Chat needs improvementThe app is great to see a quick overview of your trip. The chat feature is completely useless. Having to open the app just to see if someone has sent something important in the chat is a pain. There’s no point in the chat feature if you can’t get push notifications and have to open the app to check. Now that my trip leaves in less than 30 days I am checking the chat every morning..Version: 1.2.1

Lots of BugsI was super excited to see EF created an app! It was working for a while, but ever since the last update it hasn’t loaded a single thing for me. If this is our main source of communication while on a trip, it isn’t very reliable. Hopefully once all the bugs are fixed it’ll be a great resource!.Version: 1.0.5

Chat update is not goodNewest version doesn’t show you who all is going on your trip, only the people who have interacted in the chat. It doesn’t even show you the amount of people in your tour group. There was already an option to hide your profile from fellow travelers (which hides your picture and travel stats but not your name), so why not just make that the default setting for all profiles unless the traveler opts in to adding a photo and sharing stats? Being able to see the list of first names from past trips has been helpful when looking at photos and remembering events. The updated version of the chat now makes it even harder for all travelers to interact - especially the shy people..Version: 3.0.0

EF Is a scamThis is the absolute worst company and I'm pretty sure it's all a scam. I booked a trip back in March and found out two months before I was set to leave that they had canceled my tour due to "low enrollment". Due to their policy, I was supposed to be able to be rebooked for a similar date. THEY RESCHEDULED MY TRIP 4 TIMES AND WERE UNABLE TO CONFIRM ME FOR A TRIP ALL 4 TIMES. They had my money for two months and were unable to rebook me each time, despite telling me I would be prioritized to be booked. They also kept trying to charge me an extra "adult fee" every time THEY had to reschedule my trip. I absolutely regret not canceling sooner, as they took 2-3 weeks each time I rescheduled to inform me that I wasn't able to be booked. In the amount of time I spent on hold and calling those incompetent clowns over the course of my rescheduling process, I would have been able to book my own trip a dozen times over. Fortunately, I ended up being able to book a trip through G Adventures at the last minute. G Adventures was able to book me and get me a flight ticket in just an hour. G Adventures was able to do in ONE HOUR what EF literally could not do in TWO MONTHS. EF is literally a scam. Don't ever give them your money..Version: 1.0.5

What’s going on?I have had the app for a few months now and up until a few days ago it was working great. About a week ago it only showed me a countdown to my trip and I couldn’t access anything else for my trip. Now, it won’t even load my trip and I have tried deleting the app and re-downloaded it to see if that solved the issue- NOPE. My trip is in less than a month and I’m bothered by the fact I can’t use this “convenient” tool to make preparation easier..Version: 1.2.0

Needs workSo far it looks okay but the app crashes with money converter and trying to change it from dark to light mode and you can’t message people privately..Version: 1.0.4

Loading foreverNothing ever loads it just shows the little airplane logo with loading and then freezes up. I can’t open any trip because the app just freezes sometimes it won’t even let me open the app.Version: 2.2.1

Needs slight workI really like the app and love what they’ve done, however I don’t know if it’s just me but everytime I open the app it doesn’t load the trips page for details, so I have to log out and log back in every time I open the app. It’s kind of annoying, but hoping it gets fixed!.Version: 2.1.1

UselessThis app does not provide anything useful for my trip, which is in 2 days. The app worked fine for the first few weeks, but starting a few days ago, I havent been able to access any information about my trip. When I click on my trip on the “Tours” page, I should be able to see options to view the group chat, itinerary, my flights, etc. All I see is that my tour is in 2 days, and nothing else..Version: 1.1.0

App not workingThe tour part of the app is in a constant loading screen so I’m unable to interact with my fellow travelers before departing.Version: 2.2.1

Started out fineDownloaded the app last month and it worked great. But now as of a couple of days ago, the only thing that shows up when I click of my trip is “Days until I’m traveling the world.” Everything else including the group chat doesn’t show up at all.Version: 1.1.0

Just make a WhatsAppI would definitely recommend EF Ultimate Break for trips abroad, especially for countries outside of Europe. However, on my most recent trip we used the chat feature on the app and it’s horrendous. You’ll see messages on the Lock Screen but when trying to view them and respond in the app nothing loads. We used to use WhatsApp for trips and that is much better for messaging..Version: 3.2.0

