✓ Ok here it goes.The game is fun and shooting planes down is a good time. I’ve shot 19 down in one match so it’s pretty intense sometimes. That being said, sometimes you wonder if the match is just AI players and other times you know it is. I just got done with a match that I overheated my gun 3 times and reloaded once maybe twice on a guy who ended up flying into the no fly zone. My guess is he was over a mile and a half into it while I myself was made to turn around. His screen name was patmanzzz. Kinda ticks a feller off for wasting that much time. But some improvements have made the game a little frustrating as it takes forever to upgrade a one to the point where you enjoy using it. Good game though..Version: 1.1.2
✓ Was greatThis game was great until you changed how the buy planes, upgraded weapons. Before you could use gold and silver but now it’s parts and blueprints. I was saving for a plane I wanted but then the way you purchased the plane changed to blueprints and I can’t even choose which plane the blueprints go on. I will end up with a plane I don’t want. Sadly, despite the numerous reviews expressing the same deficiencies, Rortos chooses to repeatedly respond with a comment that sounds like all players need is a little counseling and they will realize the beauty of the game. Yes, Rortos, it IS a beautiful game. But just as the gingerbread house was beautiful in HANZEL & GRETEL, the problem lies in the management of the place and the final objective. You do Not have to give everything away, but making people pay THREE TIMES for the same plane severely limits your customer base. When AOL was thriving , Air Warriors had Five (5) theaters running simultaneously, each with a capacity of 525 players. And there were MANY TIMES I had to wait to get in one of them to play! You could play for free in the learning area, and many upgrades were available. When you paid for a new plane you got the whole plane! No parts, then blueprints, etc . and no waiting days to get all the pieces needed. When a customer wants to buy you sell him the item right then! Otherwise the buying impulse dissipates . That is sales and marketing 101(b). ✓ Terrible Customer serviceI loved the game. Played it all the time. One day I open the app and all my info is gone and it created a new account for me. I contacted customer service 2.5 months ago and they don’t respond for up to a couple days and none of them really care to find my old account. Wouldn’t be a big deal if I hadn’t spent hundreds of dollars over a year in the game (which is not typical for me, I just really like the game). After dealing with customer service for 2.5 months they finally just told me to contact Apple for a refund because they aren’t willing to dig in and find my account or even credit my new account with the $500 in purchases I had made. I sent them my receipts of purchases which have dates and transaction numbers tied to them. Absolutely terrible customer service..Version: 1.1.2
✓ No Longer Good ValueI had previously rated this game 5 stars, expressing it was one of the best flight games. Recent upgrades has changed my mind completely, it is now almost impossible to upgrade your aircraft, the points are very low value, as soon as you make progress the upgrades are -used by these impossible to get purple coins. If you pay for the upgrades you will be very unhappy. As the upgrades are poor, and don’t represent good value. Very disappointing, it has gone from 5 star to 1 star, based on a software update. ✓ WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!My phone has been broken for a couple of months and when I got it fixed I thought I would play this game as I used to love it before my phone broke, but when I log on I remembered I had a lot of gold so I try to buy a plane but apparently you need blue prints now? So I tried to upgrade my planes but you have to use tokens to level it up. I think there should be an option to use either gold, silver, tokens or blue prints to make it easier to not only upgrade and buy new planes but to keep people playing the game..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Great gameThis is a fun game that is set up for eben those with no flight experience to handle. If possible it would be nice to have rudder control and missions that include landing and take off. Of course if that were to happen don’t forget adding flaps gear retraction. You all did a fair job with the flt physics. It would be nice to be able to see and sight in on the actual aircraft instead of the name and deflection ring. