✓ Brilliant indeed, but not so usefulFirst a big thank you to the developers. Even though I don't really like it I'll put it at four star to appreciate your efforts. It is a beautiful app, with all these colours, animations, and the overall organisation. But, maybe it's just me, these delicate stuff seems a bit superfluous, or even overwhelming sometimes. If you want a Pro app with a Pro feel, then this is not it. Not to compare with Drafts, let's just look at Bear, iA, or even Notion. I tried Allegory with "reduce colour" and "reduce motion" turned on, and it still doesn't solve the superfluous problem. I admit that with the introduction of SF symbols and Swift UI, it becomes easier to build beautiful apps, but beautiful must not come before usefulness. My two cents: - Maybe on the "today" stack, add a new gesture (or simply a scroll bar down below) to enable faster scrolling. - The reduce colour option should be done in a different way, reducing the variety of colour, rather than grayscale the headings. Gray is not easily legible and should only be used for caption and comments. - Considering adding a quick access bar either at the left edge or the right edge..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Beautiful and pleasure to useWell designed and beautiful. This is a good notes app that works well and has a good search function. Similar to Apple Notes but perhaps a bit slicker and intuitive. I look forward to seeing how it evolves!.Version: 1.0.1

✓ Lovely app!This so visually appealing and the features are great. I have loved Bear for years, but have switched to Allegory. It does have a few bugs, but apparently the developer never sleeps because when I have emailed for support I have received help immediately! That says a lot about a developer‘s commitment to an app and those who use it!.Version: 1.0.9
✓ Beautiful fluid app.Beautiful app with lots of customisations. Stunning to the eyes and great functionality. Has clear instructions on download and takes some getting used to but great once you’ve played around a bit. Definitely replacing my notes app! Just the customisations I always wanted!.Version: 1.0.1

✓ Beautiful but...I’m still having problems saving what I have typed. Try to delete the examples from the “notes” folder and they reappear. Nothing gets saved or if it does it gets saved as an empty file. Has huge potential but isn’t ready yet!.Version: 1.2.3
✓ FantasticI'm genuinely not sure what the other apps are complaining about. It's genuinely beautiful, and kinda exactly what I was looking for in a note taking/writing app. I really love it. Thank you! I really thoroughly enjoy this app and it compels me to write more on my phone. I have bear as well, but I've found it ugly. I know aesthetic isn't everything but for someone who cares it makes a difference..Version: 1.2.0
✓ Finally a worthy competitor to Bear and UlyssesFirstly what a gorgeous UI, looks incredible on the iPad in dark mode, and takes full advantage of the larger Pro display. The attention to detail is also refreshing to see, from the animations and parallax beauty to the handy infographics, really well done. I can’t wait to see what’s next for the app, it’s still early days as far as being on the same level as Ulysses but it’s definitely not a million miles away, and the pricing is a lot better too as the free version doesn’t reduce functionality in any way other than exporting, but still more affordable than Ulysses. A couple of suggestions I would make would be to incorporate a ‘simpler, quick note’ style for users that aren’t looking for all the markdown functions but just want to take notes beautifully, like Bear allows. If there was a quick note function of some kind that brought up a different interface when writing a new note, offering nicely set margins and headers and allowed you to set bold/italic etc without seeing the ** on screen, I think this app would draw in so many more users and dominate the note taking market on iOS. So much potential here, maybe in the future, ability to record sound from lectures and import images that could be manipulated to position anywhere within the note - game changer of an app, but so far very pleased with it and the future looks bright 🔥.Version: 1.2.1
