✓ Good, but improvements can be made.Fruit Ninja is an iOS gaming classic. This new version draws inspiration from Fornite and other games in the lobby, season pass system, and introduces a multiplayer 1v1 system. There’s interesting game modes that are time sensitive and shuffle out. It’s good and keeps it interesting. My issue comes with some of the currency system. As you climb the leaderboard and gain overall score through completing games (ie: getting 5000 points in Zen Game Mode), you unlock boxes and tickets. I see no way at all in the game to utilize tickets. If there is some way it’s extremely unclear and if tickets are going to be the reward for multiple stages of score achievement, they should be clearly usable in the game..Version: 2.0.1
✓ Great game, unsportsmanlike communityI want to start this review by commending the team who took such an iconic game and turned it into so much more. The multiplayer mode is such a creative translation of the original game—true to the original but with extra flare. The sad thing, however, is that some of the power-ups in Multiplayer breed very unsportsmanlike behavior. Twice in a row now I’ve been matched with players whose only strategy is to constantly spam the Blue Fruit and Flip Colors power-ups, which, for those of you who don’t play, basically prevents me from being able to play the game at all, and forces me to watch as my opponent basically steals all of my turns to play from me, ensuring their victory. These power-ups are an essential part of the game, but they are far too easily abused, and without equally strong power-ups, the game becomes miserable to play. Because the behavior of other players cannot be changed, there NEEDS TO BE SOME KIND OF OPTION TO BLOCK PLAYERS YOU DON’T WANT TO MATCH UP WITH AGAIN. I am completely uninterested in this kind of unsportsmanlike gameplay and should have the right to not be matched up with players who I already know prevent meaningful play of game for me. I don’t think these power-ups should be limited or taken away, so this is the only fair solution I can think of..Version: 2.1.5

✓ Almost perfect but a lot of bugs and adsThe game really improves compared to the original, aesthetic wise. But there are alot of bugs. For example, Fruitar Hero sometimes has weird reception and doesn’t give me the correct rating on my slice. Sometimes I feel I got a “Perfect!” but the games said “BAD.” That right there hurts the game because a extremely good idea was turned into a good game on its own, but one bug sort of ruins it all. Also, there are a lot of ads in the game with feels like other games are trying to ruin my experience. Those two problems each deduct one star, rallying up to 3 stars. The multiplayer experience is very much a pay to win experience which makes this unfair and ultimately un-fun. Free single player would be enough if it didn’t crash. ✓ Season passThe premium season pass is absolutely ridiculous, $14 for garbage!! Especially if this only covers the current seasons pass, which it most likely does. You didn’t even include a premium reward on every level of the season pass like most games do which makes the value of it even worse! If anyone has purchased the season pass, they need to give their parents’ credit card back to them, cuz this is just a disappointing purchase. In the future, i would recommend that you include a premium item for every single level, and lower the price substantially, or make it purchasable with gems. Or, if you enjoy your $14 scam so much then you should make it a permanent purchase that covers all the future season passes. I’ve literally only played the game for 5 minutes and its honestly not that bad of a game, but once i saw the price of that, i had to leave a horrible review (and I wasn’t even planning on buying it). ✓ Lost in timeI feel like you have just created the same game as last time but with a bit of a progress system. Nothing new to see really, new blades are not uncommon but the purchases are and once again block you from 80% of very good products. I also feel like you have lost your footing as the original game was the best this 1 is a cop out with in game purchases. I see your trying to milk people out of more money than it’s worth. Is that to make up for the 10 years it took to make this game ? I would not spend a single dollar on your game as it’s the same thing as the last 1 from 10 years ago. ✓ COME ONSorry to say this but you REKT the game. I used to play this game a lot when I was 10 and I had everything. The multiplayer mode was functional the game did not look like it came from a 2 year old tv show, it had this amazing music that you would groove to as soon as you log on and it had different speech choices that ranged from ninja to pirate voices. This update removed all my stuff and items it also got rid of the amazing music and makes me start again. Why did you change a game that 4 to 15 year olds could play and enjoy to a straight 5 year old game. I know you can’t bring back the data that I owned. But at least make the game like it used to be, bring back old things (especially the music) and maybe you will get more people to play a actually fun game (used to be anyway). Please, if you remember the old version you would say that the update ruined it, sure it added other cool things in like the look of the blades but I recommend if you want more people to play bring back original things (ESPECIALLY THE MUSIC). ✓ GlitchesThis games shuts down so much it drives me crazy. As soon I go to play in leagues, it find me a match and then when I use a power up the whole game shuts down. Happens every single time, now it’s happening with the arcade one too. The crazy thing is, is leagues, you lose trophies as if you lost the match each time it has done this. I have tried to reach out to support but there isn’t a good day to do that, that portion is glitchy too. ✓ Game is great but...When I was saving everything that gave sword shards to a player chosen sword for upgrading it, I went and blew 12 dollars on Gems for a this “Super Amazing” Cosmic berry. And as common knowledge would go, the most expensive would yield the best rewards. NOPE. Not only was I wrong, but, I also was scammed in a more malicious way than normal. You see, when you go onto like a robux generator for roblox, it’s an expected scam ( everyone knows that ). But when you advertise through your gameplay reward, the cosmic berry box is the top of the reward tower things and season pass, so you would think that it would always yield amazing rewards. I bet you all want to know what I got right? 