✓ Full of Freemium RubbishA decent enough Trials-esque 2.5d biking game ruined by awful micro-transactions and aggressively frequent ads. Remember when you could just disable ads permanently for a small fee in these games? Well now you can pay a monthly or yearly subscription to a mobile Trials knock-off that will cost more than your Netflix subscription. Lol..Version: 1.38.0
✓ Not enough levelsThere are only 33 levels which you will finish in a week or 2 of good playing time. The jump feature is not that well thought out. Great for what it is but the lack of levels is a big downer..Version: 1.42.3
✓ Pretty fun with a noticeable few flawsThe core gameplay is really enjoyable, especially when it gets a bit harder. The graphics are also pretty stylish, the customisation is nice, and the music is pretty catchy, but their are some annoying bits. The worst part is the heavy monetisation, with annoying pop ups trying to shell money out of you. I’m not totally agains microtransactions (even if I’d prefer not to have them) but spamming flashy pages with stuff to get money out of me is pretty frustrating. At least the other game ads aren’t too aggressive. Another issue that dying or resetting sends you back to a selection of 3 races, forcing you to do something you’ve already done. I would prefer if all the levels were separated and not grouped together in 3s. I also don’t really get jump mode. I’m guessing you just keep on buying upgrades but that just isn’t fun. For a few nitpicks, I would prefer if the camera mostly stayed to the side of you, or behind you, rather than trying to be showy at important times. Also, I can’t find bike stats, even though they definitely are different to ride. Let me know if I’m being dumb. Overall it’s mostly fun at the come but a lot of stuff brings it down, especially the thing with the levels.Version: 1.43.3
✓ Poor in game mechanics and so much moreWhy on earth do I have to go back and redo races I’ve already completed when I tap restart? Why does it not simply restart the race I’m currently doing? The mechanics of the game are seriously flawed as well. I could be on perfectly level track and my bike will flip upside down for no reason at all. And those levitating tubes, they do NOT work. All the competitors float up, but I sit there stuck at the bottom waiting for something to happen. I wanted to like this game. But the items mentioned here have frustrated me to the point of deleting it..Version: 1.41.0
✓ OkOk at first the thing that is frustrating is that if you drive up to an obstacle you have never seen before or it’s a trap your going to lose a life no matter what? Should give you a tutorial when new things are introduced when racing. Pretty fun game tho can’t see me playing it for long due to when you lose all three lives you have to start the chapter again nobody can be bothered to do that especially when finishing a tricky level..Version: 1.30.1

✓ Wasted possibilitySadly, it’s a decent game. The problem is it’s buried under a monetizing model that kills the experience. It’s a blizzard of “gems”, “coins”, commercials for other games, and never ending push to micro transactions. Every step is designed to push you to make a purchase or watch a commercial. It’s too bad because I would happily pay for an unlocked version of the game without all that nonsense. I’m sure the business model works otherwise they wouldn’t use it. ✓ ExhaustingThe gameplay for this game is fantastic, similar to Trials games. However it shoves the fact that it’s a mobile game really deep down your throat. The menus present you with 10 chances per minute to either pay them money or watch an ad in exchange for: skipping a level, reviving when you crash, getting a new color scheme, progress towards a new bike, double XP, more lives, nitro, spinning a prize wheel, becoming a VIP, obtaining gems, turning on “ace ride”, claiming extra idle income, claiming extra prizes from race loot, turbo jumps, claiming extra coins from jumps. The least obtrusive one is ironically the only ad they ever force you to see, the billboards that follow you around in game. For god’s sake the VIP membership costs $5 per week, more than a AAA MMORPG. I get what it’s like for developers trying to turn a profit, and they at least never force you to sit through an ad other than the billboards which don’t interrupt your gameplay, but it’s just exhausting and embarrassing to be bombarded with all this stuff. If you are like me and prefer to pay once upfront for a game, it’s a big pill to swallow. Ultimately for me it’s not worth tiptoeing around to get to the gameplay, especially knowing you’re making the game harder for yourself..Version: 1.43.1

