This isn’t a game of chance so what are the odds that EVERY SINGLE PLAY the player to the left of me has the card just above mine to win the play. Make it real or it’s pointless. We already have to deal with the seven million ads, not per game but per play. Then to have to deal with the fact that the left player always - always - will have the card to beat your play is nonsense. Pure nonsense. ✓ Dumb partnerMy partner couldn’t follow suit and our opponent who’d bid NIL had the trick. My partner trumped the trick! Partner should’ve thrown off instead of taking the trick. Opponent would’ve failed their NIL attempt. Also, when I bid NIL, my partner does not support me by leading a high card. Partner often leads a two or a three instead. ✓ Too Many Freaking AdsI don’t know what game the person who said that there weren’t too many ads was playing, but it clearly wasn’t this one. This is a very well made Spades game, but the ads are nearly constant! Worse, there are two different kinds of ads: one that merely interrupts your game with a 30 second video, which really aren’t too bad (even though they do make you click through 3 or 4 screens before you can actually get out of the ad. It is the second kind of ad that ruins the game though. There is a little banner ad on the bottom of the screen, not a problem in itself. About every 30-45 seconds, the game opens up your web browser and automatically takes you to the advertised site. It makes the game completely unplayable. And, therefore, it gets one star. Although this game proves to be entertaining, I have noticed one tragic flaw that annoys me sooooo much I’m considering deleting. ✓ Not Real SpadesNot based upon the real game. Designed to keep everyone competitive regardless of skill levels. Consistently rigs the hands to cause you to lose when they want you to lose. The probability of going ten or more games in a row with zero to two spades has to be astronomical. Of course this only started happening once I was at the top of the ladder for months. ✓ Feedback for developersThis game becomes tedious because 1. The deal is not random but skewed against the user 2. It loses flavour when the only way to win is to play 'nil' tricks in 3 out of 5 deals 3. The partner of the user is not programmed for strategy Eg partner leads low to draw a high card when user is trying to lose all tricks 4. The partner of the user always over estimates the number of tricks that it will win so the user must under bid to avoid negative scores. ✓ DO NOT WASTE TOUR TIMEThis game is trash. There are multiple ads after each hand. They let you click to skip but then you still have to wait for 2-3 ads to finish their countdown before you can continue. Playing bots is the worst part. They underbid on the regular which forces you to think your hand is solid, then they deal the bots better hands after you don’t make your books. Save yourself the headache! Some of the ads require clicking Done, then Close (X), then wait for a timer, then sometimes hit Done again, Close again. After that seems like the computer players know exactly what’s in your hand and your team mate suddenly becomes and idiot and counts tricks on suits that it has seven cards in. A five year old can understand that if you have seven of a suit someone is going to spade on it b4 you can score 3 tricks in that suit.
