Rhythm CatGood fun and challenging. Looking forward to trying it out on my pupils this week..Version: 4.1

FANTASTIC APP!!!This is an amazing app. I am a music educator and my students love this! They feel like they're playing a game, but it really helps me assess they're strengths and weakness and it sure beats the old-fashioned flash cards. I love that it changes meter, uses ties and syncopations, and gets progressively harder. I can't say enough about this app!!.Version: 1.0

Sweet appThis is awesome ! I've been told for years that I have NO rythem ... I've only had this app for and hour and already I feel like I've learned so much... Makes it feel natural. :-) no amount of paid lessons could do for me what this app has. Very fun..Version: 1.0

Awesome gameO my goodness! This game is amazing! I am taking piano right now and my piano teacher hooked me up on this game! I just completed all the levels and I am planning on doing it again! Thank you for making up this game! It rocks! Be sure to make another app and I will by it for sure! Rhythm cat has changed my piano life! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💚💚💚💚💚💚💚❤️❤️💚💚💜💙💙💙💙💛💛💛💙💙💜💜💚💚❤️💚💚💜💙💛💛💛💙💜💜💚💚💜💙💛💛💛💙💙💜💜💜💙💙💛💜💚💚💜💜💙💛.Version: 4.0

Catastic!Great game and great rhythms!!! Love love love it.Version: 4.1

Great practiceThis really has helped my reading. I'm a drummer and never had much use for reading until I started trying to learn out of books..Version: 4.0

I love this game very muchBest game ever i love this game so much pls make more rhythm cat levels.Version: 5.2

ExcellentThis is a perfect app for developing rhythmic skills and learning the length of crotchets, quavers dotted, notes etc my younger students are addicted to it and so am I. It is wonderful to see these types of apps being created..Version: 5.0

ExcellentI've been struggling with reading rhythm for a while, it just doesn't sink in. This app is pretty amazing. I've definitely improved my reading. I'm hopeful this app will take me all the way to proficiency. Cats, stars and crazy tunes. What more could you want!!!!.Version: 4.7

Great App!For learning or for fun..Version: 4.1

Yes!I use this app to teach rhythm to students and they love it! What a fun way to learn!.Version: 4.4

GreatVery entertaining app especially for kids!.Version: 1.0

Great appReally recommend for younger kids Lots of interactive features.Version: 5.2

Wonderful appI'm pleased the full version has come out. My piano students have found this very fun and helpful. Well done..Version: 1.2

Fantastic!I am in currently in college and tutor percussion. This is a fantastic app for rhythms. I think a practice mode for the faster rhythms would be nice but over all a fantastic app for learning and teaching rhythms!.Version: 4.1

Makes rhythm lessons funThis is a lovely high quality app for learning the basics of reading rhythm. Each rhythm notation is like a puzzle to be mastered... Frustrating at first but awesome when you finally nail it!.Version: 4.4

My students love itAnything that can get a bunch of eighth-graders trying over and over to get the rhythm perfect is all right in my book.Version: 4.6

Wonderful and funnyMy students and myself both enjoyed this game , and also improved the rhythm skill. Many thanks !.Version: 5.0

WonderfulThis is a great app for anyone trying to improve their music skills. There are lots of levels and the music is very catchy. I strongly recommend this; it's a great free app..Version: 1.0

Great App But No Family SharingMy six year old son LOVES all the Cat music apps, they’re great for practicing timing and note reading. My only issue is that they don’t offer family sharing. I bought the apps on my phone without realizing I couldn’t share on the device my son uses, so now he can only play on my phone, which is super annoying and rarely happens. Also wish we could access the sheet music or even just the note letters on the rhythm songs - my son wants to play them on the piano..Version: 5.2

Great appThis is a great app to use with students, it can really help with getting them to understand the importance of feeling the pulse and the placing of notes. I wish there were more simpler rhythms and it doesn't always register when the buttons are pressed, which is frustrating..Version: 4.1

Almost perfect. It is possible to hit unnecessary notes/beats as long as the main beats are still played in time for each notated rhythm..Version: 4.7

Very fun and useful for learning about musicWe used it for prepare for RCM, very fun and helpful..Version: 1.1

