Recover Athletics for Negative User Reviews

It has promise, but is not worth a subscription in its current form at thThe app is great to help people identify exercises to help with soreness and mobility. However, for $15 a month I would except the service at the very least to integrate with Apple Watch (a companion app), send completed routines to Apple fitness, and most importantly guide the user through the workout. Instead, the workouts have a timer that counts up (if you choose to set one) with no guidance on how long to do a set once the workout starts, not a bell or other indication to alert you to move to the next movement/rest etc. I spend more time managing the app than focusing on the movement. The price is comparable to AF+, so I would expect the service to guide users through the routines. I’ll definitely come back if these updates are made, but it’s an incomplete service right now..Version: 1.287.1

Good ishI like that I can publish my recovery to Strava, but there are hardly any free routines (I switch between two because they are the only relevant free ones for me). Seems like it should be free for me to make my own routine so I can do what my coach recommends and still post that to Strava. The best part is that I can track my soreness and that it reminds me to do some sort of recovery..Version: 1.7.4

Very brokenVideos to demonstrate workouts take 30-60 seconds to load, and sometimes don’t play at all.Version: 1.285.0

Enjoying the workouts but…I’m finding the app randomly closes out on me..Version: 1.287.1

Has potentialGlad to have this included in my Strava subscription, but I probably wouldn’t pay for it otherwise. Lacking some basic features such as set counter, and countdown timer. I also don’t think some of the stretches have enough cues to ensure that you’re doing them properly. Hopefully Strava focuses on developing this now that they’ve acquired it!.Version: 1.285.0

App doesn’t loadTried to load the App a few times and won’t load. Strava link also freezes the App..Version: 1.6.6

LimitedThis app has great stuff for lower body and covers most common injuries for running and cycling. However given the general name and nature of what they advertise they are very limited in actual recovery. There is hardly anything for core and most of the stuff for core is NOT recovery exercises if you have an actual core injury (such as diastasi recti or post op). And there is nothing for shoulder or upper body injuries at all. They definitely should hire a team of corrective exercise specialists and expand their workouts and library to cover those core and upper body recoveries. Until then 3 stars for how limited it is..Version: 1.287.1

Who would use this?Maybe it is just an undeveloped app but there is nothing functional about it. The voice instructions just repeats itself endlessly and there is no countdown timer or counter for the reps. It should have a start and pause button that goes through the amount of reps and it should have the voiceover say the instructions once and then be able to repeat them if needed. This was an obnoxious waste of my time and I am annoyed that it was an instrgram ad that hooked me into installing it..Version: 1.5.2

Won’t connect it StravaStrava announced they took over this app and you get it as part of your subscription. The only downside is that it doesn’t let you connect/login with Strava! You get a “There was an issue connecting to your Strava” every time you try to connect or login after authorising it.Version: 1.6.6

Easy to useFor a complete beginner this seems to work well enough. Select the sore bit and the app provides a suitable workout. However it seems to be focussed on runners not cyclists.Version: 1.280.0

Nice ideaI’ve found that the routines haven’t worked for me due due to a lack of home equipment. It would be nice to be able to tell the app that I don’t have the required equipment so that it can rule out or substitute routines that require them. My next issue is that I made a mistake at set up and can’t find a way to remove the recommended workouts. It might just be the language the app uses, it says delete which I’ve taken to mean from the app. Could it just be the programme? Lastly, it would be good if the commentary guided you through each repetition, especially for a newbie to the routines. I can see these niggles being sorted in the future so I’ll keep it installed and look forward to new updates. It shows promise..Version: 1.7.0

Peroneal tendonSurprised there’s nothing for peroneal tendon injuries.. currently suffering from tendonitis/tendonosis… was hoping the app could help.Version: 1.7.4

InflexibleI just started this through the Strava link and by mistake clicked on two recovery routines. I can’t amend this choice but have no need for them. I do have a real need for an upper body recovery routine but there are none. Relatively pointless when Strava is primarily for cyclists but the recovery app seems focused on runners.Version: 1.7.4

AWFUL!!Horrible from the start. I downloaded the app, created a profile and paid. Now every single time I open the app it asked me to recreate my profile. This when on for three days, I even tried uninstalling the app and trying on a different device. Nothing worked. I was not able to track my soreness as promised. The exercises are basic, at best. The estimated time to complete the routines is completely off. About the only thing it did do was upload a chart from Strava and send me text messages at midnight to remind me to recover. I would give this 0 stars if I could..Version: 1.2.6

