Worst app update ever!!!!! Stay away if you can.So sometimes people get jobs and think they have to come up with new and “better ways of doing something. This is exactly what happened. The old app worked. It just worked no issues easy to read. Perfect. The new app is detestable. It constantly freezes, continued login in issues, and it’s color choices were done by a three year old. Why? Why? Why? Why did they”fix” something that wasn’t broken?.Version: 1.1

De-enhanced bankingThe previous version of the app was a pleasure to use. Everything was fast, laid out really nice, easy to read, quickly find what you was looking for. This version is awful. It's just the mobile web page in an app it would be the exact same as going to safari and adding the web page to the Home Screen. It's incredibly slow, tedious to use, there are now advertisements right on the main screen. It's begrudgingly getting 2 stars because everything is in this here needed for banking it's just a real shame going from the previous version to this..Version: 1.1

Consistent problemsIt’s always something with this app: For weeks, my (and my wife’s) usernames/passwords didn’t work. Then they just…started working again. I have 2 automatic transfers setup on payday from my general checking to 2 other checking accounts for mortgage and investments. They failed today without any explanations. Just an number to call. I don’t have the time to spend on the phone to try and figure it out. The automatic transfer is supposed to be convenient…not land me on the phone for half an hour. Every time I set up my bank account for a service (Venmo, etc) it’s never easy. It takes multiple tries. These are just 3 issues among several others. The app asked me to rate it…just being truthful..Version: 1.1

A Big HeadacheIt’s never been so difficult to spend my own money until I decided to join Northwest Bank. EVERYTHING is an issue. Zelle, mobile deposit, and on and on. I am very familiar with most of the popular bank because of my business. (Bank of America, M&T, Key Bank, etc.) I’m not sure why Northwest has to make everything so complicated, especially for newcomers. I’m sure I will not remain with this bank very long..Version: 1.1

Terrible InterfaceIt needs to be said: this new layout is really bad. The text is huge, but since it’s all light grays, it’s paradoxically much harder to read. The account balance beneath each and every debit/credit line is visually cluttered and actually makes reviewing my expenses harder. And the main account page is dominated by a third party credit score ad, with my account info crammed at the top. I hate it. Go back to the old format please. This new app was an unpleasant and wholly unnecessary experience..Version: 1.1

Mobile banking so bad may leave bankMobile banking was terrible before and now the new app makes it so much worse. it’s close to impossible to take a picture of your check without it getting rejected, the app is absolutely terrible. It’s disappointing because I may leave the bank over it.I need the convenience of mobile banking and this app definitely does not provide it. This app is horribleCompared to the last app that you used this upgrade is horrible. I can’t understand why you took something that worked perfectly well with colors with math with pending balance and then screwed it up….! Go back to the way it was, it made more sense and was easier to use…. The deposits don’t even have plus marks in front of them are used to be a different color. You’re doing math upside down now. Was excellent but big update still has many bugs!This was a great app which worked flawlessly. Since the big update a few months ago, things look prettier but just don’t function well. Every time you use a tab at the bottom (say you go from bill pay to deposit) the app kicks you out and you have to sign back in again. Also the tap to take a picture of the back of your check requires multiple taps and sometimes going out of that screen and coming back in. (Front of check works fine!) Also this is a banking app where you enter numbers in regularly. Why in heaven’s name don’t the places where you have to enter amounts trigger a numbers screen or pad instead of the regular keyboard with tiny little number buttons?!? I have waited patiently for these things to be fixed but it has been months now! Get it together, guys!.Version: 1.1

Worst app everAt first this app seemed like it was finally out of the stone age for a bank, but it needs to go back because they cannot handle the future, this is the worst app ever I am on day 4 and my balance has not updated, I called customer service they gave me the generic it will be fixed soon answer but I use my banking app to keep track of my finances this app is a joke you might as well use and atm vs trying to find your balance on this app..Version: 1.1

Looks like click baitNew app looks like a bad website for a free credit score with links and prompts trying to get you to “click more”. It does now feel like a safe, secure place to view personal financial information. Bank buildings of the past were built from stone to make people feel safe like their money was safe and secure. Same should apply today with apps and virtual banking. I don’t want to see adds and third party links when simply trying to view my person savings account information. This app makes me want to leave NWSB. Nick.Version: 1.1