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your great game. ✓ MehThis game is okay. When I first downloaded it it looked promising. You could save up and buy any aircraft but now they’re all layered in tiers that you have to buy from in order to progress. I was hoping to buy the British aircraft but now I have to buy a cross-section of aircraft across all nations and even then it’s all dependant on what crates you unlock to obtain parts and blueprints. ✓ Not all change is good!I’ve been playing this game since May 2023 and it was so fun, even addictive. Objectives were fun, obtainable, and still to this day the graphics and gameplay is great! BUT… The objectives are 3/4 of the time impossible to achieve, spending a lot of real money is the only way to make real progress! I don’t find dropping a few bucks a week but when it takes over $100 a week to play and actually make progress or tasks are 100% impossible to meet, it becomes work, not a past-time to enjoy! Since early September 2023 the developers are losing their minds and killing this game. ✓ Do not downloadThis game started out very well balanced. I really enjoyed playing for hours on end in fair games where I either won or lost and gained silver points accordingly and gold occasionally. However, the developers have clearly made it almost impossible to win any points and have an extremely unbalanced point and gameplay system. You will get to a point where it is impossible to win. Despite the opposing players appearing to have normal player names, they are all actually AI bots that become overpowered every other game to make sure you lose. These bots will destroy you in an instant, the jiggle around to make it impossible to lock onto to them but they’ll lock onto you with no problem. This game had a lot of potential but heed the warning from other players here, you’ll be wasting your time downloading this game!.Version: 1.0.8

Even if you have a maxed out high tier plane it still takes you longer to shoot down an enemy, will never win head to head, play against superior tiers and planes not available to you. ✓ Ok game just have deep pocketsGraphics are good. Flight response ok. But upgrades are costly. Then when you rank to the next level, you have to pay for the planes you unlock. What’s the point of unlocking if you have to pay anyway? Struggled with deleting this game because I did like it, but it’s GONE! After this review posted I was impressed that the developer reached out to me about this review. They were looking for feedback and a reconsideration. They even provided a link to contact them. I wanted to do that before considering a rewrite . However, to my dismay, the link provided did not work. So I must stand by my initial commentary. This was a fun game until I could no longer compete in battle without BUYING the unlocked upgrades that I earned. Rewards for winning were sparse and valued so low that you could easily outperform the reward finding yourself out gunned in battle by those who probably purchased their upgrades in frustration like I almost did. ✓ Poor game supportWhat is potentially a very good game is let down by poor server connection’s constantly dropping out mid game, this has been confirmed by multiple players on the games Facebook page. There does not seem to be much support from the developers apart from the normal standard ones but avoiding accepting they have an issue with inadequate infrastructure to support a large player base. Expensive trying to upgrade any modules within the game and with the developers recently updating the game scoring mechanism, it is harder and longer to gain the required experience points to get the rewards which is obviously aimed at trying to get players to go the gold route and parting with their hard earned cash. I use to use the VIP option but decided my cash is not being spent on this game until the above issues are rectified..Version: 1.0.6

✓ Updates are made to get more money, less player enjoymentI have played this game everyday through many updates, dating back years. In the beginning, the game rewarded one’s play with achievements that we could use to buy and update what parts and planes we wanted. That was all taken away. They have replaced with giving random parts that are forced and also already owned. Rewards were decreased as well; all in efforts to sell and force one to buy resources for what one already owns. While making money is the point and expected, the company took away the games fun. Worse, I had 3 new charges of upgrades that I had not authorized. I wrote the company and the automated reply was they could not credit back so contact someone else and they apologized for the charges. Very bottom line; The company’s effort to make more money has destroyed the games incentive to play and enjoy playing the game. What a shame!.Version: 1.1.5
✓ Decent, needs more planesThis is a decent game that does a good job balancing realistic gameplay with playability. Manny flight simulation usually favors one over the other. It’s either simple flight simulation for easy play or more complex simulation and hard to play. But still needs more planes, especially classic planes like the spitfire and wild cats. A BIG PROBLEM, is that of the reduced in-game rewards now being distributed as compared to before. They’ve already severely reduced or eliminated a great deal of the previous rewards that was available if you’re willing to stay with the game. ✓ Good Game, Non-Existent UpgradesI understand that this game is still moderately underdeveloped and still being modified regularly, however the time that it takes for the parts ‘crates’ to