✓ Intense, challenging, way too short.Beautiful game. Suspenseful atmosphere. I loved it, it certainly fear and anxiety inducing. Audio and sound effects are spot on and play a huge role in Ripley and other crew member’s survival. With that being said, the current price is $4.99 with 7 or so missions. The game feels way to short for that price. I finished the game in a couple hours with all party members surviving. I don’t feel an urge to replay the game in its current state. The hide skill is overpowered. You can essentially hide all but one team member to complete the map objectives. Perhaps limit the hide skill to a limited number of seconds at a time vs infinite hiding. Or maybe the Alien can’t be fooled twice by a hiding crew member within a certain range. Forcing Ripley to retreat to another hiding spot would add another layer of angst. I love the Alien franchise and horror survivor genres, but I’ve gotten much longer gameplay from free or $0.99 games. This game has great potential..Version: 1.0.4
✓ This is pretty much alien isolation on mobileThe atmosphere is tense, eary and makes you think the alien is everywhere and the games play is SUPER stressful for the fact that while you are trying to save the crew of the ship your trying to escape with and all the buttons and stuff you need to press and suddenly the alien comes sprinting at you and you have to close the door behind you at full speed. If anyone knows someone who made the original, please, for all that is good in this world, tell them to make a sequel. It’s an amazing game.... This app game is not a FPS. This game follows Ripely after the Alien Isolation game. An alien managed to get on the ship she is on and she is hiding from the alien and while sending out SOS. A crew docks with the ship looking to make some repairs to their shuttle craft. Ripley, uses her abilities to tap into cameras and door locks while hiding in the air ducts. She aids the team while they try to complete objectives and avoid the alien. It’s a creative way to get an alien fix. But I still want an AI part 2 for the PC!! Please! Someone... ✓ Freaking great!So I’m a huge Alien fan, I’ve driven 2 and a half hours to see the original movie playing in theaters on a Wednesday work night when I had work at 6am the next day. So you can imagine my disappointment when the next Alien game to come out after Alien Isolation was a mobile game (especially after the Diablo immortal backlash). I couldn’t be happier with this game. Imagine 5 nights at Freddy’s, but it feels so much more organic than that. It doesn’t feel reactionary, and you can be more proactive in this. The music is great, and they have Amanda’s voice actor back to reprise her role. The music is spot on as well, and I felt a genuine sense of tension and dread as I watched my crew slowly walk down the hall as the creature suddenly blipped out of existence from the hall right next to the one he was walking down. It’s 5 bucks, and for a mobile game I’m incredibly satisfied..Version: 1.0.1

✓ LOVE THIS GAME....but a suggestion...This game for me is very intense and keeps me nervous when playing. I’ve had a lot of fun beating the main levels but after I beat it I wanted more. There should be a game mode (or some type of dlc) where you play as one of the crew and try to survive the alien as Amanda tells you what to do and where the alien is. We should be able to walk around and hide in places when the alien comes. It shouldn’t be where we have weapons to defend ourself (not like Alien: Isolation) but just mainly fixing the ship and doing it fast. I think that would be a very interesting concept, we should listen to Ripley but also do what we think is best for our survival. Just an idea guys, would love to see it come to light..Version: 2.0.0

✓ This game is amazingThis game is fun and challenging at the same time. It’s better if you have the lights off and headphones in for more spooky. The alien looks amazingly scary and cool looking and the game play is pretty smooth for the most part. Every once in a while an npc I fell to hide will accidentally run towards the alien (usually thorncroft, I don’t know why. He’s pretty slow for a scientist) they gameplay is obviously based around the classic fnaf. But putting fnaf and aliens together just sounds amazing in general and it is. The only problem I have with the game is that it’s kind of hard to tell multiple people to hide at the same time and this usually gets them killed. ✓ Much better than I first thoughtLet it be known that Alien Isolation is one of the most terrifyingly intense games I’ve ever played and I can’t get enough of it even after 4-5 play throughs. When I heard there was a sequel I was very excited. I was less excited when I realised it was going to be a mobile game because I knew it wouldn’t be the same as Isolation. I bought it none the less and on my first play though I picked it up and almost immediately put it down thinking it was not for me. I would periodically come back to read a few reviews on the App Store saying good things about the game so I picked it up a second time just a couple days ago and I was hooked. It was intense and terrifying in its own way and I’m really glad I gave it a second chance. I love where the story is going and can’t wait to explore any further instalments that come out, be they console or mobile based. tldr: Don’t deny this game outright because of its differences to Isolation. ✓ 5 STARS!!I think this is an amazing game, and I love every little thing about it, it’s just insanely incredible that it’s on mobile, and I would recommend this game to anyone. Now there