✓ App completely changed?Went to open up my crossword app and I literally thought I had somehow downloaded a new app. Not a fan of the new look or features. ✓ BewareThis app used to not have ads. If you didn’t pay for the app, you only got access to the daily crossword. I totally understand adding ads to your app, but making them pop up (full screen videos you have to watch for 5 seconds before closing) on the daily free crossword *literally every 20 seconds*? ✓ Fun App with Some IssuesOverall, I like the app, utilize it daily and did upgrade to the ad-free version but there are some issues: 1) If you utilize coins for “See Wrong” and you leave the puzzle to start another and then go back, the “See Wrong” disappears, so you may have spent your coins for naught. 2) It would be helpful if when you utilize coins for 4 Letters that those letters are highlighted in some way, confirming that they are correct. If there are certain answers I may not know, it is helpful to know which letters have been confirmed to attempt to finish the puzzle. 2) It would be great to have an option to select between across or down in terms of automatically moving to the next word, currently very cumbersome to try to toggle. 3) By paying for the ad-free version, I thought that there would be additional puzzles or puzzle packs added routinely but there is a finite amount excluding the daily puzzle. I will not be renewing my subscription once the annual period is up as I will have completed all (or substantially all) the puzzles by then. 4) I have also experienced where a puzzle is duplicated (all the same clues within a different puzzle in the same pack) and have had situations where my updated inputs had not saved if I left the app to go to something else. ✓ Too many ads and no offline accessSimilarly to what others have said the new amount of ads is extremely frustrating and too much, especially considering they pop up multiple times in the middle of puzzles now. Additionally with the new update I cannot access any puzzles offline. I can only scroll on the app when not connected to data/wifi without any way to play(even puzzles that are in progress are inaccessible). Before this update this app was my go to game app to use when commuting as it provided daily challenging, but mostly solvable puzzles that I could play whenever. I guess that is not possible for me now unfortunately as someone who does not have unlimited data. I’m disappointed after this new update and hoping these issues will be fixed in the future. At the moment I can’t recommend(the free version) and will have to start looking for another crossword app..JriedlVersion: 2.0.9

✓ Too Many Ad InterruptionsAt first, I enjoyed solving puzzles and only had to see an advert when I finished or started a new puzzle. Now, I am interrupted after completing 3-4 words with ads and requests to upgrade to paid version. I keep saying ‘no’ to the requests and I keep getting bombarded with them every few minutes. ✓ MehIt was “alright” before. Some of the clues weren’t too clear, and I’d occasionally get a clue where the answer made no sense (even crossword sites or dictionaries wouldn’t consider it a word) But the recent update is just garbage. All my progress is gone, I have a “streak” now but no completed puzzles, and you have to spend coins to unlock themes. I liked this app before because it was just crosswords with no gimmicks. ✓ Not goodI never write reviews but this one deserves a comment. I’ll cut to the chase. As you advance you’ll find misspellings - letters omitted which complicates solving the puzzle. Abbreviations for words inconsistent with the clues. Constant clues referencing people and historical events from the 1930’s to 1950’s. No introduction page or reference to the creator, only 2 tabs at the bottom of the screen to “Continue” or “Upgrade”. The clues are confusing even for crossword puzzle pros. Oftentimes I’ve had to enter letters by trying all of the letters in the alphabet just to solve the puzzle. I’m done. It’s a hot mess..Mustard12Version: 1.1.2.1
