Ear Cat - Music Ear Training for Positive User Reviews

PurrfectThis is the ideal tool for learning intervals which, as an intermediate guitar player, has helped tremendously with getting to know the fretboard better. Great app..Version: 1.5

Really good. Thanks for this. Really useful. This, with Treble Cat and Bass Cat make a great training suite. I would have liked it if they introduced the colour tones outside the major scale in Ear Cat not all at once. But that’s just me. Still, a fabulous tool and I use it all the time..Version: 1.6

Wonderfully fun and challenging! This game is very entertaining as well as engaging your ears, brain, and coordination. So many wonderful simple melodies that are used, familiar, yet to pick them out right is so much fun. Thank you!.Version: 1.5

Best!Loveliest and most motivating ear training app EVER! Thank you for this. Not just a flash card game. I would recommend this to ALL students as an essential tool to learn from. Other apps I’ve tried have been dry and difficult and I have to drag myself to them with lots of caffeine. This stimulates learning with enjoyment = retention - and even better - I’ll use it a lot!! And I know my students will love this too!!.Version: 1.3

FunThis gets my paw pad print of approval 🐾.Version: 1.5

Good in so many ways, and...This app is really fun and slightly addictive. It really helps with ear training- getting your ears to be able to distinguish clearly between tones. I wish they had spent a bit more time in one octave, adding more tones per session, before moving on to 2 octaves, I’m only on level III, so we’ll see... Also, the “take care of Echo” game is confusing and should have more options. ( add exercise ...?) And... I wish they gave out 4 stars, going down to zero, and had more comments other than well done! and Purrfect!.Version: 1.5

Newfie!This is fun and relaxing..Version: 1.5

True life saverI’m not exactly exaggerating when I say games produced by this developer changed my life. As an adult who did not learn any music younger and who truly regret it, I learnt almost everything I need for reading music notes using the cat series, when I was 19 and tried to self-educate, and those games were something truly stuck with me after a lot of frustration using other method. Now brilliancy strike again, this listening game is all I want for a sharp ear practice, plus the design is elegant, harmonious, and cute as always..Version: 1.1

Good for interval trainingWorks well for interval identification, but I found the exercises where you have to play back a song extremely difficult because only one octave (7 notes, actually) shows on the screen at a time and switching them up and down is very counterintuitive for a keyboard player. There should be some way to show more notes on the screen at a time..Version: 1.4

Fun while you learn! This is a great way to learn intervallic relationships between notes! Easily relates to solfege or numbering systems, and - as usual - I love the background sounds. Really helpful to have tonic “humming” underneath it all! Only problem I have found is that many of my students are not familiar with the song at the end of Level 1..Version: 1.3

The bestBye.Version: 1.6

Some suggestionsMy private lesson teacher recommended this app, so I got it right away. I had my phone on silent and do not disturb and it wasn’t using the sound. I had to turn it off for it to work and I’d like it better if you could use it on silent and do not disturb. Other than that it is amazing♡.Version: 1.5

Great and fun appIt’s an amazing app that combine marvelously education and fun. The game is addictive, and not only one improves greatly at hearing intervals but also at integrating single pitch, emulating someone with perfect pitch. So while having fun, one is working on one of the most fundamental and important aspect of music learning. I highly recommend this app for both young kids and adults!.Version: 1.6

Awesome and cute appLove this app. Great for training your ears to recognize changes in notes!.Version: 1.5

Help me with my Piano work and getting the stuff out of brainSoooo cool! Hard but it is fun and awesome!!!! You should make a...... 2 PART!!!.Version: 1.5

Pawsome5 toe beans out of 5. Simple app and great for music training and recognising notes. It’s very cute too for people who like cats.Version: 1.5
