✓ Update, bug fixes?This was a fun game, until the update yesterday. Now, it doesn’t even load passed 51%! This update was to fix bugs. I’d been playing this game for years and wasn’t aware of any bugs. I guess the bugs that were fixed were to put a ‘block bug’ in the game so that we can’t play. This is also the 3rd time I’m reporting this issue, the other 2 times was from the ‘Help’ section of the game. The response I got then was to wait a few minutes and try again. Or try it on Wi-Fi…I play on an iPad, so of course I’m on Wi-Fi. Absolutely no help!!.Version: 1.28.0

✓ I get cheated out of coins earned!I would give this game 5 stars but as I play along and I have the chance to double my reward, most of the time I only get the original half I earned. When I watch an ad to double my, let’s say 300 coins, I want 600 coins not the 300!!! In my world 300 double is 600. I know this happens often because my Mom plays the same game and out of all the times she has watched the ad just one time did it double. When it’s the only way to get points I want what I earn. ✓ Good until.....I was really happy with this game and the easy challenges it provided. Something fun to do whilst I had a few minutes. Then it was ruined by them letting an advertisement in that doesn’t give you a chance to bypass or opt out. It just stayed there until I had to turn on and off my phone to get rid of it. Draft Kings Sportsbook is the culprit and since they chose them over me, I’m choosing to delete and find another game. Pity. It was fun for only a short time..Version: 1.5
✓ Repeated LevelsThis game is actually very soothing (I turned off the sounds, though, and only keep the music on), until I realized that several levels are repeated. The repetition of entire puzzles actually causes me stress because of how unexpected it is and how relaxed I am until I see that clue. I really like that you can report a clue but maybe if we could report a full puzzle, that could help ensure this doesn’t happen. I mean, repeating clues every once in a while would be one thing, but whole puzzles, nah. That is why this is three stars instead of five..Version: 1.10.1
✓ Remarkable language differencesI live in Montreal, Canada. I’ve been playing this game frequently for over a month. A have several friends who are also addicted to this game. Finding the words in the puzzle is a satisfying challenge. My main complaint, and all my friends share this complaint, is that the clues seem to use British references that Canadians don’t use. When solving a clue none of us come up with the answer revealed, because in Canada we use different terms. I don’t suppose you could make a North American version?.Version: 1.26.2
✓ Too many puzzles with the same clues.The puzzles are very easy which is good, because you can destress when playing them. I’ve completed Level 4540 and accumulated over 200,00 points. What I find disheartening is the last few Levels had the exact same clues over and over again, with a few exceptions. There is no thought put into this game. It is as if a computer is just running a program, no human has any input. I’m done with this game, and am moving on to something more challenging..Version: 1.11.0

✓ Not ChallengingI love word games, and was excited to try this one. It’s ok, but it was way too easy. The clues are so specific that finding the answers only takes a second. You don’t even have to look at the clues, if you swipe on any word you find it will automatically match that word up with the clue it goes with and you move on to the next one, even if you haven’t even read that clue yet. Maybe it gets more challenging in the higher levels, but I lost interest before I got to that point!.Version: 1.0
✓ Not RELAXINGThe hints are not helpful and are completely confusing. I even tried going on easy mode but no, hints were still too confusing. Not to mention that the game constantly froze up. ✓ Not respondingI have this game on my iPad and really enjoy it However, recently there seems to be an area of the puzzle that doesn’t respond, and it’s not the same area each time You have the clue, you see the answer but you can’t highlight it. What is even more frustrating is when it’s one of the last answers and you’ve got to use coins to highlight the first letter to make it start working so you can finish the puzzle. ✓ AdsI know that in order to make games free you rely on ads for your profits. I play two different games that provide a cool way to handle the problem. In one game the person plays for awhile then after some time I think something like 7 or 8 minutes a timer shows up in the corner at the end of the 5 minute timer an ad pops up. So you get a warning an ad is coming on. The other game takes a different approach. In that game the ads are steady but you get 8 minutes of play time then an ad then 8 minutes of play time then an ad. I think this game would be really cool if it did something like these two games. Without ads there would be no free games. The quality of this one is great and I really like the music and graphics. But if the player had some warning either with a timer or with an ad after every fourth or fifth round this game would be awesome..Version: 1.0