be opened is RIDICULOUS. I’ve only had the game about a week and within the first couple days I was unlocking ‘blueprints’ and parts ‘crates’ at a rapid rate. Then, it came to a dead stop once I reached about 1000 trophies. Causing a significant decrease in my winning percentage because the people I am now being lobbied and playing against have way better planes (assuming they’ve spent money). ✓ UpdateIt’s a really good game honestly but just some fixes that’d make it better. For starters a ton of the prices of planes is way expensive in gold. By the time you get the plane it’s already a plane that’s not good enough compared to people buying gold. I don’t like spending money on games but this has kinda irritated me and I don’t play often because of it. Another thing is using flaps and landing gear. It’d be kinda nice to have more control of the plane and different game modes. ✓ Ruined the airplane upgrade systemIt used to be that you only needed silver coins to upgrade your planes, but now you have to get “parts” and silver coins to do so. This should be fine as long as you can buy the parts for a specific plane, but no, you buy crates that will have a random amount of parts for ANY plane, even if you are not interested in some of the planes you receive parts for. Furthermore, I keep receiving parts for planes that are at the max level already, so basically those are useless. ✓ Progress in Game is FlawedOverall the game is fun to play. However, the progress for reaching higher tiered aircraft is flawed. In the game you have to obtain blueprints along with plane parts to move up into better aircraft. Gaining blueprints is a slow process and on top of that, when you receive them they keep giving you tier 1 when you are trying to reach tier 4 as an example. I have a bi-plane with 700 blue prints. I have been trying to get to the next tier for weeks now. Beware that you will waste your time if you think you can reach any meaningful planes in this game..Version: 1.1.5
✓ Fun but not worth itThe game is fun. No question. But the developers have decided to try to squeeze us and nickel and dime us for every part or blueprint. Also, don’t waste your time buying crates for parts. You’ll blow through all gold just to get parts on old planes that are either already fully upgraded or ones you’ll never use. The parts rarely ever come out for planes you want. Just enjoy the basic game and don’t invest a dime. Would get 5 stars if there was some way to get refunded for all the gold I spent and got garbage parts for planes that aren’t in my hangar. Maybe give us the option of what planes to get parts for? It now takes forever to get any plane in fit shape to do battle. My success rate has gone from 70+% down to less than 40% in a couple of weeks, and winning matches is the only way to obtain crates that contain all the criteria you need to upgrade. Oh, unless you spend a ton of real money in the hope of getting the parts you need. Team mate selection has also become completely random. I’ve regularly played matches where I’ve been the only player on my team who’s shot anything down and am usually battling against teams with planes one or two tiers higher than anything I’ve got..Version: 1.0.9

✓ Constantly moving the goalposts.Actual gameplay isn’t too bad, but if you really get into it, they will constantly alter the end goal. They have repeatedly changed the systems and processes in place for obtaining new items. Scoring and gameplay rewards are a joke. There are now 5 different forms of “currency” used and you will never have enough of what you need. You collect blueprints to obtain a plane, plane parts to enable upgrades, but after to you have enough parts you still need to buy the parts with silver. Then there are tokens for the higher level upgrades, but those also require the corresponding parts. It’s all a scheme to always leave you short. Finally, there’s gold used to open crates or obtain other types of items. But today, they raised the prices on crates x5. So the gold I’ve collected and bought (with real money) just lost 80% of its purchasing power. That’s theft. Before spending $ on game gold, I weigh “what does this get me in the game?… what value do I place on it?…” When I decided to drop real money, I didn’t anticipate my $20 to now acquire the same amount of things as $4 would previously..Version: 1.1.1

