✓ ShortageI bought these LED ship lights a while back to connect to a strip I already owned from a different brand since I misjudged the space I was trying to cover and needed more lights. They worked perfectly fine with the word that my other lights came from but as soon as I tried to use the cord/box for these lights it started making a weird quiet humming noise that was mildly concerning, but I didn’t think much of it. Once I tried to download the app it seemed to connect perfectly fine until I tried to change the color, which as soon as I pushed a button, it immediately blew the power fuse to the room and shorted out all power. ✓ Can’t find helpHi I have had these lights for about 6 months now. I have had so many problems with them however I have been able to figure them out. I have a problem now that I can’t fix, my phone stopped connecting to my lights. I’ve tried resetting my phone, re-downloading the app, playing with the strips, clearing data on my phone, etc. and still nothing. ✓ Would prefer my musicSo this works great with the LEDs and frankly the ways in which they work is awesome but the I was also hoping to be able to play my own music and the LEDs would react to it but instead there’s a set playlist of music and I only recognise one of the songs the others are Christmas and birthday music. The LEDs react when I’m on a call with someone but when I put on some music it does nothing and switches to microphone mode. The app is linked to my Apple Music so why can’t I pull some songs from there? ✓ Not very goodWhen I turned the lights on there was two separate colours on the same strip of led lights, so I don’t recommend buying these because I got very stressed they also fall down very easily so not for me. ✓ External mic function brokenI click to switch to external mic - this app SHOULD shut off the phone mic so that my phone can then broadcast the music to my Bluetooth speaker. But it DOES NOT. Both mic settings leave the mic open on the phone preventing the phone from broadcasting Bluetooth music and it plays ONLY from the phone speaker. MAJOR fail. Also the MUSIC function ONLY accesses ALL your iTunes music (can’t select folder?!?!) and ONLY play natively through your phone speaker - useless. It’s because the app can’t connect to 2 Bluetooth sources at once - the lights and your music device. Please fix these issues! Otherwise the app seems to work ok with just the light/color options. ✓ It never worksI got this specific light strip because it came with smartphone control, and the app has been the biggest letdown I could’ve asked for with this product. It only works for like 1 out of every 5 attempts to change the color or to turn the lights on and off. I also can’t get it to work outside of the room that the lights are in which I’m also very disappointed with. ✓ Not workingI’ve successfully connected with no issues. However, I need to turn it off and on every time I want to change the light colour or mode. Eg. Frustrated i threw it down and the the leds started flashing because of the microphone feature it took about 30 minutes for the leds to stop. The songs don’t even work. Also, if u have a roku tv don’t get these leds because the tv remote connects to the leds and it’s very annoying when i’m trying to watch tv. ✓ Not recommendedThe lights themselves *work*, but they are complicated to fix and majority of the settings don’t work in the app. Using certain settings, or even for me using the color white, sets my light strips into permanent strobe mode and there’s little to no solutions online. There’s also no “forget this device” in the settings, so that fix is out of the box, along with redownloading the app. I have two sets connected and the 2nd set is slightly off color, nothing crazy but noticeable. ✓ Bluetooth solutionI feel all your pain! Took me two hours to finally get results over the Bluetooth. iPhone 8. In settings, scroll down to where you see duoCo strip app listed. Click on it. This is where the phone allows the app to access your Bluetooth. If it is off, turn it on. If it is on, turn it off then back on. That’s the ticket. If it is on, turn it off, then back on. Return to the app and look under the Group Manage my device tab, your device ELK-RIpDomANew1 (?) should be listed. If not listed under my device then it’s not connected correctly. Must be listed to work. Try again. Then click on the light bulb to turn it green and then click on the chain link so it is not broken. Yes, a chain link must be showing linked. It’s like a Chinese puzzle! So, step by step… Plug in Bluetooth device and lights. Open settings and turn Bluetooth on by selecting your ELK- whatever. Wait for it to be connected. Open app. Go to Group Manage page and look under my device. Nothing is listed as you all know. Open settings, scroll down to duoCo strip and turn on or on off Bluetooth Return to app and look under my device… Should be listed Click bulb green Click chain link to be linked , not broken. ✓ Good but lacks some featuresBeen able to set the lights up on the phone is great and then it remembers how you configured them for when they are re powered. What would be great if it had a timer function, where you can set how long they stay on after being powered up and then at the set time, fade to off. Next having the ability to setup light profiles of your own, then you can quickly switch between different modes without needing to go through all the options when you’re wanting a different setup for a short period and then back to the setup you want every other day. This and if you could add the app to the Apple car play would make them a 5 star. Till then they are a great addition to the car as a footwell light..Version: 5.0.1

