✓ Useless app...I downloaded this because it says on its info that it has the locations of all Mobil stations. But I wasted my time because I have to register in order to even enter the app. I don’t have your loyalty card and I never will because I drive a truck and mostly use truck stops. I also use a fuel card that cannot be used in conjunction with your loyalty program. What a complete waste of space..Version: 1.0.6
✓ App doesn’t loadThis app doesn’t load over wifi, either completely doesn’t work and just shows loading circle or shows blank screen, tried turning phone on and off again and redownloaded the app. This is an app issue..Version: 1.0.7
✓ Poor readabilityIcons are to small and too light grey Much of the text I does not have enough contrast or is too small .. designed to look nice but be hard to see even if you eyesight is 90%.Version: 1.0.6

✓ Slow, Buggy and Broken (December 2023)The apps refuses to load QR codes for vouchers without excessively quitting, reloading and spamming the retry button. I have tried to use this app on two separate occasions and both took far longer than the time it was worth to get the fuel discount / free coffee. Have tried on both WiFi and 5G Mobile Data, the app is simply broken. Will be getting fuel elsewhere as it’s simply not worth it, which is a shame as Mobil is my local :( Stay far away..Version: 1.5.3
✓ Can’t log inHave downloaded app and it won’t let me log in, deleted and reloaded app 3 times enter email address push next and won’t move from that screen. ✓ Unable to set up payment method......without being at a Mobil station. I can just imagine the app development meeting now where this "feature" was hatched: Team Member A: "Let's make it so that the payment method setup is part of the initial pay-in-car process." Team Member B: "I foresee a problem here - users will be forced to sit in their car to navigate this step the first time they use the app - if there is ever going to be a problem, it's going to be that time. This is likely to create queues at the pump and stress for our users. Let's make the payment method setup an independent process." Team Member A: "Whatever. You're so negative. ✓ Unable to validate the account! Tried so many times!Unable to validate the app. SMS verification attempted so many times! With COVID 19 most preferred is contact less transaction which this can provide but unfortunately the attempt to successfully register with this app has been a big fail..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Pay in car has never ever workedDespite having over 3500 smiles points, I've never been able to get pay in car / at pump to work. The Z and BPME apps always work but this one never does. Which a shame. I find the service in store better, but let down by NZs slowest and most unreliable petrol app. Do yourself a favour and don't download it..Version: 1.4.0
✓ Late and double charging for fuelThis is a warning to all who bank with Westpac, the Mobil smiles app DOES NOT WORK well with Westpac bank customers! The customer service agent at Mobil admitted to me that they have lots of Westpac customers who use the Mobil smiles app and have similar problems with late and double deduction of funds. It took me 10 DAYS to get Mobil to refund me for charging me twice for 1 transaction! They then told me to contact my bank and sort it out myself! Save yourself the hassle and just use the BP app or pay at the pump. Believe me this is such a pain for a app that’s supposed to make filling up easier. It really makes it harder!.Version: 1.4.2
✓ Zero wld be more appropriateDO NOT USE THIS APP it steals your points and rewards, not to mention is so slow and does not issue receipts I have sent this feedback directly to mobil as well as want my points and rewards returned especially have been a loyal smiles member for years grrrr not happy.Version: 1.1.2
✓ Riddled with errorsTerrible app - encountered error messages wherever I tapped from the moment I opened the app. Tried to pay at pump and error messages (C3003 and C4101) kept popping up! So annoying and disappointing - ended up giving up on the app. Have long used the BP and Caltex apps to pay at pump and been smooth so was expecting the same with this one - turns me off going to Mobil since I prefer the convenience of the option to pay at pump via apps. ✓ Fix the bug, lower your security level, please.FaceID popping out will cancel the login or payment in your app, bro, FaceID always pops out to input a password or PIN when login or pay, I have to turn it off to make an payment. You are not an app that important to feel interrupted by FaceID. You should not feel interrupted by anything. What am I supposed to do with all these securities you gave to me, fuel my car in enemy territory?.Version: 1.5.1
✓ Can be improved!So many glitches on the app! It at times will process my payment, payment gets deducted but the app crashes, says error occurred. Therefore having to wait 10-15 mins for my money to return. Its happened several times while using the app, so frustrating. I’ve even made contact the customer service team, they hung up... after a long pause waiting for their answer as to why? So, therefore I uninstalled the app restarted my phone, then installed the app again. With still no success. Wait It gets better, after reinstalling this app, I’ve had to login again and then reload my visa debit card, now it’s saying “error” please try again. It’s now been 3 days retrying this stupid useless app. Even customer service don’t even understand, and just suggested try another gas station. Huh yup so I did....went back to using BP! 🤷🏽♀️🤨.Version: 1.0.4

✓ DON’T PAY ON APPUsed it Saturday and chose maximum $90 and only used $63 . Mobil put a hold on two lots of $90 on my bank account totalling $180 overdrawing my account and leaving me with no money. How ever Mobil were quick to resolve the issue on the Tuesday. Just beware of this issue , most likely if you’re with cooperative bank. Thank you for your help Mobil..Version: 1.0.3
✓ Pay in car freezesI used “Pay in Car” for the first time today. Initial stages were fine. I came back after fueling. The App still says “ Ready to fuel Please exit your vehicle and start fuelling. A Please leave mobile in your car while fuelling.”. And it then stays there and freezes. The freeze was there for about 10 plus minutes. And for clarity, my Apps are up to date with latest IOS updates. I have never had an issue with BP App and pay in car there. This was a bit disappointing “MOBIL”. ✓ Worst performanceThe app doesn’t work properly on my iphone XR. When ever i try to open the smiles card at the teller it takes min 2-4mins to open. ✓ Privacy RiskRead the Ts&Cs an privacy policy thoroughly!!! “We may transfer the personal information we collect about you to countries other than the country in which the information was originally collected.” I also talk about third parties accessing more than one piece of information to use together such as CCTV footage. I don’t understand how that is research to improve yours or somebody else’s business and in my opinion appears to be profiling. For these reasons chose not to sign up.Version: 1.1.1
