✓ Save yourself the timeThis isn’t anything like old TapTap music games. Seems like every song is just a trial as you play for a minute and it ends abruptly, some don’t even make it to the chorus lol. You’ll get an ad after pretty much every song and sometimes the buttons just ghost on you. I guarantee most of the 5 star reviews are bots because they all have weird names. Take it from a human, this one is trash..Version: 1.3.7
✓ Good but needs more levelsLove this game. Not sure what previous reviewers mean with it being out of time with the music as mine is spot on so must have been fixed. The only issue is it sometimes starts to freeze ( not my connection as I have over 60mbs) and this then makes you miss notes which is sooo annoying but it doesn’t happen too frequently. My main issue with this game is the fact that there only seems to be 45 levels. I have done them all and am now stuck replaying the same songs :( please add more levels!!.Version: 1.2.4

✓ Ads ads ads!Do not recommend. Downloaded app after seeing an ad for it - it looked fun. As a new user I couldn't even play the game at all not even once. Had to watch 6 different adds to get enough coins to play one free song and even then was 50 coins short and needed to wait another 40minutes for more ads to be available before I could retrieve the coins needed to play even ONE game. 10/10 will delete. ✓ Love it but... (plz read)I absolutely LOVE this game, as well as I love music. But I hate that after a day or two of playing, you have only 5 lives... this is what made me stop playing the game. I like to play these games to kill time, and I can’t do that when if I fail five times I can’t play for awhile. This is also what I hate about Piano Tiles. And I was really hoping that it wouldn’t be like that. Also the game tends to glitch from time to time, such as freezing the notes in place but still having the music play, randomly kicking me out to the home menu of the game when playing a song. ✓ PHONE CRASHEDI thought it was a great app from the ads, so i got it. At first the music played great and everything was fine, then getting to the ‘Taylor Swift Shake it off’ song, i get 3 taps in and my phone completely freezes for 5 seconds and then turns off completely with the music still playing. I frantically tried turning my phone back on but was unsuccessful therefore having to wait for the song to completely finish to ‘complete the level’. After which my phone turns back on but the app has then deleted its self off my phone..Version: 1.1.1
✓ This game could be goodThe game could be good, but the notes are out of sync to the music by around half a beat to a full beat. There is no option for syncing either, which can make playing the game quite frustrating. Also, quite a lot of the time I would get 5 stars on a song only to have my progress not register, which is a bit of an annoying bug. Not the hugest deal except I did have to replay around 40% of songs because of it. Would’ve happily given this game 5/5 stars if not for these minor issues that I think should be fixable if the developers chose to. ✓ Love the concept… hate all the flaws even moreThe concept of this game is the reason why I love it so much. The combination of “guitar hero” with up to date music is so much fun to play. However, there are so many flaws that keep me from giving it 5 stars. 1) There is no way to organize the music selection. 2) The difficult levels are not very well labeled. A “hard” song in this game can either give you a easy 300 beats or an expert level 750 beats which is a DRAMATIC difference. 3) Sometimes I can miss a beat and the game won’t even notice it OR I’ll tap too lightly onto my screen and the game thinks I “missed” the beat, both super frustrating problem. 4) Even with the subscription purchase, you still have to watch ads when you want to continue a song when you mess up or you could get more “HP” but then you still have to watch an ad. I feel like if I pay for a game monthly there should be NO ads whatsoever. 5) This games gives you coins but when you have a subscription there is no point in having the coins so they kinda just pile up with no real use. Maybe they should think about using coins when you mess up a game to keep playing. There are also some smaller flaws as well but don’t really affect gameplay like these ones do. Overall, the flaws in this app outweigh the game play, which is why I give it 2-stars. I think this game needs some major improvements until it can get 5 stars from me..Version: 1.6.1
✓ Good… If you don’t compare to any other music gamesThe song selections are alright, but the game itself has so much potential to be better, which is why I’m giving such a low score. Being on the menu is just so boring. Say you want to look for a song, you have to keep scrolling until you may or may not find it, all while there’s no sound being played. No background music at all. There’s some when the game loads… just keep that playing while you’re on a menu! An immediate improvement would be a search option. Just being able to search for an artist would make it so much more user friendly. For example, say I wanted to play a song by Michael Jackson, I would have to keep scrolling until I found one. Of course, I actually did this, and it took more than 5 minutes of scrolling to find any of his songs. Plus the scrolling stops basically when you take your finger off the screen, which is agonising - let me scroll faster! These comments aside, it’s not getting a low score because it’s a bad game, it just needs development. I personally won’t be playing again unless changes are made, simply because there are so many other music games which use the exact same formula, but have more atmosphere about them..Version: 1.6.3
