Monarch Resident Portal for Negative User Reviews

Bare minimum maintenanceI moved in July 2019 with a broken bedroom window, that I would be fixed before I moved in 2 weeks later. The window is still broken. The slider does not close completely and has a 1/4 inch crack that also gets stuck when closed. I have locked myself out on the balcony 5+ times and had to call for help. My bathroom ceiling has a leak. The drywall caved in. The drywall was replaced and is again turning black from the leak in the above apartment. The carpet has many waves and bumps and the entire apartment smelled of cigarette smoke for 6 months. I had the carpets professionally cleaned then continued cleaning using coffee beans, baking soda, and vinegar. I have put in these requests multiple times then find they are gone without being done..Version: 13.3.1

Trash Dog water trashThe app likes to play games. Because of this app or an employee controlling or in control of this app screwed up made my balance wrong. I paid the balance showed because you can only pay what it says is due. So come to find out a month almost 2 later. I had a rolling balance of $300 dollars that they said I only paid a portion of my balance when the app is clearly not set up for such events to occur. Sound like shenanigans to me!.Version: 14.6.0

The App Constantly Wants You to Rate ItLiterally, on every other screen there is a prompt to rate the app. Even if you click the prompt “do not display this again”, it continues to show up, every single time. It’s an apartment app. People use it for paying rent and placing maintenance work orders. It’s annoying that I can’t pay rent without getting asked to rate the app 3 different ways. Please fix the radio button so that it actually disables the prompts that request ratings when selected. I would change my rating to 5 stars if you could do that. :).Version: 14.6.0

Confusing/Untimely/InconvenientWas charged for late fees even tho I paid on time, simply because they wait til the 5th to take your money. By the time they did this I also had auto-payments scheduled. When I went to confirm the payment was made, they said I paid twice and was good for next month, (confused since I didnt even have that amount to take), then when the payment was corrected on their end they considered it late and charged me a late fee anyway. Stop AskingNo matter how many times you select the “remember me” option for quick sign in and you blast the first page with “newsletters” I don’t care about. Thankfully there is an option to select that says Don’t Show This Again. It’s a great feature, it would be nice if it actually worked though. The bulletin board on the app talking about new things hasn’t been updated since 2015. A convenience fee to pay with a card? Seriously? It’s 2022 and I’m using an app on my phone. Don’t worry, I’ll just put cash inside the charge port. How else would you pay digitally? Hopefully now that I’ve actually left a review like you have asked me multiple times a month you’ll stop bugging me about it..Version: 15.3.0

Decent appDecent app- could be better with a little bit of updates. for example, under “lease” option, Or even “my documents” a copy of a lease should be kept for the tenant under one of them, it is somewhat misleading to mark “lease” and then when clicked, it is a leasing request for issues, I like having that option so I can go there if needed, but I think that information should be accessible too. Under “my documents” it has a copy of ID and paystubs, I think it could include potentially at least the page where it shows rent, and the page you signed lease on. Other than that, I like the app and feel like it is easy to use, and think the discussion board is a neat idea..Version: 15.3.0

Ok app, but needs workIt’s a pretty neat way to pay rent and request maintenance, however there are certain things on the app that need work. When the payment options were offered, debit was one of them, but due to my property management, it’s not really an option. If it’s not an option I can use, then it need to be gone fully..Version: 15.3.0

AppI think the app is a good app but it doesn’t show us everything we our paying for . It doesn’t give the payment history and doesn’t give the run down on how much the water bill was and etc etc. I think that should be fixed accordingly ..Version: 15.3.0

MonarchThis is the second month in a row I have tried to add my bank account I’ve made numerous inquiries to administration to pay for an apartment through my bank account to avoid a convenience fee and I cannot verify the account. This site is so frustrating and there has been nothing but trouble since it changed over. I’ve now had to pay by credit card two months in a row and pay the convenience fee even though I have had the money to pay by bank account and it won’t let me. I’m very disappointed in this website.Version: 15.3.0

Faulty appHorrible! I have deleted an old account that was closed due to fraud SEVERAL times and yet it’s back as an option for payments on the app. I have also received a returned check fee even though I have removed this account as as option to pay from. The tenets should not have to pay for a faulty app error when they have done everything on their end to avoid this from taking place to begin with..Version: 15.3.0

NeutralI find the app helpful and it is easy to use overall, I think my issue is probably more work the management company than the app- like being able to make partial payments. But in general the app is useful because I don’t have to go through extra steps to logon to the website portal.Version: 15.3.0

Decent but flawedWhen you log in, the app gives you announcements. And even though I have had the “do not show me this again” setting enabled, it still shows me the same 2 announcements every single time I log in. Also the fact that you cannot re-open maintenance requests or comment on the ones you currently have open is a bit silly. If those two things were corrected the app would be much better..Version: 14.6.0

ClunkyMy biggest complaints are the purely cosmetic “do not show again” toggle on the “announcements” that immediately pop up when opening the app. They’re not even announcements, they’re plugs for reviewing the apartment complex and following the Monarch Facebook page, and they aren’t even functioning links. You have to close it out every single time and the button does nothing. I would be less annoyed if I weren’t given the fake option to never show again. My other complaint is with the bulletin board. Sometimes you’ll scroll through and there will be a huge gap in content so you’re just scrolling through a gray screen. Except it’s not really blank. You can sometimes see posts peeking from behind it, so it’s incredibly difficult to access some posts. Feels like really bad lazy loading. I’ve also commented before and had my comment published several times despite only doing it once. Overall there’s just a general sense of “I can’t trust what is being displayed to me as accurate” when using the app, which is a huge no-no. I don’t pay my rent using the app and even if that functionality really works I don’t feel confident enough in the app to use it..Version: 15.3.0

Good App!This app is convenient, providing easy access to maintenance requests and bill pay. I don’t bother with the bulletin announcements but I did notice that the notifications from the app about announcements are inconsistent. There is also an automatic reminder to “Leave us a review” as soon as I log in with the option to never see that reminder again directly underneath. I’ve selected that and it remains selected however I still get that announcement every time! Lol.. just a few little things could be better. Other than that, this is a good app..Version: 15.3.0

Nearly thereGreat app that does everything that I need to keep up with my apartment building’s management. Paying rent is easy, putting in work orders is even easier. Once it orients to landscape ad fits to a screen size other than mobile phone I will change to 5 Stars. I am very thankful to have such a simple method of rental management..Version: 13.3.1

It’s okIt asks the for reviews on the same things every single time even though you select “don’t show me again”. The same two announcements - follow us on Facebook and rate us on Google. No matter what you do it’s still the first thing you see. Other than that annoyance the app is fine..Version: 15.3.0

Could be betterThe app is nice. It works okay, the fact you can’t pay in part even a day early when living with a roommate is frustrating. Not seeing the breakdown of each bill on the app is annoying, overall it could be better..Version: 15.3.0

Payment glitchI tried to pay my rent on the app. Told me it had lost internet connection and transaction failed. Tried again. This time it went through. Checked my account and found BOTH had posted even though the app had told me otherwise. It’s already creating problems for other payments I’m making. Now I’m told there’s nothing I can do on the Monarch end even through both are scheduled to pay on the first, two days away. Sorry Monarch. This is a serious fail and I’ll be deleting this app..Version: 15.3.0

Very basicNice looking app, not very much functionality. Okay for paying rent and submitting maintenance requests. Does not have any proper tracking or feed back mechanism to communicate with tenants. Maintenance closes tickets once they have looked at the problem, even if it has not been started. The app works. Does what it is intended for. Not well thought out minimal functionality..Version: 15.3.0
