✓ ScammersI was very happy with this product. They sold me on it because they offered free cloud storage to review videos for several days. Then one day I can’t open any videos. Product is useless now. There is no built in storage so without paying for cloud you can’t use the product. At least give us 24hrs to review our videos. I can understand paying for more than that but there must be some level of free coverage or the product is garbage..Version: 2.7.5

✓ They hold your video for ransomYou used to be able to see the doorbell camera video without a subscription. Now you can’t bypass the subscription page to see any events that just happened. ✓ For someone on a budget this isn’t badThe camera quality isn’t horrible I have seen much worse. Night vision works pretty well, day time is great, audio is clear, Wyze cam has the better picture quality but blink has the better audio quality. The biggest perk of this is the cloud storage you get a week for free for life… a week is enough for what you need and you can save the clips to your phone. The worst part of this is the detection, set at max sensitivity and it still doesn’t get half the people who come up other and it is super delayed probably 15 second delay and doesn’t start recording till they are on the porch. Detection service is very spotty at best. It works it does what it should but buy a second set of batteries and a charger and then you don’t have to worry about hard wiring to a doorbell or having an ugly cord running from it..Version: 2.3.6

✓ Offline or batteries need chargingI ordered 2 of these wireless doorbell cameras December 2022. I sent one back and replaced it after 2 weeks. The device said Device offline and couldn’t be fixed. The new one occasionally will say the same thing but if I take the batteries out and put them back in that goes away. The first charge of the batteries lasted about a month. Now I have to recharge the batteries once a week. The cameras where are the batteries filming leaves moving on the trees but sometimes will not film the garbageman driving up collecting the garbage. These are both subpar devices and really not worth the $35 apiece that I paid for them..Version: 2.6.6
✓ Useless customer service. Device doesn’t work for voiceAbsolutely useless customer service. I have had an issue where images/videos were not showing in the app, despite them showing in my notifications. Customer service ignored my comments and just repeated themselves several times. In the end I reformatted the microSD card, which they did not suggest to me, I was just trying anything. On top of that, it says their times of support is 9-5 min-Fri, but each time I sent a message it recorded a time that was incorrect. One time 2 hours early, the next 7, then 12. Useless. Machine has never worked for voice to someone at my door, it’s been garbled since day one. I’d say you get what you pay for, but when I bought this it was a similar price to others on the market. ✓ They remove free cloud storage with no warningI bought a video doorbell with free Aiwit three day playback cloud storage for life stated in the item’s description about 18 months ago. It was good and I was very happy with the quality but since owning the device Aiwit has removed the free cloud storage three times and instead get a screen to take out a six month or yearly subscription at a fee in order to view video playback. The first time I complained to them and they apologised and said it was a technical error and the free storage resumed. A few months later the same thing happened, again with no warning or explanation. When I complained they said they had never promised free cloud storage for life but that as the device had been sold as such by the reseller ie the large online store I had purchased it from they would honour it and so the free storage resumed. Then, in February this year, you guessed it, free storage again disappeared and this time no response at all to my messages. Apparently as they are based in China Trading Standards can’t assist however I contacted the online store I purchased it from and they kindly gave me a refund for the video doorbell. I would, based on my own experience, not recommend Aiwit and hope other customers have a better experience….Version: 2.6.3
✓ Easy to use, but subscription is per deviceThe cameras I use are good, the problem is when you have a new addition, you get some time free for reviewing videos captured, but eventually that ends, you then have to subscribe, but the subscription is per item and not for the account created, so I have 2 cameras, and annually that’s near £50 to be able to view the recordings, I wish I had know this before investing in the cameras..Version: 2.6.5
✓ Not HappyWe purchased this door bell as a view to keep an eye on our driveway when we were away….it was good in the first instance but when we came to recently see who was at the door we couldn’t answer the bell because this app kept coming up with you need to subscribe….at no point was we aware that we needed to pay for storage to iCloud as I do not save my videos this addition has now rendered our door bell useless needless to say we are not paying for a service we don't require, considering I already have an iCloud account you needn’t think we’re paying for another iCloud account, we will be looking for a new device that we do not have to subscribe to….and will not be recommending this product to anyone…….Version: 2.5.3

