Loses saves on AppleTVGreat game, but always loses your saved progress on AppleTV. Start the game, pick a save slot and play for a while. Exit to the menu and check the save is there. Leave the game (using the quit option in the menu), come back and all saves are gone. Very frustrating!.Version: 1.0

Lots of lagI play on an iPhone 15 pro max, after about 5 minutes of play the sound starts to cut out, and the game gets increasingly choppy until it becomes unplayable. Exiting to the menu and recentering doesn’t help (but the menu runs smoothly). Only fix is so swipe up and close the app entirely, but the issue will reappear after another 5 minutes..Version: 3.3.1

Be careful playing on multiple devicesI played initially on my iPhone, and then wanted to play on my iPad. My save wasn’t there so it started a new game. To my horror, I discovered my iPhone save has been overridden by my new iPad save… Guess I’m starting again? So much for cross-platform support..Version: 1.0

It’s alrightIt’s a good game don’t get me wrong, but it needs the same settings customisation as the pc and console versions, also it needs the gore back even if it is a feature that can be toggled (without it it just doesn’t feel like any of your hits have the same effect behind them).Version: 1.0

Fun, but problematicI think the joystick is a really uncomfortable way to play. Its super small and it’s way too easy to accidentally crouch. Could we have the option for buttons instead?.Version: 1.0

Great game until…My son spent hours playing the Apple Arcade version on our Apple TV and making progress through the game, loving it all the way. Then, while playing, the game flashed a screen saying “error”, threw him back to the main screen, and wiped all his progress. I see that there is additional levels/areas included in the plus version, but no way to play them unless you finish the original game? He was fairly far along and it would have been ok to just skip the ending of the original, I guess, but having to start all over is pretty daunting. So, two start for fun while it lasted..Version: 3.2.0

Great Game, On Other PlatformsDead Cells is one of the best indie games ever made - but it’s definitely not a game I would recommend getting Apple Arcade for, or even playing on Arcade. The iOS version is regularly a few updates behind the version on other platforms, and still suffers from baffling performance and control issues even when using a controller. It’s fun, if you already pay for Apple Arcade, and it’s the kind of game that we definitely need more of on iOS. I guess it’s more of a critique of Apple Arcade than Dead Cells, but it would be nice if the version we got here was up to par with what we see on Steam and even Switch..Version: 3.2.0

Great game, massive technical issues. So let me start off by saying, I really want to play this game. It was a lot of fun. Until it became entirely unplayable. I stated off on an M1 12.9” iPad. Played for maybe an hour then I started to notice Stutter. After about 20 more minutes it was impossible to play. It was like the FPS was capped at 15. I toggled the settings, what little there were for video, no change at all. I moved to my iPhone 15 pro, downloaded the game, had iCloud bring over my data. Played again for almost an hour, maybe a little less. Exact same issue. Massive massive slow down. It almost hurt my eyes to play. Again, toggled settings. Nothing. No change. Neither of my devices were hot or even warm. Both devices were plugged in for the majority of gameplay. Again, can’t stress enough I was having a lot of fun with the game while it worked. But the performance issues absolutely can not be overlooked..Version: 3.3.1

Not bad not good eitherFor starters dead cells is a great game this port was done pretty well. The downside is how far behind it is and when you ask the company about it they act cocky and crack jokes so sad. Will stick to playing on console and my backbone with my Xbox.Version: 3.2.0

Getting betterBlood and gore has now been added and also some very good accessibility features as well. HOWEVER, one issue still remains. The weapon “swing” particle effects are still blurry, as if they are stuck on low graphics. This is the same with the torch flame graphics which also look blurry. The portal graphics also look blurry. Also lighting effects have the same issue. In fact, if you pay close attention to the Apple Arcade trailer, you can see these issues. Is this a mobile port limitation? To not have effects be as sharply rendered as the PC version for example? One final feature you could add would be the ability to play with a keyboard.Version: 1.0.2

Problems with teleportingThis game is fabulous. Story wise and the graphics too. The only problem is that most times I can’t click on a new portal after interacting with one and I have to wait a couple seconds. I’m not sure if this is a bug.Version: 3.3.0

Dead Cells is one of the best Rogue-lites ever createdThe reason for 2 stars is because the overlay controls on mobile for DC is not very intuitive. I have hundreds of hours playing DC with a controller and I can barely clear first level due to controls. They are poorly placed, take up too much room on screen and are poorly spaced. A more intuitive system for jump/dash would be nice. Something like a hold to run then release to slide and tap to jump for example. The D-pad slider is finicky and for a platformer is kind of based. Movement is everything, fluidity equals both fun and engaging gameplay. This game’s mobile controls need work..Version: 3.3.1

Unbelievably buggy. Lost progress 2xThe developers will tell you this is a Game Center/cloud issue but I’ve only seen it on this game. First off the game play is brilliant and awesome, but sometimes the sound will go off/ start glitching. Restarting your Apple TV will usually solve the problem. However, twice I lost all progress in the game. The second time was after I amassed tons of mutations, and unlocked multiple weapons and outfits. I restarted the game and it erased everything. Game Center has no record of me ever playing the game, zero achievements. I’m done with this, until these developers can figure out what every other Apple Arcade developer has figured out..Version: 3.2.0

Save deleted when opening it on iPadAt this point it's useless to say that this is an amazing game, it's truly great. My issue is that I have hours and hours of progress deleted because I opened the game on a separate device. It was extremely frustrating. The support FAQ claims that it's not their fault as the synchronisation is done by Apple but I'm playing loads of iOS games on many different devices and that's the first time it happened to me. Looking at the comments online, I'm not the only one and it has to be fixed. I'm not playing the game knowing I can lose my progress any time..Version: 3.3.1

BoringInteresting game just so bored to start from the beginning every time u die.Version: 3.3.1