Great for learning rhythm and challenging yourself!Great app for learning while you play! Wish they used a 4 star system instead of only 3 stars. Mostly, the difficulty level keeps increasing steadily and new concepts are introduced one at a time. There is one that feels a bit too fast for the level it’s on (level 3) Also, One of the songs in level 3 has a mistake in the rhythm. Otherwise a really good app. Totally enjoyable and it feels like I’m challenging myself to read as perfectly as possible and keep an excellent steady beat. Really good for skill improvement! Love the introduction of the other tapping button (even though it’s sometimes frustrating! :-) ).Version: 5.0

Great customer supportJames was very helpful in troubleshooting the sound issues we were having with this game. We got a prompt response and several different things to try. Both of my daughters take piano love this game!.Version: 1.0

An idea to shareWhat a great idea! For the really rhythmically challenged, can there be a “helper” option? Maybe a “clap” sound to note the beat, that the learner could tap along with. I think this will help some children (and adults) understand the concepts of rhythm better, instead of just using colored notes to indicate success..Version: 5.0

AmazingI absolutely love this app. It is a fun and efficient way to get kids to practice reading rhythm..Version: 1.2

Great app!I teach private piano and this app is great for enforcing rhythms. My students love this app!.Version: 5.0

Great way to learn musicAs addictive as Angry Birds, but you're learning as you play! Eagerly waiting for more levels/songs!.Version: 4.1

The best app for learning to read rhythm! This gorgeous app has a very effective strategy for teaching rhythm! Out of the several dozens of rhythm reading and rhythm games I've tried, I feel that this has helped me the most to improve. I enjoy singing, but I'm often off-beat when the rhythm is more complicated than a steady string of half notes. These drills really helped me get a better understanding of counting rhythm and get a more intuitive feel for the most common rhythm patterns. I would've liked more levels though!.Version: 4.1

AwesomeReally great learning tool and fun to boot. I really wish there was more content though: like full songs and more complex songs too..Version: 5.0

GreatGreat for kids.Version: 1.0

Nice challengeMy students enjoy this. They find it engaging and challenging. I would love to see more rhythms included and the option to vary the tempo. Perhaps we could select the rhythms and number of beats to be included, even if only for the rhythm challenges, that would be really useful in the classroom..Version: 1.2

SoundNot a bad app. Need to fix some audio as it changed tempo with what needed tapping. Keep developing this as it is off to a good start..Version: 1.0

One of better onesI downloaded and tested several apps for learning/improving rhythm. Most had great graphics but in many cases terrible instructions. This one stands out. I am no professional musician, just someone looking to take his rhythm up several levels without having access to instruments or a metronome. This app,Combining basic "sheet music" that displays quarter/half/whole notes, etc, you tap to a beat played accordingly. If you don't play it(tap)in time correctly, it " flunks" you at the end of the piece. Well done to the developer.Version: 4.6

Love it.34 years old. Learning piano. This is brilliant for helping me read rhythyms. £3 well spent..Version: 4.0

Rhythm with my kidsWe love this series of apps. My kids and I just finished this app. It’s fun to try to count it out loud while playing. An update could have a recording of someone counting off each level maybe. Then again, maybe that would make it too easy..Version: 4.7

Almost perfect!!I'm a music teacher and i use apps like this all the time with my students. this is one of the best in so many ways! The only thing wrong with this app is that sometimes you have to press the button so hard one is xhausted after doing three in a row. But the games themselves are awesome. It's almost perfect truly!.Version: 1.0

Wonderful musical appYou can tell the developer put their heart into making this app. It has a very user friendly interface, the music choice is wonderful and it’s a fantastic learning tool. Im definitely improving my rhythm skills as I’m progressing through the levels and it’s great fun too. Thanks for making this app 🙂.Version: 5.2

Good rhythm exerciseLove this app! Good for practicing rhythm but not always accurate enough!.Version: 4.4

Fantastic tool for learning rhythms!Using this as a music teacher in my middle school classrooms. The kids love playing along visually and performing rhythms while counting out loud. Most exercises include excerpts from popular melodies. Suggestion to developers to expand and improve This program is missing triplet rhythms, dotted eighths, repeat signs, tempo markings, and changing meter such as 6/8, 2/2, and 5/4. Nevertheless, awesome find!.Version: 4.0

Great app to start you musical journey. This app is awesome!!!.Version: 4.7

AwesomeI am a percussionist and this game helped me out with complexed beats. This game is awesome now I jam out on my drums this year!.Version: 4.0

Very helpfulI struggle with rhythms, and this app is perfect for practicing! Really hope there will be new levels soon.Version: 4.1

