYTHING THAT I DON’T WANT DELETED. IF I ADD SOMETHING — YOU ALL DON’T EVER LET IT DISAPPEAR WITHOUT A NOTE UNLESS I CLICK THE DELETE BUTTON.Version: 2023.4

✓ Save the planetThe HUB-Hastings Ukulele Band has a library of 508 songs. There are 32 members so that means well over 16,000 pages if we print out our playlist. All 32 members are using OnSong on tablets and iPads. So OnSong is helping us to save the planet. Not to mention keeping our library in sync and keeping everyone on the same page. I'm am typically it a fan of subscription based services, but I get my money out of this one. I love the integration between my MacBook, iPad and Phone. Can easily sync my library and have all songs and set lists ready to go. I love the customization of the charts which is a huge plus. The ability to quickly create multiple charts for multiple instruments and keys is fantastic. Then beam it to my iPads and I'm ready to go. After a long period of time, I bought an iPad Pro, and decided to upgrade to OnSong 2023. The transition was easy, and my previous backup imported very quickly and easily. ✓ 5 stars… but…I love this app, I use it everyday. I am a full time musician and this has helped beyond words. As of the last 2 updates, I’ve had a problem with my tracks. Whenever I hit play, a other song start playing. I can not tell you how annoying this is! When I stop the song, and start all over again it wont fix the problem. I have to close the whole app, in order for it to work properly. This can happen anywhere from 3 to 4 times at a gig. This is my only problem with this app..Version: 2023.2
