Palettes Pro for Positive User Reviews

Needs Support for PMSNeeds Pantone Color Matching support..Version: 7.1

Useful and well madeJust found this app because I needed a way to organize colors and figure out some palettes. This app is great! It had all the convenience features I wanted and is very intuitive and easy to use. The only feature I would add is maybe a few more options to display the palettes and palette colors so that I can compare the palettes to each other better and also get a better view of the colors in a single palette. I wish the preview would let me view more than colors..Version: 7.0

A must-have for Web and Graphic DesignersThe ability to automatically load colour palettes from a website is a very inventive and valuable feature. The App Store entry can't do justice for the application, so I recommend checking out the website for a full feature list and more screenshots. With this app, I can quickly tell my customers which colours they should be using, in whatever format suits them best. It's also great for generating new colours that will fit the style. The developer has done a fantastic job, and I look forward to future versions with great anticipation..Version: 0

I may be a bit dumbThis app is so cool. I am an abstract painter and it is perfect for finding new colour combos and recording schemes that I like along the way. However, I can't figure out how to clear colours from the blending tool..Version: 0

Best Color App AroundI reviewed all of the other apps available for the iPod Touch/iPhone and found this one to be far superior to the others. The developer has done an amazing job in providing a very functional and versatile tool at an extremely reasonable price. I'd like to suggest the ability to load in full Pantone color catalogs. I also concur with an earlier reviewer's request that we be given the ability to both remove the borders as well as define a unique background color. Once again, fantastic job!.Version: 0

Still the BEST!!!I have been using Palettes Pro for a long time and it is one of the most useful apps I have ever purchased (especially if you are an artist or designer). I am so happy the developers have continued to improve and supported it, unlike many other apps that have fallen by the wayside as the years have gone by..Version: 6.0

Best Color PaletteIt is easy to use.Version: 9.1

The Best mixer colorThis are the best app, great vale! Happy for pay.Version: 9.1

Great Way to Customize a PaletteJust bought an Ipad 3, and found this app. To redo my living room, I needed to capture the colors in my Chinese screen, as that will remain when all else goes. With my Ipad I could snap photos of different parts of the screen and learn the color numbers for the hues captured. It adds an extra margin of safety in decorating as i pull shades for my personal palette. It was so easy to use!.Version: 4.0

WonderfulThis is a great application if you need to know immediately what the color values are for a website or a graphic! Makes it much easier for me than manually trying to figure this out. I'd pay more for this!.Version: 0

Great appAwesome app so far! Wish I could pick the colors it picks from photos, though..Version: 0

Brilliant! This is so awesome! It's easy to use and you can grab pallets from anywhere! It's the most covenient swatch book ever!.Version: 0

Innovative color combination appI particularly like several features of this app: (1) the ability to design multiple named color palettes allows you to experiment with different schemes for each situation, mixing and matching. (2) the ability to not only do triadic, complementary, etc., but to do your own custom intermediate blends. (3) the way the color edit slider bars show you (with color gradients above the pointer) just how the color will change as you make adjustments. (4) nicely integrated help system with hyperlinks. The developer is also very responsive to ideas for suggested and improved features. I asked for a full screen color preview mode and Rick added it on the next revision. (Hold your finger down on a palette color for 2 seconds and it will come up full screen.).Version: 0

BrilliantA must have for any web or graphic designer. You do need to go to their site so see the full list of features. This will get used lots..Version: 0

Needs pms colors. Otherwise great app!I use the pms colors all the time....pls add! Love the tool!.Version: 0

Versatile & UsefulI have 4 apps of this type and this is hands-down the BEST. It's easy to use and loaded with info. Play with it a while to discover all its capabilities. I use this app a lot and have had zero problems with it. I love it that I can identify a color at a single pixel level in a photo up to an entire photo. From that I can get all sorts of info related to the color(s). Very cool. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!.Version: 0

Great Update! This is the best Palette app out there. The latest update for iPad is impressive..Version: 0

Exceeded ExpectationsTruly awesome app that does every thing as stated in the description. Very very handy thing to be able to carry around with me. I was really excited about the update which allows palettes to be exported to Illustrator, etc. The developer has also been extremely helpful in answering questions that I had. Five stars!.Version: 0

Useful but not accurateThis is a good app for finding and creating a mix of colours for web or paper. It will be very useful for me thinking about colour schemes when away from the pc. However, when it tried to extract a palette from a picture, it missed some key colours which were strongly present in the image. That needs fixing. But it's still good though I'm not sure why I paid six quid for it..Version: 0

Exellent!!!This is by far my favorite artistic app that I have. I can see why it is not in the top 25 since it is so user specific. I mean, not every itouch/iPhone user needs a palette. I paint, sculpt, model, draw and work in the virtual enviornments field. I love this app so much. It has everything I could ever ask for. Thank you for creating this. PS: someone said they wished they could choose the colors from images... You can. Double tap a color slot or hit the + button. Then you can choose an image and it allows you to zoom and has a pixel close up so you can choose the exact color you want..Version: 0

Well worth the price! Best color app in the storeI am an interior designer, and after testing just about every color capture app in the store, this one is by far the best... captures the most accurate color and can capture up to 25 at once... lets you capture from the camera or just about anything else you can import (including web pages!)... exports a variety of format options to your computer in a flash... and is incredibly flexible when generating palettes and color schemes giving the user the ability to make the key decisions... play with it - there are lots of hidden features. It's quite unbelievable how much functionality made it into this little app and it hasn't crashed or frozen on me once even though I'm an app abuser ;-).Version: 0

