Tripsy: Travel Planner for Positive User Reviews

Great AppThis app is much better than others I have tried, very eassy to navigate and back ground pictures are fanatastic or use your own, I sometimes have an issue with importing reservations however the app gives you the option to move it to a planned trip and isn't much of an issue to set up the trip from it. I also like the option to add past trips as a memory reminder. The document storage is fantastic as you can upload anything and either assign it to the itinerary or store it for access later when needed.Version: 2.15.9

Great app!I bought the lifetime membership, it’s that good. Game changer for my busy travel schedule!.Version: 2.14.3

Such a great app, but just shy of amazingTripsy is such a beautiful app, and the way it puts together the list and map views are great. So much better than any other travel planning app I’ve used in the past. I’ve recently completed a weekend road trip and used Tripsy to plan and organise and test the app. Overall the experience was fantastic and I would definitely use it again. However, a few small things get in the way of it being a must have and potentially justifying its subscription price annually. It seems email confirmation recognition works on a template basis from known services. This means that it cannot parse emails from non-standard or bespoke booking confirmations - of my weekend trip this means that only 4 of the 10 bookings I made could be added automatically. It’d be nice to be able to differentiate between things like Restaurants and Cafes or Specialty Food Shops. Like, knowing we’re planning on getting a coffee is a different use-case in my mind to having a reservation at a restaurant. For example, if a friend gives me a recommendation for a great coffee shop or a cafe that does amazing cookies, it would be good to be able to see that separated from a restaurant reservation - especially because you don’t plan a time to go but its a key thing to fit into an agenda for your trip. Would be great to see if it could recommend locations to the System in the same way that calendar events can. So when you get into the car and you see CarPlay recommendations it could be the next place you’re planning on going - the existing feature to share with your calendar doesn’t seem to allow you to tap the address to get to your location in the Maps app in the car. Also - it would be cool to see a checklist for what to pack - particularly if it could recommend things based on what you’re doing (e.g ‘Don’t forget to pack bathers because you’re going to a pool’) Finally, I am always happy to pay for quality apps, but I feel like the pricing structure doesn’t work too well for someone who only takes a few short trips a year. Rather than paying Monthly having an option to pay a small fee to just plan a single trip rather than subscribe for a full year - when the amount of trips don’t justify it. Overall, despite these feedback points, I’d highly recommend the app over anything else I’ve tried and will continue to use it for future trips..Version: 2.8.4

Will not travel without itIt helps me keep everything in one place! If i can ask for 2 things: - Make it easier to move items between trips - Add more places to the search.Version: 2.15.13

Great Travel AppFinished a 3 country Euro Trip. Stored my lodging, flight, and tour details. Was so convenient to have one place with all the info for the trip. I shared the trip info with my family, and thus avoided lots of questions like ‘what are we doing today’. Great job..Version: 2.15.11

FinallyThe email forwarding works as well as an other trip app. Where it shines is the UI. The home tab is elephant and intuitive. Manuals adding an itinerary is easy and is importing pictures of confirmation or QR code’s. Plus all the map and guide elements if you need those. It’s the best so far and I e used them all, over a lot of miles. Safe travels.Version: 2.5.8

Amazing App!Probably one of the best itinerary apps I’ve ever used. Very intuitive and easy to use, and the options (museum, cafe, relax, etc.) that you can add onto your itinerary are just great. The price for premium is a little expensive but if you’re the “planner” of the group and no one else needs to see the itinerary the free version has everything you need. One feature I wish the app had was the ability to export the maps it creates to Google Maps. If it had that option I’d definitely give to five stars..Version: 2.15.9

Essential for travelA really solid travel organization app. All the nice features you want. If you travel it’s easily worth the subscription price..Version: 2.16.12

Best Travel App!What an amazing app for travelling. I should have purchased it when it was still cheaper, now the features are more amazing than they used to. Customer service is admirable. Thank you for your amazing work developing Tripsy..Version: 2.7.0

