✓ Can’t get past the tutorialI’d like to try this game but I can’t get past the first page of the six page tutorial. No amount of swiping, tapping or sliding will open the next page. Hopeless. Ros.Version: 1.4.1
✓ Not as it was advertised and too many adsI wish the game was just like how the ad advertised it as. In the ad for this game, when it lets you play, it gives a category and you tap all the words in the category until you’ve got all the words, then on to the next category and so on until you clear the board. I liked it and downloaded the app only to find out it’s absolutely nothing like the ad at all. You have to drag the words together to match categories without touching a word in the other categories and you can do several categories at once. I liked the way it was in the ad way better. I’ve never seen a word game give you “lives” and when you try to try the level again it gives you a completely different board and doesn’t actually let you retry the level you failed. I played 3 levels and spent more time watching ads than I did actually playing the game. This game definitely needs a lot of improvement/upgrades but has the potential to eventually become a fun game but so far, for me, it’s more frustrating than anything..Version: 1.11.2

✓ Ugh! Another Ad!!!I love this game. I got totally hooked the minute I downloaded the app. It is a very enjoyable game. It makes you think, strategize, and passes the time nicely without boring you to death. But, I am deleting the app because the ads are out of control! I get the whole ad thing, you need to put them in to make money but the amount of ads in this game is over the top. There should be a way to get through the whole level without the painful experience of watching sometimes double and triple ads in between groupings. I spent more time painfully sitting there watching ads than I did playing your fun game. ✓ Sausage Fingers Lose LivesI love the idea of this app but it can be a little awkward to use. I don’t know if it’s just a me and my sausage finger’s problem but I accidentally put words into the wrong categories but I don’t know until it’s too late. When you’re moving your thumb (or whatever finger you use to play) your hand tends to cover the screen and the words you accidentally selected. You have 3 lives per level and all of mine go in this mistake. I had to restart a level so many times that I got frustrated and deleted the app. It’s a shame as it’s an app I’d really like to play..Version: 1.4.1

I only played for about 20 minutes and received over 10 ads. They are skippable after a certain point but it’s still far too many. I had to delete the app because of the incessant ads. ✓ Fun in theory, execution is lackingI want to start out by saying that I think this game is really fun. There are, however, a lot of things that make it unplayable. 1. There is a limited number of moves (bad on its own), but it isn’t displayed how many you have left. 2. A lives system on a word game? Really? It’s extremely annoying, especially on levels that are really long. 3. Finally, worst of all, the incredible amount of ads. As in an unskippable 30-60 second ad every minute. Worse than that, half the time, the X on the ads don’t work, so you have to restart the game and lose your progress on the level. ✓ Categories & daily challenges are too limitedI’m at level 94. Conceptually, this is a fun and unique game and had I rated it right away, my rating would have been much higher. Unfortunately, the game doesn’t stay fresh. Once you play a few levels, you’ve seen all the categories and subsequent levels are largely just variations of the prior levels. Occasionally a new category is thrown in, but very rarely. Also, the app started daily challenges but those were for only October and November 2023 and then they just abruptly ended. (Those also used the same few categories as the regular game levels). At this point, there’s really no reason for me to keep playing this game..Version: 1.10.1
✓ Mags57I have just deleted ‘associations’ app game as it is an unfair game with unfair rules and the rules that I play in one level then change in the next level which is wholly unfair. The reason for deleting is that there was a word GLASS and the only category left was Chemical compounds - I looked up the internet to check if Glass was a chemical compound and it said it was, so I felt Triumphant in associating both together - the moment I did that it came up saying INCORRECT and reverting me back to the beginning! Today I was on Level 5 and the App froze on me and no matter how many times I tried to open a new game, it was still Frozen, no alternative but to delete and start again. If you don’t like Ad’s forget this one too, there are just so many, it puts one off trying to finish a Level!.Version: 1.4.1

It’s just the right level of challenging to be able to connect the words and to think ahead to not put groups in the way of other connections etc. What bothers me is how repetitive the categories are. ✓ MisleadingI downloaded this game from an advert whilst playing a different game. It asks you to tap the words associated to a topic. This game doesn’t have a topic at the top instead you have to join all the words in the same category together in a line. If you accidentally join a word not in the category you lose a life. This is easily done as the line doesn’t always follow the finger exactly. So frustrated as it was portrayed as something completely different, but it’s okay to pass time and my 8year old likes it hence the one star.Version: 1.11.1