Iceland April 22-27 2023First day of arrival was unorganized and frustrating as we were waiting in the downstairs lobby for most of the day as other people slowly arrived. Instead of waiting around, I believe this time would have been better used as free time as most of us were hungry and sleep deprived from our overnight flights. We did not get our room until 3pm, so we went 12-24 hours with no food and no time to rest. We were then told to just drop our bags at 3pm in the room to start our tour around town. No one at this time had a chance to eat yet and we were all exhausted which made it difficult to enjoy the day. Second day: Waterfall tours were very well done and tour director was knowledgeable and led the day well, lunch that was included was very delicious. The northern light excursion was a great experience and I highly recommend staying with that company as it was an amazing experience despite not seeing the lights. However, due to having to wake up very early the next morning I would recommend having this on night 3 instead since we didn’t have anything planned until Blue Lagoon at 1330. Would have filled the day better and gave us more time to sleep after the lights. Third day: This days itinerary was slightly misleading as we did not get a chance to see any volcanoes up close, and only spent 10 minutes at the glacier lookout. Black sand beach was a great experience and in speaking with other members it was the favourite part of the trip. Fourth(Last) day: We had an absurd amount of free time until we left for blue lagoon at 1330. As mentioned above, the sleep in time would have been great following the lights instead. A group of us went on an excursion we booked ourselves, whale watching… and hearing from others in the group this would have been something that everyone wished would have been an included scheduled activity. It was an incredible experience. Dinner at the brewery was excellent. Tour Director: Phillipe was responsible and polite. However he is a bit on the quiet side, did not engage much with the group. I expected someone more outgoing and conversational. I found that he was very time-crunch concerned and perhaps needed to read the room better and could have cut some things shorter, leaving a little more time at the places that we really enjoyed. Overall, the tour was very enjoyable..Version: 2.3.0

Chat should be more prominentApp is great so far, very easy to use. The trip info and itinerary are clear and easy to navigate. But the group chat needs to be more up front and easy to see. Either it needs to be one of the first things you see upon opening the app, or have some sort of alert to new messages so we don’t have to constantly be going to the chat to see if there’s anything new..Version: 2.1.0

Cannot do more than log inWhen I open the app, I get the login screen. After logging in, it’s perpetually stuck on “loading your experience” no matter what connection I am on. I’m also unable to alter any settings, but I can see them..Version: 2.2.1

Don’t let them rob youYou’ll have no idea where your money is going - all of the hotels, flights, and accommodations are cheap and terrible. I could have easily done this trip by myself, and for cheaper to. You’re better off traveling solo…otherwise you risk having a worse experience.Version: 2.4.1

0/10 Would not recommend, feels like theftMy boyfriend and I booked a trip to Europe in 2020, the trip was canceled due to Covid. We were issued a voucher for the full amount. When we decided we would do our own thing (2021) we were told it would be $600 cancellation fee each. We then decided to rebook for a Australian trip in 2023. In addition to a total $4k up charge for this trip we were informed, after booking, that this trip did not offer joint rooms and this would be an additional $1k/each if we (now married) wanted to stay in a single room. At this point we were nearly $14k all in for this trip and that was simply not going to be an option for us. When we requested to cancel a trip 9 months in advance of departure, we were charged a fee of $450/each for the “trip arrangements”. There was no offer to assist with the room even though there was no mention of the discrepancy between trips at time of booking. The fact is $900 is an aggressive amount to charge, and it makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed and feel like I was taken advantage of. Please use your money elsewhere, safe travels..Version: 2.2.1

Okay…Well I got this app because I wanted to start traveling more and I have had friends to use this app but I can’t even access the app because it won’t load in. It’s been loading for literally two days. Over. It..Version: 3.2.0

I love this company to travel but this app not goodThe app has a hard time loading. My group chat for my upcoming tour isn’t loading so I don’t even know if the group chat started ( my tour is in less than 30 days) or if it’s just not loading. It loads very slow or not at all to the point I still have to look on the website. I’m most worried about this group chat bc it’s not working for me or my friend and like I said we leave for this trip soon and we don’t even know who our tour guide is or what. That said this company EF is pretty amazing and we have traveled with them in the past and will continue too until we age out 😂.Version: 1.2.0

Slow AppI think the app is a good idea because for my first EF trip it didn’t exist, however it is extremely slow to load. It takes several minutes to load when you click on anything. It’s no wonder the tour directors still use WhatsApp to communicate instead of the EF app. Also when you get a new notification of any kind, the notification always says something about there being a new update available instead of saying what it’s actually about (I.e. “someone commented on the chat”)..Version: 2.2.1

Group Chat IssuesLove that they made an app and it seems really useful, especially since I used to just go to their website and login on my phone every single time I wanted to check on something which was annoying. My only major issue is that after posting something in the group chat, I can't respond to what people have replied to me.Version: 1.2.0