200 coins, two times was snow blade shards and I don’t use that, and lava blade shards, I also don’t use that sword. Pretty sad I know..Version: 2.6.0
✓ The “players” on the leaderboardThe leaderboard doesn’t actually have real humans in it. I’ve tested what would happen after a second of a new event coming like fruitar hero and in one second “someone” literally gets a score just after one second of the event coming. This proves that the leaderboard has bots in it and it’s technically impossible to get 1st place because the bots are going to get a higher score. This just proves the events are useless if there’s just bots and the game pretends it’s actually human. I’m really disappointed because I thought the leaderboard actually had real humans in it..Version: 2.20.1

✓ GlitchesI really do enjoy this game but however, it has way too many glitches. First of all, every time I enter into a multiplayer with someone online, the game sometimes freezes up and just eventually comes off completely. This causes me to lose points and makes it really hard for me to be high ranks on the leaderboard. Secondly, I think that some of the power ups are being abused. For instance, the color switch power up. Persons will continue to spam it which allows me to hardly even play. Lastly, whenever I open the game to actually play it, my character who usually stands in the middle does not appear and when I try to restart, the music in the background won’t stop playing even tho i am not on the app. There are many more glitches but just too lazy to type them but you get the point. But I also think this game teaches our children to use swords and cut stuff. That is not okay. My son, my precious gumdrop, Quandale Dingle, downloaded this game, and now wants to cut stuff. Not my little Quan Quan. Not him. This game teaches violence to our children. Quandale Dingle thought he could get in a sword fight because of this game. He got cut, and as he was running away, he tripped and scraped off his foreskin. Also, the word ninja kind of sounds like the N word, and now Quandale has started to say it. Yes, he is black, but our family values white segregation and white washing. Literally. We wash our little Quandale in bleach in hope that he will become white. And it’s all your fault! ✓ Literally unplayableAlright, when it was working for me, I had a blast playing this game. All the new features, different types of mini games. All that was fun. But now every time I try I play the game, I can’t even get inside it anymore. The game keeps crashing every time I try to play it when it reaches the end of the loading screen. Once I was playing the mayhem event and there were thirty minutes left, and I was in 2nd place, so I kept playing until I had enough cups to finish first, but the game glitched and said that it couldn’t load my points to the leaderboard and I finished second when I should have finished first. And recently I was playing the zen mode and was going to set a new record with the extra ten seconds for an ad, but the ad wouldn’t load and the screen went blank, so I had do exit the game. ✓ What i think of fruit ninja 2..This game is pretty good. I found the original worse because in this there is a pvp mode and new game modes never seen in the original. This game is overall a better remake but the reason I have only put a 2 star review is the focus on in-app purchases. ✓ The grindFruit ninja 2 is like one of those arcades where you spend dollars to buy tokens, spend the tokens to play games, win points in the games, then after hours of hard work at the games trade the points for a prize that’s barely worth anything. You incrementally improve your character very, very slowly by upgrading blades and power ups, but normal gameplay doesn’t get you the things you need to upgrade. Normal gameplay gets you plants, very occasional prizes, and a place on a leaderboard for an event. Plants mature after several hours into rewards. Leaderboards give you rewards after an event ends, anywhere from a week to a month after it starts. As a result, you don’t feel much of a sense of progress. At the higher levels, you’ll play for a week to buy one tiny upgrade that you’ll barely notice..Version: 2.0.3