Fantastic AppThis app is just the absolute best I've found. With the help of this app I have managed to organise a 2 week fly-drive trip to Las Vegas and the surrounding area, to include 8 different hotels and multiple tours, trips and stops along the way. This is so easy to set up and to use. You receive an email with your booking details, you forward that to the Tripsy email address and within seconds it's automatically added to your itinerary. Wow, just wow. Absolutely fantastic. I was hesitant at first because of the subscription; like, what another one? But for me this was really worth it to help me organise my next holiday. You can download the app and build your itinerary for free, but there are certain functions that you can only use with a sub, like emailing Tripsy to add a booking to your itinerary, and syncing with your calendar to name just two. The latter adds an event to your calendar for everything on your itinerary so that you don't forget. Awesome, and saves so much time! But the free part of the app gives you enough insight to help you to decide whether or not this app is for you, and whether to subscribe. This app has been very well thought-out, and very well designed. In my view this is certainly worth subscribing to, even if temporarily. I highly recommend it..Version: 2.14.3

Great appGreat app the interface is pleasant and easy to use very “Appleish” downside is $50 a year.Version: 2.16.2

Travel Scheduling at its BestI enjoy using Tripsy. It’s easy to forward confirmations to plan it email and update an itinerary. It’s great for reservations, confirmations and activities.... . I wish there were more activities options of like workout, hiking, drive time. I wish flight list has more detail with layover time. Feature Requests: way to scan and add Boarding pass & Baggage tag to flight so it can be display as text and barcode. Also driving time between two location. Overall, I enjoy using it. I love how easy to share the itinerary with people without any account..Version: 2.12.1

GreatGreat app to plan any trips! User friendly interface. I love it!.Version: 2.9.10

Great app!Really love this app so far! Great integration with flights and the layout is really nice. One suggestion - it would be nice to add an “other” option so I can choose an activity that’s not listed, possibly with custom icons to choose from too. Also, when clicking on a location (in an activity), it opens in maps but adds an “)” to the end. For example, if the location is “Home”, when I click it, maps opens but inputs “Home)”. Look forward to many more great features!.Version: 1.4.2

Beautiful AppIt has everything you could possibly need to organize a trip. I have been using it to plan my trip to Montana and it’s WONDERFUL. It looks like an app that Apple built itself. No complaints..Version: 2.3.1

Tripsy is a great app…Unfortunately it doesn’t make coffee on mornings !.Version: 2.8.4

Amazing! An amazing app with a beautiful interface. Would love to see: The ability to add custom activities with changeable icons and colours. To be able to add a header image or even multiple images to an activity. To change the main trip view to a more simpler list view (I find the current ‘grid’ layout can get a bit cluttered especially when you have several different activities). So far a great experience! Can’t wait to see what is added next!.Version: 2.10.10

Beautiful, essential app for my travelsI only discovered Tripsy recently but it’s fast becoming one of my favourite essential apps. I travel frequently and it’s so helpful having all my flight details, hotel reservations and other documents gathered in one place. No more frantically searching through my inbox ahead of a trip! However, two things set this app apart from alternatives for me. I love the design of the app and the selection of stock photos that can be assigned for locations I’m visiting. It allows me to create a visual calendar of my upcoming trips. Also, the developers have been incredibly responsive and helpful in terms of support. There was an initial aspect of the app I was confused by so I emailed support on a Sunday and wasn’t expecting to hear back for a few days. But I got a really helpful, clear reply the same day. I then had another issue around the subscription and Rafael got back to me really fast and couldn’t have been more helpful in his attitude. Based on my positive experience during the 7 day trial, I’ve subscribed for a year as it feels the developers are really committed to evolving the app and also genuinely listening to feedback and addressing ideas and issues..Version: 2.1.1

Good tool to planned your vacation or tripJust finish the trip with my family for 3 country and this app really help me to keep every timely planned and tracked. App let you share with family that helps so family can change or know whole plan. Did year membership I wish I have bought for life time as I will be amusing again and again. Already planning the trip with my father for National park. Good app..Version: 2.15.11

The new version of this is the first app 😄0123456789 of the most important thing to do with this is a great app and it has an excellent new version and I can get more.Version: 2.6.8

