Thronebreaker is a single-player campaign for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game. Choice-driven, and cast with rich, multi-dimensional characters, it once again thrusts gamers into the monster-infested world of The Witcher.
Crafted by the developers responsible for some of the most iconic moments in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the game spins a truly regal tale of Meve, a war-veteran queen of two Northern Realms - Lyria and Rivia. Facing an imminent Nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to once again enter the warpath and sets out on a dark journey of destruction and revenge.

The Witcher Tales Pros
✓ No restore purchase option?!I’ve already bought the iOS version of this game. The original game has been replaced with this version which is asking us to repurchase the full game? There is a cloud sync but this still does not allow for the full game to be played. Please address this!!.Version: 1.0
✓ Criminally UnderratedPeople should be preaching the word of this game barefoot. Seriously. This just hit all the right spots for me. Queen Meve is such a compelling and interesting character, so is the rest of the cast. The soundtrack, story and atmosphere is incredible. I also happen to love Gwent. One word of warning to people though: Most of the companions you meet can decide to leave you if you do something they don’t like, and often in ways you can’t really can’t predict. In fact, in one particular instance you’re forced to pick between two companions unless you ignore that optional instance. I would advise getting a list online of these instances that can result in losing followers, but ONLY those choices. A big part of the game revolves around constantly choosing between the lesser of two evils, but if you have a list of every choice it can become all too easy to just sit there and make every choice based on a spreadsheet. So yeah, just be warned. Other than that, a criminally underrated experience that deserves so much more attention. A full Witcher game using these characters and plots would be a godsend..Version: 1.1
✓ The Witcher Tales Positive ReviewsThe Witcher Tales Cons
✗ Does not save progressIt’s a good game, the voice recordings, brilliant but I just can’t play it on a mobile phone as it doesn’t save progress - well, it does but very rarely, so if I close my phone and then come back, I lost a big chunk of playtime and need to play the same things again. In mobile gaming that’s a big issue - we need to be able to pickup the game, play for a few minutes then put down and then play again later from the same place where we left it..Version: 1.1
✗ Gwent was fun, this is notThe game is basically a series of puzzle Gwent matches. That seems like a fun idea, but the puzzles feel like they’re designed to require a very specific set of actions and cards to win, so the match is less about clever strategy and more about frustrating trail-and-error until you find the exact series of actions required to win. To make things worse, each match starts with random card draws, so if you don’t have the cards you need you can lose before you even begin. But the final straw is that your AI opponent seems to have a massive advantage over you in every match, like you’re a beginner playing against a pro, so you never just lose, you’re crushed in defeat every time in a way that makes the game feel impossible and hopeless. Gwent is a great multiplayer card game, but unfortunately this single player spin-off just feels wildly unbalanced..Version: 1.1