Picky picky! But aesthetically wonderful.I got this app for my kids to practice rhythm. I really love the variety of music that sets the background for the exercises. So much nicer than clapping rhythms to a metronome. The one thing I wish the app included was a review of the exercise for the player to see which rhythms were missed. The standard is stringent: it is a stickler for holding notes for their full values and attack precisely on time. However, it’s hard to know why reasonable attempts are rejected. Is it that inadequate pressure was given for a particular beat, or is the player just not hitting the sweet spot on the answer pad? Or does the developer want people to practice each rhythm multiple times for mastery? Regardless of why, practice never hurt anyone, though some students might get discouraged..Version: 5.0

Cats and SynthesizersThis is excellent motivation to practice rhythms. It doesn't catch all of my mistakes but it catches most of them; it needs to be used with a desire to improve, not cheat..Version: 4.4

Loved it but not the latest updateMy kids love it but not the new background. They think it looks dull. Great content though..Version: 5.0

Good for rhythm, could be improvedRhythm Cat features some great rhythm training for aspiring musicians; easier rhythms with crotchets and minims, building to more complex syncopation with quavers, dotted notes and ties. It's great that people are making apps like this, so I'm grateful to the developers, but there are a few niggles that I need to mention. The algorithm which determines whether you played the notes right is very forgiving, and seems almost broken, often deciding a note has been played correctly, when a mistake was obvious. Even playing in rests isn't always enough for the game to mark you down, and this really needs to be better in order to really teach people how to play rhythms right. Also, a counter would be helpful, keeping track of where you are in the music as the green confirmation colour lags behind the music about half a beat. This may defeat the purpose of keeping track yourself though. Background colours make coloured notes hard to read, and cats can sometimes get in the way of the music. In terms of consistency, black notes are played with the green button, even though the red and blue notes are played by red and blue buttons, a bit of a confusing choice. Many music tracks are also recycled throughout the game's 60 levels, and this seemed to be a little lazy, as once you know the tune, it's easy to play from memory. Even a few more rhythms without music backing would have provided more of a challenge. I loved the humour of the game in the music and the cats, and even though they aren't animated or don't feature in any other way than the backgrounds of the stages, I still felt they were an important addition to the spirit of the game. Being a relatively expensive app, you could expect more, but I'm happy with what I got from this app. It's not completely professional looking, but a lot of effort has gone into this, giving it great value, even if it's just a little bit of lighthearted rhythm practice. I hope many more people can be entertained and taught by this app.Version: 4.1

Great game for teachingI use this app to teach drum lessons. I wish that you could change the tempo because some songs are too fast for beginners. I would also like the app to tell the name of a note when a new note is introduced. Other than that...awesome! Jake Burton Nashville, TN.Version: 4.1

Well done!Beautifully designed, well written musical numbers, challenging rhythms in a logical succession. Great game..Version: 4.1

Yay!That game was so fun!! I struggled a lot with stage 3 levels 13-14, and I have a Bachelor of Music. I'd like to suggest a "Practice Mode" for some of those really fast rhythms. Thanks for the great game! Looking forward to a Stage 5 with 16th notes to be added!.Version: 1.2

Amazing!Brilliant for teaching value of notes. Levels are good for challenging able children!.Version: 4.0

Very fun game!I now know how to play piano better! Very fun game!.Version: 4.4

AccuracyI love the idea of this app. I've played it with and without headphones. It isn't always accurate to the touch. The button is flashing that it was pushed, but it is not recording above. I would love to have my piano students use this if this small glitch was fixed..Version: 1.0

This is a great app for young music studies and adultsI teach private music lessons and was on the hunt for fun music reading games to which I could refer my students - both young and old. This is perfect. Before I could in good conscience refer this game to my students, I had to play it all the way through. My only criticism is that there is very little instruction once you make it past the first set of levels. I, as a teacher, would love to see more instruction with the syncopated rhythms - possibly an audio/visual example. Still, I will now be able to refer my students to this app as a fun way to practice rhythm. I also tried the bass cats game... that one is even better I think..Version: 4.7

GoodGood for practicing. A very nice interface, with good feedback about what you're getting right or wrong. Fun to play and not boring at all. The only thing I don't like about it is that the progression of difficulty is too steep for me - I wish there were more exercises on one skill before introducing new things..Version: 4.1