✓ Need some fixing!Been playing this game for a while now and it started off absolutely amazing! I enjoyed playing it and the rewards/chests for winning were plentiful. Now, not so much! The rewards/chests have been reduced to almost worthless levels, it’s ridiculous! 99% of the parts I get aren’t even for any of the planes I’m using, which makes trying to upgrade any of my planes take forever! the silver rewards are pretty bad as well. The worst part has become the battles, they have just become stupid! The bot planes are ridiculous! They’re abilities must be cranked up to maximum! When I am shooting at one of them it takes a minimum of three+ reloads before anything happens, and then they will just turn on a dime and I can’t even think about chasing them because my plane is like a tugboat! and then one just magically appears behind, who wasn’t there two seconds before that when I looked at the radar, and shoots me down with what seems like two freaking bullets! Sorry that’s just stupid! I’ve watched control points on the radar map change from blue to red with no enemy planes even remotely close to it! Really! ✓ Could be so much moreI’ve been playing this for almost 9 months. Roughly an hour most days. I love the game play, even though I’m mostly playing against bots. I get it will take awhile to get enough players onboard. But the in-game economy has been tinkered with SO much the game is now at a standstill. If you don’t want to pay to advance, you might as well just enjoy where you’re at, because all the game time and all the skill in the world won’t get you anywhere. I know they’ve got to make money, but you’ve also got to build enough players to make it a live game. You won’t do that with the jacked up game economy. Just go back to what it was two months ago and it will be fine. Even with the stupid tokens and parts we can’t use, and blueprints (all of which which we hate). ✓ If you see this you prob sorted my Most Critical (respect)So, let me tell you what this game is like. Initially, it’s pretty fun. You play in a 3D space with joystick control (fairly simple) and auto lock on guns. You start with a biplane (Fury MK2) and it has upgradable components such as guns, armor, etc. After that you get access to another biplane. It’s a bit better, upgradable etc. After the second plane though, the games progress takes a nose dive. Bit of context: there are 2 types of currencies…all that’s important is that there’s a standard and premium currency. Each battle you earn around 500-1k of the standard currency. But after the second plane, the next one either costs premium currency or around 250,000k of standard, which is a ridiculous number of battles. So either you pay your way to a new plane (which everyone seems to have) or grind for h o u r s (more like days) to get to the second stage of the game (out of like 10 stages). Do with that what you will, but personally, it’s too much grinding for a mediocre game, so I deleted it. TL:DR: Gameplay is mid, progress is hella grindy (like months of constant play grindy) after stage 2/10.Version: 1.0.5

Well now, after a few days of playing and slow progress, I am put up against all superior planes 6 battles in a row. I guess the intent is to make you want to buy those planes too in order to win? Makes me not want to play bc it’s so far away in levels & slow progress to reach the levels. The game took a lot from war wings, I can definitely see the resemblance. ✓ Was The Best WW2 Aircraft Game EverOh dear! I spoke too soon 😫 After rating this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and one of the most enjoyable air combat games out there, I’m now grounding my pilots for the foreseeable future. Somehow they’ve gone an over complicated the rules without considering how this will impact game play. They’ve come up with a bizarre frequency for events such that it’s neigh on impossible to join them before they are over. This game has such amazing graphics and aircraft rendering but they have killed game play with irrational updates. I’m so tired of seeing my pilots progress up the ranking only to have the rug pulled from beneath them and have to start all over again. It’s demotivating to see players with more points than are even available when in previous releases I’ve achieved merited top 10 results. It’s odd how yesterday the strength of my aircraft seemed sound and today a couple of strikes from a fellow player sends my pilot to the deck in a ball of flames. ✓ Cheap Warwings knockoffIf you ever played warwings then you will understand what I mean this is just a cheap clone but nowhere near as good you get no boost which is really lacking to evade enemy, you can’t do rolls or vert loops, the guns over heat in 2seconds and then take ages to cool down, turning circles are massive, don’t even try to do a vert loop you end up in the dirt and it’s an insta kill, the planes themselves require a lot of parts to make even practical, the other games require a bomber and yet only 1 in the early game is available and if that dies you fly around till you lose and finally the only time you will get a spitfire is at the very end of the unlocked plane tree which goes on forever so unless you pump alot of money into this or are willing to play for a few years don’t expect an iconic plane like the spitfire.Version: 1.1.4

