✓ Great but needs some improvementsI love the app and have been using it for a week but the sound recognition for the c string isn’t perfect, when I am playing a song and it keeps saying the c string is wrong but when I go to tune it it says it’s perfect 👌. ✓ Very very good! A must have for starter musicians!I love this app very much. I feel like it boosted my ukulele and guitar skills. It’s very good at teaching chords, the tuning it provides it amazing, and there are many cool songs in different playing levels for you to try. But I wish you would add some more songs like ‘count on me’ and ‘over the rainbow’ and other songs that just remind people of the ukulele. Another thing that I thought would be nice if you guys added was the lyrics to the songs. They could play on the spot above the chords so that the player could ing along to the songs as well as play them. It’s just a thought :) This is a very good app and I can’t wait to learn more. ✓ Filter by melodyI love the app and it has really improved my playing but I wish it allowed you to filter by either songs that are either chords, melody or both as I prefer to play the melody of songs but I have to go into each song to see if it is just the chords or melody. It would also be good if there was a teaching section to learn normal sheet music or tabs as well otherwise the only time I can play music is with the app..Version: 4.65.0

✓ Goodbye Private Lessons, Hello Uke App!I have been attempting to play ukulele for over a year with expensive private lessons and could barely play two songs. I finally downloaded this app after watching my 11 year old become a piano playing machine by using an app. I could not believe how good I was playing ukulele in less than a week with this app!!! I’ve had a ukulele for years but never really put a thought to it. So, I decided to find a good free app that you don’t have to pay for. But, once you get to a certain point on the app it makes you pay. It will ask you to start a 7- day free trial but then you have to pay monthly just to play. ✓ Good but something is wrongI loved the about 30 minutes of when I could use this app. After getting to Chords 1 after the video, I could no longer access the missions. I thought, “okay, it’s doing that thing where it won’t let you play all day” and I got off the app. 24 hours later, I tried to practice again, and still the same problem. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app to see if it was just a glitch but I still can’t play. I’m not going to pay for the premium plan just to do the things I was doing before. ✓ It’s promising….I quite like the app - it’s pretty easy to get into. I like the way that the little ball bounces to the beat which is important for anyone who says that they can’t count. I would, however, prefer to have the option of seeing the tab for the song in a score (as well) so that when practising, I can see what is coming up next. Also, it enables you to practise away from the band on your own. ✓ Perfect for a beginner (Like me)!Hello! This is a wonderful app, I bought a Concert Ukulele a week or two ago and have not stopped using this app since! I found it a bit confusing at first but after getting the ant of it I succeeded! I’m currently paying for a monthly plan and want to go all the way until I finish the lessons! There are some suggestions I’d like to make though! -One being to make this available on consoles! I have an Xbox at home that is hooked up to my TV so I could be looking at my Yousician lessons on a bigger screen if made possible! It’s okay on my phone however with tiny screens I find it that I have to hunch over to see my lessons and notes! - Second maybe add a larger array of songs! I originally bought to Ukulele to play my own favorite songs on however none of them are on Yousician :,) (My personal favorites being ones created by Rebecca Sugar). However if that is a hard option to make happen it’s understandable! But overall a very good app for learning basics and it is beginner friendly all round. ✓ Great startI bought a ukulele on the 27th Dec 2023 - after not picking up a stringed instrument for 20 years - wow it’s so brilliant I have already passed level 3 with all gold stars. The organised progression is brilliant. For everyone complaining the app forces you to pay up front annually, you just aren’t looking at the details properly. Yes it asks if you want to subscribe for a year, but then underneath it gives you other options to subscribe for a month or 3 months. As for people complaining about the price, it would be far more expensive to find a real life tutor or attend real life classes. I know because I have payed tutors to help with learning other instruments. You can easily pay £30 an hour or more! So £30 for three months using the app is amazing value for money..Version: 4.92.0
✓ Love the app but have a suggestion!I recently got my first ukulele a couple weeks ago, and have been looking for apps to help me learn how to play it. So far out of all the apps I’ve tried, this one is definitely my favorite, but there’s only one thing that could make me love it entirely. Adding the Steven Universe soundtrack!! :) that show is what inspired me to get a ukulele in the first place, and I’ve been wanting to play the show’s songs for years. If you are able to add any of the songs from Steven Universe into the app (or at least the ones that use primarily a ukulele in them) I would 100% be more than happy to buy the subscription. Not sure what’s going on there but it doesn’t really affect my progress, just my score. ✓ Perfect! A few cons,Hello! This is coming from a person right now, at 12:28 P.M! Great app! Really helps me learn songs I wanted to play on the uke/ukulele! All-though there are a few cons, I was like half way into the start of the app (obviously when I first started) and when I played one of the strings in (Learning melodys lesson 1) It told me to play string 2 Fret 3 and I did it but it did not work, I wasted half a hour trying to make it work, And then my brother talked somehow how string 2 fret 3 sounds like, The other con is when I was getting my ukulele ready by tuning it, It said that string “E” A.K.A string 2 was string “C” A.K.A string 3. Luckily there is only 2 cons in my opinion! Great app. One more con, As I was playing “My dog has Fleas” In almost the first melody, I noticed that it was WAY to hard for a beginner like me, I have only been using Yousician for around a week or so, i JUST started it and it was way to hard. ✓ Good place to start! 💫I’m not joking when I say that most households have a ukulele that is untouched and out of tune - I was in this situation and then I came across this app! Even though the premium version costs a fortune, you can just use the free version - which is still great for me! You just sign up and boom 💥 you have a huge course of tutorials on how to play which comes with 15 minutes a day of playing along with their songs but you don’t even need this as soon as you learn the chords - you have the internet! Although some might argue that 15 minutes isn’t enough, I think that if you are only doing it as a hobby, it’s just the right amount. The software is so easy to use, the microphone works great and I’ve never experienced any glitches. The only thing I’d say is to add more songs to the free collection and less ads popping up everywhere for the premium version.