✓ SOOO GLITCHYThis game is so glitchy!!!! Every time I get a notification, it freezes. I feel like I can’t have a social life AND play this game because anytime I get a text, I loose all my progress and it doesn’t give me an energy token back. Sometimes when I pause the game and go back into it, or start a new game, no notes will pop up only the music will go. Also I just purchased a new sound and it won’t even let me play it! I have restarted the app, restarted my phone and nothing works! My other sounds are doing fine it’s just this one sound. Every time I click on it, it goes into the playing screen for a fraction of a second until it sends me back to the home screen. I feel like this game needs a major bug fix or else I am going to stop playing it because it’s just to hard to play with a messed up game. ✓ Not great but A for effort! Taps have no rhythm!I have tried countless tap tap revenge replacements and so far the best substitute is piano tiles 2 (with classical music)! The app is okay and I managed to get the top score. However, whoever is responsible for the choreography of the taps has ZERO rhythm!! In order to get the top score I had to tap against the beat instead of with it... which was actually extremely frustrating. With Tap Tap Revenge, the taps were all in the right place and the timing and rhythm matched each song perfectly (that’s why it was so popular!), this is nowhere near as good I felt like a random white dad trying to dance but failing to find the rhythm so I have cancelled my subscription. Maybe fix the rhythm/timing of the taps to each song and make it better and you’ll get better reviews!!.Version: 1.3.9
✓ Fun game, but way too buggyEver since Tap Tap Reborn 2 disappeared and went unsupported, we are left with no similar Tap Tap alternate except for this. But that’s not a good thing: Sometimes, when trying to play a chart, it won’t load despite the video already loading. Also, all the charts don’t make use of the full song. And also there’s 4 rows, not 3. Try supporting Tap Tap Reloaded, a proper TTR alternate that does everything right instead!.Version: 1.3.9

✓ Too easy, also lost one of my songsFirstly, I bought the Ddu Ddu (BlackPink) song pack where it comes with easy and hard but then for some reason I lost it and I had to buy it again. This is somewhat annoying because it costs 399 coins and I have to play on level easy again just to be able to play hard. Secondly, hard is TOO easy like when I play many songs on hard they have a really exciting moment where things get difficult, but suddenly that drops and the chorus or the song’s “drop” suddenly become extremely easy where it’s like just one or two buttons so it’s boring. Either make “hard” harder or make another expert level. Thirdly , can you guys bring the thing where it says where you’re at compared with everyone else who plays the same song as you? Like the “You’re in the top 95.8%” because that motivates me to play more. I don’t know if it’s just a glitch where I can’t see it or you guys removed it but I hope you guys can fix that, thanks. Lastly, I’d like a setting where you can adjust the speed of the buttons going down because I personally find mine falling down too slow for my liking and I prefer things fast paced. Games like Bang Dream! has it so it’s like possible to do the same with this game, I hope that comes in the next update. ✓ Playable songsIt’s really annoying that the songs you play(when not bought) are only a tiny part of the song. The songs just get cut off after a certain amount of time and it’s really bothering because you don’t get to fully enjoy the gameplay. This is also inconvenient because, in some songs, a good portion of the time is just the intro and you don’t actually play anything while this is happening. By the time the intro is done most of the game play time is over and you’ve only hit about ten beats. Idk if this bothers anyone else but it certainly annoys the heck out of me. BUTI absolutely love this game, its engaging and is so much more exciting then all the other tap style games, if it wasn’t for the issues I am about to mention I would be rating it a solid 5! Unfortunately though it has a tendency to glitch, which is a nightmare for a game that requires you to stay on beat and in time, besides the glitching and jittering of the buttons coming towards you (usually only while playing hard or medium songs) there is also the problem of buttons not working when you press them. While these issues may only happen sporadically, when they do, the song you have been playing is completely ruined and you therefore have to either start the song again (loosing a life) or watch a 30 second advert to continue. I do love this game and keep attempting to play it, despite the glitches, however more often then not I find my self getting frustrated that I am unable to complete a song because of the above issues and ultimately end up turning off the game..Version: 1.3.9

