✓ Frame rate issue on iPhone XOver the past few updates a frame rate issue has come up playing on the iPhone X. It starts out fine, but half way through a game, the frame rate drops and the animations start stuttering. It’s essentially unplayable at the moment. This aside, it was a good game in general, though the ads are annoying, especially as even with the sound turned off on the game, some ads have sound. Very annoying when playing and listening to an audiobook at the same time. I’d prefer to have the option to pay to remove ads..Version: 1.0.20
✓ Used to be such a great game.I used to absolutely love this game. I got back into it a while ago, and there were ads here and there, but nothing too terrible. I came back with the understanding that with time, these types of games are changing. More ads; it’s necessary to keep the game free. However, an ad after every. Single. Game. Failed or passed, becomes a little annoying! Still nothing I couldn’t live with. The little pop up after the ads telling me I can “subscribe” to remove them is kind of obnoxious but I really like doing the daily challenges, so I win some and lose some. I have paid money to remove ads in plenty of games. One-time payments of $.99, once even $10. But I’m not “subscribing” to a game that there’s a hundred other games nearly identical to.! I really liked the journey. I only got to participate in two, but the ad strips at the bottom hadn’t been noticeable before; if they were even there, but now makes it nearly impossible to hit “next level” on the journey levels. I already have to watch an ad every 2 minutes, is the strip at the bottom that blocks part of the screen necessary? At least move the button. ✓ Control your ads please.This is a great game and the flashing ad strip across the bottom of your screen was not too intrusive and other than that there was only one ad at the end of each game which you could easily click out of. Not any more. You can no longer click out of some of the ads, sometimes you have to click out of the game altogether to get rid of them. Lost me..Version: 1.0.20

✓ Another app...Another app where the reviews look slightly suspicious. So many written in the same style in short periods of time. Leaving that to one side, the game is ok but not as good as some others out there. It’s the sort of game I should like, I play other similar games and enjoy them. But, this one is more frustrating. Some of the shapes you are randomly given to fit in make it very difficult to get anywhere and therefore a game doesn’t last long. Also, there’s no options like in similar games where you can rotate the shapes to fit, so it’s a bit limited and ultimately frustrating because of that. Would I recommend it? ✓ Relentless adsLove the actual game. The daily challenges are great but you spend more time watching lengthy ads than actually doing the challenges. You wait for the ad to count down to press the cross and then your shown another ad. ✓ Great game ruined by too many adsThe game itself is a great simple concept, but after every cycle there is an ad. When you’re on a difficult level it means you are spending more time trying to click the ads away at the earliest opportunity than actually playing it. If it was after every 3 or 4 games I’d understand it, but literally after every time you get served another ad. The number of ads, together with the fact it can now be 3 clicks to get rid of them, has made me give up - I’m uninstalling..Version: 1.4.7
✓ Has potentialHi! Your game has a very attractive look to it. I like the “wood” look that makes it look old fashioned. I l like the feature that you can place the pieces wherever they fit and not necessarily within one 3x3 square. I really like the feature of making combinations or consecutive moves for more points. A couple of details that seem frustrating while playing is that you cannot rotate the pieces. I feel that we should be able to do that and also there should be a delay between placing the piece and it becoming a part of the board where you can’t move it. Sometimes we need a chance to change our mind before the final answer. One more thing we should be able to get a new piece once you use a piece and not having to wait until you place all three before given a new set. ✓ Newest Update Ruined EnjoymentThe most recent update absolutely ruined the whole experience of the game. In the midst of game play they hit you with an unneeded, unwelcome “break” to force an ad down your throat. The colour additions are visual disasters and distracting. Some ads you can’t mute and last for long periods of time. I find myself closing the app within moments of opening it. It used to be my go-to to kill time or play while talking on the phone. The only game I play on my device and now I’m going to be deleting it and this after a number of years and it being the only game on my phone, such a shame ad revenue corrupts good games..Version: 1.8.0
✓ DisappointedI don’t understand how this game can change as it has from first playing because it would give you a variety of different formed blocks to place so that you were able to place in spots to make a line or a fill a whole block to delete from board so that you could fill it again on and on this is how you get your points but lately it sends the same 6 and 7 set of blocks only sometimes more in the first and second and third time it sends you blocks to place on the board then it sends maybe 4 or 5 set of the same blocks during the time your trying to score high points to no avail there is no way you can it’s impossible it happens every time I try to play why do you not care why can’t you fix this why do you not want me to play this game why make a game if its rigged just to be disappointed I’ve gotten high scores before so don’t tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about this game needs to send different shapes of blocks on each game not the same three or four set of blocks over and over it only takes a few minutes before game is lost because what it sends won’t let you win I love this game others are so immature so please care enough to make people have a little enjoyment in life if not I will delete and never play your games again and I will also let others know how messed up this game is I don’t want to try other block games I like this one.Version: 2.2.0