would be some nice touches like when a crew member dies blood goes on the wall or their body just lays there bleeding out what’s left, also if you could be a crew member and walk around trying to avoid and and a.i. OR EVEN MULTIPLAYER Can be the at the panel. Like voice chat and their voice is distorted like an affect and they can help you and guide you. ✓ Soooo goodOn playing alien isolation and it becoming the best game I’ve ever played I was sooooo sad that the sequel was on a phone and not the 14 hour game that we had in alien isolation however as much as I find it sad this game actually blew me away completely and it was such a good sequel! ✓ Great Game with Great AtmosphereThis game was a lot of fun to play. The game really captures the atmosphere of the franchise. The animations were really great, and it definitely is scary. I never got on board with this style of game, but the Alien theme really works here. There are 7 levels to play through, which seems a little short. However the somewhat randomness of the game adds a good amount of replay ability. I was never lucky (unlucky?) enough to have one of the characters die onscreen, so I can’t vouch for the visuals there, but the game is fun. There was a neat “plot twist” that occurs in one of the last few levels of the game, but it is completely abandoned in the next level. There is no mention of it. Like it never happened. That left me a bit confused, and the story a little bit disjointed. However, I only had 1 crew member left. Perhaps I needed more alive for them to discuss it? (Didn’t feel that way) Overall, in reality $5 isn’t that much for the amount of work that went into the game. It truly is an excellent game. The developer should be proud. ✓ Really good but a bit too hard.I have made it to the last level except now I only have one survivor after playing and playing the last level I have come to notice that it is almost impossible because the alien is hacking and finding the survivors in their hiding spots. Also it has been walking through walls. So please have difficulty setting and fix the with bugs. But it is a really good game it is one of my favorites so good job on your masterpiece. ✓ Scary game!This game is really scary. Which is cool for what it is. The graphics are some of the best I’ve ever seen on a phone, and the gameplay creates a lot of tension. It takes place right after alien isolation and really gets the same vibe as that game. The game controls a little bit like five nights at Freddy’s except you have to move these guys across the area without dying, which really makes you feel responsible when one of them dies. My only problem is how short the game is, I believe there is only like 5-6 levels. But unlike fnaf, every stage has a different map, objectives, and places where the alien can get you. ✓ I rarely rate 5 starsNow this game has me in awe. I never expected a mobile game to get this good. I am a big fan of alien isolation and I have beaten it in every single difficulty. I knew that this game was the sequel but I didn’t expect what happened. I won’t tell any spoilers by this is my new favorite game and I play it anytime I can. It is not too scary for me (don’t worry it is still scary as heck but I’m used to it) and it’s smooth and has you on edge. When I first saw the alien I did actually scream because I didn’t expect to see it that early because I’m alien isolation you don’t actually get to see the alien until after an hour of gameplay. ✓ I love it!I was skeptical to say the least when I saw that there was an Alien Isolation spin-off coming to Mobile. After all, it is probably one of my favorite games of all time, and mobile has a tendency to ruin good IPs... But I am pleasantly surprised to see that the mobile game subverted my low expectations by capturing the same atmosphere and tension as the console game. They definitely got a few scares out of me which I didn’t expect from a mobile game, and overall I just find it to be a surprisingly fitting addition to the universe. I would happily buy a sequel of this mobile game as well. Overall I just find the game to be unique, graphically satisfying, and fun. Managing your fear and uncertainty with limited resources is such a satisfying treat, especially when you implement a plan and it is successful. They manage to keep the difficulty of the original game and capture that whole “oh... she got me again. Not this time Alien!” feeling I got from the first game. Really really have to applaud you dev team for the work you put into this game. It is clearly a labor of love and well worth the asking price in my opinion..Version: 2.0.0
✓ An Unpredictable Alien that keeps you on your toesAlien: Isolation is one of those horror games that really impressed me and I long wanted a sequel so I was eager when I heard an indirect sequel was being made I jumped at the chance to jump on board and continue Amanda Ripleys story. Beautiful graphics and an intuitive UI really gives you that feel of the Alien Universe, one that is dark and gritty. The story is perfect and being placed in charge of a group of survivors who you must navigate to survival all the while trying to avoid an unpredictable Alien who never does the same thing twice as well as survive yourself, immerses you in a wonderful story. I like the mobile controls and would have liked a Console sequel but this game is equally as satisfying. It’s a game that requires a lot of deep thinking and the one off cost means no other purchases which is good so you can play this to your hearts content. I hope they carry on Amanda Ripleys story in some other form. I feel bridging