✓ More ads than gameI used to play so many rhythm games that I wanted to come back and see what was on the market. This game makes you watch an ad every other song you play. And the songs you get to play for free are not even full songs but half to quarter of the full song. Then if you unlock a song, you have to hit every single note to play because if you miss a single note, you fail and have to watch a 30 second add then 15 seconds of playing the Ad game. You literally spend more time dealing with ads than playing the game. I want to play hard songs and keep playing and failing to get a sense of accomplishment. ✓ Health/HP FeatureI’ve been playing Tap Tap games for a long time. And I’ve got to say this one has nearly failed as a Tap Tap game. Most songs are only just a minute/Minute and a half a piece and the ones you can pay to unlock are the only good ones. But then to not be able to select a difficulty is a slap to the face and the songs that are actually hard like Rap God are fun to play.. If it didn’t have a Health/HP system. That makes the game not very fun or helpful at all, I can’t make it past the first 45 seconds of the song to see how the rest goes to even get better at the song. The Health system doesn’t belong in this game whatsoever and should truly be removed. Songs should be full length and you should be able to select a difficulty for any song. The app is riddled with Ads which have more visual effect then the actual gameplay. As if the focus of the app was actually on the Ad structure and not the core elements of the game. Then once you actually get to play the game the play board is so riddled with unnecessary visual effects having fast combos are hard to see and easy to miss. Adding that to the health system is kind of a low ball to a game franchise that did way better in the past. Several songs are glitches entirely and have no notes whatsoever so you basically fail them and get no stars at all. Again, not impressed..Version: 1.4.3

✓ Great concept but could be improvedI love the concept of tap tap returning, the notes and music are synced and the music choices are great. Things I’d like to see improve are VIP, currency, and full length songs, and special events Vip- The vip subscription is great and all but you still get hassled with ads once you complete song. I don’t want to go through that, especially after paying for something. Currency - the currency (coins) of the game is ok and not that hard to gain but it would be great if we could actually purchase a pack or bundle of coins. Songs - Now this part I understand may not happen because of licensing and copyright issues, but it would be amazing to have full length songs that we could play and enjoy. It does take the joy out of the game when players can only play a part of a song. Special events - It would be great if the developers hosted special events like holiday music events, or pvp, and furthermore can make special music boards and notes that we can purchase that makes the game that much more exciting. ✓ Game is way too easyThe game itself is good and fun to play, I miss the days of tap tap revenge which is what made me get this game, but it’s way too easy. The reason I say this is because you can be playing a “hard” song where you only have “1 HP” and completely miss multiple notes before the game actually fails you, and the game doesn’t have a streak system like guitar hero and tap tap revenge did, you can just blindly tap the bottom of your screen and really not get punished for it at all. Combine the ability to miss many many notes with 1hp, and no streak system, and you have a game that is fun if you’re into it casually, but if you wanna take it seriously at all, you just can’t because the game lets you get away with anything..Version: 1.6.1

So another 30 second ad happens. It’s expensive to get songs. You can’t get free songs the first day. And free songs are by challenge so you have to play to win them and can’t choose them. There are far too many ads. And the easy levels are on par with most tap games medium to hard so there’s not really any build up of skill either. ✓ Music crashesAs much as I like the game for the pass few days I can’t help but get frustrated about the game not letting me play the music I want, but instead of it playing it crashes me multiple times! ✓ Good game! Could be better with a few adjustments!Personally this is one of my favorite music games by far. The ads aren’t too long, nor are you required to watch them to level up. Leveling up is actually easy and the game is addictive! A lot of the songs on here are really good and I’m happy that they don’t just include english pop songs but also japanese and korean songs! However, I wish there was a feature to just search up the title of a song or artist, because whenever I scroll too far down, the app crashes. Not only that, but it would make things simpler and quicker! That’s not the only problem I’ve been facing. I recently purchased a song by Stray Kids titled “Mixtape : On Track” but whenever I select either hard or easy mode a message pops up and says “Song format error” and doesn’t allow me to play the song at all..Version: 1.4.0

