✓ Impossible to use, skip this oneFor $5, I expected much, much more. A monkey must've designed this program, it's hard to use. 1) No way to have multiple lists. 2) Trying to change the quantity sometimes resulted in taking the item off my list, sometimes it jumped to another part of the list cause of the index on the right side of the list. Rarely did it actually change the quantity. 3) Picking items to put on your list is not intuitive. 4) No way to add a note to an item. 5) The Share tab is just a big white screen with an Email button on it, all it does is a plain text email. Needs a way to sync lists between phones. 6) Checking items off your list takes 2 seconds, makes it really hard to check off items quickly. GroceryZen is not worth $5, I would pass on it until they add more features and drop the price quite a bit..GregoryHouseMDVersion: 0

✓ Good, but could be betterHelps with shopping but you could improve the way quantities and measures are done. At the moment I can't record quantites like 175 g. You can only have 150, 170 or 200. You should allow for more precised measures. Next upgrade maybe?.IwonaSVersion: 0

✓ Another list app with little useUntil this app gets more functionality than notes or can import recipes (it comes with 3) save your money. I'd be more forgiving if this had an awesome feature such as being able to store what items you have at home and compare that to a recipe and tell you what to shop for, but it doesn't. It takes the entire list for a recipe. It also has an the odd feature that tells you when you need a vacation. If you have to use the item location to remember that milk is in dairy it's personal day time..---josh----Version: 0

✓ Pretty GoodIt is very functional, But i have lost 2 sets of recipes when i had to update, the program is lacking a backup feature. This is a shame, since i got the product for the shop by recipe feature. This works really well. Overall the program is very good, i like the initial food lists, and adding items is easy. Another feature you should consider is allowing quantities in the recipes them selves, not just be a bulk item. I wanted to use the recipe feature to keep recipes so i don't have to find the amounts, it is very tedious to write in the amounts in the instruction section. Other then the backup and refining the recipe input it is a great product, i use it daily now - every time i shop!.Bd09Version: 0

✓ One of the best looking and most practical appsI love this app. It all looks brilliant and the attention to detail is great, such as adding a photo to your recipe. It's really user friendly too with a simple layout and one-touch to add or tick off list items. When adding items to a shopping list you can increase the number you need to buy by tapping it. I think the complaint below comes from using the default ingredients list but the idea is you edit it or create your own. For example I added 'Milk 1 litre' to my list instead of the default 'milk'. Now I just tap the quantity when adding it to decide how much I want to buy. Simple really. The one thing I would add would be an option to put the price of an item in. It could add them up when necessary too. That way you could get a close estimate on the shopping bill or the total price of a recipe! Thanks for this app. Worth every penny..GroarkVersion: 0

✓ No no no1. There is no undo- so if you press an item on your list it disappears forever. What if you click on something accidently- and you are not sure what you clicked and an important item disappears forever? You would never even know it..... 2. It doesn't display the whole recipe line by line, if one ingredient is more characters than the line you cannot read the whole thing!! 3. It is hard to read recipes for said reason. ✓ Best Grocery AppI've tried about every grocery app and this one works best for me but it's still pretty terrible. Grocery apps seem so simple and there are so many why are they all so weak? I like that you can create your own master list of items easily so you don't have hundreds of things in the main list you'd never ever buy. Searching for items is great. The killer feature is the "recipe" feature but this is poorly named. It's really sub-lists. So you can have a recipe of things you normally buy every week and you can easily go through that list and add what you are out of. Or quickly add all the ingredients of a dish you're going to make. The biggest problem is the incredibly, no, amazingly, awful way it handles quantities. You can advance the quantity forward by tapping the quantity of an item. But if your default is 3 then it advances by 3s (one tap = 6), if your default is 1 1/2 pounds one tap gets you to 3 pounds. Any other quantity change (including removing from your shopping list) requires going to an edit screen and selecting quantity and then saving. And then the app often erases the aisle info for that item. Developer responded quickly to say I was wrong about this bug. When I gave them step-by-step instructions that always recreate it they didn't respond. I don't know if it's been updated in months. If so the changes were minute. Basically it's useful but obnoxious but still the best in a surprisingly weak class of apps..BobFalconiVersion: 1.8

✓ Good, but room to improve.The reason I decided to purchase this app was for the recipe feature. This app uses the word recipe, but actually means "ingredient list." I found this frustrating. I do, however, find the app useful, but I think there is quite a bit of untapped potential here, and hopefully that list of things shrinks as updates are released. I think a web based companion where you could add and edit recipes would be much more user friendly and time efficient than the current manual editing process on the phone. Also, when the shopping is over, it would be helpful to see the actual steps of the recipe somewhere in this app. Yes, you could put it in the "info" section, but that doesn't seem nearly as useful as being able to access steps in an easy to view way. Last thing I would add to this app is being able to save quantities in the recipes so that when the "add all ingredients" button is tapped, it automatically adds 2 tomatoes, 2.5 lbs sausage, etc..FarrinbrVersion: 0

✓ Still has a way to go...... but recent updates have improved this application a lot. I use Grocery Zen to shop so I was relieved when most of the maddening bugs were fixed. I'm waiting for the feature that allows me to sync, share and enter new items and recipes from my computer. Currently adding recipes manually is laborious. Whilst the new email feature is good I'd also like to be able to sms my shopping list (I know I know - doesn't EVERYONE have an iPhone or Blackberry?)..Devonshire16Version: 0

✓ It's niceThis is a nice grocery list, easy to add items and I love the add from recipe feature. I'd love to be able to have a separate list for different stores - does anyone shop at "just one store"? One other feature I'd like - it's not exactly zen, but very practical - I'd like to be able to add prices. Being able to track prices for comparison shopping would be lovely, and the ability to keep a running total before heading to check out would be fantastic to help me stay in my budget..ZephyrfoxVersion: 0

✓ Not that greatThey fail to mention that there is only 3 built in recipes and only 3 photos to go with those recipes. I bought this app because I thought it would inspire me to make something new but it only has 3 recipes? What the heck? Basically, don't buy it for that reason. I use it to make my grocery list and in that sene it works well for me, it is simple. I wish you could have more than one grocery list though..Beautiful-skiesVersion: 0