Love! Was looking for a simple app to plan my itinerary for my trip to Europe. Although you have to enter things manually I didn’t mind and it didn’t take me very long. Everything is simple, organized, and aesthetically pleasing. Makes things much easier than a travel app or your notes app. Would recommend if you don’t want something super complex and just want a basic layout of your trip..Version: 2.10.6

A Genuine LifesaverThis app was recommended to me on the Mac App Store and I thought I’d give it a look in as I have a trip to Exeter, Devon coming up soon. I am really impressed with it - I’ve been able to plan all my activities down to specific times and add details all in one place. And this is on the free version! I purchased premium so I could make full use of the app for this trip - just 2.99 for the first couple of months. This is all I need it for as I don’t travel too much currently (thanks to you-know-what). The free version has no ads and doesn’t push for you to upgrade like most other apps. It’s super clean and just works. Absolutely no issues! Can’t rate this enough, thanks to the team behind it for helping me out with my upcoming trip 😊.Version: 2.6.6

Great Customer supportHad a couple issues (which were by my own fault) and support was quick and helpful. Easy and great app to use!.Version: 1.4.2

Love but..Left adjust times please and show end time as well. Allow for customizable category icons and colors. Ability to add photo and trip description at top of itinerary.Version: 2.15.9

Great toolThis is the best trip planner I’ve found so far. The email to Tripsy feature makes starting a trip itinerary so quick and painless, and the map integrations are great. I live that there is a back app and a phone app. Mac app is perfect for planning from my desk, but then the phone app is perfect once you leave the on the trip. Two features I think are missing that would really complete this app: a budgeting feature. The ability to set a budget for a trip and then to add costs to activities, and the ability to add a checklist for things like packing lists, and to set up template checklists that can be used over and over. Overall I love this app..Version: 2.14.3

ExtraordinaryWowww. What a good travel app. Very easy going and with all the information and set up for the best experience travel management.Version: 2.17.5

How do I delete a file from an activityThank you for what you’ve got so far—it’s a really great start! How do I delete a file from an activity without deleting the entire activity and having to start all over? I’ve got a car trip, and have a file attached that is a screenshot of a route between the two points. I have decided to go a different way, and have inserted the screenshot of route 2, but can’t figure out how to delete route 1. I don’t want to start all over because I also have fairly long notes, and three other screenshots of sights along the way. Can it be done, and if not, please add that capability in an upcoming update. Also, on the car routes, would it be possible to add intermediary stops between the endpoints? Then I wouldn’t need the Google Maps screenshots. Update: Thank you for your quick response, letting me know that files can be individually deleted by using a long hold on the file name. I’m happy! Still want intermediary stops on car routes. I’m glad they’re on your radar..Version: 2.14.3

Great tool for travelThis is a great tool for trip planning and the collaboration capabilities are really good. I do wish there was a way to tag our cast custom activities to help better with filtering. For example if like to be able to tag certain restaurants I’ve added as “Bagels” or “Breakfast”. Or sometimes I’ll even just add a bunch of locations with no specified times but would like some kind of higher priority indicator for certain locations. Great nonetheless.Version: 2.15.11

Looked Promising but..Looked like a great app. I personally hate subscriptions. There’s no way I can justify 40 a year or a one time purchase for $150 for what seems to be features that other apps include for free and for stuff that is just a matter of convenience. The real problem no one is addressing is Apple taking 30%. If Apple dropped that to 10-15%. Developers wouldn’t charge as much and I might actually subscribe to some of these apps. Maybe one day.Version: 2.5.4

Almost Perfect!!!I am a huge planner, and I love being organized. Trips he allows you to not only plan out your travel, but keep all of your information in one place. The only thing needed to make this five stars for me is the addition of an option to add receipts and photo albums. I would love to be able to use this as a travel journal along with a travel planner and go back and look at my trips after I’ve taken them. I feel like it would be pretty easy to add that in as another option..Version: 2.8.1