✓ Needs a Search EngineThe game is overall great, my only problem is that users should be able to find the songs they want to buy and play in an easier manner and not have songs disappear on them until it eventually randomizes for the song to appear again. Edit: I originally had a problem with a song disappearing but I eventually found it again by deleting and redone loading the app after accidentally I favoring it. Anyways, I believe that the app should have an easier way to find songs, especially once the app has more songs to find and play. ✓ Update revoked some of my songs?I’ve been enjoying this game for a few weeks now, and if it weren’t for whatever update that might’ve caused this issue, I would’ve given this a 5-star review; this game is unlike others in that you can earn your way to more awards just by playing the game, without any hidden fees or impossible milestones. The game has lots of great songs and recently they added even more that seemed to cater even more to my style, which I was very happy with. However, upon opening the app today, I noticed that one of my favorited songs (that I had “purchased”)- “Peace Sign,” in particular, was not on the song list any more. When I went to my favorites list, the song was there, but upon pressing play, it would not start. This was very frustrating for me because it was one of the songs I had purchased with the coins. I don’t agree with the developers removing songs after they’ve been released, but if they’re going to do that, I at least ask that they leave the songs in the libraries of players who had already purchased the song. It would’ve been a waste of coins and effort otherwise. Aside from this very recent issue, I’ve had no problems with this game and I’ve greatly enjoyed it. I needed at least 399 coins to get ONE song. I was so excited to play the game but had to wait a while to be able to buy a song. The game is also a little buggy. It doesn’t register my taps. However, it is a really fun game and has songs from some of my favorite artists including Hailee Steinfeld and Avril Lavigne. ✓ Do Not DownloadTerribly designed app. It’s a money-pit. I had to watch ads to get points to unlock songs. The first ad I watched gave me 100 points, after that it dropped to 50, and you need 399 points to unlock each song, except for the “free” songs which you need a DIFFERENT kind of points to unlock. Those points can be garnered by playing songs or buying them. This “free” game literally doesn’t let you play unless you watch 5 ads for the first song (I don’t know if it does for every song as I deleted it halfway through the first song). If you’re looking for a fun Tap Tap Revenger style game, continue looking as this one is one of the poorest rip-offs of TTR I’ve ever tried. ✓ Good Game, Interface Needs WorkI’m a huge fan of the OG Tap Tap Revenge games and was happy to find this. However, the songs are plain clutter. There needs to be a search bar on the top of the favorites and on top of the home page so you can find songs. It would be even better if the home page had an option to sort the songs by title, artist, and played/unplayed. It’s literally impossible to find anything. What if the favorites page allowed for “playlists” even if we were limited to 3 or something. It would just be nice to have more organization within favorites. You could have your hardest songs in one playlist/folder, your favorites in another, etc. Also, the score system is kind of lacking. I don’t really like that you get 5 stars just by completing the song. But it seems that’s the style of this version of the game so whatever I guess...to me it makes more sense to keep the song going and your stars are based on your ratio of “perfect” taps. Coins should be able to buy more energy sparks, and successful players should be able to increase to up to 20 max energy. Or you have to purchase the higher energy cap with coins. ✓ A little disappointed...As much as I loved this game when I first got it the more I play it the more I start to slowly dis like the game even more. When I they first changed the UI of the game I wasn’t a fan. The easy levels are not fun to play at all and I hate how it forces you to play it if you want to play the hard version it’s annoying. Just let me pay for the hard like always. Make it more expensive if you have to but like this it’s just annoying. And now for some reason when I logged on today, I’ve lost over 200 stars. ✓ Fun Game, Many ProblemsThis games great for killing time or just when you’re bored. Although there’s a lot of bugs. To start, sometimes the song doesn’t actually start and the screen freezes, requiring you to restart the app. Second, the revive feature is horrible. The game gives you absolutely no time to process the notes, instantly killing you again. Another thing is the pause button. The menu brings up the play button as well as the pause menu, making you press the play button to get the menu and you don’t have enough time to close the menu causing you to die instantly. My last problem is (not sure if