the gap between Alien and Aliens is doing justice and is finding a way do carry on the franchise without tiring it out. ✓ Don’t move fast enoughWhen you are looking at the vents to see where the alien is coming out of to kill you you don’t move fast enough to check both vents. I love how it incorporates mechanics similar to five nights at Freddy’s while adding a few new ones. I managed to make it through every level with full crew after a few retries. I love how in the last level all the coolant is venting making it even harder to find the Alien. ✓ Great game but can you could expand!So it is a visually striking game with great animations for a great price however I think you could expand. New missions: Savior mission: you and your team go onto the ship in a first person multiplayer view and have to save people who are stuck on the ship and kill the aliens if you need to and make sure they don’t die while a mpc gives you instructions on where to go in the security paddock having the ability to open the doors. Savior mission variant 2: this would be a mission in the jungle where you have to go with your multiplayer team to investigate the cite and find and clues then survive the aliens and watch your teams back. Savior mission variant 3: so you and your team is in one the hardest positions you must search the giant xenomorph pod area from the movie where multiple aliens come out of the grotesk breeding walls made of slime and goup from the xenomorph and there is a alien queen hiding within. These don’t need to be added and I’m not trying to ruin the main part of the game I just think it could be expanded on..Version: 2.0.0
✓ Better than my first pessimistic expectationsThe game is actually pretty tight. Creepy and tense atmosphere, decent simple controls, and a cool story. At first I thought that they were going to go down the usual mobile game Freemium route but the flat 5.00 dollar price is a welcome relief. There’s one big problem that I noticed while playing that allows the gameplay to become an almost trivial affair though. The alien AI is surprisingly easy to cheese with the doors. If you can cut it off at a door and reopen it when it wanders off to find an alternate route then it will try to go to the door again. You can catch it in a loop by constantly opening and closing the same door and effectively contain it to a single room with a motion tracker most of the time with this method. This makes surviving the game with all survivors relatively easy and can kill the mood dramatically. But still, very cool concept game with some Five Nights at Freddy’s style gameplay and good graphics and atmosphere. Not perfect but a solid alien experience especially for a mobile game..Version: 1.0.4

It has obviously had a lot of good work done on it in terms of voice acting, suspense and story and acts as a direct sequel to Alien isolation. I’m impressed by the graphics and real time movement of the alien and other characters within the game and the very cleverly implemented mobile gaming system. I was initially worried that a game like isolation would suffer being on mobile but the dev team have done an excellent job recreating the fear and tension of the console game on mobile. ✓ Nails AtmosphereAlien is my favorite everything, so I am always inclined to view anything Alien favorably. That said, I hate mobile games. So this is not an ideal pairing for me. My iPhone 7 screen is too small. Period. I am enjoying the game on my iPad 2 Mini, though. The graphics are solid, and the atmosphere is excellent—in-line with Alien (movie) and Alien: Isolation. Like everyone else, I wish we had gotten a full-blown console/PC Alien game, but I commend the developers for building this game around a singular mechanic that is both fitting for a mobile game and serves the Alien aesthetic well. The length of the game is great, as it does not overstay its welcome. I experienced no technical problems, and the $5.00 price (complete game, no microtransactions) feels fair. ✓ Great game, but could improveI have played this game and found it quite heart racing, thrilling, tedious, and so much fun with strategy! I absolutely enjoy the controls and directions you can tell the passengers to do. I also found a plus when you can detect the alien through the passengers ping. I like this game but I would like if this game felt like a Game with an actually story. For instance more cutscenes, audio that actually fits the characters action, and just the start of opening the app to actually dying when the alien opens its mouth and rushes at me; needs to be more scary feeling. ✓ Great Game, Little ExpensiveI loved the game, extremely fun, I already beat it, with a full crew... and that’s it... there’s no replay-ability, it’s super fun first time through but do to its limited capabilities I wish it was a little cheaper, or something to do after beating the game. Still recommend it really fun, there’s so much more I could say about the amazing graphics and terrifying moments as you shut the door right before the alien gets a crew member, or the sound and look taking me back to gripping my control with sweaty hands in Alien Isolation. ✓ Solid Alien Game: “Game on, man!”Tense, atmospheric and anxiety inducing (in a good way). And the sound design is top-notch. I just think the graphics could be tweaked to look better on my iPad Pro 10.5 and improve the animations. Their mouths don’t move when they talk, and also when they move they look kind of stiff, which can result in some cheap deaths, imo. And I agree with that other reviewer: can we see some cool death scenes like it shows in the