I’ve been playing this game for awhile and Inoticed the trend of more and more ads popping up. Even when you have to switch to another app, you come back to the game only to have to wait thru more dumb ads. Since there is no ads free version, it’s clear that Athena Studios does not care about your playing experience but rather making money from ad revenue. HINT- there are many other similar games that won’t make you suffer thru a continue barrage of annoying ads. I’ve spent 100s of hours playing, and I’ve watched 1000s of ads since the no-ads version is too steep for my budget. The latest upgrade has prompted me to look for a substitute, though. The ads come every few minutes now, even mid-game, and, most annoyingly, are preceded by a “Time for a Rest” announcement that just adds insult to injury. ✓ Great game but TERRIBLE adsThe game is great, but the ads that play between levels are nearly impossible to get past. MAJOR FAIL! A player should be able to get back to playing after a short ad break, but these ads make it beyond irritating and incredibly frustrating. Almost makes me want to give up on the whole thing. ✓ Not what it used to beI’ve been playing this game for a long while now as it is quite addictive. However, today I’ve decided to delete it. While it used to be entertaining and fun to do for literal hours, the app has changed way too much in the past year. I understand the need for ads but like another reviewer said, after every single game? And now, not only that, but the dev has implemented a “break” cycle in the middle of the game that forces me to watch yet another ad. I’m watching an ad almost every 30 seconds at this point while playing and it’s taken the enjoyment out of the game. Now sure, there’s an ad free subscription service but, seriously? While I could justify paying a one time fee to remove these ads, ($0.99-$9.99) a subscription is a ridiculous ask for a game like this. ✓ Good gameI’ve been going through phases with this game for a few years now, and it’s a great game. I play until I get really fed up with the problems with it dragging. I don’t have an issue with adverts per se, they’re worth it for free game play. My issue is that the adverts seem to be causing the dragging issues - even after all of these years. But lately, the game is so riddled with interruptions, that it has made the game almost impossible to play. With the new changes, the game has gone from fun and relaxing to extremely frustrating! As an adult, I am able to know when I need to “take a rest” and can put the game down on my own without being prompted! In fact, it will give you instead, almost like gloating, the exact opposite piece that you need just to survive more often than not. Well, what do you expect, you’re playing a computer, and an algorithm designed by someone who just needs to beat you every time. Unlike Tetris, you can’t turn a piece. And, in your ad you equate it to Sudoku and it is absolutely nothing like Sudoku except the playing board has nine by nine squares. What are you, nine? ✓ Too random...While I fully understand that your decisions earlier in the game can/will have an effect on how the board shapes up later on, it doesn’t change the fact that you eventually get screwed by rng. Every time I lose, it’s always the same scenario. There are about 8 different pieces which could clear out portions of the board, but the three pieces they give me provide me zero means of succeeding. I can appreciate the moments where you have only one piece which will clear out room for the other two, or where two of the pieces are required in a specific spot to make room for the third. ✓ Why sniff my home network?Updated to iOS 14. Decided to turn off my ad blocker because of an issue. Played Woody 99. There's a little ad showing at the bottom of the screen. Not awful. But when the interstitial ad pops up after I complete a level, iOS alerts me that it wants to access my private network so that it can discover other devices. What! For this reason the ad blocker is going back on permanently. I'm shocked that the developer hasn't encountered this and dealt with it. Tragic flaw: never trust advertising tech when you add it to your software. And finally there was a huge bug. A overlays interstitial advert wanting me to "join" to play some sort of "build your gallery" game wouldn't go away no matter how many restarts. So I deleted the app from my phone and reinstalled. The ad is gone. But I'm still haunted by which ad network wanted to sniff my network and why the developer didn't catch it in testing..Version: 1.3.1

I don’t mind watching ads between games, but not in the middle simply because the developers think I need a “rest”. It is none of their business when I need to rest — some of us a very busy but want to squeeze in a game between meetings, etc., but now we have to take ad breaks in the middle of the damned game. ✓ CrashI have been quite addicted to this game and played it almost everyday until now. I have tried so hard to get a high score over 10,000 which isn’t easy and on 3 separate occasions my game crashed and I lost my score. First 2 times was when I reached 10,000. I deleted and reinstalled the app again and thought I would give it another try. Well...it happened again. I actually made it over 10,000 this time and was just about to reach 14,000 and it crashed again. Each time my score reverting back to 0 with no record of my highest score. ✓ Too many ads!!!!I had to delete this game as the frequency of the ads kept increasing. If you pause the game, perhaps to take a call, you have to watch another ad to continue your game. Shameful!!!.Version: 1.3.2
✓ A good time passerThis game as simple as it is has had me forgetting the time as i sit playing it. Keep up the good work :) EDIT: I’ve downgraded this to a 3 star from 5 purely because it went from a good game with ads i could gladly cope with, to it now stopping my music with ads that are annoying. If you dont play music and can handle these type of ads then by all means play it, but for me it may get deleted soon.Version: 1.0.8
✓ Advertising impossible to dismiss without opening linksThis is a fun game however the advertising that shows upon completion or failure of a ‘daily challenge’ is in violation of the developer guidelines. It is impossible to dismiss advertising without opening links to the App Store. See guidelines: “Interstitial ads or ads that interrupt or block the user experience must clearly indicate that they are an ad, must not manipulate or trick users into tapping into them, and must provide easily accessible and visible close/skip buttons large enough for people to easily dismiss the ad.“.Version: 1.4.8
✓ Ruined!No more daily challenges?! Asks to continue as exploitative ploy to “buy” and ultimately waste money after spent money to get ad free version of the game. So disappointed.Version: 1.9.1
✓ So so-but too many glitchesI almost never play the regular game, but each day I would play the challenge game. To me, that was more fun. Then they started this new thing called Journey. It was okay at first, and I liked how each game became more challenging. But, there's a time limit and to finish in time you pretty much have to play for hours and hours each day. I'm no slouch and finish maybe 80% of the games on the first try and 95% on the second. So, it doesn't take me forever to finish a level, but I don't want to play any game for hours and hours. And for some reason the ad banner blocks the view of my options for pieces to play. And, even weirder, the Journey game shows up on my phone, but not my tablet. Then it's on my tablet, but not my phone. I ended up deleting it. Just not worth it..Version: 1.7.1