this happens to others) “Santa Tell Me” by Ariana Grande is impossible to 5 star. ✓ Music is not syncronised to the game.I was a top level player on Tap Tap Revenge years ago, back when it was a very popular game. This game, TapTap Music, has a very similar principle, so I was very excited to try it out. The whole point of the game is to tap the circles in time with the accompanying song but on every level I have played so far the music is slightly out of sync with the game itself, rendering the game useless. I am very disappointed, as this could be a good game and go on to replace the space Tap Tap Revenge left when it was discontinued. As a side note, I have noticed the developers replying to every negative review here and accusing the players of not practicing enough, despite the fact that it’s the game itself that is not on beat. I have been playing multiple instruments for over a decade now, so believe me, practice isn’t the issue. Edit: In response to the developer response, I don’t believe connection is the issue. I have tried this game on two different wifi networks, the data network and on someone else’s phone and the problem still persists. I tried this game once before a while ago and it had the same issue, but I just deleted it without review. ✓ Gameplay Feels Too Easy, Notes Based on Words, Ads are AnnoyingCompared to many other music “rhythm games,” this game’s hit boxes for hitting notes is surprisingly large. The biggest example is in the song Rap God in that I could be missing the timing completely and making several errors on the notes, but the game seems to register them as being hit correctly. While it’s cool that the game accepts my error prone note hitting, it takes away the difficulty and, more or less, the satisfaction of hitting the notes correctly. One complaint I do have is that the game seems to use the rhythm based on the lyrics rather than the instrumental. It sorta defeats the purpose of the rhythm aspect. If the game had a certain instrumental over it or the people who charted the notes perhaps went into the instrumental..... Finally, the ads can get frustrating. Now ads are understandable to have when a game is free to play however once you start having ads that are intrusive to playing the game it becomes a bit much, and the game end up being forgot in a few days, take games form the past that where free to play every now and again you got an ad or two but not to the point you have to watch an ad to play this is reflected in the energy bars you get in games and how you can’t play anymore unless you watch an ad or pay money. ✓ A message to the developersWhen I saw this as an add I really liked the fact that you could choose songs from the charts. It expects you to finish a song 3 minutes long with only 5 HP, and sure you can watch adds but once you get to 11 HP it will ask you if you would like to watch another add for 3 HP, so you click it and watch a 30 second advertisement, and finally when it’s over you realize that not only has the game frozen but it hasn’t even given you the 14 HP you watched a ad for! ✓ FaultyThe game itself is great, or it used to be. There has been a number of issues in the last updates that have caused the app to stop working completely. The first of the updates made all music go out of sync with the taps, it’s not a connection issue at all and it’s not just for certain songs, it’s all songs this happens to and not just with my phone. The second update which was a few days ago now has made the app unplayable, all I get is a screen without any songs shown, the top 1/3 of the display is still visible but no buttons work at all, the only thing that seems to work now is the background music of the app and that’s it. Friends who play this app have not had issues with the new update at all, but it seems this is happening to a number of people, it may be a device issue with particular phones, either way I don’t want to delete and then re-download the app for fear of losing the songs I have purchased, but if the issue isn’t fixed soon then I’ll have to delete the app completely.Version: 1.1.9

✓ Gameplay is great, the terrible currencies and limitations completely ruined itWhen actually playing the songs, the game has the fun nostalgia of guitar hero with modern music. Except you are assaulted with all kinds of limitations and ui clutter outside of play. Your song selection is extremely limited until you earn good ratings on whatever they give you unless you pay real money, and when you use the earned currency from perfecting songs, you only get once chance at whatever you unlocked. I played about 6-7 songs and got full rating on all of them, enough to unlock Shape of You. I was excited to play a song I like, and was doing great. But I didn’t realize that song only allows 1 missed note, and then it’s gone until you earn more currency. I immediately lost all interest after that. You had a good thing going here before you tried micro transactions, ads, currencies, and casino noises to everything, plus the pop ups for rating and sharing on social media. I would have told my friends about this for even a limited bout of nostalgia, but this app is no longer worth even the minor amount of marketing that would give. It gets frustrating after trying 10 times to click out that I exit the game. 2) The point system. It’s not satisfying after playing a hard song when I get the same amount of coins as the easy songs. And the dot that I have to hold down doesn’t give me extra points when I hold it down so you can just click it and get the perfect. 