Lifesum: Food Tracker & Diet Pros

A m a z i n gI’m usually not one for healthy eating and all that jazz since I’m just a eat-when-hungry-eat-when-bored kinda 14 year old but this app makes it so simple to lose weight. It honestly makes you feel great about yourself while giving small tips of encouragement. I HIGHLY recommend getting this app even if you’re just planning on having a healthy lifestyle or if you’re just generally interested in how you’re lifestyle is..HbbgujnnVersion: 8.10.2

Changed my lifeThis app is so great! I have lost 10 pounds with it so far and I’ve only been using it for a little over a month! I don’t have the premium plan so you can lose weight on it without having to pay for it which is amazing! I will continue to use this app until I reach my goal weight and I truly believe I can do that using This app. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to lose weight while still feeling in control with the classic weight loss plan. Update 8/8/19: I’ve officially gotten to my goal of losing 40 pounds!!! This app is truly amazing, from being aesthetically pleasing to actually working this is an all around great way to track your meals and exercise. I have tried many other methods of weight loss and none of them worked for me, until I found lifesum. This app can change your life in the best way possible, if you let it. You have to be consistent and work hard but you can get there, and I truly believe anyone can effectively lose weight with this app..CthftjjyfgjfjyfVersion: 9.2.5

Lifesum: Food Tracker & Diet Cons

BuggyI liked the app in the beginning because of its look, widgets and stuff, and got subscription but after using for 2 days I found that the app is full of bugs. First of all it doesn’t sync Fat % count, waist counts etc from Apple health, it only syncs with weight and bmi. Secondly the most annoying bug is that the widget and the app itself doesn’t sync properly. It shows one value (kal, protein, fat etc) in the app and shows different value on the widget sometimes (happens like 20-30 times a day, of course I didn’t exactly count but it happens a lot). This bug mostly happens when you worked out and burned calories, it doesn’t always take that into account in the widget but if you open the app and close it then the widget starts to show correct value again. Then if you lock your screen then sometimes (a lot) it goes back to old buggy numbers. This is a very basic test you should have done before releasing an update. Quality control team is not doing their job properly. You are charging people $10 per month (3 months membership) and giving this horrible experience. I might ask for a refund from apple but I just like the look of this app so much. So I’m still confused about asking for refund because I really want to use this app..Killx0neVersion: 11.2.1

Keep Improving This AppI use a few apps for recipes already. Those apps all include nutrition values and labels. It would be nice if I could import/share those into lifesum without having to manually enter everything one at a time. A few of them have options to add those values to Apple health directly from the app. Lifesum writes data to health, but does not read. I think it would almost be better to separate functions out to apps. Have food apps handle entering / removing data into health and then have trackers reading and analyzing what you just ate so you can make informed decisions. I’d rather have two clean apps rather than one bloated app. I would imagine narrowing the scope would take out a lot of the overhead needed to maintain and update the app, thus making it even more clean and user friendly. Anyways, this is just my observation after using lots of food tracking apps. The interface may be different but functionally they are all kinda doing the same thing. I would also like to see more support for the Apple Watch when it comes to simple things like adding water and quick calories. The front end of this app is really beautifully done. If the back end was doing something unique then I could see myself paying for this app..Mijuto82Version: 10.3.1
