✓ Works but needs improvements.I prefer to use this on iPad since it has a bigger screen and won’t complain about “no internet, switch to cellular data” like my iPhone does. The problem is this app does not seem to support landscape mode. I always have to rotate my iPad from landscape to vertical and then back to landscape to get the image to rotate and that can only be done from within the camera view, not the Home Screen. If they allowed the Home Screen to be landscape this would fix that issue. The other problem I have is the image is always mirrored/reversed. I have to tap the ear icon to flip it and then it’s correct but it never remembers this setting. It also never remembers the camera brightness setting. Please allow these settings to be saved rather then being reverted each time. If these three things could be fixed then the app would be 5 stars. As for the product, it works well and I recommend it but I wish they made the tips smaller. Even the smallest blue rubber scoop is too big. A smaller one would make the job easier..Version: 5.2.33

Every time I connect to the WiFi associated with the ear-cleaning device, I go back to the app and it tells me I still need to connect. ✓ Questionable Collection of Personal InformationI just read the privacy policy for this company and it has contradictory information about how private information is used. This company also has an app called X-Life, which is also for an ear camera. The app wants access to all your devices, which is ridiculous! If you deny access the device won’t work. I think this is unacceptable and companies that demand this should be banned. There is no need to access other devices, especially if the app isn’t being used on them. I would be very careful with this company, because it seems like they want access to information not associated with the apps usage..Version: 5.1.56
✓ Dreadful. New update forces you to watch ads. DO NOT BUY BEBIRDI have used a BeBird for a couple of years after moving away from the more expensive “other brand”. I’ve not had any real issues with the device - besides graininess when it’s battery is low - until now. I opened the app the other day to find myself forced to view ads prior to being able to use a device that I paid for and have never had to view ads on before. It’s one thing if we start out with forced ads, but to have forced ads after is reprehensible. ✓ Great idea, poor reliability, no supportThe device itself is awesome. The app is a challenge. Often the camera loses focus. I have to keep backing out and going in again. If you clean the lens with a cotton swab, your picture can become blurry. Use lots of alcohol on the swab and be sure to press it into the lens firmly. A light touch will blur the view. It's hit and miss. Support is non-existent. My emails are not returned nor are my Messenger messages. Won't buy another..Version: 5.0.10
✓ Something shady about this…Bought the “BeBird Note 5”. It just arrived. I was very excited to use it, however, I can’t. 1) The device doesn’t connect to the app. 2) The app directions say choose your model. The Note5 isn’t listed. 3). The directions also say connect to the WAN. Can’t do that. WAN is not an option on my iPhone. I do have local network on in my WIFI settings 4) Bebird eventually pops up as a WIFI option, HOWEVER, it is unsecured and I’m not going to reconfigure my WIFI. 3). When I tried to go to the website via the links provided to read up on their security permissions I got a warning that said their certification had expired 17 days ago and did I want to continue? ✓ So unreliableIt worked great the first 2 days I had it. Was able to connect to the device’s wi-fi and video was smooth. Since then I haven’t been able to get a good connection. It regularly doesn’t connect, or connects for 10 seconds or so at a time before bouncing me back out to the main screen. When it IS connected it stutters and freezes till you get about 1 frame per second which makes it impossible to use. I’ve tried everything. ✓ Inferior batteryCharged the device out of the box overnight. Next day I unplugged the base but did not use the device. 2nd day decided to download the app and begin use of the device. Device turned on for about 2 minutes and needed to recharge, never even got a chance to use it. I’m really not sure what the standby time is but def didn’t expect the battery to be dead within the first 24 hours with 0 usage. There are toothbrushes that are as smaller, do more, and have a better battery life. Not sure if related, but it may be pattern-matching on the Wi-Fi name incorrectly: It looks like it’s looking for “bebird-XXXXXX” (6 digits) but the format of my device (X17 Pro) is actually just “bebird-XXXX” (4 digits). I accidentally put the tip on wrong so it was loose and the tip got lodged in my eardrum. It hurt sooooo bad trying to pry it out with tweezers. I described it as an UNBEARABLE sharp shooting pain all up in my eardrum. It’s been a little over an hour since removal but now the inside of my ear just feels bruised to death. ✓ Not working….help!?!I have had my camera for about 9 months. Other than connecting to WiFi issues, which is no big deal if you just use data instead, I haven’t had too many issues. Occasionally it would freeze but again not too much of an issue as you just restart it and it’s all good. Well all of a sudden my camera screen in the app is green and pink. It’s almost like looking at a photograph negative I guess. I don’t know. ✓ Follow instruction it workedThe paper have simple instruction scan, then you pick the right device: iOS (for me), took to App Store and download this. Then charge your tool for 1 hour.
