✓ This app is iffySo right before thanks giving I logged out of my app. I accidentally put my hot spot in deploy mode so I needed my seed phrase I used it then my app was empty I couldn’t respond or have whitenesses it’s still happening. Nebra blames helium vice versa the app.Version: 3.8.5
✓ Discovery mode is not workingDiscovery mode usually give you 5 attempt per day. Since the 20 November (2021) I keep seeing 0 attempt available. ✓ It’s great when everything is working properlyI’ve been using the Helium app for 29 days now. It’s cool, except for the relay mode. Not sure what the deal is with it. ✓ I don’t know if the info is real time or delayedI’m trying to troubleshoot some issues with my miner, but can’t figure out what’s working and what isn’t because this app doesn’t seem to provide me with any updates. - first day receiving the miner, I hook it up, download this app, and watch it in action. It says the miner is online but syncing. No info on how long it takes to sync, so I had to go online to see it’s typically 1-2 days, sometimes upwards of a week. - after it syncs, it’s constantly in relay mode. There’s a notice that links me to a guide that seems helpful at first, but after making changes to it, there’s no difference. Still on relay mode, but at least I see it’s earning some HNT, so I leave it be. - about a day ago, all activity just stops. No notice on why. I go online and see a number of people are expressing grievances with some changes. Overloaded network. Miner is still online and relay mode, even after I made the connectivity changes. - this morning, the status changes from online to “needs attention” because it’s offline. I haven’t made any new changes. I log into the miner, see it’s still connected to wifi. I reboot the miner. Still “needs attention” but I have no idea what the issue is. All of that to say, communication should be better here (maybe a section in the app with latest news, including possible network issues that may result in downtime). I was excited for this project, but my initial experiences make me think this is just a dud..Version: 3.11.0

✓ Think twice!-- read onI paid $500 for my Bobcat 300 back when people were making $4 p/day of passive income, they were back logged in the factories so I had to wait 6 months due to High-very high demand. 6months later I receive my Bobcat 300, excited, my friend got one as well, I plug it in inside of my house by a large, tall window, I witness 1 beacon (SOMETIMES) and I get witnessed 1-2 p/week, HNT payouts are atrocious, a shame really. They HAVE TO improve the system, higher rewards for miners, OR ELSE THEY WILL LOOSE MINERS(which is the treasure of this industry). I am hopeful and hesitatingly excited about this merge w/ Solana and the phones, We'll see... BTW, then I was told I needed to put the antenna up higher w/ a higher DBI, so I got a 5.8 DBI and installed it on my roof, I grounded and everything, another $100 spent, I got 2 more witnessed and began witnessing another beacon, TODAY I WAKE UP, check my rewards and 0 beacons witnessed, HOW? The diagnostic utility requires a Bluetooth pairing, which rarely works. And for those with outdoor units, good luck getting back on your roof, climbing up the pole you bought to mount this device up high, opening it, and hitting the tiny Bluetooth pairing button. Their backend must be overwhelmed by so many active users, I am pretty sure this is an infrastructure bottleneck more than an App issue. ✓ Needs toggle to disable wordsThis app nags for words to change accounts. Can you make it so we can toggle to disable the word nags. I sign out of my account when I am done using helium because I have memorized my words and don’t want my miners protected by Touch ID or Face ID or pin codes etc. Logging in is a breeze by just typing words. Logging out is a painful word hunt game. Also, can you privatize the words as you logout? My words appear in bright white as I click them, now I gotta make sure I don’t have shoulder surfers as I logout too. Please please let us disable this logout function. Maybe put something like if you want to disable logout guard you need to punch in your words successfully five times with zero mistakes so we know you really got this down before we remove the child proofing..Version: 4.0.1

✓ Getting worse as time goes byThe app used to be fairly solid, however over the last couple of months it’s become practically useless. Discovery mode rarely works even when the Helium team say it’s fully functioning. Hotspots show as offline when they’re online, online when they’re offline and relayed when the issue has been resolved. The explorer and API are no help at all either and often contradict each other. I have no idea what my hotspots are actually doing!! More often than not, the app will not load transactions or individual hotspot earnings, so I have no idea which hotspots have earned HNT. When you consider that this app is a wallet, it really needs to work and be rock solid! People out there could have hundreds of thousands of £s locked up in this. This app, the explorer and the API need bumping up the priority list before people start giving up with the whole project. ✓ Discovery mode and Asserting location doesn’t workI have NEVER used Discovery mode. It seems like it would be useful but ever since I downloaded the app it has ALWAYS said “You have run out of sessions for today. Try again tomorrow” despite having NEVER used it. Even more frustrating is when i first asserted my miner location I put the pin over my house, clicked to confirm and when it went through it ended up changing my location two streets over from where my house is and it WILL NOT let me change it. Every time I try to reassert my location it says “There was an error constructing the assert location transaction.” On top of that it wants me to pay for the app screwing up and not asserting my location where I told it to in the first place. I really like helium mining and support helium but this app has been a nightmare. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t do anything and there is no one to contact for support. ✓ Poorly made app.Honestly im very disappointed with the app. First of all, the built in map and hotspot viewer is terrible. Everything takes longer to load, you cant see hotspot details and activity. I just tend to use the website explorer due to how much better it is. Thats not even my main problem. For whatever reason, my app displays no notifications, discovery mode doesnt work whatsoever, pair is very iffy, and more. I dont know if this is unique to me or if others have had these issues as well but I swear it’s annoying. My hotspot has been ‘synced’ and connected to the blockchain for days but the app still says it’s ‘syncing’.