BIG Disappointment!!This app is definitely not an upgrade from the prior one. While it had a little room for improvement, this doesn’t hit any of those marks. It is a visual disaster; very difficult to locate individual transactions or find checks or deposits at a glance. The login process is a mess. Nearly every time I attempt to use the app, I get a message to call the support line. (This is different from a password error message.) While I wait on hold, I’m often able to get in on the third or fourth attempt. I haven’t talked to a single local friend who is happy with this app, and it’s the only bank in town. This overhaul needs an overhaul!.Version: 1.1

Not thrilledMy payments stopped functioning and needed to be redone. Sat in the queue for chat service for over an hour for an assist. When I did connect if there was a 2 min lag waiting for response the chat ends and you start all over. Functions show up not available try again messages or call for help. Can’t call you won’t get through. Maybe growing pains but I see nothing new and exciting or easier. Just headaches and downtime. Hope they work out the bugs..Version: 1.1

New app confusing and annoyingThis new app is much less streamlined than the previous- the text size and font is confusing and makes the balance ledger area look busy. It’s hard to quickly determine deposits or withdrawals since everything is in black color rather than red and green. I frequently get error messages when logging in saying the app is unavailable and to call the Bankline number. I wish we had the option to use the original app..Version: 1.1

Check imageThe new way to deposit an image of a check is difficult. Has to be a dark background so that limits options. Now you touch the screen to take the image rather then a specific spot marked with a camera icon. That’s fine if it worked the first time you touch the screen to capture the image, repeated touches is annoying. The old way was much easier prior to the new updated app recently installed..Version: 1.1

Bank onlineThe new app and online banking is not as user friendly as it was - the bill pay was much better before - need to have it show how much is in the account after each bill is paid - like a running total.Version: 1.1

DisappointingThere are serious problems with the new Bill Pay. On mobile devices like IPhone and IPad you cannot change date nor amount of a scheduled payment. This recently resulted in a serious problem. I tried the online chat and got a unhelpful response. I called customer service and your one associate never called me back. I learned you cannot see all the Bill Pay functions on a mobile device. You can however on a computer screen. I now must do “mobile” banking that cannot be done on a mobile device. How is that an upgrade? I wish someone could resolve this but not sure who at Northwest Bank to contact. Disappointed in the new system..Version: 1.1

Holy crap👎🏽Where to begin... It doesn't seem to make near as much sense as the previous version. I don't understand why we can't just leave some things alone? It's complicated and not as informative and practical. Please change back to the previous. Wish I could give them 0 stars!!!I was just on the phone with their support team for an hour. Every single time I try to login with Face ID, it fails and locks me out of my account. I know I said everything up correctly because it works with every other app on my phone. They refused to believe that there was a problem with their system. As a side note, their website and their app, refuse to let me enter in my updated contact information. On the iPhone, the keyboard won’t even pop up. On the website, the text box turns green but it will not allow me to enter any text. How these new changes got approved is beyond me. Fix them, please. This experience was nothing but frustrating and aggravating. Perhaps I’ll switch to a Capital One checking account in the future….Version: 1.1

Not happyI do not like this new system at all I don’t like the way that it list the transactions I don’t like the fact that I have to use a verification every time I login on my phone and then it locks me out very frustrating! I use my face to login I should I have to do a verification every single time that’s the purpose of having a facial recognition very poor system that you have Northwest very disappointing in it!.Version: 1.1

Cumbersome and inaccurateThe process to set up and sign into the app is not user friendly. Setting up apps for other banks was faster, easier and an overall better experience. I’m not able to edit payments in the bill pay function through the app. It just sets up an additional payment instead of editing the one I want changed. Had I not caught it, the app was going to send 3 payments to the same company on 2 dates. Luckily I signed in on my computer and was able to catch the issue. Not impressed with this app at all. You’re IT department needs to be replaced!!It has been so frustrating since the ‘enhancement’. ID’s and passwords not being recognized, replacing the current app with a ‘Business’ app, which doesn’t apply and causes more frustrations. The cookies issues. I’m not able to manage the account because of the cookies and there are no directions given on hwhat to change. I’ve called northwest 4 times in the last 4 days and I can’t get the cookie issue resolved..Version: 1.1