Nice idea, but a bit flawedA few problems - App exits/crashes frequently. Doesn't appear to lose your work when it does so that is good - Can be very hard to activate a palette as the app fails to distinguish drag for a palette activation from scrolling the palette list. - Pulling a palette from a picture tends to find many similar colors and miss some more interesting ones. Aligning the picture helps a bit. One feature request - it would be nice to add a gradient tool..Version: 4.0

Super usefulFirst off, I want to say that initially I had a problem with the app functionality, and got in touch with the developer. He addressed all my issues, and the app works great now. I totally recommend this app to designers or anybody who would like to create or save a palette of color. I find it to be so amazingly useful. I am still exploring it, but even in the limited ways I have used it so far, I find to be so awesome. Really can't say enough about it..Version: 7.0

Great app!!!This was a good app when it first released. With the updates since its release, it is awesome! Mr. Maddy has great support and has added many of the suggestions from the community which is also part of what has grown this into the awesome app it is!.Version: 0

LolThe mixer is great for computer work though I kinda wished there was a traditional wheel for paints. Picking color and mixing is easy haven't exported yet..Version: 6.0

I love it but...It's too hard to put palettes from my list into the viewer. It needs to be dragged in diagonally but more often than not that just scrolls, I find it very frustrating. Is there any reason why just selecting it wouldn't be an easier way?.Version: 5.0

FabRevising an earlier review. I had trouble figuring out the delete function, so I emailed the developer, and got a QUICK response. Problem solved, and I love this app!.Version: 3.0

Great little toolI bought on sale, but would pay full price for the decisions it worked out for me today..Version: 0

One of the Best Colour PalattesI first bought ColorSutra when it came out. Realised that ColorSutra cannot be used for serious design work that Palettes could provide. The versatility and the ability to develop the various color schemes easily really attract me. It would be good if Palettes allow direct email/export of Palettes for use in Photoshop or Illlustrator..Version: 0

I wish all my apps where this good. For anyone interested in painting from photos, or learning how color works, this app is an indispensable tool, particularly if you're working in pastels. It quickly analyzes the colors in an image or web page and creates a palette of 25 colors (or less depending on your needs). It's very accurate and has a color wheel analysis tool. It runs on my iPad AND iPhone. Simply great!.Version: 7.0

Brilliant appThis app is superb and well worth the money. The reason of doesn't get 5 stars, it has crashed every so often and for a lack of a potentially great feature. Please include the new accessibility text colour test in your app. It would make it so perfect and incredibily useful feature, also unique as far as I can work out..Version: 0

IncredibleThis app is the perfect tool for inspiration. i find myself using on a near daily basis at work. the interface is easy to use and the features are awesome... especially the ability to backup the palettes and the emailing of them. can't wait to see what else they add to it!.Version: 0

Perfect! This is the PERFECT little program to create your own color pallettes! The best part is: UNLIMITED PALLETTES! This is the BEST color mapping app in the app store! *gives a big round of applause*.Version: 0

Desperatly need to include Pantone reference!Excellent little application, but i wish I had realise it did not include the design and design and print industry standard Pantone references - truth be told I would not have paid this much had I realised this was the case, worse still I would not have bought it at all if someone else was offering a Pantone alternative - PLEASE include it in future releases or this will be dead in the water as second someone else does..Version: 0

Awesome! This is a game changer. I use a digital planner in GoodNotes. This allows me to pick colors for my “pen” to match my stickers. And added bonus, I can export the colors as Procreate swatches!.Version: 9.0.2

Graphic designers and web designers—buy this!I have to say, there are not many iPhone apps out there for designers, but this one is awesome! How many times have you been out somewhere and see something that you would love to base a color scheme on? With Palettes you can take photo and make a 25-color palette out of it, email it to yourself (or anyone)—even in Photoshop and Illustrator swatch formats! Or maybe you want to pull the hex colors from a website—Palettes reads the code. Love it! Before I wrote this review I wanted to test it to see how accurate it was. So I pulled the original photos into Photoshop to compare the palettes exported with what colors were in the image, and I was very impressed. I'm going to assume that will sample the top 25 dominant colors in an image, which is something to keep in mind when photographing. Make sure you get a lot of the colors you are looking for in the image. The only thing I would change is the 3-D outlines on the color display. Maybe change that to just a gray outline or give the user the option to turn them off..Version: 0

ColormunkiThis app. Is amazing!! Its like having a Colormunki on your phone. I would definatly have paid more for this. I'm a graphic designer and I use this almost every day. The only thing I would like to see in the future is the ability to import the palettes into adobes creative suite. Other than that it's awesome, thank you Rick Maddy!.Version: 0

Favorite Color AppUsing this app is just like eating chocolate - hard to stop with just one (palette). Diana.Version: 5.0

Love_itUse this app! Don't have time to look up web colors, need that specific color you saw in that graphic or pic, don't have a color picker and you work on your Ipad? This is it..Version: 5.0

FantasticGraphic designers, illustrators, web designers will find this app one of the best color palette tools ever. Easy to use, comprehensive, useful, what more could you want?.Version: 0

I'd pay $50 for this.It is priceless to a more or less color challenged web developer. I've used a lot of color tools, this was the most natural for both capturing (from a web page or photo or screenshot), fine tuning (with blending! and color wheel suggestions), and coming up with new schemes. Buy this..Version: 0

Brilliant! enough said!!Don't hesitate to get this app, you won't be disapponted..Version: 0