✓ Disappointed with purchaseI wish I had done more research prior to buying this camera. Records only in 15 second increments. Constantly. So your sd card fills up with nothing of importance. Unable to format card using the app. I now have to climb a ladder, remove the card/camera to access the sd card and place it into my computer to format card. ✓ Wouldn’t recommendI was given this doorbell from my council for safety reasons and to begin with I was pretty happy with it, but after around a year of use the app would constantly disconnect from wifi even though the doorbell hadn’t moved & there was no problems with my wifi. I would receive notifications of motion at my door yet when I clicked on the app there would be no recordings there. The app then started to charge a subscription fee out of nowhere with no notice which I’m not happy with. If this app worked very well then maybe I wouldn’t be so bothered about paying, but I’m not going to be paying for a service that doesn’t work a majority of the time. ✓ It’s not worth the one starAs title states it’s not worth the one star I gave it, if I could give it minus 5 I would my doorbell stopped working and I tried to reconnect but service help gave me instructions I followed to the letter kept saying registration failed so I wanted to delete account after getting no help from so called service helper I was told by the helpful Luna to go into app the one she’s just spent an hour not helping me to get back into and delete account there so eventually I found a way myself how to get to the delete account section but I need to put in my password to confirm the action I comply and what do I get but the word error over and over again so I’ve just deleted whole app and I highly recommend get anything but Aiwit.Version: 2.7.3
✓ Poor qualityI purchased this device with great expectations. The unit has failed to hold a charge even when manually charged over 2 days. It still reads as having a low battery. I charged again for 3 days and it shows 14% battery life. I have done all the recommended steps that their customer service has suggested and the issue is still present. Missing lots of things going on at front door because of it. They asked me for my purchase information which I provided and they have repeatedly ignored any of my attempts to communicate with them since. Also has a plug/port which lets you use a “cell phone” still plug. ✓ Logs you out constantly and has notification delayIt keeps logging me out non stop! Literally every single day I have to log back in! It happens to my husband on his phone too! It’s mostly when u don’t open the app for more than 24hours. It also has a delay in notifications. When I get the alert that someone or something is at my front door, by the time I open the app and it loads, the person or thing is already gone. Now, you MUST pay a subscription fee to access the cloud footage; rendering this doorbell completely useless if you use it for checking on things happening on your doorstep. At purchase, the doorbell promise free cloud storage for a few days; now, it has revoked this selling-point and forced you to pay to remain using it. On the downside When someone rings the doorbell, by the time I opened the app to answer it, it takes so long to load the person at the door has left. I’ve had it for three months and not once managed to successfully answer the doorbell when I’m away from home. Now your expected to pay to view any videos which are literally about 10 seconds long. They now require a sign up with iCloud which is a terrible rip off and makes it effectively useless so I’ll be getting rid of it and to find a better free alternative. Takes several minutes to load when checking the camera on live feed…which defeats the purpose because it doesn’t record when you are viewing and whoever is there will be gone by the time you can see. The sun sets it off but a car, animal or human won’t even when set at the most sensitive setting. I choose to start paying for the subscription so I could review my videos and it doesn’t record or store any even when I’m paying. ✓ Okay - ishI was given this a present. It’s okay. The bell isn’t loud and if you have your phone on silent which I do frequently then you miss people at the door. That’s when it actually connects to the live feed.. takes far too long. I have the best internet going and the bell is literally the other side of the wall from my router. ✓ Okay camera but need to pay for video playbackI bought both a Eken doorbell and a camera online and have been using them for 2 weeks. Despite some issues with Wifi connection once in a while, both items work fine. The Aiwit app itself is okay, but do NOT buy their products if you don’t want to pay $30 a year for cloud storage. What is worse, it’s $30 subscription fee for each product, so it means I must pay $60 for two items to use the cloud service. It is a complete ripoff. There are other brands offering SD card slot option (without forcing you to sign up for cloud), which will save you tons of money. ✓ It’s okHad for a few months now and overall it’s not a bad device for the money. Camera quality is decent, especially of a night. There has been teething problems though and occasional issues but I’ve been able to fix it myself. It stays connected to my wifi well and i have not had any connection problems while I’ve been out. It does seem to disconnect