✓ Too simpleI played for a few days but it never got challenging. Maybe make the puzzles bigger like the standard places please. I never used any hints except the one the tutorial forced me too. Maybe have easy medium and hard versions. Ads don’t bother me. Most apps have them. I just walk away for a few minutes..Version: 1.4

✓ Desperately needs pencil marksI do these as often as I can in physical magazines and I love them. I was delighted to find this app. However, I want to be able to put in light, small letters into the squares whenever I’m unsure of what the proper word is. Without this capability the game becomes rather frustrating. The other frustrating issue is this: when there are two words left from one letter and there are no clues as to which one goes where, I have to guess. Then, even though the puzzle is finished, my score includes “2 mistakes” when it was complete chance as to which word to put where. This needs to be fixed..Version: 1.5

I screwed up and needed to go back but you can only undo one step which meant I needed to restart the app. In order to get back to where I was before the mistake I had to watch 8 ads, including an ad just to open the menu. ✓ Being forced (or bullied) to buy because of ad frequencyI get that this is a free game with ads to pay for development but I should be able to go more than 20 seconds without getting a new ad. I love the idea and format but I feel that I’m being bullied into paying for the game without ads just to be able to play. The ad frequency is going to make me delete this game. The developer doesn’t even care that they are driving players away. Read through the comments. People have been complaining about the frequency of ads for months and the developer just blows it off and suggests to purchase the game. ✓ Ads ads and more adsThe first few rounds of the game were fun and there were only ads in between levels. By the third or fourth round the ads interrupt the middle of gameplay and are not skippable. ✓ GarbageDeveloper replied to a review saying that they should put less ads for earlier levels so that players can get hooked first. That was 4 months ago so the devs obviously didn’t listen to the suggestion despite saying they would. I deleted this game after three puzzles because I got a 50 second ad after reach level 😡👎. ✓ Ads are killing your game!!Hi there, now after you guys read this I'm really hoping you don't hit me with the same exact thing you say to everyone else "remove ads option ( settings - shop- remove ads) that's really annoying getting feedback and that's all you have to really say... if I could give you about 1/8 of a star I would be I cannot so you unfortunately get one star, I downloaded this game in hopes it'd be better then other not having over a trillion ads after clicking one thing...it's ridiculous! I played for a minute or so and felt I couldn't breathe because of the ads, sorry if that's your only way to make money but this is definitely not the way to go. ✓ Great game but problemsLove this game! Keeps my brain thoroughly entertained. However I’m fed up of the levels which I’m being forced to use hints. The problem is some letters have more words than can be seen in that section at the bottom of the screen. I can’t swipe to see the other words for that letter so I’m forced to use a hint to finish the level. I won’t be paying extra for hints so will just give up the app when I run out. ✓ WAY too many addsThe game is fun but you have to watch like 5 ads EACH game. You hit start, immediately an Ad, then there are 2-3 Ads during the game and then as soon as you finish it there’s another ad that you have to watch before proceeding to the main menu. ✓ Ads in the middle of levelsAfter you get a way along in the game the ads start popping up, often one or two ads midway through the levels. The only way to turn this off is to pay money . I’m deleting it. I understand they need to make money but this just seems greedy. ETA: A note to the devs, you really have a nice game here, I enjoyed playing for the few hours that I kept it. We all accept these as a part of how free games fund themselves. And personally, if it’s a game I enjoy, i’m at peace with that, and even willing to shell out mons to support games i play frequently. After booting this game, though, had no fewer than four ad breaks by the time I finished level two. That is too many ads during the testing phase, and so even many of us puzzle-heads who would enjoy the game will figure it’s not worth the effort and uninstall. Seriously, you have an interesting little twist here; trust your product to pull people in for the long haul. Wait until level 5-10 until the ads kick in, so we word puzzle peeps know we’ll enjoy the game enough to stick longterm. All ads full blast up front? You are turning away longterm players for short-term gains, plain as that. Once they’re a couple levels in and know they enjoy the game, the. flip the “all the ads button” and you’ll get more longterm players willing to either withstand the ads or pay money to play without. ✓ Very confusedI downloaded this game because it looked fun, but once i started playing i noticed that the “words” were just jumbled letters. They weren’t even actual words. I don’t know if that was the point, if it’s a glitch, or maybe a different language i’m unaware of, but while it was still kind of fun to play it became very lame very quickly. ✓ Forced to download gamesThis app helped me pass time for few games, then the Ads started increasing. Not only did the Ads increase, but the “X” to get out of the Ad and resume playing would not work. The Ad is clearly still moving, proving my phone wasn’t frozen. The only way I could resume my previous game was to download the game it was advertising. I kept closing the app hoping it’d bring me back to previous progress but instead it made me restart my game. ✓ Would be coolSuch a cool idea, and it’s very interesting But, My very first complain was the fact you have to restart the whole level if you mess a word up, you get a certain amount of “erasers”. Not sure if you can get more just by watching an ad or you have to pay. Regardless, it’s very annoying. The main and most annoying part, all the ads. It really kills the fun of everything. You get a pop up saying “Your support helps us run this project!!”. Then you get an option to either pay to remove ads (cost 5.99) or to watch the ad. The ads are skippable, but it’s the fact that I’d only been playing for a few minutes and this popped up sooo many times. A lot of stuff in there they sell for money, like the erasers and hints. I understand that you need the money, but if you want people to actually play your game you need to minimize the amount of ads. Lots of people watching skippable/few ads will be way more than the few people willing to either sit through it, or pay like 6 dollars to remove all of it. ✓ As honest a review as I can be!I have always loved this type of puzzle. I’ve been playing Places, Please for decades in puzzle magazines. I really want to love this app, but there a few issues that are going to make me stop playing. 1) having an Ad after each word or having the app automatically add words will render an ad. 2) I would love to support this app & purchase the $5.99 to delete the Ads but I won’t because of the next few issues 3) paying another $10 for erasers that are needed to solve the larger puzzles because you are supposed to get a reward after solving so many puzzles, but I’ve received none. 4) when there are only 2 words left to be added, but you need to play eeny, meeny, miny, moe & hope you picked the correct one, so either you accept it as a mistake or play the level over again. 5)a word that needed to be added was longer the space allowed on an 11” iPad & only the first 2 letters of the word were shown. I realize it’ a fairly new app & there needs to be time to work out some of the bugs, I will play, but will not pay until some of these issues are solved..Version: 1.5
