WHAT TO EXPECT:
On the 1 – 1.5hr drive towards the Grand Canyon South Rim, listen to fascinating stories and a plan for exploring the Park.
We’ll make a quick geology recap interesting, share the achievements of a woman who shined in the male dominated field of architecture, tell you about some of the local wildlife, recount the drama of some unscrupulous entrepreneurs and direct you to where you can learn more about local Native American tribes.
Once inside the Park, we tour straight to the best viewpoints of Mather and Yavapai on a loop around Grand Canyon Village. Then our drive extends along Desert View Drive, to the many recommended viewpoints including Grandview, Lipan, Duck Rock, culminating with a visit to Desert View Watchtower.
The tour officially starts and ends at Williams, Flagstaff or Cameron. Or you can join and pick up the commentary anywhere along the route. Narration will automatically trigger at the next commentary point.

DOWNLOADING:

✗ Didn’t work for me at all.Even though the ap advertised no need for mobile data or WiFi, it didn’t work properly for me. As a UK resident travelling in the USA I wanted the Grand Canyon guide that worked without the need to access expensive mobile data or WiFi so it seemed the perfect option. The ap downloaded but then never played the audio functions automatically as described. I managed to get a few to play manually, checked my privacy settings and rebooted as instructed but it still didn’t work correctly. The ap offered help by suggesting I contact their assistance line on a public telephone free of charge... but by then I was already in the middle of a road trip and couldn’t be faffed with stopping to track down public pay phones. In the end, I gave up with this ap..Version: 2.1.5