✓ Game ok but.....I am absolutely abhorred at the inclusion of a £99.99 in app purchase to unlock a bunch of digital trinkets. My son wanted to purchase this but luckily we had parental controls on. I dread to think how many parents have been stung by this lowly trick. A typical AA console game cost about £50. ✓ Could be great, non withstanding the intrusive adsIt’s actually very fun and challenging (thus the 3 stars), but ads are mandatory (and intrusive) every time you crash. ✓ MediocreThis game is mediocre at best. It has fun graphics and the controls are decent enough. The problem is with how many ads their is. The game constantly is showing an ad and you have to watch ads if you want to keep playing if you fail. Most levels are repetitive and feel boring. Not to mention how many “one time deals” this game has. Every time you go to the menu it’s whither “ hey look at this cool bike that doesn’t change anything!” Or “do you wanna buy a pass to get you more bikes because we will give you a deal if you buy it now?” The game is definitely just a way to show ads while being able to do little to nothing. ✓ Be aware!!!This app is great, and it’s 4+ so I was confident it’s safe for my 5year old to play and use! I was mortified two days later as he started having horrific nightmares(it took us two Days to figure out this app uses the most horrific zombie adverts where their heads get chopped off and blood is pouring everywhere), it’s shocking they would allow third parties to use this kind of adverts knowing full well, 4+year old children will see this, it’s distressing and it damages their mental health!! ✓ A decrease from beforeThe original Gravity Rider was extremely fun, with just a few bugs. I was hoping this would really elevate it, but it ended up disappointing. It’s like a lesser developer made a mock-up of the original. I do like the jump mode, though. It feels like a neat mini game. ✓ “Zero” is what I’d rate it if I couldOriginal Gravity Rider is hard. It was also rewarding, and very classy. This version is trashy, cluttered, junky, ridiculous to navigate and I still can’t figure out some of the upgrade paths etc. It looks completely unpolished and comes across like a beta version of a game. They’ve nerfed the bikes and upgrades so it’s waaaay tougher to advance at all (unless, of course, you pay cash money). The absurd “jump” mode is a repetitive clicker that takes no skill whatsoever once you’ve played a few rounds. Don’t waste your time..Version: 1.43.11

✓ Beautiful but not funThe games mechanics are nice and the game looks great but it’s just not fun. I understand game developers need to run ads and make some money but the number of ads is ridiculous and takes away from the play of the game too much. You can also skip levels by watching ads which makes this game kind of passive. I encourage this game’s developers to look at games like TopDrives or Tacticool for better ad revenue strategies which give better balance to game play and while still making users watch ads..Version: 1.39.0
✓ Not a game.These are not games. They are nothing more than an ad fest. I played about three rounds before deleting it. To the developers. When I give 1 star it remains one star forever. You know you are targeting people to watch your ad’s and although the illusion of a game is there. It really isn’t. ✓ Really? The same levels as the first game?So at least five of the levels I’ve played are almost identical to the levels from gravity rider and honestly it’s just lazy. I get it you saw the first game doing kind of well and realised you didn’t have enough ads or enough items that you have to pay for so you rework the original make it ‘sleeker’ by having less playable levels and more things to pay for. ✓ AnnoyingI have never posted a review for an app before but this game is so frustrating that it warrants one. The gameplay itself is fine and is actually kind of fun but of all the games I’ve played on iOS this one is the worst in terms of excessive ads. Also many ads are displayed in such a way to trick you into accidentally clicking on them (ie. super small close button, telling you to swipe to do something but actually is a lie and just makes you click the link), which I am pretty sure is against Apple store policies..Version: 1.42.1

✓ Pretty goodI do really like this game since it is similar to that Moto game on Cool Maths Games, the main difference is lives, speaking of which, PLEASE GET RID OF THEM! They are so annoying that after I use them all up I normally just skip the race since all you have to do is watch a ad (same as getting ONE new life just to find that you died again and have to spend another 30 secs looking at the exact same ad) If you really wanted the lives there, maybe make like a hard mode and only have them in there for people who want to be more challenged. Now that we’ve got the main problem done, I really like the graphics of the game and how unique each track is, the controls are pretty simple, so I think it is just my problem getting the balancing ones confused and face planting into ground, that being said, maybe if the buttons were further apart that wouldn’t happen. Another suggestion for a future update is racing with actual other people instead of just AI. I feel like this game could be a really good hit, thanks for making it..Version: 1.30.3

✓ SuggestionsIt’s a great game I’m all. But the one of the downsides is that the levels take a long time to complete and the physics aspect isn’t the greatest. Another thing I would suggest is that with the hover bikes the have the same mechanics as the normal bikes. I’m not going to watch 7 ads just to get another bike that is harder to drive and doesn’t have any added bonuses. Even with the bikes that you have to earn it’s just a waste of time to get another bike and not have an different features besides the appearance and you should be able to upgrade it too.Version: 1.40.2
✓ One of the few good ones leftThis is the only type of game I’m willing to download anymore. And I don’t mean racing games. No ads unless you want bonuses or gems, simple to learn, hard to master with what seems like a decent curve in difficulty so far (level 16). Infinite tries, too. So no waiting for more “gas” 🙄🙄🙄. Unfortunately they do have the gouging weekly subscription option, but it’s easy to avoid and they’re not overly pushy about it. I really like this game so far, I hope I get better at it 😂 EDIT: I write a review for this fun game, and the next day there is a change that gives you one life per level. Each level has 3 sections that are getting much more difficult, and if you want a second chance or an option to have two hearts for 20 minutes, you need to watch an ad. It’s a dumb change that literally ruined all of the fun I was having. It’s going to sit in my library until they fix it, so I don’t lose my progress.