✓ AdsGame is enjoyable, I personally like the challenge of having lives and maneuvering around words so you only highlight what you need. But, the ads have become unbearable. Many of them are unskippable, and the ones that can be skipped need to be watched for at least 10 seconds. Ads for extra lives and a new level make sense, but there are times when I make only 2-3 matches at a time before getting ad popups. Game is slightly challenging and entertaining at first because there are a lot of uncommon words like names of mountain, rivers, animals, creatures, etc. Then it gets repetitive and you do the same categories over and over and over again and then it’s boring. Also, you don’t know how many words are needed to complete a topic. Sometimes it’s 3, 6, 9, 12, etc. and some words could be used for 2 categories (example: “trunk” could be used for the flowers/trees, human body, and elephant) and you can only how many words are in each category by connecting 2 words together and letting go. Also, when swiping and doing a long sequence, it likes to add neighboring words, which takes away a life. I’d give the game 2-3 stars if they actually got rid of ALL ads when you pay FIVE DOLLARS for a no ads experience. Waste of $5!!!! Disappointing for sure..Version: 1.11.1
✓ Not worth itThis game is fun and challenging, but having to watch a 45sec-1 min ad every 30ish seconds is overwhelming and obnoxious. The game is not good enough to justify paying to be ad free. There’s a lot of bugs that need to be fixed such as: lots of freezing, the lag is terrible, and sometimes when it freezes and you have to exit out and reopen, you’ll be promoted to watch yet another ad just to find out all your progress on that level was lost. The subject or types of items to match repeats just about every level so it’s difficult to find/get new categories. This number would be exorbitantly high for any single level of basically any phone game but when you take into consideration that a level of this game would take about two ads worth of time to finish without interruption, you can start to see how frustrating the ads really are. For instance if you link all modes of transportation and all types of hats, but need to go back and link a type of dance, you can’t because the modes of transportation are in the way! Depending on how quick you go through the parts of each level you could be watching a one minute unskippable ad every 30-60 seconds, I even had some ads that I couldn’t close which resulted in me having to reboot the whole app and loose my progress. I realize ads are needed, my recommendation for this company would be to either put ads on a timer situation (every 5 minutes or so, even if they’re longer ads), make your ads skippable after a few seconds, or to have ads as the extra and at the end of each level. In between each adding of words is too much. I also realize that there’s the option to purchase the no ads part, but given that I couldn’t play for a full hour with ads without having to reset the app or really actually get into the levels I’m playing due to the excessive amount of ads I can’t even say I like the game well enough to invest my own money into it. ✓ Overall it’s okayI think overall it’s a fine game, it has the potential to be a good puzzle game. But it’s also kind of annoying to play sometimes. It can finicky when you try to connect multiple words together, often connecting to the wrong ones. Which is a problem when you only have 3 lives. Another issue is the fact you have a limited amount of turns. Which in itself isn’t an issue but the problem is it doesn’t tell you how many turns you have. Kinda bizarre if you ask me. ✓ Great idea- execution still definitely has kinksThe game is outstanding.. in its basic form. The sad reality is that this game has all the potential to be one of the go-to’s for all of us brain nerds, but has some serious red flags. The number, length and frequency of your ad play is far to high for a game that doesn’t have the greatest platform to begin with. By that I mean— HOLY LAG BATMAN. On top of some seriously rooted bugs, I’ve had plenty of frozen screens, lost game/level play, just plain unresponsive screen touches/taps/etc. If you put those three together— you will understand why folks will just plain move onto the next or the game that is like-minded to yours but has far less bugs and way less ad play and time. Because if you were playing and all the sudden your screen froze, and did not unfreeze itself, which led to you having to close and reopen the app— just to lead you directly into a 30-45 second ad, just for you to discover that the game didn’t account for any of the work you had done prior to the screen freezing…. ✓ My opinion on the game ‘Associations’This game is a fun and entertaining for those who get bored easily. But the downsides to the game are the worst part. First of all there are quite a few ads there is at least 1 ad per level. ✓ TOO MANY ADS!I normally don’t mind ads in games like these because it’s a free game especially one like this with a fun concept, however, I don’t think it needs 4-6 ads every level. For example an ad for entering the level, an ad for getting every set of words to continue the level, plus added extras to “shuffle” the level if you corner yourself in and then another when you finish the level! One or two ads a level is more than enough in my opinion multiple ads like this just make me not want to play the game or play offline so I don’t get ads at all. ✓ Has potential but could be better.I WAS enjoying the game for what little bit I could play and would have liked to continue playing but there’s one thing that really needs to be done for people to not get sick of this game very quickly. ✓ Extremely hardThis game is to freaking hard I love a challenge but dang this was tooooo challenging for me I decided to delete it cause I got so frustrated . ✓ Obvious Ad FarmingThe ads are ridiculous. Just to get to the next stage of a single level you need to watch an ad. ✓ Holy ads!This game is really fun conceptually and I wanted to love it. That said, I can’t even get a board without watching at least 1-2 ads. Then whenever I add more words (which you have to do to complete) I have to watch an add. So to beat a level you minimally have to watch 6 ads. (Assuming no mistakes.) Then, the interface is too sensitive while also simultaneously not responding. You get three life’s per level. Which would be fine but since it doesn’t properly register what your trying to do you run out of lives quickly. The only way to add another heart OR restart the level is TO WATCH ANOTHER AD. ✓ Game needs to be betterI love this game and I play it all the time but I’m starting to get frustrated. The first thing that needs to be fixed is definitely the amount of adds that are being shown. Every two seconds I’m playing it feels like a add is popping up. Also maybe if you give the player coins for completing a board they can use that as ways to get more hints instead of watching more adds. It’s also really hard to group together words without dragging other words with it. I suggest instead of dragging you can click on the words that go together. It’s also really annoying that you have to start out on a new board and restart every single time you lose. Instead of having to restart there can be a undo button and the board will stay the same. ✓ Waaaay too many adsThis is a challenging game (which is great!) so you mess up a lot. But you only get 2 chances before an add comes on. So the time you spend watching an ad vs the time you spend playing is way out of proportion. For one game, you have to watch 5 ads at the base (one to get in and one to open up each section of the game) and that is only if you play perfectly, which you won’t. So every other time you mess up, there’s another ad. The developers need to rethink this approach.
