✓ Looks great, but functionality isn’t as it should beAwesome app, the Spotify widget needs to take some notes from the design. My main gripe is the widget doesn’t update song by song without clicking into it.. so unless you tap on the widget to open the app to refresh, your Home Screen still displays the artwork from a few songs prior.. a bit pointless really!.Version: 1.6.2
✓ Do not bother with premium versionI purchased the in-app add-on for the premium version to be able to use Spotify and needless to say this app is just a waste of time. When using the widget, it will work as long as you don’t lock your screen. But once you lock your screen if you try to use the widget again it will freeze, reopen the WidgetPod app, redirect to Spotify, and then process your original input on the widget (pause/forward/go back). NOT GOOD DO NOT BUY THE IN APP PURCHASE FOR PREMIUM!!!.Version: 1.1.1

✓ Extremely disappointedHonestly such a waste, even for 2.99. Very buggy and doesn’t look nice at all. The app opens and closes after every click, the ‘now playing’ isn’t accurate as you change songs but it still shows the previous songs info. ✓ Unsatisfied with animation quality.I would kindly like to ask for a refund for my purchase of pro. I expected the skip and reverse track feature to be a less glitchy experience and having had to pay for it, I do not believe it is worth the money. ✓ So closeUI and general design is great. Nice and minimal. However, after paying for premium, I noticed that every time I change a song or pause it via the widget, the entire widget glitches strangely for a second or two. If this was fixed, I would definitely give this 5 stars..Version: 1.3.2
✓ Battery HoggerAwesome app, except sometimes it chews up a lot of battery when running in the background. There are times this app is constantly running in the background even when there is no music playing and drains the battery quickly. I really do love this app but had to uninstall it. ✓ Don’t waste your time.I understand Apple’s limited widget flexibility and the inherent limitations, but this advertises way more than it delivers, and just why it exists, is befuddling. It’s incredibly clunky and difficult to set up. It needs to be manually refreshed just to show the current playing track on my Home Screen. Honestly I spent about an hour going back and forth trying to figure out how to have a simple playback control on a small-sized widget, while showing what is currently playing. Simple right? Nope. This ‘pro’ version advertises playback controls. It’s $2.99 I wish I could have back..Version: 1.6.1
✓ Clunky and awkwardDownloaded this hoping to avoid some of the issues of apple’s poor widget system but this only makes things worse. Every action directs you back through the app before taking you to the shortcut destination which is very jarring, for music the playback buttons cause the whole widget to jump, absolutely pointless purchase do not buy.Version: 1.2
✓ Glitchy with SpotifyWeird flashing/expansion then contraction of medium size widget when press play or pause which is off putting. Also when forward to next song using widget starts playing even if previous song was paused, needs to remember pause settings. Be good to fix these two glitches....Version: 1.1.2

✓ Impressive App - Disappointing QualityI never write reviews (this is literally my first) - I found out about this app through TikTok and love the vinyl feature/rotating display. I am disappointed that the song title doesn’t automatically update after each song - I have to click to refresh, which is annoying especially having to pay for the feature. ✓ Spotify support is terribleEdit: if it’s Apple/iOS restrictions that make the app and widget full of bugs and impossible to use, then you shouldn’t take people’s money for app that you know doesn’t work. But syncing seems to be broken as far as I experienced meaning the album shown in the widget doesn't sync with the music actually being played most of the time... ✓ A few minor setbacksHi ! first off, the app is great. i've been looking for an app that works like this for a while. but that doesn't mean it doesn't have issues. for one, i js find it slightly annoying that the single feature that most people want; the vinyl is locked behind a paywall. while having pro features is okay, this is kinda useless as most people using the app are looking for the vinyl feature, only to find its behind a paywall. and also it would be fine if I could customize it at all, but the fact that that's also only for subscription users is irritating to say the least. but thats kinda it. i would recommend to make more free features as paying for a widget is kinda stupid imo. bye !!.Version: 1.7.5

✓ Lots of potential, but doesn’t workDownloaded this app as I think the concept is great and visually it looks appealing with a good range of customisation, BUT… Unfortunately there are a range of small and significant gestures that don’t work - the main one being no matter what I did, I couldn’t get the widget to update to display what I was actually playing at any given moment. I’m no expert, and so I fully accept that there may have been an element of user error - however I’m also not an idiot so if I can’t get a paid app functioning relatively easily then it is as much an issue with the app as it is with the user. Other minor irritations (aside from the fact I couldn’t find out it didn’t work without the in-app purchase, since the ‘try before you buy’ lets you play with the customisation but not actually display the widget) are that you have the option to change the action when you tap the widget, however whatever you set it to it still seems to just open the app. I’ve given two stars as, if it works, the idea is great - but for now I’m afraid I wouldn’t recommend..Version: 1.6.1
✓ Cool idea but it’s brokenI like this widget and I’d really like to use it but it’s completely broken. I’m on iOS16 and the widget just doesn’t update when the next song plays. If you click on the widget to open the player/refresh the widget it’ll show the correct song but unless you do that it doesn’t update. Would not recommend buying this widget..Version: 1.6.1
