✓ ClunkyNo ability to minimise the “where to” pop up section which means a vast section of the map is not visible. No ability to in real time notify other users of traffic hazards such as debris, crashes or congestion. No ability in real time to have traffic density mapping. ✓ Excellent but …..Fantastic for speed camera notifications and app works brilliantly with CarPlay but one of my cars doesn’t have CarPlay and in that car the only way I can receive sound alerts is to disconnect bluetooth . That of course means I can’t use hands free or listen to my music. Developer has told me to turn on “Use Bluetooth HFP” in the app settings but no such option exists anywhere in the app ?!?. If this can somehow be sorted then I’ll edit my review to 5 stars Thanks for reply that iOS doesn’t yet support switching between mobile speaker and car speaker. This isn’t an issue because I am quite happy to get sound alerts through only the phone speaker. However if my phone Bluetooth is on then no sound alerts whatsoever are provided - either through the phone or the car speakers..Version: 8.545.0

✓ Need some work but it’s way better than TomTom GO !!!Very basic sat nav , it’s basically a scaled down version of Waze , shows promise though , hopefully they will put some effort into this app and bring back the TomTom we all knew and loved !! How can this app not have the lag/inaccuracy of GO ? This works perfectly, the pointer position of where you are on the map is spot on , I stopped using go because of this , I kept missing junctions To get more stars it would need 1. Alternative routes options when typing in a destination 2. Saving favourites 3. ✓ Voice Navigation IssuesStarted off as a good app, additional option to Apple Maps, Google Maps & Waze. But after a couple updates, my primary issue is the voice navigation speaks scrambled English when giving directions. I have to give it 2stars until the developer can fix the issue. ✓ Good app was better!I’ve been using this app a few months now and thought it was great, did everything you need for driving without the need for a paid for app or separate Sat Nav, but now after this weeks update you have taken the best part of the traffic notification. Before the update it would show en-route ie 10 minute queuing, it was easy to see but now you have to touch the screen to see how long it will be, in the UK it’s illegal to touch the phone while driving but this is now actually encouraging you to do this. Please don’t fix what isn’t broken, well actually yes please put it back to how it was and I’d give 5* easily..Version: 8.384.0
✓ Slow map updates are distractingI have just driven from Reading to Shrewsbury and during the entire journey there were blank parts of the map (except for the blue route line) which would suddenly fill in and that was very distracting. It was like it was requesting the map data in blocks from the server while they should already be displayed on the screen. It knows where I’m going, so it should be requesting all this map data in advance. I had a great 4 or 5g signal the entire time. Also, I love the enhanced visual indicators, but feel that they are a bit late sometimes and don’t quite give me enough notice to make a manoeuvre. Finally, I think the current positioning on the map is slightly too sensitive. My phone was on a windscreen mount and like most of them it wobbled a bit. This sometimes seemed to make the car position on the route jitter a bit. This was on an iPhone 13 Pro Max..Version: 8.545.0
✓ Missing one crucial featureThis app is very promising however there’s one major gripe. While CarPlay works when the app is selected, it does not have support for the dashboard view, as it defaults to whichever navigation app was last used (Apple Maps, Waze, Google, etc). ✓ Good features, but lacks in other placesI was initially impressed as it had all the functions of similar sat nav with the great additions of average speed calculator and yellow indicators for directions at roundabouts of on motorway. Then after a day or 2 it lost my home address, well it knew it but would not take me there, also there was no obvious option to see your route and optional routes . The last negative was the inability to put stops in. Even with these negatives it is still better than Waze..Version: 9.168.1

