✓ Love/Hate RelationshipIt’s all about a fair roll…right? When I’m just playing the AI I expect it to cheat. And it does. A lot (Hard). But when I’m playing someone in, say, Turkey, I expect fair rolls. Doesn’t happen with the frequency it should. How? Example? Just played a game I was winning when the opponent got three doubles in a row. Twice in this game, the opponent got two doubles in a row. In the meantime, I’m getting 1/2 or 2/3…over and over again. And then there are the number of times in other games I’ve played where the opponent gets more successful rolls to put me on the bar than is logical. So I delete the app, then reload it and try again (Einstein’s theory of doing the same thing over again expecting different results). Right now, I just redownloaded it though I know I’m going to be frustrated again.Version: 1.1.24
✓ Undo the updateThis was such a fun game, a classic to play with people across the world. I played more than 3k games. Now you update to a clownish game that appears targeted at juveniles with the layout, smaller board and larger ad on bottom of screen. You ruined it! THANKYOU.Version: 2.0

✓ Be ready to sacrificeThe only strategy the opponent in single player has is to knock off my players, regardless of how many points it leaves vulnerable for itself. This strategy results in nothing but repetitive trips to the center bar by both players. I’ve yet to find a backgammon app that replicates a game with an experienced human..Version: 1.1.24

✓ No random diceYou can virtually see how the game is programmed. You can predict that your stones get kicked out when playing against computer. When you try to trick computer by playing not logical moves to avoid this, you get say: 4 times the same combination until computer can kick your stones out. Random is a joke..Version: 2.4.4

✓ Hard setting = favored dice rollsI am a very good backgammon player and I’ve found playing in the single vs. computer mode at the “hard” setting overwhelmingly favors the computer’s dice rolls. There is no way the rolls are random because the computer is almost always getting perfect, lucky rolls. Further, the strategy programmed for the computer’s play is to bump the opponent, no matter where it’s at on the board. Talk to any relatively knowledgeable backgammon player and they will tell you it’s not a good idea to open up stones that have progressed around the board unless it’s the only play available. I’ve deleted the game..Version: 1.1.24

That move should’ve been allowed. They should’ve been forced to move position 8 to 7 (knocking my piece onto the bar) and then from position 7 to 1 which would have exposed my opponent’s piece on the 1 spot when I came off the bar..Version: 1.1.24

✓ Good game, terrible AIFor some reason the opponent can consistently hit me, but i can’t get the dice to hit back. I often get double 6’s, but it’s always when I am trying to get back on the board, only unavailable spot is a 6. I can get that 6 like clock work. They need to give both sides equal dice, and preset every roll before we start to play the game! Often I can call the numbers the fake player against me will roll before he rolls!!!!! Stop adjusting the dice to benefit the fake online player. This has the potential to be one of the best back gammon games out there. Just fix there AI. ✓ Ridiculous cheating!!! - single-player!If you are looking for an enjoyable backgammon game to play against the app, this is not it!! I thought I had found one when I first started playing this but it didn’t take long to realise the game does not like to lose. It throws doubles for itself just exactly when it needs them and if you are on the bar and need to get back in play, forget it. It will not give you the necessary dice values until it has successfully populated its home board. Ironically, when it has to get counters back in play, it miraculously is able to throw the correct dice values!! Unbelievable. On more than one occasion, due to the fact I did not trust it any longer, I carefully counted the dice values it would require before exposing one of my counters and suddenly the app displayed its inability to count (it needed a five to land on my counter, threw a six and still landed on me and put me on the bar!!!). The coders of this game really do not understand the meaning of ‘random’. I’m a good player but this app is a ridiculous cheat. I’m leaving this comment just before I delete the app..Version: 1.1.24

Why do I get 40 seconds to make a move but my opponent gets up to 50 seconds. How is that fair? This morning I won the game but the app gave my opponent the victory and the points. ✓ Dice rolls that just don’t happen in the real game.I signed up and played this game that I thought was an honest game. This game you have options to bet 0 coins, 5, 20 and 50. After playing for awhile I informed the owner that double rolls just don’t happen in the real world. Example: One opponent I played against rolled 5 double 6's. They told me that could honestly happen. I’ve played backgammon for over 50 years and such a thing just doesn’t happen. I played against an opponent who rolled in consecutive order double 6's then 5's then 4's. One night recently I decided to play games where I bet 50 coins for 13 STRAIGHT GAMES. I didn’t win one game because of terrible rolls and opponents constantly rolling doubles. So I stopped playing that night and thought I’d try again the next night. So the next night I played 8 games betting 50 coins for each. Of the 8 games I played I only won 2 games and the only reason I won those is because those opponents timed out which automatically gave me 50 coins each for those 2 games. ✓ Nothing to learn hereIf you came to this app to learn strategy, move on. The strategy seems to revolve around controlling the dice. In easy mode, you get favored rolls. In hard mode, the opponent gets favored rolls. In medium mode, maybe the rolls are fair, but the opponent’s strategy is poor. ✓ Just like the restThis is the ABSOLUTE WORST backgammon game in terms of the AI cheating. It's unbelievable how it gets the exact roll it needs to knock out your open chip, the exact roll it needs to get its chip out, or the exact roll to double up its own chip. ✓ Ok but lots of flawsFun enough. I only play online opponents so no comments on AI play. Many flaws include 1. Anyone can can resign at any time to avoid gammon even if gammon is assured 2. Anyone can just disconnect from the server and both sides will see their opponent time out and both players win. 3. doubling doesn’t apply to the coins you bet to start. so if you increase the starting bet, the doubling strategy math is silly and you should accept any double if you have even the slightest chance of winning. 4. It can be buggy. Every so often, usually when I am way ahead and starting to bear off checkers while opponent has checkers on the bar, the game does weird things like magically show me as having negative checkers on the bar and opponent times out. So fun enough to play but not much like competitive backgammon..Version: 1.1.3

The last one seemed to lose all the players and there was no-one to play against for quite a while. ✓ Too annoyingThis has the potential to be a great app. However, at the moment it is too flawed to be enjoyable. My counters make random moves without me touching them, the opponents moves are not in accordance to the dice. Timed out opponents within a few seconds of being selected. The doubling dice does not double the bet and I suspect this is a common problem as so many times the double shouldn’t be accepted but as there is nothing to lose…..