previews? An Alien game should have blood/gore along with the claustrophobic tension! Other than some graphical/animation issues I love it. I’m on chapter 5 and it really feels like I’m inside the Alien universe. I love the idea of this game, I love the concept of it, and it’s great that it fits into the storyline. But my only complaint with this game is that it’s a bit unfair. I love games that are hard and challenging, but it’s a bit unfair. It’s hard to avoid and hide from a Xenomorph that pops out of the vents at random times and can’t detect it. ✓ Finally a good mobile game!!!Alien: Blackout is a really great game. It constantly kept me on the edge of my seat as I struggled to keep a track on it. My only problem with the game is it’s lack of game modes, which means after I beat the game I realised there wasn’t much I could really do. I would love to see an endless mode, or a mode where you can create levels for other players. But I also think there should be an alternate story mode where you get to play as the alien, and navigate it through the maps to try and find survivors. It is incredible challenging and literally keeps you on your toes!!! A few times I screamed from not checking my surroundings and not listening carefully. Really really good on iPad i find, I’ve played on my phone and its just really small and hard to make certain things out in darker areas. Headphones are a MUST. Previously phone games would get me hooked for maybe a couple days and I’d forget I ever installed it. This game is nothing like any other mobile game I’ve ever played. ✓ Terrifying and stressfulThis game delivers on its horror promise and it sure is not afraid to show it. The voices sound authentic, the ai is unpredictable ( alien decides to randomly run across the map and jump into a vent to attack me lol), the animations and character designs are great and this is all packed into a mobile game that has no micro transactions. The only thing I wish to see in the future of this game is for a no timer option or mode and a difficulty setting so this game could fit a players comfort zone ( in case they can’t pass a level). Also a no timer option would be great for me I’m too cautious and slow and this constantly generates extra stress ( which I think is the point.) but eventually the stress out ways the horror of the game( which takes the fun out for me ). ✓ Very scary but very funI’m having a blast with this game. The Alien IP is perfect for this kind of gaming experience, and the developers did an awesome job bringing it to a reality in Blackout. I have my misgivings about mobile games and their increasing dominance in today’s market, but Blackout has in some ways quieted those fears. While gaming experiences are undeniably more engrossing on a PC or console, this game still gave me goosebumps and made my heart race (like any good horror game on other platforms). The drop in graphics quality from a PC or console was also a nonfactor in Blackout; the game is engaging not because of eye-popping visuals but because of its thrilling atmosphere. The voice acting is the big highlight in my opinion. It is superb for a mobile game. I almost feel like I’m taking part in another installment in the Alien film franchise! I’ve only had one instance of the game bugging out, when I told one of my crew to hide right as the Alien rounded the corner. For some reason the crew member didn’t die but instead cowered as the Alien went round and round in circles in the room indefinitely. Again, it’s only happened once. ✓ Scary, Intense or Frantic fun?Since this game was ‘a new chapter of the alien franchise’ I thought it would be more like Alien: Isolation, but on iPhone. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Instead of being placed on the front line, you’re sat inside one of the space ships air ducts, helping the rest of your crew to safety. This may not sound like a good approach for a horror game, especially one which is meant to be intense and frightening. However, frantically looking through cameras and positions of all of your crew is all still fun, if not as scary or as being chased by an alien yourself. There are times, though, where the games really is meant to scare. Times where the alien actually comes into the vents in order to target YOU is death-defying and freakishly fun, as you are forced to look around at which vent the alien could be coming from. It didn’t get the best looks from a lot of people that were looking forward to playing a new alien game on a different console but I didn’t let it sway my anticipation. As a person that has read a lot of the material covering the lore and exploring everything I can get my hands on that is Alien related, I was quite pleased with the intro and what I’ve played in the story so far. ✓ It’s fun but a little annoying.It’s an nice take on the genre, multitasking is pretty on point. Instead of helping yourself, you gotta also check the others. The only problems is being unable to skip the intro cutscene and when you restart or lose a level you have to listen to all that dialogue again. The crew has a really weird pathing when it comes to being chased. Also it would be nice if the crew could have a larger hearing radius, it’s tends to be unfair if the Alien was around the corner with no warning. Since the alien has 3 movement types (Stealth, Normal, Fast) I kinda wish I could pinpoint where the alien is when it decides to sprint. Cause you’ll get no time to react if it wanders into a room with no camera or sensor. I mean after all it’s a phone game, but I was PLEASANTLY surprised by the quality, craftsmanship, time and