Mobile depositDeclined?? Terrible. Mobile deposit submitted 5 days ago and you clearly have made a mistake. Not only that, but you failed to notify me that my deposit was declined. For no reason!! You declined my mobile deposit. Clearly above the endorsement is visible “for NWest mobile deposit only. “ I have the screen shot. No excuses. Horrible service and horrible that you would not tell me you declined this large deposit. I want an explanation as to why I had the delay, why when I called the bank, they claim they could not see the writing on the check image. I want to know why when following instructions from your phone help, they couldn’t see the very same check image and report to me that I had written on the back properly. He asked me to send a screen image, but it was too large. He asked me to crop it down and I did that….still too large. Terrible and I want an explanation why this happened..Version: 1.1

Login Glitch with Us Forever?The login glitch where you login, are taken to your credit score, then immediately kicked out when you tap “accounts” has been going on for far too long. This should have been an immediate priority. Usually it takes me two attempts to get to my accounts but this morning I can’t get there at all. You’d think a large bank would employee a tech team competent enough to handle this but maybe there’s a 7th grade Intro to Tech class in Idaho handling it..Version: 1.1

Worst update to an app ever!How much longer before Northwest listens to all the horrible reviews and fixes the myriad of issues their new updates have wrought?? Still can’t use bill pay on business account without having to add the payees all over again. Sick and tired of being locked out or getting account restricted messages and constantly having to change the passwords to resolve it. The website is little better than the app. 3 personal accounts and 3 business accounts- this is becoming more aggravation than it’s worth to stay at Northwest. TerribleThis new app is terrible, everything is so clustered together it makes it difficult to keep track of things and why does a credit score app need to take up most of the page with our account info, that needs to be minimized and accounts larger, also, I can’t get into my bill pay, it keeps saying my browser is blocking cookies, this is not true, making it so I can not pay my bills, back to writing out checks again, thanks Northwest, this app needs to go, bring back the old version at least it worked. Thinking about switching banksThe new app is terrible. I had to find out from a post on Facebook from other customers who use this app and bank that the old app was turned into a business one and I had to download a new app. This was after I had been trying to log into the app to check my account but couldn’t log in I’m sorry, but that’s not how I should have found out that information. I also can’t see the accurate amount in my account days after paying bills and other things. I’m talking almost three days later and none of the bills I payed are showed to come out of my account. What’s the point of the app if I can’t see my accurate numbers?.Version: 1.1

WhyDo I have to use an app. I’m typing a message I can’t see. White on white text/background. Why am I locked out of the website with no notices? It took me too long to find how to pay my 3rd party loan through the transfer option. Why the ads on every page? STAY AWAY. You’ve been warned.Stay away from this company. Pay an extra .125 or .25%. I will never do business with these numb skulls again. I am MLO for a tech company. Both professionally and as a consumer stay away. There customer service is terrible, there app is as well. You’ve been warned! Old App was BetterThis app is too cluttered and I don’t even have a credit score as of right now so the credit score feature taking up the whole front page is really annoying. In the beginning my Face ID wasn’t even working and now when I try to log into the app whether it’s using my Face ID or my login information the app says “unknown error has occurred” so I had to delete and reinstall the app. I loved the old app and it seems by these reviews everyone else did as well. Needs ImprovementDepositing a check is a much slower process than with the old app. To deposit a check, the check must be over a dark background or else it won’t take the picture when you touch the screen. Then once you submit it, it takes probably 25 seconds to get confirmation that it was submitted. I hope this feedback helps..Version: 1.1

Considering switching banks because this app is so badThe previous version of Themis app wasn’t anything great, but it was fine. It was usable. This version is visually cluttered and slow. When I want to do a quick check of my balances, two-thirds of the screen is taken up by ads, and links to services I don’t want or need. It takes horrendously long to navigate or load anything, and when you finally get a page to load, good luck making sense of the recent transactions. Text pushes up against other text and balances aren’t visually distinguished from other text. This is enough hassle to make me switch banks. Think I may be doing so..Version: 1.1

Bad replacement appWe had to replace the old app with this new app. just awful. I paid five bills at 3 pm this afternoon..they still haven't been posted on my account at 11 pm. In the old app they would've appeared within two hours. This is terrible. they have something called fast balance. it's fast but it's not the correct balance because it takes a whole day for something to post. Are you kidding me?.Version: 1.1

