My daughter likely left it somewhere in our room, but since I wasn’t in the mood to tear my room apart to try to find it. I figured I’d search for an alternative, which would eliminate the need to search for a remote ever again. Well I chose this app namely because of the first review I read and I figured it would to the job. The app connected my tv and my iPhone pretty quick. However, I quickly noticed all these pop-ups which I had to keep closing before I could access the remote. This was disappointing since I thought the $4.99 would limit ads. It was only after a few minutes and a few selections that the up and down buttons weren’t working. I do not recommend this app ..Version: 2.89

✓ Won’t connectI have very strong Wi-Fi signal, and a 2020 LG OLED TV. My phone and the TV are on the same Wi-Fi, in fact at this moment I’m screen mirroring from my iPhone to the TV – something that needs both devices to be on the same Wi-Fi. But this app cannot find the TV whether I’m screen mirroring or not. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled. I’ve refreshed several times, but no luck. I tried developer support from the App Store entry but it took me to a website telling me about WeedleApps. When I’m looking for support I don’t want to trawl through marketing information. So sadly I’ll be deleting the app which looked quite promising, but is affectively useless for me..Version: 2.17
✓ TV guide doesn’t connectI like the app except for one thing. The remote app image of the controller is exactly the same as the remote that came with the TV. All the buttons are exactly the same. However only the TV Guide Button does not bring up the TV guide. It takes you to the Home menus ( the little blocks along the bottom of screen). So regretfully this let’s it down. In fact it takes you to a User Guide not the listings “ Guide”. So if you want to plan viewing then you need the original remote. Ie there’s no point using the app. Nice idea but will have to forget the app except in emergency use only. Pity. :( 2 stars for now until the TV guide works; then I’ll up it to 4 or 5..Version: 11.2

If this app didn’t pop an ad up every 30 or so taps on the remote, causing my media playback on the TV to reset to the state it was out before I was trying to rewind. what’s worse is that, because you’re tapping quickly, you will accidentally open up the ad. ✓ Have to directly connect to network???I might be missing something, but this app is a waste. In my case, the blu-ray player has to be on the same network as the app on the phone. Who dedicates an independent hardwired connection directly to the network for a legacy blu-ray player? That’s absurd. I’m not going to worry with that, going backwards 10 years just so I can then access it from my phone. I imagine doing what people really want from an app like this and the millions of pointless duplicates is hindered by protocols or something, but there’s got to be a better way. I want to connect it with HDMI and then be able to control the device from my phone and access it like any other components (sound bar, TV, AppleTV, cable, Roku). Is that not possible? ✓ I get that it’s free but it’s really flakey....After using it will try to reconnect, do so, but leave up a “reconnecting” dialog so you can’t use it and need to quit the app. This is a multi step process because it doesn’t remember your TV so you have to go through brand selection and reconnection repeatedly. Suggestion to the developer. I only have one TV, please remember it and fix your networking code to be a little more robust.