Great concept! My wife and I were planning our anniversary trip to NYC and we were looking to cram as much sightseeing in 3 days as possible. I came across this app accidentally and the layout was easy to use and helped us tremendously in keeping track of our daily activities. You can view the entire trip or select specific categories (i.e. restaurant, lodging, bar and party) so you don’t can pull up exactly what you need to look at. You even have a map view that shows pins of everything listed. Overall very impressive concept!.Version: 2.9.6

Funitude! This app has one of the most intuitive user interfaces I’ve experienced. I really had fun planning a trip. The app actually searched and detected the flights I have by flight number. I can tell the developers of this app thought thoroughly about the user experience. Funitude: The quality of something being enjoyable to use beyond its utility..Version: 2.10.12

Really goodCool app. Nice clean interface for creating trips. One thing missing is dragging and dropping / reordering of activities. Also maybe a section to hold interested places which are not yet on your itinerary. Keep up the good work..Version: 2.0.3

Best trip organizing app!One of the best apps to keep your trip organized all in one place. UI is beautiful and works flawlessly. One suggestion: ability to customize categories would be great!.Version: 2.6.6

Breath of fresh air!I think I tried almost every group travel planning app in the store and on the web, and Tripsy is by far the best for group leisure travel planning. It handles all the fundamentals of planning a trip gracefully and intuitively, without the clutter and noise so prevalent in this category. I can think of a few nonessential features that Tripsy lacks, like expense tracking, shared check-lists, and ability to add notes to a date. But Tripsy delivers on the fundamentals of travel planning – which all work seamlessly and intuitively to provide a great user experience – in a way that no other app currently does. Highly recommend!.Version: 2.16.10

Every vacation detail in one place!Every single flight, hotel reservation, excursion conveniently located in one place chronologically. This app is a dream for anyone that wants to be organized or has a busy trip scheduled. Fabulous app, I just can’t say enough about it! I would recommend to all!.Version: 2.15.13

The app is very good, but still have space to improveSo just used a few days, if ignore the cost (well, the “not very good” cost for this app really a problem), the app is still very good. However, there are some problem should be improve: First, the time input for events looks having glitch, which sometimes I unable to input correct time (for example: when I input 2:45pm, the app will mistakenly store 3:45pm, and will remain this wrong time no matter how I edit them). This problem currently only find on my Mac version. Second, for flights information, will we have chance to edit the Aircraft type in future update?.Version: 2.15.9

Bug while setting date and timeI am new to this, and I am creating my trip to Mexico, after I set activties start and end time, it shows 1 hours and 1 day different, so I has to change the time zone, and redo the time and day 3times to make it right.... that's seems wasting my time, but I don't want to get it wrong to confuses myself.Version: 2.12.5

Overall helpful app for travellingGreat app for travelling which helps you organise your planned activities. Helpful features that could be added include allowing certain activities that you choose to be available in map view as well as allowing you to see distances and transport information between destinations in the app itself rather than having to open either Google maps or Apple maps..Version: 2.16.10

SuggestionSuch a brilliant app, the only planner you’ll need. One thing that would be good, is the option to have Reminders or a checklist similar to how Apple Reminders work. So that users can create lists of things in a more user friendly way than in documents..Version: 2.15.11

Awesome trip plannerUpdate as of end 2023: It’s just getting better and better. Original review: I’ve tried many trip planners and Tripsy is hands down the best. Very user friendly and works well. Love how well it gets the forwarded itineraries (except for parking sometimes :) ). Indispensable travel partner for me..Version: 2.18.0

Great start but missing featuresThe app is great to keep track of travel details, but it’s missing a few features and functionality to make it the best. Things like adding car parking/ airport car parking. Also improving the import of information from emails, there’s lots of instances where information hadn’t been carried over from emails and has to be filled in manually..Version: 2.13.0

Best app ever!!Definitely will continue to use this app. I love the in app map feature, makes it so easy to get to places..Version: 2.16.6

Amazing Find!I’ve never created an itinerary before and I took a chance on looking for an app. I found this one and decided to try it, I am happy I did! I’m currently using the free version and it has a lot of great features. If I continue to travel, I’m definitely considering purchasing the pro version..Version: 2.15.9