✓ Glitches a lotThis game frequently loses connection to the servers and kicks me out the game. It happens most often on ticketed events which is super annoying because one I was about to kill my arcade score by several hundred points and the game kicked me out, two it still takes your tickets, I’ve lost at least 10 this way and it really takes away from the game. I like the new modes but I’m not exactly sure how scoring works on multiplayer, sometimes it seems to make sense and sometimes the other person destroys me with no demonstration of better skill compared to me but whatever. ✓ Bad support, the game is okThis game immediately loses two stars from what I had to go through to play it. I have an iPad before owning a newer phone. Upon looking at the compatible versions the store page said my iPad was compatible, it crashed mid way through launching every single time. I used the contact support found on here just to have a bot respond telling me I need to somehow contact them from in game. Change the information on the page so it’s accurate and give a heads up about the support so other people won’t have to put up with this crap. Later I ended up with a new phone. It ran the game without issue. It is fairly fun granted I never left gold one because all ranks got frozen for like a month. This would be three stars if the new game mode fruitar hero wasn’t so enraging. The concept is fun however the it is the ONLY way to earn the southern lights blade. The arrow fruits seem to fail WITHOUT REASON at least once every game. Also starting the cut from inside the fruit automatically counts as bad. ✓ Nothing to do but waitIn the old fruit ninja, you could play for hours and hours and you would always be earning something. This game seems to limit its replayability by only allowing players to earn coins and gems with timed events, which makes it pointless to play more than about 15 minutes per day. After finishing daily quests and events, the only thing you can earn is XP, which is more than useless, it effects your matchmaking rank, which means by playing more you will be at a disadvantage in Leagues. You will be matched with high level players without high level gear, which means you won't be able to win until you wait a couple days for enough events to come back. ✓ Game is becoming a “pay to win” franchiseI downloaded the game when it came out, and I’ve been playing non stop, but there’s only a certain number of modes you can play at a time, and they have a new loot system like they do in call of duty and other games like that. Supply drops. You can pay for diamonds which you can use to purchase loot boxes of different rarities. To get them in game takes so much effort and usually makes you wait until an event is over. And power ups are not available to all, you have to either buy them with real money, or hope to get lucky from a power up loot box. It’s becoming a very “pay to win” kind of game and I’m starting to get real frustrated with games using that same cash grab from people that dont want to wait and keep playing to get better things. Micro transactions should be removed entirely. If not that, then remove the loot box system so everyone can have the same progression rate as everyone else. It’s entirely unfair. To open up 4 extra garden slots (note: there’s 12, and they only give you 4) it costs $2.99 EACH. Not once. Both times to buy 4 extra garden spaces..Version: 2.0.1

✓ AdsIn general, if ads are in games, they are most of the times abundant and pop up in your face all the time. Luckily, this game does not have many ads. However, this doesn't mean they are not greedy. Anytime i try to open the shop, an offer pops up to buy the season pass, then at the bottom it says “skip this awesome offer”, and I personally hate how the game is making so many people think this offer is some sort of amazing deal, if you play the game a lot and want to progress, sure, maybe, but if you just want to play for fun, this honestly shows how this game favors people who pay and not just play the game. Along with this, the PVP game mode is broken. I keep getting matched up with people that have swords with extremely high power, and there is nothing you can do about it other than watch them destroy your score with one swipe. This game just honestly has many other flaws that I will not talk about in this review. This was just a way to share my opinion, because I think the developers di not care about the reviews. ✓ Fun but needs polishThe most important aspect of this game, namely the fruit slicing, works great. The rest, though, needs some attention to make this a five star game. Your coins don't accurately display while in the shop. Experience gained isn't always correct, such as if you click on completed missions too quickly. There's no record of your Arcade Mode+ top score. You can't play classic or zen mode without an event currently going on. The maximum coin earning over a, what, 12h period? is honestly ridiculous. Not having an offline mode is a huge bummer. Do the powerups actually give any kind of points bonus (such as freeze combos) at all, because i haven't seen it. I hope this game gets some much-needed attention towards its technical aspects as well as general user experience..Version: 2.29.0
✓ Constant crashesI’m playing on an iPhone 8 so it might just be the age of my phone, but nearly every mode crashes or closes with ‘connection error’ on both very fast WiFi and 4g. It’s really frustrating when you’re about to complete a task or finish an online game. The gameplay is too fiddly and contrived in online modes and it’s just not as much fun as earlier fruit ninjas. ✓ Don’t Download This. It’s too hacked.I used to LOVE this game, and I got really into Fruit Ninja 2. Then I started realizing that this game is too obviously rigged. If you win “too much,” they match you with impossible computer programs when you’re playing in leagues or on a leadership board. I literally played the same “girl” twice, back to back. The first game “she” was level 78. In the second, “she” was level 88. It’s also appears to be severely hacked. On my last leadership board, the player ranked #1 has over 1000 point playing ZEN MODE. If you’ve ever played Zen Mode, you know they don’t even throw 1000 fruits at you throughout the 1 1/2 minutes so… AND the ads are hacked!! Plus they turn on your microphone and camera, and track your location. I can see what use they’d have for your location, but why do you need to turn on my microphone and camera while I have the app open in the background??.Version: 2.14.0