✓ Routing Flawed after update 2 months agoThe routing on this app has changed 180 degrees from what it was about 2 months. It was working flawlessly in which I was using it every day. Then the update came and ruined its routing. It is telling me to turn when no turn exists and on a straight roadway to my destination. Nothing has changed except for the updates. Have reinstalled the program and still have the same results. The program is useless now as this was a premiere program..Version: 8.590.0
✓ Not quite thereI get that this is a slimmed down version of TomTom Go and it's going to be missing a lot of that's features but AmiGo really needs a few more of the basics like being able to 'point on map' to select a destination or add a place to favourites especially since you don't always know the address of a place you want to go so can't enter it. ✓ 2D Map North View missingAs a decade long user coming from Waze, first thing I always look for when trying new navigation system is the 2D Map North View. The 2D Map north view in Amigo disappoints a lot. When it’s in north view it zooms out completely and always showing the whole route. I would expects the zooming to be automated based on the car speed. If car is stopped, map should zoom in. When car is travelling, map should zoom out and display the relevant surroundings buildings and road. The way Amigo had the map zoomed way out makes the navigation barely visible and usable..Version: 8.590.0
✓ Shows Promise But BuggyJust started to use this now it has CarPlay support. Looks good and like how easy it is to report hazards etc. But.. No support for the dashboard screen, which is frustrating. Also it has seems to not to cope with rerouting if you do not take a turn. You have to end the route and start again Also, it constantly speaks “Start Driving” which seems to correspond with the route being updated. This makes the navigation unbearable. Yesterday, it decided to start reporting instructions in metric halfway through a route despite displaying and previously reporting in imperial. ✓ Updated reviewI have this five stars when first using it as the user interface is brilliant. However after using it fir months I am disappointed. The map is so outdated and in just the last week it has lead me down 3 closed roads. But it gets worse. Even after I reported the road closed the app does not update a new route and continue to try to redirect me back to the closed road so I had to close it and use Google maps. The next day it again lead me down the closed road so not only does it not update the route when you say the road is closed it also does not update the map information so people keep being send down the closed road. So what is the purpose of being able to report a closed road if it’s not updated. So really poor map information and such an important issues is a beginner mistake..Version: 8.41.0
✓ Good butThe best part is the help in avoiding going over the speed limit and avoiding losing points. But the map experience lags miles behind Apple and Google. I sometimes have the Speedo view on the phone by the side of the CarPlay but when reaching the speed limit it would be far safer to turn the whole screen red so as to stop drivers being distracted and looking at the screen all the time..Version: 8.545.0
✓ GPS not working with iOS 16It’s not picking up a GPS signal after updating to iOS 16. Please can you fix it? Updated to answer the developers question: If you try and search for an address it cannot find anything and under the search box it says “No GPS Signal”. Also if you are driving with the map open it doesn’t track you and the speed is not updated. It still says 0 mph. I have checked privacy/location services and the app has permission to access GPS. It worked before the iOS 16 update, but stopped working immediately afterwards. I hope this helps..Version: 8.500.1
✓ The worst navigation appUpdate December 2022 Some of the issues seem to have been fixed now, but the routing is very very poor. An example is that to leave my estate and access a main road, it directs me in a giant loop of over a mile to get to the road 300 metres away. Points of interest are literally years out of date with businesses that have been open a couple of years missing, but ones that closed 10 years ago listed. Overall this is the usual rubbish offering from Tom Tom, but then they recently showed their attitude towards customer support by closing their own support forum. Avoid this like the plague! Original review After the latest update to fix the route recalculation issues, the app remains utter rubbish. Now whenever you veer slightly off the dictated course, the app repeatedly says ‘start driving’ with each minuscule recalculation even though you may have started driving hours before. It is also slow to respond in that it lags behind by up to 20 metres and, even more annoyingly, gives details of the next manoeuvre before the previous one is complete which is very disconcerting on a complex junction or large roundabout. As I said, this app is utter rubbish..Version: 8.545.0
✓ Overall pretty goodOverall works pretty well. I’ve noticed that I keep getting logged out all the time. Pretty annoying to have to keep logging in. Also in car play mode there is no way to search while on the move using a voice assistant. Also you cannot go to a contacts address through car play. ✓ CarPlay integration not greatA really helpful app, that generally works well when using it as a standalone on my iPhone. My biggest gripe is the only time I ever use this app is via CarPlay, and AmiGo doesn’t seem to support the miniature map view on the CarPlay Dashboard Screen (the screen that shows your navigation, music and suggestions in one place). When minimising the app, it just throws back to Apple or Google maps to fill the slot. If you’re navigating and you minimise the app, you get a pop up notification every second telling you the next step (which might be continue on the Highway for 200km) which effectively blocks you from pressing anything in the bottom 1/4 of the screen without cancelling the navigation first. If TomTom could implement proper CarPlay navigation integration like Waze and Google Maps have, this would be 5/5!.Version: 8.570.1

✓ Carplay Dashboard view not workingDesperate to use this app now released on CarPlay as I like the layout and data privacy. Frustrated though as while the app appears in CarPlay list in settings fine and works in the dedicated CarPlay view where only Amigo is displayed, when I switch to CarPlay Dashboard view in my Audi it will not show Amigo and displays the last used mapping app from my phone instead. At one point I was one left turn from my destination and it was squawking at me to turn "right and then right". ✓ Slow, Crashes, RubbishI don’t usually write reviews but I felt I needed to this time. After repeated emails to the developer over the last few months the app still remains unusable and no update has fixed it. I have a brand new iPhone X so it can’t be my phone that is the issue it must be the app as I have tried the app on other iPhones too. 1) After about 20 minutes of use the app starts juddering and lagging which means I easily miss junctions and it is a mad scramble to try to find out which way I am going. 2) After about 30 minutes of use the app will freeze and the app will simply crash. This app some brilliant features when it is working however it is simply useless and so frustrating when it just crashes or starts lagging. TomTom you are a brilliant company and I really am a fan of your products but this needs sorting. For the time being I will have to get out my old tomtom Go satnav to guide me instead while this app is fixed. Please please fix this, then I can give you 5 stars..Version: 8.441.0

✓ Quirky navigation, missing detailsApp tells me to turn within just feet of my turn instead of ahead of the turn and ducks music all the time instead of just during speech. Doesn’t support the new half screen feature of CarPlay. It’s not quite bad but it’s definitely lacking in details like stop lights and stop signs. Also in certain areas the speed limits are extremely off (gave me 20 mph on a 40 mph road). Edits on TomTom’s website for things like speed limits are extremely cumbersome and slow so I can’t fix a whole city of wrong speed limits. 🤷♂️.Version: 8.675.0
✓ Good but could be better…Hi, I think this app could do better to better rival other maps/navigation apps out there. Such as Waze. You can report police on the road if you see them on Waze but you cannot do that on this app. I think Waze definitely has the win-win over this app because they have the user base they’ve been around longer and they offer more features. Probably because they have been around longer. This app is going to have to play catch up to Waze maps. Just like Apple is trying to do with its maps app. Will TomTom be able to catch up/keep up with the other maps/navigation apps. How can this app be better than the competition what can this app offer that the other maps/navigation apps can’t. How can you guys make people switch from Waze maps to this app. Waze maps currently has a 4.9 out of 5 star rating on the App Store. Can TomTom compete with that?