effort that went into making this game feel like it’s something right out of the movie! Great intro graphics Voice actors sounds incredibly like the voice actor from alien isolation and like she is Ripleys daughter from the films Love the old typing sound and font style on the screens like you would see in the movies and on computers from that time. The Alien looks so much like the film aliens. The action starts right away which is refreshing since there is no boring, uninteresting intro. I love that Amanda can control everything through the area she is in and help the newly docked arrivals. The music in between is beautiful and eerie, a great choice for this type of suspenseful game. You’ll be clenching your jaw and gripping the edge of your seat, it’s truly just as scary and suspenseful as the movies the levels may seem short but they are extremely well crafted, thought out and executed. ✓ BEST GAME EVERI just have to say I love this game. I love the good graphics and the increasing difficulty as you go on. But I have noticed that their mouths don’t move when the talk so they look a little stiff. Well I am a huge alien fan and so far, your game is the best xenomorph game in the App Store. I highly suggest you make more alien games. Oh and one question did the people who made alien isolation work with you because this game is good. Thank you for making this awesome game. It would be cool if there was like a mode where you Were a alien queen and you had to guide the xenomorph to kill the crew. Also maybe add some kill animations because I saw the alien kill some one and they just disappear. Other wise this is a great game! Keep up the good work guys and hope you make more alien games! ✓ Great potentialThis game is amazing. It’s fun, challenging, and puts me on a roller coaster of anxiety and relief constantly. Although it’s so entertaining and interactive I feel like you would draw a larger crowd and make more profit as well as players happy if you added someway for A. Ripley to walk around like in Isolation. But it doesn’t have to be a shooter she should just be able to hide open close doors on etc... Or a mode that makes it possible to control one of the crew members in first person and switch back and forth between them and Ripley as you try to navigate the station and unlock doors and complete objectives. ✓ Better than you thinkI’m a huge fan of the alien franchise and alien isolation, so when it was announced to be a mobile title I was very sceptical. But now that I got it I realise it’s great! Don’t be hateful just cause you wanted a console sequel to isolation. This game is worth it. My only problem is that on my old iPad I’m getting a little bit of visual lag, very small. ✓ Not too bad!I’m still yearning for Alien: isolation 2, but this game is not bad at all. Definitely has the same bones as FNAF, but I think it’s a lot better than that. Definitely very intense when guiding this crew through the station and satisfying when you complete a level. I just think there needs to be more levels to the game as you can get through the most of it pretty quickly. Even if it’s challenge maps like isolation had after you beat it. All in all this game got a pretty bad stigma when it was announced, and yeah I do want isolation 2, but this game is actually pretty good and worth your time..Version: 1.0.1

✓ Alien blackoutThe game is beautiful the graphics look amazing they are like Alien isolation sound is beautiful the game gives me those alien isolation vibes and that’s good for a 4.99$ game but if it’s not going to get modes or anything new to the game to keep you playing it more more it won’t be worth it but in the end it’s an amazing game great job you guys can’t wait to see what’s next for the alien games and hope to see something like this again but a horror shooter that would be awesome. I have some ideas you guys can add to the game to bring more attention to the game add an extreme mode where there are more aliens to watch out for. A mode to play as Ripley moving around the ship trying to get the new playable areas to help other survivors out like isolation but with no weapons only your light. The game to me is a 9/10 it has potential with the sound voice acting atmosphere but the game needs more content to get me into the game more and add a little blood to it. ✓ Actually a great gameI thought coming into this that it’s not going to be great, even though their previous game alien isolation was perfect. I thought that maybe they shouldn’t make mobile games but turns out I was wrong, and they made a wonderful alien game on mobile. ✓ Solid and challengingI’ve seen a lot of comments on here complaining that it is too challenging, but let’s be honest, if you want an easy game then don’t play this one. So many games in the App Store are easy, bubblegum style games, but this game is for people that want a challenge. The graphics are delightful, I feel like it takes you back to the original Alien and Aliens’ style atmosphere which adds to the tension. This is an INTENSE game, it’s supposed to be challenging, I really like it. The only thing that I don’t like is that you can’t skip the dialogue if you go back and have to redo a level, but that is just me being picky and I can totally live with that. ✓ Add another alien game!If the developers see this review I really wanted you to make an aliens blackout sort of game with lots of the same graphics but the player is running around and there’s multiple aliens and you have to shoot them and they got acid blood so if you shoot them acid can spray on you and I has the fachuggers and the face hugger egg.