The PvP aspect of the game is incredibly rigged to whoever spent more money on the game and who has the better loot usually won. The trophy system within the game you can take with a grain of salt. I was battling against people who spent far too much time on this game and somehow were in the very first league. Also, the scoring system makes no sense whatsoever. ✓ Absolutely disgracefulThis game takes everything that made the first game fun and strips it away. The infectiously fun blade and dojo system with different boosts that you can mix and match has been abandoned for situational power-ups that are really only useful in the multiplayer. The blades themselves all function identically aside from a few minor stat changes that, again, only affect multiplayer. The singleplayer content is downright piss-poor, and not only that, but you’re only allowed to play so much of a mode before you can’t anymore and have to wait. And worst of all, everything is locked behind an insufferable gacha system that this game did not need in the slightest. ✓ To be honest, this game is a disserviceThe first iteration was a classic that I’m sure most of us have had on our devices at some point. And to see a second one, I was pretty excited. But it really lacks the charm and call me crazy, but I miss the simplicity. This game just feels so grindy for what you end up getting. And most things are locked behind a season pass. In order to get some of the stronger blades, you need power ups to boost your score. Unfortunately most of those power ups are locked behind the premium paywall. It’s not a bad game at its core. ✓ Nothing like its predecessor. Loot boxes and online only.I loved the original Fruit Ninja and play it all the time. Was really excited to see a sequel, but it’s generally a let down. The only way to play is to be online and several game modes have limited Windows of time when you can play them or they are gated behind a ticket system. Most games have to be played against other opponents, but there are two problems: 1.) game stability meant that it frequently locked up at the end of or disconnected in the middle of a match. 2.) like many online competitive games there are already people gaming the match making and scoring systems. Loot boxes are basically pay to win. Better swords & upgrades and season experience come at a snails pace unless you pour lots of cash into the shop. Initially I entertained this notion to support Half Brick (as I have loved the original so much and easily got my $5 worth), but no more. ✓ Brilliant game but needs work!I really love the game but there are a few problems that need fixing. Firstly, when I’m completing quests, there have been a few instances where I’ve completed the quest but then it’s not recognised so I miss out on a reward. Secondly, when trying to redeem rewards in the garden the ads never play - you have to open and close the app to watch them and get double rewards. Finally, the Arcade game is rubbish. It was my favourite game in the original but high scores are near impossible and when you do get one, you get knocked off the leaderboard in a matter of hours. The game “steers” you towards purchasing items to make you think you will finally be able to win at Fruit Ninja 2. This a freemium game that will leave you “chasing the dragon” in hopes that you will make it to end and feel a sense of achievement, without actually ever making it there. It’s just another in a long line of freemium games that strings you along as far as possible, while slamming you with ads and trying to get you to pay for in-game purchases, without ever allowing you to really accomplish anything in this game. ✓ Shiny surface with deep flaws.This game is fun; really fun. It brought out a competitive side to me no other game on mobile has. I even bought the season pass. Which I would hope gets rid of the 30 second ads, but it doesn’t. I also won a tournament! Spent several hours of my day slaving away because me and another ninja were neck and neck. Too bad when I got in first place I never received my prize, it just said congratulations, told me what I was receiving (300 gold and a dragonfruit chest) but I never received it. Oh and it likes to crash on the mini games making it virtually impossible to beat them. Fun, but flawed. Don’t spend money on it if you are that kind of person until they get their app more stable. Honestly kind of mad about the 1st place prize disappearing into the nether. But if you are not competing online, this game will be amazing for you. ✓ Game was fun till the bugs and the bots ruin it.Game allows you to play battles with power ups/leveling up your sword. I played the side/mini games because that’s what I thought was the most fun but now whenever I play any battle matches the bots are nearly unbeatable. No matter which power up combo I use the bots will have access to higher level power ups allowing them to use power ups more often and last longer. I can’t win more than once every fourth game. About one of every four games I start I literally can’t cut a single fruit because the game doesn’t recognize the swipes as blade cutting so ya get 0 points. Even if you’re winning a match many times the game can glitch and will continue while the counter is at 0, and I’ve lost a few matches that way. Upgrading your blade is useless because to computer will just match you with a bot of the same blade caliber. The mini games have been getting more and more glitchy as well. The “mini-game shuffle” will not save your progress so you can’t win any prizes, even if you manage to beat all 12 mini games. The Mayhem game, as mentioned before, will frequently not recognize your sword so you can’t score a single point..Version: 2.1.1