✓ They removed the green light and yellow colorsI’ve had no issue with these lights as far as the app goes. In fact, the app saved me from not being able to use them at all cause the controller the lights came with wasn’t working and never really did work. So now I’m causally changing the colors, and wanted green. And to my surprise, it’s not there. It doesn’t exist anymore. And I loved that color so much for how it looked in my room. I don’t understand why they might’ve excluded it, but I hope they bring it back in an update or something. Cause I really liked that color. And I just can’t fathom where and why they got the idea to remove it (I already tried uninstalling and installing the app to no success). Same goes for yellow. ✓ Works okColor wheel seems backwards. I’ve confirmed the wires are connected to the correct color and modified the pin sequence with no change. Some of the presets don’t display the correct color because of this and when I try and change the color on some of the wheels the wheel goes grey/un-responsive like others have mentioned. Otherwise it does work and I have not yet had the issue that others have had making them have to remove and reinstall the app..Version: 3.2.3

✓ Broke my AirPodsI wanted to try the music mode. While I did this I had my AirPods connected. The music mode was lacking and disappointing and tried to reconnect to my AirPods. Due to me using the Bluetooth mode and the music mode I glitched my phone and made me unable to connect to my AirPods. I attempted to fix this problem by resetting my phone/AirPods but this didn’t work. My AirPods did not work till 2 days later. Otherwise the LEDs are good and work fine..Version: 5.0.3

✓ Pretty niceThe color wheel works fine for me and I love the settings and different modes. One thing to fix is the mic, where the lights change color even if there’s no sound. And at first it said my Apple Music synced but my songs didn’t pop up but after a couple of days I clicked on the app and my song’s were there so I was happy about that. ✓ Color changingFirst of all it took forever to find out how to Bluetooth it onto my phone. Second of all it doesn’t change colors like I hoped. I will set it to a light pink on my phone and it will become white or I’ll put it on purple and it will be blue. Sometimes the lights don’t even match the color you selected on the color wheel. And I have 2 blues on my remote and they look identical. Maybe add more colors like a better purple because it kinda looks like pink. Also I don’t understand how to use the music, is it only that small selection? Other than that the lights aren’t bad. ✓ Minor Problems to fixI really wish I could connect my lights to my Apple Music. I am not happy with only using the music on the app. This was not portrayed when I bought it and it’s very un satisfying to play random music instead of my own Apple Music. Also, the color circle dosent work. If I select red on the circle I get yellow, or if I select Green I get a version of pink. However the lights work great, I really like the remote and the easiness of installing the lights. ✓ This has nothing to do with the TVI’m a sucker for the Facebook ads and saw that I could buy this product and have it interact with the colors on the screen. I thought to myself, ‘wow, how does that work?’ Long story short; it doesn’t. This product merely has you run audio though it’s app and the lights blink ....not what I was looking for. At the same time, THAT works pretty well, as long as you figure out the right sequence to turn things on. At the moment, it looks like I just bought my girlfriend a really expensive string of Christmas lights. ✓ No Blue?I had this pool light and app for a few years now. Only problem I have is the blue lights stop working, I don’t know if the settings are set wrong on my app, I know the blue lights work because every once in a while if I leave the light on in the pool for a few weeks with out opening the app, I think the light resets it’s self and the blue on the light will work, but as soon as I hook the light to app to turn the light off, the blue lights will stop working, and I don’t know how to get it back.