3) The difficulty for “hard” is not hard. ✓ Game still out of syncSo, I’ve loved this game since I first downloaded it. At first it was perfect until after an update the music was out of sync with the notes, then after another couple of updates I was in fact completely unable to play the game. Now update 1.2.1 was hit and I was hoping this would be the update that fixes the game. I was disappointed to find it wasn’t. I can now access the game but unfortunately the music is still out of sync with the notes. Please fix this!!.Version: 1.2.1
✓ Not the bestI wont lie though, its alright, but the charting for the songs are lazily done. all the songs aren't even hard on the hardest difficulty, and plus you cant even choose a difficulty for the songs you want. lets say, if I wanted to play "Streets" by Doja Cat on a normal difficulty because the other difficulties are too hard or easy, then I wouldn't be able to play it, I could play it on easy but then it would just be incredibly boring. but speaking of the charting being lazily done, theres no anti-spam for the middle of the song, you could literally spam the notes the whole time on a song and you would get a good score, and it doesn't matter what score you get, as long as you don't die the whole song, you get 5 stars. the amount of songs there are is a lot, but you have to grind your way to unlock all of them which gets boring after a while. Theres more pop songs than any other genre of songs, which I feel there should be a more widespread amount of different genres in the game which could bring people who like other genres of songs to the game. forgot to mention that the amount of ads in the game is insane. anyways, in conclusion, its not bad, but it isn't great either. is it good for veteran rhythm gamers? definitely not, its more of a casual rhythm game than a competitive one. thanks for reading.Version: 1.6.1
✓ Was brilliant until I got 5 songs in...The game was running smoothly till I completed my 4th or 5th song, then it started lagging totally. Restarted the game and it doesn’t fix it. ✓ Too many ads, way too many.Don’t misunderstand me, the game itself is good since it encourages you to get good scores in order to unlock more songs BUT... unless you pay a VIP subscription, you’ll have to beat with the thousands of ads the app will be showing you, there’s some tricky ones that won’t show any “X” to close them nor any time needed to wait in order to close it. And there’s some others that last for a whole 15 - 30 seconds almost always after finishing playing a song. I remembered exactly how to play and everything so I wanted to log back in to my old account. I clicked log in, and it saved my new account I have now..? So I can’t save my progress.. great start. ✓ Ads are too long and there's too manyIt's a good game but the only way to get anything is to watch really long ads. You want to unlock a song? You need to watch like 5 ads that are a minute each to get the coins to get it. You die while playing a song? You need to watch a minute long ad to play again. After you unlock a song, why do you have to watch more ads to just replay it? I'm not a fan of how it makes you watch an ad *every* time you mess up - it makes the game tiring to play. ✓ Love the Game but...This game is amazing so much fun and very creative in style. I love that the selection of songs however, it takes forever to look for a specific song that you want to play or see if it’s in the songbook. I think it would be much better if there was some sort of search bar function implemented in the game. If this was in the game I would give 5 stars but at this state it’s so frustrating and hard to find a song you want to play that you don’t have and isn’t new. ✓ A QUICK WARNINGDO NOT play the ads that gives you an option to double the 100 coins you occasionally get after finishing a song. It will only waste your time as you won’t even get the actual double amount, and you don’t even get that original 100 that is supposedly given to you, should you chose not to play the ad. There so many features that really should be there, such as a report song feature that should be there to tell the devs about any songs that might’ve bugged out such as Harujion by Yoasobi as it is now severely off beat, and I didn’t use the coins I saved up to buy broken songs. A song search feature, which I’ve seen requested many times is STILL not in the game, and at this point it’s getting tiring to have to scroll through the entire freakin list just to see if a song that I like is in the game or not. ✓ Ok but annoyingI downloaded this app months ago and found it good to distract me and help me focus. After an update all of the songs that I had bought with the stars I had earned disappeared and I could no longer play them even though I had got some that I still hadn’t played yet, and I didn’t get any of my stars back in return either.