Next to useless if you’re not a subscriberCan only use one recovery template.Version: 1.287.0

It’s Not FreeI’m really disappointed in the business practices of this app. They advertise that you’ll have access to the exercises needed to help with injuries at no cost. But once you get in, input all of your information, and have a plan created for you, you only have access to a couple videos and have to pay for everything else. To be clear, I have absolutely no problem in paying for something like this. My issue is it was not stated upfront. Please just be honest that it’s going to cost money (and how much) in your description. That way I can make an informed decision..Version: 1.5.10

Can’t loginCan’t login with Strava: Invalid client ID.Version: 1.7.2

No goodCan even log in after multiple attempts with my Strava credentials.Version: 1.7.3

Want it to workBut it doesn’t. Can’t start a routine. Have hard closed it. Switched off the iPhone. It is just stuck ?.Version: 1.7.0

Every Athlete?? Bold statementWould suggest just able bodied runners!.Version: 1.7.4

RubbishFive days and waiting. Screen freezes when trying to load on iPhone. Support cannot help so I’m left waiting for a fix. Why launch when it’s not working properly?.Version: 1.6.9

Not worth the Strava price increases $$$Would rather have a less expensive Strava subscription..Version: 1.287.1

It doesn't even startStrava connection error, try again later. Any chance to fix it, please..Version: 1.6.5

Strava subscription integration only transientNice app but seems like some teething problems. Used my strava subscription to sign up, but the app forgets this every time it’s closed. Soreness tracker a nice feature but interface not completely intuitive- e.g. i’ve accidentally removed a body part from the soreness list and now apparently no way to add it back. Other than that, I like the set workouts and the ability to design custom workouts and will probably be 5 stars once teething issues sorted..Version: 1.6.6

Poor recommendationsWhen I got this app, it would make logical recommendations based on the workout I just completed and it would show how far I ran. Something changed and it recommends the same 2 or 3 nonsense workouts regardless of what workout I did. For example it will recommend a warm up after a workout. Disappointed..Version: 1.285.0

Not working with Strava :(This app looks like the recommendations I was sending to Strava to have an image of the body where you can keep track of your bad spots over time. I really hope it works the way I’ve always imagined it, but when I click “continue with Strava” it just opens the App Store in an infinite loop :( Hopefully it’s just a minor bug that will be fixed soon so I can try this thing out! And of course I’ll change my rating once I can actually get in :).Version: 1.7.3

Great app, but the “soreness tracker” doesn't workThe app is great in providing multiple strength training plans, recovery options, and notifications to stretch after I run. The workouts take anywhere from 10-20 minutes. The free version is limited in videos, but the paid subscription is worth it! I use the app almost every day for recovery or strength training. The downfall of the app - soreness tracker. I cannot get my soreness tracker to work. I do the recovery workout, as there is no input for my soreness. I can't click on the chart to change the soreness level. I have tried deleting the app, signing out, and anything else I can think of to troubleshoot. Nothing works. I have emailed the company twice and still no response. I recommend this app, you will have to keep track of your soreness..Version: 1.3.3

Keeps crashingGood app but keeps crashing when doing custom workouts..Version: 1.330.0

Can’t sync Strava accountUnable to sync Strava account despite it being a Strava product.Version: 1.6.5

Doesn’t workSo I’ve loaded and unloaded this app about four times. I’ve tried to log in with my Strava account log in, I’ve tried “Continue with Strava” but I have not been able to get past the opening screen. Waste of time and very frustrating. Not sure why Strava have made so much about this when it just doesn’t work..Version: 1.6.6

Ignored my privacy settingsIn the set up I amended my privacy settings which the app then ignored when I went to check. Some parts didn’t work - I couldn’t scroll down the screens - and having subscribed via Strava, I then found out the app is currently for runners. As a cyclist this was the smallest point but the final straw. App deleted, and a bit disappointed with Strava for associating with an app that isn’t really market ready..Version: 1.6.9

Why only for runners?Looked ok, downloaded and just reviewed the exercises- recognise and look sensible. But then realised it only referred to running and I’m a cyclist so not sure if it’s for me will try it out this week..Version: 1.7.4

Cash grabbing appNeed to pay to delete a routine :)) what a joke.Version: 1.287.1

Won’t openWon’t open at all. Can’t get past the log in screen no matter how many times closed and reopened, reset my phone etc etc..Version: 1.7.2