Compelling but needs workI was evaluating this app as a replacement for TripIt. It’s a good travel app overall but is currently missing too much functionality for me to keep using: - Many details can’t be edited after creation without deleting the activity and recreating it from scratch. - No notifications or flight updates. It sometimes seems to update times if a flight is delayed, and other times not. In all cases it doesn’t notify you or indicate in any way that the flight time has changed. - No way to stay on the itinerary View. Even switching away from the app will close it. - No API for third-parties like Flighty to import trip info. - Entering flight details is clumsy. You have to format them just right and then the lookup is very slow and sometimes just fails. If a flight’s details can’t be found by the app, you are not able to add it at all. You can’t for instance just enter the flight name, number and times manually. - No way to have the app open into the current trip by default. It always opens to the list showing all current and future trips. Overall it’s promising and I might revisit in a year or so, but back to TripIt for now..Version: 2.12.7

Transformed my travel!I love this app. It has transformed how I travel!! I tried out several different apps before finding Tripsy, but Tripsy has the best user interface. The ability to view everything on the map has been so helpful when deciding what activity to do next based on proximity. My only suggestion for improvement would be being able to create custom categories or activities. Sometimes I’d like to be more specific than just something like “fitness,” especially if we are doing lots fitness type activities in a single trip (golfing, hiking, etc)..Version: 2.16.11

Very promising... might upgrade to ProThe app looks promising as far as the functionality is concerned. There will alsways be room for improvement... I am using the free version for now to test it for an upcoming trip next year. There are a few shortcomings... the app didn't find a major 5* hotel and I had to resort to entering the details manually. Entering the flight number pulled in the flight details from the web. I also like the map view. I am not so impressed by the design. Some areas look a bit old fashioned and on the iPad/Mac the doesn't make good use of the bigger real estate of the screen. On the iPhone I would like the option to customise the trip main screen (font size etc.)..Version: 2.17.9

Amazing App with Awesome DevsI started using Tripsy before they introduced email forwarding for flights. Since then, the devs behind this app have kept pushing out amazing updates and it just keeps getting better and better. With any vacation or trip we take we plan with Tripsy. It has been a lifesaver. Love it! Keep up the great work..Version: 2.12.3

Good for band tour planning tooI’ve been looking for a light alternative to the Master Tour planning app for a while now, especially one that the tour manager can organize through a native iOS app. From my testing this is looking like a great option, and I look forward to using it on the road. My only suggestions are for better external keyboard input for setting event time and durations (I can type a time faster than using a scrolling time picker), and for an automatic route mapping visual between events/cities..Version: 2.0.3

First Class CitizenThis app is so beautifully designed, it looks like Apple could have made it! It’s a delight to use and all the features are clever and well implemented. My only regret is that I don’t travel often enough to use it regularly!.Version: 2.3.0

Annoying OversightI don’t know if this is a glitch. I hope so otherwise someone either missed it or ignored it and it’s annoying. Say you are flying from London to Paris with a stop over in Copenhagen. You depart London at 7pm on September 01, arrive in Copenhagen at 9pm September 01 and you stay overnight at a hotel, checking out at 10am. You board a flight Copenhagen to Paris sat 5pm. It *should* like this on the intinerary taking note of Oct 03: October 02 7pm ✈️ depart LHR -> arrive 9pm CPH 10pm Hotel check-in Copenhagen October 03 10 am Hotel check-out Copenhagen 5pm ✈️ depart CPH> arrive 7pm CDG Here is how it actually looks: October 02 7pm ✈️depart London -> 9pm arrive CPH 10pm Hotel check-in Copenhagen October 03 5pm ✈️ depart CPH -> 7pm arrive CDG 10 am check out of hotel in Copenhagen The 5pm flight should be listed after the 10 am checkout. But on October 03 it’s first, because (I think) the hotel stay started the day before, and it is logging it by the check in time, even though it SHOULD be by the check-out time. When everything is chronological except for hotel check outs it creates a ton of confusion especially on complicated itineraries..Version: 2.11.0
