Nothing specialIt’s convenient and easy to pay your bill. 3 stars because it has an option to let you make partial payments but when you choose partial payment it doesnt let you… so you are forced to make the full payment right then and there and cant use more than one card to split payment...Version: 15.9.0

Easy to Maneuver, comes with glitchesEverything would be fantastic with the app, however it never displays the correct amount we are supposed to pay. I always have to reference my lease with the company, then add the price of my utilities so that I can pay the correct amount each month. Other than this, the app has no issues..Version: 15.9.0

Horrible customer service. Stay away from First Key HomesHorrible customer service!!!! they are quick to call you back when your getting the place or renewing but anything other than that they will not answer your calls or call you back. You have to call the corporate office on NY and yell at them in order to get any service with First Key Homes. I will never get another property from them and you shouldn’t either. You will be highly disappointed..Version: 15.9.0

Fees too highWhile the app runs smoothly, the fees to use it are a too high. Nearly $10 per transaction can add up if using multiple accounts. $10 to pay utilities then $10 again a week+\- later to pay rent, just seems like an opportunity to nickel and dime the consumer/user. Especially when that’s the only real way to pay rent and utilities..Version: 15.9.0

Not good10 out of the 12 months that I have payed through first key, there has been something wrong where I cannot pay. The system being down being the biggest reason. Their response time is awful. Customer service was good but not great. They also charged us more and had to refund us money. Overall, I have had a bad experience with this company and will never rent from them again..Version: 15.9.0

Honestly not only is the app crappy so is the companyWanna know the break down. That is in a separate tab, instead of being with the total amount. You Can not put maintenance request through this app. Cannot reach out to someone to speak with on here, you might as well just call every time. So bottom line you can look at your lease and pay your rent… soo cool..Version: 17.2.0

FirstKey homes part of the problemFirstKey home along with all other corporations who own private property are the problem. These companies and private equity have taken so many single family homes off the market, forcing the population to rent. Guess what that also gives them the power to control rental prices which are astronomical. FirstKey does not care one bit about you, they only care that you pay. Also don’t be more than 5 days late $100 more on your rent. FirstKey is scum.Version: 17.2.0

ImprovementsThis app needs more access to information. I can’t see how much my utility bill when the rent is placed together. I feel like the utility bill need to have its own access to be able to see what I’m paying each month. Yes a bill gets mailed to the house but I would like to be able to see it when I go to pay my bill on my phone. Paper gets lost or left behind but if it was on the app I would have it everywhere..Version: 17.2.0

Not Roommate FriendlyWhen we started renting from FirstKey they allowed partial payments so it was really easy to split rent between roommates and then a few months in the app switched to only accept the full bill amount so we needed to send money via Venmo to get everyone’s money together every month which added an extra transfer charge to our monthly expenses. It wasn’t broken, why did they “fix” it?.Version: 15.9.0

Color choices are questionable, features are limitedI can never tell if I have accurately selected anything in this app because somebody chose the colors as dark purple on a black background. It is really hard to see. I also wish I could do maintenance requests through the same app. Although most of my maintenance requests sit as “scheduled” for months and then are canceled by the company, so I guess it doesn’t matter to First Key if I can file requests easily or not..Version: 15.9.0

Half the features don’t work.I really want this app to work. Please give it more attention so I can use the features listed. I have a brand new phone purchased within the last year, so I’m sure it’s compatible. I don’t even get notifications for work orders. This has the potential to be so helpful if you get it up to par..Version: 12.9.0

First key homes is terribleFirst key homes is terrible at communication. You never get to work with the same representative so there is no continuity and you have to explain any issues all over again with each attempt to fix a problem. They charge you fees with zero explanation and then it takes months to solve issues. Highly recommend finding a landlord that isn’t a big business who doesn’t care about its tenants..Version: 17.2.0

Payment OptionsI like that now I get the option to pay my bulls my way, however if I want to use my debit card straight from my checking it’s an additional $5. If it was a credit card I can see the charge but my checking account debit card? Honestly? Not a fair charge..Version: 13.9.0

Ach paymentsI think it’s a real inconvenience that you have to wait until a direct deposit is deposited to have ach payments. Definitely think this should be changed. If I needed to pay my rent on the fifth via ACH i wouldn’t be able to because you have the wait until you’re deposited the verification amount..Version: 15.9.0

First key homesI’m not happy with first key homes, it’s hard to get into contact with anybody that can help. My power has been disconnected because they have failed to pay the electric company here in Carroll county Georgia. I have lid my utility bills they have sent me within one business day of receiving the statement!!!.Version: 13.9.0

Payment issues and moreMaking payments using my debit card or checking account is basically impossible it won’t allow me too add my debit card it says that I already have it on file (which I don’t) And when I try too use my checking account it says that it has too be verified first ( which I’ve been trying to do since the last month ) so it only allows me too use my credit card or Apple Pay which Apple Pay is the only way I can actually use my debit card which charges a $10 fee and my credit card charges a $50 fee but my checking acc is free but I can’t even use my checking acc Also I don’t like the way we have too schedule for maintenance. Scheduling for maintenance should remain in the app and not a third part website Also the area that’s supposed too show me my lease agreement is non existent.Version: 15.9.0

Love my home but not the management company!!I love the home I live in. But the management company not so much. I personally think that they are not responsive to residents concerns, requests, or issues and everything is on the tenant. So all they do is basically just provide a roof over your head and everything else is on tenant. Anytime you contact them make sure you document who you spoke with and when because they almost never follow up or follow through on anything unless you call them 10 times which is sad because it speaks to their professionalism as a management company which is why I just try not to call because it’s draining to tell ppl how to do their job especially when ppl are struggling trying to pay their rent during a pandemic..Version: 12.9.0

Easy to pay, not submit maintenance3 stars because I've had multiple maintenance requests not go through or give me error messages and all the other tabs (like community) are empty. Paying from the app is about all this is useful for, but it works fine..Version: 15.9.0

Rent payment optionI refuse to give any stars. I did the steps to pay online with my checking account, which you guys deposited 0.5 cents in my checking account. But I’m unable to pay with my checking account. I’m probably not the only resident having the problem, because we are being forced to pay with are credit or debit to give out extra money. For a year I did this and paid out over $1000 fees and I have my checking account on file and your system want let me pay. BUT IF I CALL AND ABLE TO GET A REP ON THE PHONE BAM IT GOES RIGHT-THROUGH…STOP SCAMMING YOUR RESIDENT!.Version: 15.9.0

Maintenance DowngradesBeen living in my home for 2 years now and the maintenance system they’ve had in place has always been bad, but has gotten worse. They removed the ability to report damages via the app or phone. When you do make an appointment for a maintenance visit they schedule it automatically without asking what time we are available. Maintenance workers are always very unprofessional and poorly informed about the issues..Version: 15.9.0

Colors could be betterThe app works fine. The developer needs to evaluate the color choices when making payments. The purple on the black may seem cool, but it is difficult to see when making selections. Suggest making the background a light color with selections dark so it can be seen way easier..Version: 15.9.0

Background way too darkSuper easy to make payments & see history, etc. Very user friendly. BUT - the background is black with most of the text in purple- very hard to read, wish there was a way to either choose a different background color or the color would be changed to something lighter- gray or white would much better. Even light blue or light green..Version: 15.9.0