Downgrade from previous appTransfer history is not showing actual history, and the calendar function that allows you schedule a one-time payment should populate the next available date automatically and load a calendar widget, but it does neither..Version: 1.1

Forced upgrade and failed uploadsForced to upgrade with no notice. At least I never saw one. Then spent 15 minutes or more trying to get into the new app and then finally try to upload a check. Failed multiple (at least 5) times telling me to check my Internet connection. Well just how did I get forced to install a new app, download, run through the myriad of questions and finally get in if I had no Internet. Fail fail fail..Version: 1.1

HorribleThis new app is completely useless. Why would Northwest implement such a mediocre app???? At least the old app worked and gave easy access to information. Not only does it look like decade old tech, it is a downgrade from the old app. Here’s to hoping it will allow me to sign in. Maybe one time out of ten does the sign in actually work and I’m sick of verifying my identity. Come on Northwest…Find a new app designer AND fire whoever signed off on this downgrade..Version: 1.1

Having Issues latelyAfter I change the password once and log into my account, and later try to use that new password, the app says the password is wrong. Then I create a new password and log in, just to have the same issue with the other new password I create. The Face ID also doesn’t work. This is very annoying to go through every time I open the app..Version: 1.1

Update is awefulI have been a frequent user of Northwest Mobile app and use it daily for my business. The last version had a few quirks but was packed with information and easy to access needed information quickly. This current version is a step backwards; less access to basic information, information on transfers prior to the update are no longer available (so more time spent searching manually thru accounts for information that i need), and the layout of the screens look much like those of the technology of the 1980’s (info bunched together that make it visually overwhelming and difficult to quickly find transactions). I had to double check that I am using the newest version rather than an archived and antiquated system! Northwest… please bring back the last version!.Version: 1.1

UI improvements needed along with performanceLogging in is weird for me. I can’t log in at the main screen, but if I use the FaceID screen I can log in no problem. The home page is bad in my opinion. Each account I have should have it’s own card and not be in a small list. Maybe even in each of these cards you can show the latest activity on the account? I don’t need to see my credit score all the time. This is nice but it takes up too much real-estate being on the first page. The deposit page for checks is nicer! I like how you take a picture now and the layout of the page is cleaner and feels more functional. You do have conflicting statements for what to write on checks. The one on the page is different than the one shown when you take a photo. I’ll keep using the one that displays when I take a photo, the other one is longer… I’m not a fan of the menu slider being on the right. Most of my apps it’s on the left so it’s just a mind game for me. I don’t think I need to contact button up there, though I’ve never tapped it so I’m not sure what it does….Version: 1.1

New AppI love that I am able to access my accounts online. But I use my IPad. Not thrilled to have read some things are not the same on the iPad compared to a smartphone. Also do not like the font on the new app. I thought I would get used to it in time. But no, still very confusing to my eyes..Version: 1.1

Update destroyed this app.This was a great app, key word, WAS. Now it’s like a high school kid made it. Lack of colors make it hard to read. Interface is awful. I dread doing my books and having to deal with this. The old version was fine as it was. If you’re going to update something don’t make it worse, it’s supposed to be better. New appI’m very disappointed the new app was launched without being able to use bill pay for my business because I use an iPhone. Absolutely ridiculous and very unprofessional! I received an email saying that I will have to use safari for bill pay for my business! The old app worked great! Whoever the idiot is that launched this new app should be fired! You fixed what wasn’t broken.Wow, I really do not like this new app, nor the new website. Not only is it impossible to glean any useful information at a glance, my automatic transfers that I do for tax purposes now fail randomly. That's not great -- and if something were to go awry, I'd be the one who would be in trouble, not you. The website is a nightmare -- opening a help ticket is completely useless because if the agent doesn't respond to you within 2 minute, it closes the ticket. Responding in the chat window doesn't count as doing activity on the website, so if you forget to arbitrarily click around the website while you're waiting for your ticket to be responded to, it closes your ticket. This genuinely ruins my banking experience, which I was happy with before. I've been with NWSB for like a decade or something and I've never had any complaints and now all I have are complaints.
