✓ Fuels my soulI can’t get enough of MHN. I found her a while ago on Pinterest and I’ve been in love with everything she writes ever since. Her words are so captivating and I always find myself searching for them. I wish I would’ve found this app sooner! It’s just what I need. I love that it reminds me when my daily message is ready and sends me little affirmations throughout the day. And at the end of each writing it includes an affirmation and word of the day, and a reflection question to journal your thoughts. I’m a total journaler so it’s great for me (I upgraded to pay for the app as well). It just helps so much with my anxiety disorder/ depression. It’s like part of my self care. ✓ Simply BeautifulI first found out about Morgan earlier this year as I was stocking cards at my new job and resetting an entire section of just her cards. I remember wondering what made her cards so special that she got her own section. Shortly after that, a friend shared something from Morgan’s Facebook page, and that sent me on a path that led me to this app. Now I better understand her own section of cards. This app has proven to be one of my favorite parts of each new day-seeing what helpful, kind, grace-filled, timely words of wisdom she shares. It has been a divinely-timed meeting as this year has been full of hard things, difficult situations, and me learning how to navigate through it all. Her daily reminders have spoken to my soul and been so uplifting in this season. Earlier this week there was an issue with the day’s devotion loading, and the app team was able to quickly resolve it. ✓ Love this app! Great Customer service!I have loved Morgan Harper Nichols’ work for ages. Follow her on Instagram and just always feel inspired! I finally purchased the yearly subscription in September and am so glad I did. A few weeks ago I got locked out of my account and contacted costumer service because I missed my daily messages and didn’t want to have to pay for the subscription again (although I would have if necessary because I love it so much). Customer service was SO helpful and changed my account so I could have access to my account and subscription. Big shout out to Jesse and Ronalyn who helped me out. They were so sweet and helpful. They aren’t fluffy and full of lies like “you can be anything you want” but more down to earth...reminders of patience and grace and slowing down. As a person who struggles with self worth and anxiety, these message always hit me. It’s like having a best friend (which I’ve never really had) come alongside you and remind you of your strength. I originally followed her account on social media and noticed this app was available with her creative and inspiring quotes. It includes paragraphs of encouragement and elaborates on the images. It’s a beautiful way to allow God to speak through our technology. It is completely worth the year subscription to bring insight and encouragements for yourself and I love sending them to those I love that I know can use it as well :) Yes you have the option of paying if you really want to get the most out of the app. SHE TAKES HER PERSONAL TIME TO DO THESE AND CREATE AND LISTEN TO OUR STORIES TO DEVELOP THESE. She has to pay for the app creation and other things herself and paying is a very simple thank you to these beautiful encouragements and designs etc. There’s no ads and the app is very simply set up and easy to navigate. I am a broke college student and very picky about where my money goes too and the year long subscription is nothing for 365 beautiful designs and inspiring words. I’ve only had this app for a few weeks and already the encouragement that I’ve gotten from this is worth the amount I paid for the year subscription!! Her words are bang on for where I am in my life and my day goes so much smoother when I start it with the Storyteller app. I had some issues at the start of this year and I sent an email explaining that the app was stuck on August 29th, I got a reply from Ronalyn and Morgan so fast and the issue was fixed. I love reading the morning message while I sip a cup of tea and mentally prepare for my day. It’s a grounding practice that I highly recommend, especially if you usually start your day with scrolling through social media. I’ve been learning about mindfulness over the past year, and Morgan’s words have been a faithful companion on my journey. I feel and her app & podcast is a wonderful way to meditate and listen to her calming voice as you mind engages listening to her poetic deeply expressed words of being. During those moment to reflect on the growth in your own life or that of those around you as her words bring to mind those moments of life spoken of through poetry. Her poems are very relaxing and anyone can easily relate to. I recently had an issue logging in. Customer service replied quickly and easily helped me fix the bug. Just having that extra touch in my life reminds me I am doing something for myself that is entirely healthy. I also love that Morgan gives so much with her art and this is a way for me to recognize that and contribute a little to her beautiful ecosystem. I canceled my subscription briefly after I lost my job and wasn't sure where things were going and hadn't received any unemployment but I signed up again recently now that I am settled and there were a couple technical issues with getting my subscription back to normal. I knew that it would be worth being patient and reaching out to someone and sure enough I submitted feedback through the app and got a personal email guiding me through troubleshooting the issue. Updates were made to the app that improved the experience and fixed my issue. You get a free 7 day trial, I’m absolutely hooked!! I enjoy that even after your trial is over, you still get the daily notification. ✓ What’s on the inside.My story: The short version is that shortly after college (in 2017) I was diagnosed with a giant cell tumor of bone in my pelvis. Luckily this type of tumor is benign, but it required me to go through over 24 hours of surgery in 4 different chunks. In 2018, over 1/2 of my sacrum and 1/3 of my pelvis were taken out - with reconstruction by rods, screws, and cadaver. Recently, that hardware has failed and in 2020 I underwent four more surgeries to correct the issues. I am still recovering. I love reading the daily encouragements on the storyteller app because MHN reminds me that it’s okay to be where I’m at in life, it’s okay to not be accomplishing everything I thought I’d be accomplishing right now, but at the same time I’ll be able to look back and see how things were weaving together all along. ✓ Best App by farI was at a really low point when I first downloaded the app and honestly questioned how helpful it would be - it has turned into one of the best Apps I’ve ever used. The reminders throughout the day help me to pause when I needed to - and at the end of each day I love having the journal prompts. Sometimes the questions are perfect, sometimes I just use the affirmation or word as a jumping off point for my own thoughts. I also love that I can write in the app when I need to or I also use my own paper journal to create art as well..Version: 1.4
✓ I LOVE THIS APP! A MUST DOWNLOAD!!I downloaded this app over a year ago and I cannot emphasize how wonderful it is. Between the artwork and beautiful and inspiring words I simply cannot get enough! The added insight provided beyond the words and artwork is also so insightful and truly brings peace to me each day. MHN is a gift and so is this app! Initially I felt $20 was a bit much however now I cannot say enough how worth it it is! I also recently had issues with my content updating however the support team was quick to respond and solve my issue (and also very easy to navigate to within the app!). Thank you MHN and team!