I will say that it is the best airplane game for the phone but it will need a few minor changes to improve the quality of the game! Like once you have a plane or have enough parts for that plane you should be allowed to sell the parts or trade the parts for parts to a plane that you actually need! ✓ Wings for nothingAgain I’m playing the game for awhile to get 100 plane parts on trophy points. And I get them for a plane back in the first tier1 which is maxed out and I’m in tier 1V. ✓ Needs an economics updateIn game currency is way unbalanced. Updates have made currency even more scarce and rewards much more time consuming to unlock. Id be happy even if we could just watch unlimited ads to skip wait times but those are limited per day. And nobody wants to watch ads to begin with. The current Veterans Day event has a mission that requires 30 completed battles. The average battle time is about 7 mins for me. It’s just crazy to think we are being asked to play for 210 hours just to get a few thousand gold. It’s ridiculously unbalanced and unfair to the players who do support this game. I hope the developers take this in mind and create a better in game economy with higher rewards for silver and gold, and requiring less play time to unlock and obtain awards. ✓ Was a great gameI’ve been playing this for ages now and it’s been superb. Easy to play with no investment but a few carefully chosen payments can make a big difference. Good to help out the developers a little too. However, and it’s a big however, the recent upgrade has over night made it virtually impossible to ever upgrade a plane again. They’ve turned the game into a cash-cow. I’ll give it a while longer but if I’m unable to stay competitive it will be deleted. Such a shame..Version: 1.0.8
✓ What have you done!I’ve spent weeks & weeks saving cash to buy the best planes and you’ve ruined in in one upgrade! What an absolute load of rubbish this now is! Don’t even bother downloading it. UPDATE: I thought I’d give the new version a few days of gameplay before finalising my opinion, and can confirm this has turned out to be a ridiculous cash cow for the developers. I was near the top of the board before, now I get annihilated in every game and the only way of improving is to spend hundreds of £s. ✓ Pay to winThis is your classic pay to win app. The action is ok-ish, but to modify any plane to the 3rd (max) tier you have to collect or purchase a lot of silver and gold and tokens and other things. The winnings per match are so meager that you have to constantly play just to build up any bank, or you can purchase the resources needed. They are expensive. Once the 2 free planes you get make it to Tier 3, thats when the pay to win kicks in. You either pay them some money to unlock better planes, or this happens. After about a week of daily play, and not being able to shoot down a single plane. Basically getting shot down in the first 15 seconds by stronger amd faster planes, the game is not a fun experience any longer. Deleted..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Needs serious workA decent game that has far more potential than anything else. The I-15 WWI biplane is the only plane that flies remotely similar to real life. All of the WW2 planes are forced to turn so slow that they are incredibly irritating to fly. The trade off is supposed to be increased speed. But unfortunately, the implementation is so poor it doesn’t work. The only benefit is essentially higher DPS. This is due to the fact that climbing drains your speed so quickly that you can’t take advantage of the higher speed. Bombers are very armored and take a long time to kill. Which wouldn’t be an issue, except for the fact that they are also very strong. I find myself dying more to them than enemy fighters. The range of their guns coupled with the inability to climb efficiently whatsoever means they will often times try to chase you down. Until this gets addressed, the game is pretty boring. You have basically fighters and armored fighters with bombs. This obviously makes not a whole lot of sense. I have no issue with their health, but they should be more reliant on their friendly fighters to escort them. The lock on mechanic means if you know what you’re doing you’ll routinely get 7-10 kills a match. There is no way to evade shots. You simply have to avoid getting an enemy on your six. All in all, the game is fun for a few hours. But then you get pretty frustrated with the many different flaws. 5.5/10.Version: 1.0.2
✓ Make it evenStart by only allowing your hanger tier be the highest tier available to fight against. Meaning matches will be even by having only tier 2 go against other tier 2’s instead of tier 1 and facing tier 3’s. If you have a tier 3 in your hanger it is tier 3 not a tier 2 slaughter fest and if you have a tier 2 in with tier 1 your vs matches are tier 2 not slaughter the tier 1’s. This will make matches even and make people want to play your game more and have to learn how to operate their aircraft’s to better suit the players and the pay to win players. Otherwise all you are creating is a game that will die fast and make very little money for you and your developers and thus making it so your rating drops more and other games with better match up options take you out. More like mech arena not war robots. More Homeworld instead of Eve. Playing gives better rewards as you are doing. Playing better grants better rewards to buy. Buying your way and overpowering your opponent with lower hanger tiers does nothing but give bullies better abilities without having morales..Version: 1.0.9
