✓ GlitchyFreezes up when I’m trying to edit a page, and a window appears essentially stating, “We know, but give it a minute and it’s all good.” But the only way to unfreeze the freeze is to delete and reinstall the app. This happened twice. After the third time, I reinstalled the familiar blue (old) Wordpress app. To the techies at Wordpress, let us know pls if someone fixes the glitch.Version: 21.9

✓ Transfer all my data from WordPress? NOT appealing to me.Jetpack! I am SO hesitant to give yet another app my data and login details. Isn’t part of the reason why so many users are loyal to WordPress that everything at least appears to be ‘in house’? I am trying to REDUCE how many companies have my personal data and / or access to my life. I will look up why this change happened but my first impulse is that is a nail in the coffin for my 15 year loyalty to Wordpress if the way to access my blog now requires me to hand my data to Jetpack. I’ll have to educate myself on the Jetpack/Wordpress motivations for this change but I will also look for an alternative option for hosting all of my websites as a backup to forced migration of my functionality and data from one to another company. ✓ Application gets worse and worse with every updateThe mobile application team at WordPress appears to have absolutely no quality control. Latest 23.0 update completely broke Voice Control accessibility support for article editing. Making it unusable for anyone depending upon Voice Control to interact with the application. Furthermore, the interval between asking WordPress' email happiness engineers for support and actually hearing back from this support team, have continued to become longer and unpredictable. ✓ The app lags as i typed on my keyboard.As I type posts it’s as if the touchscreen keys on the keyboard get sticky and either don’t work every time or repeat the same letters. It’s very annoying and it’s hard to type and write long posts. It’s all the buttons, the letters, sometimes the backspace won’t work for 2-3 tries, the spacebar places a period instead of space and I and up typing a capital letter, etc. Not sure why. Maybe it’s the iPad iOS, maybe I should try typing with the screen horizontally, maybe my 3-5 year old iPad is beat up too much but idk. ✓ Website blogging is betterI have to agree with most people. I do not see all that much added to the app. And just like the other versions of the WP app—I think there were two or three—it is WAY EASIER to get all the functionality of blogging if you just do it online through a browser. ✓ Why not just stay a part of Wordpress?I’m not sure why Jetpack felt the need to make an app independent of Wordpress and force Wordpress users to swap to a secondary app for things that are available within Wordpress and are tied directly to Wordpress. Jetpack exists within the Wordpress ecosystem, there’s no reason for it to exist independently. I use Jetpack for Wordpress site stats, why would I want Jetpack to be independent of Wordpress? I hate having to have two apps to run my sites, especially since I can’t seem to get into the Jetpack app with my Wordpress credentials. This whole thing makes zero sense and it might be time to find a new plug in to handle my stats on Wordpress. The Jetpack app does not recognize the newly published post, and still has a draft with “local changes” of the previously edited version. ✓ Unusable: No Other Words to Describe ItUnusable. There are no other words to describe it. The Jetpack app opens and sporadically crashes, regardless of how many times the app is reinstalled, how many cache flushes are performed, how many hard resets are performed for the device etc. This has been ongoing for months! I would think that the worlds largest Internet platform would have fixed it the first day, right?! The only way I can access WordPress statistics is by logging in from a desktop or laptop. This issue is really dumb because WordPress statistics worked flawlessly before within the native WordPress app. Thank you to the WordPress team for “fixing” something that was already great to “make it better” but in actuality making it way worse. Publish a post and you’ll find it in drafts and have to publish it again, that happens randomly so always check it has published. It objects to the word ‘we’ regularly and suggests that I change it to either ‘we’ or random words beginning with w that make no grammatical sense. ✓ Lacks customization and can’t load in previewThis app started off great but the more that I wanted to customize my blog the more I started to not like this application. For example, allow me to add spaces by enter instead of new boxes, allow me to enter in colors in the pinwheel, allow me to save colors, allow easier methods of inputting links and videos. ✓ Forced obsolescence, no real benefit, horrible aestheticsStats were being stripped out of the old Wordpress app I had been using for years, so I was forced to migrate to this one. It offers no new functionality I have found yet. It changed everything to awful shade of neon green. That’s the only change I have seen. ✓ Why Jetpack?I really don’t understand why we have Jetpack when Wordpress was great and basically identical. The disgusting green color really is off-putting and the whole premise is the same as Wordpress. It’s the exact same - just a different color and name. So why??? ✓ Almost unusableDespite numerous call outs to Wordpress support, this app continues to disappoint. Buggy, slow, constantly stalling, no solutions have been offered by the makers, other than it seems to be a huge drain on your device memory when using, which, more than once, it was claimed updates would fix. In principle, this app should be absolutely invaluable. The interface is smooth and instinctive, and it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into it. In practice, it’s a nightmare to use on both iPad and iPhone, and I’m at a loss to understand why. Could it be a plug-in conflict? Could it be that Jetpack works better if you host your site with Wordpress? Whatever the reasons, this is such a disappointment, and I’m at a loss to understand why the developers haven’t deep dived into issues raised by paying users to try and address concerns. I keep hoping that with every upgrade they’ll sort the basic problem of crashes and stalls. With every upgrade, they get worse. Please sort this.