✓ Word lanes keeps freezingI have to delete the app, because it’s no longer relaxing. It freezes several (10-20) times during a 10-puzzle shift. Each freeze takes about 1-2 minutes to unfreeze, and I often have to back completely out of the app and return another day. I tried deleting and reinstalling, but it didn’t fix the problem. ✓ Fun but slow.The game is fun and has a great concept, great animation, very relaxing... but it’s too slow. I get that it’s supposed to be relaxing, and it is, and that’s fine! *for the levels*. But the segment between levels is unnecessarily slow. Maybe this is my low attention-span talking, but when I finish a level I want to be onto the next one quickly, and not have through an animation telling me “amazing” or something. It’s basically the equivalent of the games that put ads between every level. This seems so nit-picky, but when you go through even 10 levels it’s hard not to notice the long wait. First of all when a player plays a level and finishes it the game says the player wins seven thousand and some hundred points….BUT in all actuality the player only gets 15 points!! THEN…at the beginning of each day the player gets daily points and sometimes the player gets to double those points but lately what has been happening to me is this: After I watch the video and it comes back to the screen to collect the double points…it just kinda freezes. I have to turn my iPad off and back on and sometimes the game works, sometimes it is still frozen. ✓ One annoying glitchThe game is good overall, and I play fairly often. My only complaint is this: after each clue is solved and the word found, you have the opportunity of giving that clue a thumbs up or thumbs down. Which is great - BUT - on the very last clue on each level, the moment you “cross off” that final word, the screen moves on to the next level, and there is no way to give thumbs up or down to that last clue. And since, if I am going to give a thumbs down, it is likely to be for a clue that is difficult. And the most difficult clue is likely to be the last one I find. So the hard clues never get voted on. Pretty useless to ask the players’ opinions and then not allow us to give our opinion of all the clues..Version: 1.20

✓ Ad-Free purchase is not Ad-FreeThe game itself is pretty great! The clues and answers can be a little bit of a stretch sometimes, but overall no complaints. My issue is with the ad-free purchase. I bought the “ad-free” so I didn’t have to deal with ads. Yes, it does get rid of the pop-up ads in between rounds, but there’s multiple “watch an ad to double your coins” buttons and I would not call that “ad-free”. If you accidentally click on one of the buttons, there’s no way to exit the ad without force closing the app or waiting for it to be over. Why offer an ad-free purchase options if you’re still going to try and force ads down my throat? All I ask is that the ad-free purchase truly makes the game as free. I bought it because I didn’t want to see ads ANYWHERE! Until the ad-free purchase truly removes all ads, the game gets 2 stars..Version: 1.20.1
✓ Fun game but very laggy.As the title says. when i open it, it lags constantly. when i go into other apps wordlanes open in the background those apps also lag. it makes my whole phone lag. when the app is open, it takes a few seconds after pressing the lock button to actually lock it. when i try and get rid of it from my background apps to close it, it also lags then too. codycross also gives me this problem but not quite as bad. both games need bug fixing or something. none of my other games on my phone lag, none of my apps lag either. it's just the fanatee games that lag, and in turn, make other apps lag when opened. please fix this problem, and i'll be able to confidently rate this app higher..Version: 1.18

However, there is also quite a bit of trivia thrown in there too, but it is only about white people. There is zero trivia about black, Asian, Indigenous, or Latino people. Fix this or please take the trivia out. We learn about the history of mainly white ppl (98%) throughout many years of school from textbooks. I do not need to learn even more during what is supposed to be a relaxing game, especially when 100% of the trivia is only about white people again. ✓ Used to love this gameI used to love this so much, it was so relaxing and definitely was worth it as a pass time game. Recently I e noticed the adverts are literally after every single level and if you exit the app and go back on you have to watch another. The ads are all pretty much long aswell meaning you have to click a ‘X’ about 4 times before the ad goes away it’s really frustrating. I’ve also noticed it freezes so much now, when you first play it’s fine but after playing a few rounds it just starts to glitch and then I have to stop playing for that day. If someone paid to remove ads there should be zero gameplay elements locked behind ads. I'm still forced to watch ads on the daily unwind if I want to do a previous day's puzzle if I didn't do it that day. OK level of difficulty; every few levels there’s something I would have to look up, which makes for a fair challenge – if you know you’ll know most answers, force yourself to do them in order.