from my phone and I have to reconnect it maybe twice a month. The doorbell is only loud on my phone but it doesn’t always go off and that’s when I have to reconnect it all, which isn’t difficult in the slightest. This someone has tried to access and hack into it, and my cameras from the Russian federation. And these are being blocked by my network( thank goodness), the saying they are no malicious sites and places why is this not being patched and fix through the app itself? I had paid for this in the past subscription and this was continuously going on, and I’m now fed up with it and not in no longer the past couple months I’m deeply disturbed and upset with this company that they would allow potential hackers to hack peoples cameras and about it, and notnotify-people I am notifying people now for their own safety and their family safety, as well I’m notifying Apple so they can potentially remove this from the App Store This company owes its customers an answer, and Compensation and actual safety, and security, which is why the camera for security is supposed to provide Aiwit, and it’s developers have failed their customers. ✓ Eh. It’s okay.It’s just okay. The video starts recording too late to catch whatever triggered it, then it only records for 20 seconds at a time. So on a windy day my phone chimes every 20 seconds with a notification that says “motion detected”. This really needs to be fixed. If someone is on my porch I want it continuously recording without interruption! I also don’t like that we can’t set it to low sensitivity during one time frame and high during another without having to manually go in and change it every time. I do like that it’s battery operated so I didn’t have to run any wires. Easy to install..Version: 2.4.0
✓ Con jobThis was an adequate system enabling you to view videos for three days then they would be sited in the cloud. For which you would pay to access. Then the business model changed and I was supposed to be excited about the change. Basically you will be charged a monthly subscription. Why? Cloud costs have risen, don’t you know, and they now need to charge you. You are supposed to be excited as you can see your videos for 30 days. Rubbish. You don’t get a doorbell that rings in the house by the way - that’s another £15 extra. So now after £70 I have a doorbell that rings in the house and if I answer immediately I can speak and see what is happening at my front door without going to the door. ✓ Used to be so goodI was really impressed with this camera doorbell and app. It made me feel safe in a time of my life when I was getting harassed and the footage from this doorbell has helped with those issues too. However recently the payment has changed. It is no longer free for the last 7 days of footage and you need to subscribe for any footage to be viewed. I understand this doorbell is cheaper than some out there, but I feel a monthly subscription is too much. Surely there is a way around this? It works well with WiFi from anywhere though and the picture quality is very good. I bought a second EKEN v7 doorbell to put it in the garden but it has got water inside despite the company claims it's waterproof and it stopped working. I never got a reply from EKEN on my emails! ✓ Poor serviceI have had this device for almost a year suddenly today when i check videos I am taken to a starting p payment plan. It was my understanding that a storage plan was an optional extra. Apparently NOT now the videos have been blocked and the company is “forcing” users to buy a plan if they wish to continue with the videos. I was quite shocked to discover this and had I known in advance I would not have bought this product. Poor service I would not recommend this product unless you wish to buy extra storage. Doesn't even ever catch delivery guys dropping off packages, just when they're walking away or gone already. Very wide shot, doesn't show the floor. Every time there's a motion detection and you click on it, it doesn't go to the event it goes to the live video and you have to click back to the events. I knew what I was getting into, I just needed something quick. App isn't like, "good" on the eyes lol? Kind of ugly. Pros: I have my camera on high sensitivity, and even still battery life is great. It misses the person or object on the field of view and then misses the person leaving the field of view. App hangs up with switching modes and sometimes needs a restart to work. Live view has great picture quality and that’s the reason for two stars instead of no stars. If motion detection could be tweaked to actually record immediately and keep recording the target instead of stopping at 10 seconds that would make it much better. So I thought I would invest in a eufy 1080p Doorbell with local storage, this was after reading reviews with a score of 4 out of 5 but the image quality is far better on the aiwit (far better) and the motion control is far better on the aiwit, ok you can do a lot more in the eufy app but it’s no good if it doesn’t work! The aiwit doorbell didn’t miss much in term of people monitoring but the eufy does. For the price just pay the subscription it’s just as good as the mid level doorbells if not better. Don’t make my mistake and be £120 pounds lighter for something not as good. My internet connection is excellent on both doorbells but aiwit comes out on top in my book. I needed to broadcast both 2.4 and 5ghz