✓ Very disappointing!I bought it for the email function which is horrible. You can't access your contacts, you have to manually type in email addresses. Who memorizes email addresses? Stick to the free one unless they change the way to send recordings..Version: 0
✓ Does not playback through headphonesNice write up on the features. I don’t mind paying for quality. Major fail on this 10 dollar app to not be able to playback recordings through headphones. Listening to playbacks through the external speaker is feasible in most situations..Version: 8.5

✓ DisappointedThis had very good reviews (though only a small number so perhaps I should have been warned) so I paid a premium for this. Playback of previous recordings is not intuitive. You are presented with a list but then cannot control speed, skip forward back et cetera. Simply the option to play. Perhaps there are ways around this, but certainly not intuitive if there are. You do have more control over something you have just recorded, however play back at slow speed is disappointing as the pitch changes, so no good for learning music for example. My previous recorder was excellent in that the pitch was retained even when playing back slowly. Sadly it became unreliable. Hoping for an improvement.Version: 8.5
✓ Great app but looks behind the times!Thanks for the new update... still no high res buttons!!!! The only reason I'm giving this really good app a three star rating instead of a full 5 is that after all these years since Apple launched the retina display it still has not been updated for retina display! When I launch the app and look at it I feel uneasy about the low res buttons and design. Please give the app a fresh new design or at least sharpen it up to retina display standard!.Version: 6.75
✓ Does what it says - except...This is a decent app with one major flaw - you can't easily transfer recodings to your pc. In fact, I haven't found any way to do it that doesn't require an internet connection. I've got mobile broadband and it appears to be impossible to import the recordings to itunes or direct to pc which makes editing them pretty much impossible. If I'm recording something with large gaps of random noise or coughing and I want to remove them - I can't. And for me this makes this app simply not worth the three quid it cost me. Back to my dictaphone....Version: 0
✓ No ice, just white boxThe application is good and functions like the developers say it does. The recording is clear. However, the icon on the iPad is a white box with grey lines drawn in instead of the black icon for the application. Developer doesn’t respond to e-mails..Version: 8.5

✓ Hate when apps are abandonedThis app hasn't been updated in two years. Anyway, I cannot find a way to record with bluetooth headphones using the mic that is built into them. Also, when I'm recording with the built-in mic, my Voiceover starts talking through the speaker of the device, which is in another room, and not through my headphones. ✓ Excellent sound-ordinary interfaceEasily the best sounding recorder for the iPhone,but I find the main interface pretty ordinary,most buttons too small for big fingers,and not very ergonomic,should be more basic and obvious,ie big green button for record,big red button for stop,you get the picture? ✓ Disappointing on iphone 4Sure it may have its uses and the manual claims it works better on iphone 3 (probably because iphone 4 has two mics and the noice cancelling might not know what to cancel when you get further away from the phone...just a guess). The recorder does create louder files than almost any other recorder I tested. Its recordings are just much more noisy and more compressed sounding than other apps. I tried to apply a broadband noise filter to a recording from it when I got it on my computer to try to remove the background noise and it just made it worse. This app might work if you just want to record lectures and play them back at variable speeds easily. Nevertheless, if you can't handle white noise and lower clarity on an iphone 4 (which I couldn't for my purposes), you'll need to find another app..Version: 4.3

✓ New interface, YUK!I really USED to like this application -- very intuitive, easy to use, function of what was shown was clear, and although the design certainly could use a bit of tweaking to make it more Apple-like, it was cute in a retro kind of way. The new interface, however, is baffling -- it doesn't look like anything familiar, I can't tell what part of the graphic is interactive, and I can't figure out what the icons mean. The "menu bar" at the bottom has strange icons on them that I'm afraid to press. In short, it's just not intuitive. I had to download the owner's manual so I can figure out how to use what used to be completely straight forward -- how un-Apple-like is that! It seems the interface has been overdesigned with too much of an artistic flare -- it's too much of a departure. I wish I hadn't downloaded the update!.Version: 0