bands under the same SSID just for it to connect the camera. Once connected, the camera would send 1 frame on live view after a minute or two and then time out saying network was too slow. That’s with -54dB and I turned on my old cameras just to double check there’s no connection or bandwidth issues with any of my other wireless devices. The concept is great as a camera that can swivel, and move 360 degrees, housed in a light bulb socket. But the execution is poor. Avoid this brand at all costs, this is my 2nd camera. My iCloud wasn’t full, sent a message to customer support and no reply. Looking through the comments this seems to be an issue and customer support ignoring messages. ✓ Piece of garbageThis doorbell is such a hunk of junk. Firstly, it advertises as free but it’s not. You have to pay a monthly subscription. Most importantly, I’ll be notified of a movement or visitor at the door, but when I go to play the video back to see who it was, it reads “no videos on this day”. ✓ Just stops workingI bought this device a month. Picture quality was awesome in day and night time! So yesterday it just stops working. It’s still picks up people at my door and I get alerts but I blacktop see who as it lol just logged me out of my account and won’t let me back in! Keeps telling me my log in info is wrong and no on file! Funny it happened right when the free trial was ending. I did have it set up to renew but I’ve now cancelled that. Why renew when you can’t work when it’s free! No one to contact whatsoever! They have a chat on the app that no one answers so that’s a great resource! Waste of my money! ✓ Changed the rules in the middle of the gameI never bought this product. I bought another product and then this company took over. It was fine for a while but now they charge you to look at your videos. I see many people have inquired about this online and the company ignores the requests and complaints. The old company never did charge and then in the beginning, this company never did. So, I now have bought a new brand I will drop this company as soon as I install it. ✓ Not as describedI bought this camera around 18 months ago and it said I had free access to 3 days worth of videos. Then, without warning, they took this away recently. I don’t want to subscribe. We live very remotely and have maybe one or two videos a week. I don’t need to pay and bought the camera as it said I could have 3 days of free videos before writing over with the next 3 days. I have since seen a few more reviews on here with the same issue. I’m tempted to get rid of the doorbell camera and install a Nooie camera I have lying around and put a normal doorbell back on again. At least Nooie really are SD card based, just a shame their doorbell isn’t for sale in the UK. ✓ Suddenly I need to subscribe?Yes, you guessed it. Along with many other reviewers, I am now required to subscribe to cloud storage to access any recordings. I won’t be doing that and have consigned the doorbell to the recycling. I have to say that video capture based on movement was always a bit hit and miss and often didn’t happen when I know it should have. On the doorbell activation side there was a terrible delay between someone pressing the button and the bell ringing and I can’t blame my network - the router was about a foot from the button. By the time my phone alerted me the caller was already far away from the house. I’m back to a standard,trouble free wireless bell..Version: 2.7.0

✓ In app purchase abuseLike a large number of users I have just found that basic functionality is now charged for. The change has occurred without warning and is a considerable downgrade of the product I originally bought. We are no longer able to access any videos without paying a yearly subscription of 30 pounds which is expensive considering the doorbell only cost 80 pounds. Will we have to pay a subscription to use the toaster or microwave? ✓ Works well, but…I’ve had the video doorbell about a year and it works well …when it works. It’s very inconsistent regardless of weather or battery status. As a result, it often does not detect a person or record activity, then will randomly start functioning again. I have downloaded the update, but the problem continues. It would be a great value if it could be relied on, but if reliability is important to you, I recommend spending a little more on a better product; the person this one doesn’t detect or the video it doesn’t capture could make a significant difference..Version: 2.8.3
✓ WaitThe basic cloud with your system works for each day. Awit is trying to force people to use and buy their products through force using deception to get your business. I contacted Apple and ring on their options and if they referred Aiwit to service people through their reference to Awit. Ring and Apple said they DID NOT and have not referred Awit to service their customers. Awit says they do it better and you should download them to service your ring doorbell. All actuality they are worse at serving you forcing you to use their higher cost system which doesn’t work any better. Don’t let their deception lead you astray as they did me. I removed their app and continue with the original ring system. Happy trails. Awit has 2.5 stars If you don’t stop trying to block me from my Live home app by trying to FORCE ME to take your company I am going to report this to the FCC. My last warning!!.Version: 2.8.0
